These changes if well monitored and studied can cause geometric increase in one's fortune but on the flip side, these changes can also liquidate one's capital.

Perhaps my opinion is corny. But I think that bitcoin is always profitable to buy. And if you want to be in a bigger plus, you can certainly try to catch the low price of this crypto currency, but in this case you can not guess and only see how bitcoin will grow even more. So buy bitcoins are always the next 3-5 years and will not lose. ::)

I would rather suggest you to wait until 25th October. There are many people out there saying that the prices of Bitcoin might fall after that. Even the prices have rose to this height for that thing. So basically considering a shorter term , somewhere near 25th October should be a significant time.

Certainly not Next year.You an already buy now and wait, the price may be dragged below for awhile that may take weeks but you will see weeks later that the price will recover and an investors like you will be happy to see price goes up eventually. Holding bitcoin in your wallet will serve as investment.

There is one rule every trader (or any other person) should follow when it comes to buying and selling which is - buy low , sell high . Try to buy when bitcoin market is low like for example when there are panic sells happening then sell when the price goes up. Its as some as that . There ain't no secret strategies.

in my opinion, there is no "best" time to purchase bitcoin. it all depends on your willingness to enter the world of cryptocurrency, tolerance to the volatility of the market, greed versus your goal/target price. the strategy that I use is cost-averaging method wherein I set aside a certain amount of my salary per month to purchase bitcoin regardless of the price.

For me, the best to purchase bitcoin is wheb you feel that it is low but I will suggest that you must purchase next year because the will going so high, and I really expect that the price will gonna soar high, more than what we have here now, the  just hold for long for investment. That is how I think.

Wait for Bitcoin Gold fork, this is the only reason Bitcoin gained so much right now, but soon it will fall, people will panic and sell with emotion. Just be patient. :)

All the time is a good time to buy, then hold them for a long time, and when you feel like withdrawing, then withdraw, just be sure that the value of what you're about to withdraw is much more than the value of what you've invested.

Dude even you bought Bitcoin at $6000 , you are still not buying at loss. In the next few years, Bitcoin can be $20000+ thats 3x of your investment now. What are you waiting for. Buy now, because next year on October 2018, you will not see Bitcoin at $5700 per bitcoin forever.

In buying bitcoins you should be smart. It's wise to wait for it to fall because of this you will earn a lot of money. It is as if panic selling has been sold and people are forced to sell their bitcoins to prevent further reduction of its value. They are right but here there will be opportunities for traders to buy cheap bitcoins. And of course the sellers will be left with the rise of bitcoins fast and that will enter panic buying.

as a trader, just to buy and sell and make profit, things will be very different. you can use different analysis techniques on the market to come up with the best time to buy and then sell bitcoin. it is very helpful, i admit that but it is not as helpful as you may wish it to be. bitcoin is mostly affected by the news. at least most of the times it is. so you have to have your ear to the ground to listen to what is happening and how they can change things. that is also a type of analysis the market though.

Well it depends on your budget, but obviously that the best moment to buy bitcoin is now, because a big bullish trend is approaching, we are just a week before the hard fork, and a lot of people are going to buy bitcoins before October 25th, that means that the price can go up for at least 5% or maybe more, so if you want to invest and make a quick profit, invest right now before it is too late.

You can buy the coin anytime, it hasn't reach its maximum potential yet so the price that we are seeing will surely increase. We can't apply the practice for stocks yet as of now because there is a higher chance that price will go up rather than going down.

So if you have the funds available to buy a coin or a fraction of it don't hesitate to buy it or don't wait for the price to go down because you might regret it at the end.

This year alone, I have come across this same question several times. At each time, Bitcoin was at a price lower than what it currently is. Same question was asked when it was $1000, then it climbed to $2000, then $2500 and now we have passed the $5000 mark and this question is still being asked. In other words, the best time to buy and hodl for long term is now.

