Do you think bitcoin gold value will rise to bitcoin value

This is a new coin which is even struggling not to die now. there has been reported DDOs attack targetd at BTG and from what i had there is no wallet available now for BTG. BTG will struggle although the value will rise but i dont think technically its value will rise above the BTC in the nearest future remember BTC value is also fluntuating and not stable so i dont think BTG value will rise above the BTC in the nearest future except BTC is dump and not being used again which holistically it is not possible

No coin came from fork would able to increase its value even on the half price of bitcoin.Going back in previous months on where Bitcoin cash did go out. We did able to see the sudden increase on its price but it do only managed to hit the ath of $1k usd and then suddenly dip its price and now it stabilizes and now talking on the bitcoin gold situation it is almost striving to live out.Just like what being mentioned above  ;D

Of all the factors that can be responsible for the increase in the price of bitcoin, Bitcoin Gold is the least because the effect to me is not something that will be material enough to effect that change. Bitcoin price itself has fallen from the all time high that was witnessed last week but with BTG, a lot of people will only dump BTG then buy more bitcoin for them to sell which means the increase that might be seen as a result of this exercise, will only be for a short while and couple with the trading price of BTG, I don't see it going far.

Another issue of concern is that BTG did not have the enough amount of reception one expect it to have and even SegWit that is yet to happen is gaining more attention than it. Hopefully, gradually BTG could live to expectation but not any time soon at all.

Possible factors that bitcoin Gold value be equivalent to Bitcoin:
 ~ if bitcoin will decrease its value below (500$)
 ~ if all bitcoin investors will invest to bitcoin Gold
 ~ if bitcoin popularity started to shrink because of banning around the globe
 ~ if bitcoin Gold will be endorsed by the government and declare bitcoin illegal

No.It would never happen.BTG is just a shitcoin created by hard fork.It does not have any unique features.It has no miners support.No wallet support.Just Bittrex and Yobit exchange have listed it.We don't know clearly how it would be mined and so how the transactions would take place.

No, i only read the github comment but apparently the feature is not ready and they are just starting to make it. I think it's impossible because I see bitcoin gold is the same as other altcoin. It's hard to outperform bitcoin, it seems to me that bitcoin gold is well below Bitcoin and still below Ethereum. Not to mention the support of wallets for bitcoin gold. But we should wait for the future.

If bitcoin gold will experience all what happened to bitcoin such as crazy hypes, supports from the community, government of a country, individual persons, big names in the industry, businesses etc., big merchants, local merchants, own forum or any other things that I missed, then it was possible for Bitcoin Gold to passed the original Bitcoin.

The only fork that will get to bitcoin's value is the fork that gets 100% support from the community, and this includes holders, merchants, exchanges, miners, and everyone. EVERY other fork is going to get dumped for more BTC. No fork can even stabilize at 50% of BTC's value, they will all sink. It's really a losing bet if you think you can time the market by selling your BTC for a fork and hope you can sell for profit... the common sense action is just to dump them on sight before it's too late. This applies for the up and coming SegWit2x fork and so on. Whenever there is real consensus for a real hardfork we all will know, and the correct thing to do will be to hold both, thus far there has never been such a consensus, so just keep dumping all the forks.

Yeah it has a very liitle value the first time that it was launched but we know difference of bitcoin and bitcoin gold at first, the possibility of bitcoin gold to have the same value as bitcoin is very little and it is really far from reality unless it will get a full support of the same number of bitcoin users .

BTG can only think of reaching BTC price only if it has very good supporters, and people who are ready to invest in it! If you dont have someone investing in your product, you wont ever have good profits, and for BTG, good value rise. In the initial phase I believe it will have a difficult time getting it in the market and establishing in it. Only after that they can think of reaching BTC heights!

Bitcoin gold is already trading on several exchanges and right off the bat things aren't looking good. It's trading at around 130$ right now, that's even worse than the bitcoin cash fork. They mislead people by claiming that they have replay protection ready while the reality is they opened the bounty for the one who can code replay protection 4 days before the fork. Bitcoin gold will probably not rise to go on par with original bitcoin. It has a lot of premined tokens for dev which is shady for any altcoin projects out there. I believe that it's value may not surpass bcc's current price since it is a no good bitcoin forked version with the intent of only giving profit to it's developer. Poepole thought that bitcoin gold will bring some good values to the bitcoin and pushes the prices higher, but instead it was a fail and now the blockchain community is faced with a huge disapointment, btc gold dropped bt 60% from its initial value, which makes it a huge fail, but look ay the bright side at least they are experementing with it and learning from it now rather than later, for the greater good of the users and to make bitcoin more decentrelized.

I cannot think of a better reason how can Bitcoin Gold can go up in value in the next month. You will have to go back to Bitcoin Cash, is BCH today price is high as compare to its initial price? I don't think so. It has declined so much that those who though initially about this coin gaining much is regretting their decision holding on this coin, and now they are trap and can't sell it without having to incurred so much losses. If I am to be asked, it's a big NO. Take note that these altcoins coming from bitcoin forking (Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold) are actually just a result of the UPGRADE in bitcoin network. The reasons behind forking of bitcoin network is to speed up the transactions and increase its capacity. The developers are all about the scaling issue of bitcoin network. The number of mined bitcoins is increasing everyday, and that implies that the volume of transactions everyday will increase.

The Bitcoin Gold doesn’t seem to be doing well and may have trouble surviving. It seems to be a weaker fork than the BCH was a couple of months ago. I would not recommend putting a lot of money into it until we see what happens after a few months. There are plenty of other good and inexpensive altcoins that are probably better investments right now than BTG.

Well, bitcoin Gold could increase in value to that of bitcoin. But before that could happen it will take a longer time for bitcoin and bitcoin Gold to be of the same value. Based on the current speculation it will be difficult for any altcoin to over take or be of the same value with bitcoin.

How can you even say that? BitcoinGold in not even close to BTC, and I don't see how that could ever happen. Also, I still don't know if the dev team behind them can keep their deadlines. From what I've read, they have given themselves until November 1st to release the code to allow mining, and issue it's mirror balance to the bitcoin holders at the time of the fork. Let's see if they can deliver. And I still want to see if they will really implement replay protection or not. I think it won't. Maybe it would only rise early and will somehow compete with Bitcoin but it won't totally match Bitcoin's value since it is already high. Also, a coin from a fork just like Bitcoin Cash, didn't succeed for a long period of time. It is just good for short term but eventually will also fall . And Bitcoin's value I yhink, will be more expensive after the hardfork so it is quite impossible.

Nobody can precisely predict what will be the future of bitcoin gold,it may either continue to obtain value or will loose more than it currently has.
I don't know why bitcoin cash could have some good value and bitcoin gold will have not, both are derived from same source an procedure.

Although any think can be possible but still it look like very difficult, i think bitcoin will always remain as on top and  i do not think that any altcoin or bitcoin Gold or Bitcon cash can cross or even reach to the price of bitcoin. In fact bitcoin is the main currency for people to invest and then from there they distribute their investment to other currencies.

Actually, you can't determine the value. There are almost no places where you can trade it and even those few small exchanges that allow you to do it don't allow deposits/withdrawals, so the price is based on decisions of a very small number of traders. On top of that those traders are only able to trade as much BTG as they had BTC on the exchanges at the time of the fork. I believe less than 10% of total BTG is being traded on these exchanges all together.

Not even a whole week has passed after it came out and has already died. Its website had crashed several times during the fork, there are no supporting wallets (Or were at least, not sure if any came out yet), poor development, do I need to say more? Bitcoin Cash fork was way more successful than this one.