I would say as soon as possible, but do not invest too much into bitcoin if you can't afford to lose it. Just make sure, no matter at what price you have bought sell it only on profit or just hold. I would not buy bitcoins now, it has been rising a lot since we hear the first thoughs about the hard fork on october, and it has been rising a lot (from near $4200 to $5800 in a few days) so it is risky to invest now, wait until the fork is done because the price will probably drop a lot, and then invest, maybe we can expect a price of $5000 after the fork, and it is a great price to start investing on it.
Or just invest on altcoins, they all are in red prices.

As the thread title when is the best time to purchase bitcoin?. Will in my opinion the best time to buy is when bitcoin become cheap its value. Cause cheap price makes us profitable when bitcoin climb to the higher value. Thats the only one i know instead of buying high price because of any speculation of bitcoin surge. Maybe it's up to you which do you preferred indeed it will continue to rise as i know but as of now i think temporary?.  . Cause you will not get a lot of profit if bitcoin suddenly fall deeper ..

The best time to buy bitcoin is as soon as possible as prices rise you will get less. You will have to watch the market and when you see a dip just buy. If you want to wait for the lowest possible price you could wait a while however price could rise over a thousand in a month so best just to buy whenever you can.

For now I think the best time to purchase Bitcoin is before the hard fork happened. You should buy some to receive bonus BTG after the hard fork :)). Beside IMO I think Bitcoin price will be double after the hard fork. I think so because I think it'll be the same as the hard fork before on 1st August when bitcoin price increased very quickly from over 2k$ to over 4k$ right after the hard fork :D. Hope this time will be the same and Bitcoin price will increase over 10k$ soon :D

Well for me, it is always the best time to buy bitcoin, because eventually it will increase its rate in every coming months. But if you have bought during the crisis of bitcoin price when China news on banning ICO which drastically dropped the bitcoin down for approximately 25% then you are really fortunate. Well I think before the emergence of Bitcoin gold people obviously won't sell bitcoins because of the fact that they are going to get equal amount of bitcoin gold so its more like getting paid for free thus we can expect the demand of bitcoins to increase and therefore we can expect to gain a good fortune, but people will for sure sell their bitcoins before November 15 so price of bitcoins will fall suddenly thus you know am thinking of selling bitcoins between this period.

Obviously the time to purchase a bitcoin when the price is low, maybe that time is like in happening last time, the banning of bitcoin in china. The bitcoin volume decrease in just one moment, for me this is the time we need to buy, it is because based on what I always observed it is easily recover. I see many forum members quoting that always its the good time to buy anytime , i agree but slightly difference of opinion. Buying bitcoin i always goof at when it has major pullback especially 20-30% sometimes, even more higher it drops during more volatility. We should see when we get that percent pullback its higher chances to buy increases & the volumes also drastically drops for sellers. I live with this simple rules, I do buying bitcoin or otherspecial coins when there are at there lowest and buy them when bitcoin or others coins when there are in there highest. I do used candlestick formation and patterns to know when bitcoin price or others coins are in uptrend or downtrend. Moreso you can also use candlestick to foretells if bitcoin is about to break out or in a range market.

I'm only half a year in the industry of trading so, the only thing that keep me alive in the industry is that when it comes to BTC I'm doing a long term trade. That means I will be holding BTC for years. In major alts like Ethereum I have observe that the price is changing significantly but you need to wait for months that's why I'm monitoring the major alts for days and months (so much time consuming). When it comes on what to buy next, I always consider thier platform and the potential of the coin if it will be popular in the industry.

Buy everytime people are selling because the price is very low at that point. DO NOT buy when price is climbing or when you see that people are buying in panic. I agree with you on this, I usually buy bitcoin mostly when everyone are selling their bitcoins and mostly when they are in panic. I always buy them when the price is low and that only occurs when there are negative news about bitcoin and just hold them after.

i see yesterday is the best time to purchase bitcoin because yesterday we are down too deep until $50xxx and if you can see this opportunity then i am sure that you are buying bitcoin. i see when the price is reach that price, the order buy and sell is change too fast and its proof that some of people having panic to see the price and they selling without thinking that its just a correction. and now we can be happy again because the price now is back increase and i hope that it will increase to $6000.