Unable to predict. It will have a good growth like bitcoin. Even when bitcoin was introduced in the market, none believed in it that it will reach so high on its value. Likewise, we have other altcoins as well. When they were newly started, the value was very less. Slowly everyone became popular in the market. Ex: ETH, Bitcoin cash, Dash and extra. There is so much competition on proving which of the bitcoins will live longer and will remain valuable in the long run but I see the value remaining chronological in the way we got to know them and as far as i can tell bitcoin gold will never catch to bitcoin btc's level.

Even though, having a competition in that market is giving chances to other coin(btg) to compete bitcoin but I feel it can't do it. yes it is true, it all takes a process because in the market it is not possible new coins will be instantly popular and high value. surely all need consideration and people will judge, if indeed the coins are good for the long term, will surely be selling in the market and its value will automatically rise.

Yes this is so true and I agree with you on your point of view, an altcoin like Bitcoin Gold can't or should I will not ever be equal to Bitcoin. It will serve as another pump and dump coin just like those other altcoins. And Bitcoin has been here long before these altcoins were created so it'll be hard to equalize thrir value with an altcoin that was just created.

Personally, I have not felt the impact of the Gold prior to its hype in the media before its emergence. I was actually expecting that it release would give btc a dive but we have not seen that happen, at least not at the moment. Bitcoin is rather looking for another break for bullish.

I don't really think so. There are no coins that are profuced from segwit2x that matched bitcoin for a long period of time. One good example is Bitcoin cash which became popular early, but eventually, became a normal altcoin that didn't defeat Bitcoin. And now that Bitcoin is more successful than before and continuously growing, i think it became more impossible.

It will actually be a difficult thing for the value of btg to overtake. The margin is high and the coin has not done well after release, otherwise it would have started showing signs to go all out.

I've been watching the markets and it looks like BTG is going to die. People started putting money in BCC because it's the best forked coin right now. When markets open for BTG deposits there will be a huge sale. It will go below 0.01BTC for sure. None of these forked coins will come close to the price of BTC you can be sure of it.

There are certain points due to which its value can't seem to rise upto bitcoin level.
1. It seems to be aimed at distributing the crowd thus, the Crowd will always favour bitcoins so the investment made in Bitcoin gold will be very small and as you know the demand and supply rule thus the value will not increase that much.

2. Also its not safer than Bitcoins..thus people will always prefer to invest in something that is safer.

3. Also it should have something better to provide if they want to attract crowd like better security, less transaction fee, faster transaction , high stability.
And the developers are yet to announce the pros in a brief manner and right now it hasn't happened lets see if in the future it does.

Not just about the development here and unless they want to come up with something that is totally different from whatever any other altcoin has not come up with and even outdo what we have with bitcoin, then I do not see how it would happen.
They may stay relevant as an altcoin, if the devs can come up with something pretty good and fascinating, but there is no chance yet for a possibility of it rising to present bitcoin's value for now or even standing with the same value as bitcoin in the future. However, only time can tell.

Bitcoin gold was made as part of the development of bitcoin. Just like Bitcoin cash it helped to make a faster transaction and bigger capacity. This only mean that bitcoin gold is not meant to reach bitcoin value. Bitcoin gold value may reach good amoubt but bitcoin value will rise also at the same time. There were also news that, butcoin gold will just become a bitcoin supported coin instead of becoming a competitor.

There is no point in buying Bitcoin, exchanging it to Bitcoin Gold for "fast/cheap transfers" and then exchange it back into Bitcoin. That just adds exchange fees which will make the whole transfer slower and more expensive than using Bitcoin directly.

I think gold value will also rise the way bitcoin did but it will take time for gold to reach it. Bitcoin already surpassed gold's price with the span of time bitcoin, gold existed long before I was born so gold's growth is slow that's why a lot of people prefer having bitcoin now than gold.

Bitcoin Gold won't go anywhere. Look how slow exchanges are with adding it. It was available as futures on yobit and I've seen poloniex and bittrex stating they will add it ASAP but it hasn't happened. Bitcoin Cash was available for trading within days. Also, Cash started from a much higher price than BTG.

I don't know why people always compare an altcoin to bitcoin like when a new coin that had a word bitcoin in its name. The fact that they just using the fame of bitcoin and want to take the ride to it. When we all know that no altcoin can surpass bitcoin in all aspects like in its price and its network. Bitcoin gold will be just a bubble and with just a small support and attention that it's getting it will surely be just a pure hype and soon the community will get more cautious.

Firstly, Bitcoin Cash is not a segwit2x fork and that is yet to happen which would result to B2X. Bitcoin Cash was totally against 2x and was more supporting the fact of just increasing the block size to 8 mb once and for all.

This is usally made by any investor just to accept in forms of gold coin in a market with the bitcoin in as low exchange value. This alt-coin is being formed during the segwit2x fork.

Whether the price of Bitcoin Gold will rise or fall, that’s none of my business. One thing that pisses me out is that I’m not always lucky in getting these coins, I’m never lucky. During the time of Bitcoin Cash, the wallet I was using never accepted Bitcoin Cash, and by the time I found out it was too late, cause people were advised not to make any transaction as of then, so that’s how I ended up with not getting a Bitcoin Cash. Well, I didn’t bother much about that one.

Now is time for Bitcoin Gold, same thing happened but in a different way. I was thinking that Bitcoin Gold will be the hard fork on 16th November, I was surprised when I woke up one morning and news about Bitcoin Gold was everywhere and I never got Bitcoin Gold. That's not really true. It will take some time but unless Bitcoin stabilizes around trillions of dollars, there will eventually be an altcoin that will be worth more than Bitcoin. It's just a matter of time before the first altcoin reaches a value in the $100 to $500 billion range and beyond. A portfolio of alts (similar to an ETF) could even be worth trillions. Granted this will take 5-10 years or longer, but it will most likely happen.

Nope. I don't really think so. Bitcoin gold's value stopped increasing while the market value of Bitcoin continued. And lately, bitcoin cash rise and made the value of Bitcoin to fall. But eventally, bitcoin's value was wable to recover and now having a market value of 8000USD while ghe value of Bitcoin cash fell. So this proves that Bitcoin will remain on the top of cryptos for a long period of time.

I don't see any chance for bitcoin gold to reach the value of bitcoin because as we can see that the value of bitcoin gold is not that high and it is lower even if we will compare it on bitcoin cash. The bitcoin will not have any tight competitor even its clones will not be enough for bitcoin to be defeated because bitcoin has its original way and users that will become the key for its success in the future.

We were supposed to receive our BTG coins (as free airdrop) sometime in late October and till now we haven't received them. That’s true, Bitcoin Gold won’t be able to surpass the price rate of the original Bitcoin. Even right from the first time it was released, their main site was attacked, I guess by hackers from the outside. So it has been struggling all this while to survive, and we shouldn’t be talking about it competing with any coin until their platform becomes stable. Maybe it will be at same rate with bitcoin, but that might be in future and not this time.

No, of course not and to be honest I do not think bitcoin gold is going to survive a year, the project is simply terrible many people have not even taken the time to claim their coins that are rightfully theirs since they consider it a waste of time and they do not want to risk losing their coins just to get a few dollars, besides bitcoin does not stop growing so it is not going to give bitcoin gold the chance to narrow the distance in price.

To be honest, I don't see any kind of potential in the forked coins as compared to the growth of Bitcoin. Any forked coin should be considered as an altcoin and has nothing to do with the growth of Bitcoin. I am not against fork or don't even support fork but to be honest, I am more interested in the developments taking place in order to increase the efficiency and utility value of the Bitcoin. Many altcoins have their own purpose of surviving and hence they might rise multiple times but I do see rare chances of the same with forked BTC xyz coins.

Today bitcoin cash is standing around 1664 USD. Considering the rally was started two months ago, it has already surpassed it ATH. Majority of this rally is effect from the korean market though. Nonetheless people who are under impression that bitcoin is a missed train for them are now focusing on bitcoin cash. When bitcoin cash will touch 2000 to 4000 dollars(I dont know whether that will ever happen or not) people will start to look at bitcoin gold as next big thing. It is plausible from that way.
So even if bitcoin gold might not be able to scale the bitcoin value, you could store few dollars/cents at this stage in it. May be in future those dollars and cents will worth better.