First and foremost, you already said it yourself that it is a speculation which means a theory without firm evidence since apparently, no one can predict the future anyway. Studying the market movement can only assist you to make some decisions that may hopefully fall in your favor but does not guarantee that it will.

Price manly depends on the user demand and the days when user demand is at peak then there will be a pump in the price and when the user start selling coin then there will be a dump and that will attract more user toward coin. I buy when the price is relatively low for me or if I have excess cash in my hands as at that time I don't look much at the price as I am confident that in long run price will only increase and I sell them as soon as I am in position to make good profits instead of holding it longer as buying and selling regularly is the best way to make regular profits.

I don't think it's going to be even below 4500. People have seen the last hard fork and that bitcoin recovered pretty well so i doubt that people will be willing to sell much of their btcs. People learn you know so most would probably hold it out.

yeah the last time hard fork is not going down too deep and we can hope that this time, the price is not down too deep again. i think people now is not easily getting panic when something like hard fork is happen and they will thinking that the price will be back to increase. although this is not guarantee that the people is not selling their btc but at least, people will thinking twice to sell their btc at the lower price. many of us is trying to depend on the bitcoin price that will increase more in future so i think they will hold their bitcoin until they can see the right price to sell and they can make profit from this.

As every trader advices newer traders, they mostly say buy low and sell high. But I think it is still a good time to purchase bitcoin now and if you intend to make it a retired investment then hold it for a couple of years and it will be worth the wait. I don’t think so that there is any chance of decrease in the market price not only by the end of October but also till November. As a trader I will not buy bitcoin now as price is too high for me and I will wait for next few days as price is expected to fall after the fork so that would be the best time to buy bitcoin at lower price and right now I am thinking to sell some of my coins for higher profits and if price falls then with those profits I will accumulate some more bitcoins.

First of all, if you're going to invest, invest only the amount of money which you are afford to loose. Such things can be risky and may leave you with no profits at all.

Second, you should probably purchase bitcoin when its value is low. As of the moment, its price is soaring high, so it's not advisable to jump right into buying. I remember when i bought one bitcoin at the price of $3000 and after some days it fell down on to $2500, and i regreted my buy decision. But look at bitcoin now. Hitting new all time highs. Even now buying one bitcoin seems crazy like before at $3000, but the point is that bitcoin is always reaching newer all time highs. More and more people are getting to know about crypto currency. There will be always buyers and the demand will go up for sure. There are bunch of people predicting bitcoin reaching even 100-500k. So why not hold on to one bitcoin?

If your strategy is day trades then i would hold with 16th and sell with once the fork happens. if you are a long term holder then i wouldnt worry at all as fork will happen and btc will correct itself. Then we should some another bull run before end of the year.

Prices will rise higher than before 16 Nov because the altcoins are being sold off right now so everyone can get bitcoin in preparation for the fork. If you do not intend to hold long term, you should sell it and buy altcoins.

From my perspective, there is no BEST TIME thing for buying Bitcoins. Every investor watches over the market every moment he/she can spare and calculate risks, then go for a purchase.

If you want to wait, and want to risk your time.. I think you should buy the Bitcoin when there is a hardfork coming. It will come soon in the future, but it will also never come again. You must know that there was a hardfork back then, that cost a half of price of the Bitcoin. Many people get panicked and sell their Bitcoin immediately. But I do not know, if there will be a hardfork like that again in the future. So I suggest for you to start buying or collecting Bitcoin as soon as possible. Only using MACD with long time period to decides where buy/ sell area and martiangle money management to start invest. News is only news, for me is nothing, ignore it.