I think the amount of gold in the world is not known. and I think that there is still a lot of gold stored in the ground and never touched humans. well, so I think that the amount of gold is more than the amount of bitcoin.

I dont think that this will happen, because it is unprofitable for many people, only for investors themselves. Gold is not bitcoin, gold will always have price approximately at the same place, but bitcoin can in some minutes drop to the bottom or grow till unrealistic figures. Maybe in future this will happen, because extracting gold is much harder than virtual currency.

Bitcoin gold is just one altcoins. And it can not be like BTC, so let's not expect it because it's a pump and dump coins.

BTC rip off alt is just the perfect word to use. All these coins that are forming some new development are just unnecessary and the devs actually did that to scam a lot at the end. Over time, most people who are holding them will end up just being a bag holder of shit coin and that is how I see most of them.

Forget that we are seeing them in the top 10 now, which obviously they were able to obtain from forking from bitcoin, but time will tell and it is just a matter of time before we start experiencing the death of some of them including BTG.

But as we can see after the pumping of all the coins also BTG is not doing great here. It is clear that bitcoin as well as some other coins are pretty good in the development as compared to this shit coin which was result of bitcoin fork. Firstly, many of the investors were not sure about it that it will be goo performer so they dumped the idea of it and focused on the free coins and then agin dumped it. This is why the market cap of BTG fell down pretty quickly and everything was mess finally.

I do not think that it will ever reach to bitcoin value. Bitcoin is the s the main currency which people consider as the base while the rest of the crypto currencies are the altcoin which are derived from bitcoin. I don't think so the bitcoin gold will reach bitcoin price. Because for me bitcoin is only orginal and bitcoin gold and other alt of the bitcoin will be stay at 3 digits . The price of bitcoin will continue to increase and maybe we see 6 digit in the future. But we don't know what exact happen to bitcoingold . Maybe it will increase or it will decrease.

I think bitcoin gold cannot reach the value of bitcoin now. Instead, once bitcoin value increase the effect of it to the token like bitcoin gold is decreasing the value of it. That why some token are decreasing value because of the bubble up of bitcoin value. But some time token or bitcoin gold increase it value when bitcoin value rise.

I'm not sure it will happen. Bitcoin has a very different thing than any other coin. So the view of many people will be different. I'm optimistic Bitcoin can survive and no other coin can compete. The reasons behind forking of bitcoin network is to speed up the transactions and increase its capacity. The developers are all about the scaling issue of bitcoin network. The number of mined bitcoins is increasing everyday, and that implies that the volume of transactions everyday will increase.

Putting that into perspective, the developers are not really focusing on the future of these new cryptocurrency (Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold). They are all into improving the bitcoin network and the traffic in blockchain. Thus, for me, bitcoin gold will not actually match bitcoin's value. As of now, bitcoin gold value is listed at $139.00 in coinmarketcap.com, which is even way far from bitcoin cash's value which is listed at $350.00. I am not so sure, but the price of BTG in the future I predicted would follow as the price of Bitcoin Cash (BCH), It probably will not immediately rise drastically.

Bitcoin gold value has only risen because of roger ver's scam that BTG is bitcoin and made the newbie investors think that way and invested their miney into it the price isn't stable it will surely become a pump and dump currency very soon. The reason for it is quite simple....Transferring BTC nowadays is not at all feasible because of High transaction fees. You will be amazed to know that regular transaction(1+ hrs) fees to transfer BTC is 280-300sat/byte. So making a smaller transaction is not all possible. So obviously old BTC users will definitely look for a way out for it...So hard fork like BCH or BTG is the only alternative they have coz they already have same of BTG or BCH as they use to hold BTC before hard forking.
