What is in your opinion the best altcoin to invest in for 2018 and please add why. :D

I'm holding Primecoins because the Chinese like it's utilization and search for primenumbers. 
Second favorite now is Dogecoin, it's widely distributed all over the world and community is buzzing.

*** I do not recommend to invest in mentioned coins without the research, how it was launched, how it developed, community involvement, adoptionrate, price history, volume, etc.
 So do your own homework cause you're the ONLY ONE responsible for your trades.

0x project (ZRX), it's a protocol for decentralized exchanges
Request.network (REQ) they are going to be huge, same potential of OMG, really well backed

Agreed zrx seems like a really good project i mean they got listed on all the major exchanges right away that's surely a big of a deal.
I would also suggest to invest in neo it had gone low but is making it's way up to top again , many might say it isn't worth but if you see from what was it's initial price i would surely suggest you to grab some neo now

Some projects I am following, Stratis, KNC, NEO and REQ. I am also following Utrust, I am interested to see how their ICO performs in a few days time before making any decisions.

zrx - protocol for decentrilized exchages, have not been pumped
xrp - have agreement with many banks, I hope for soon implementation.

I'm holding on to Cardano and Verge. Both are pretty cheap right now but with big updates ahead that I think will cause them to soar.

Great project, with many big updates in the pipeline. Very undervalued at just around $3.50

Since I am part brick block. I have checked their Ann and their site it is really good for the early investors who wish to make some decent money without any fear. Personally, I am not really fond of the ICO and cheap new introduced coins. Better we can invest on the TP listed altcoin which stay in top 20 in the list.

Cardano looks like it appreciated much from the ICO price. It may take a while for it to rise simply because of its already high valuation ($650M). Verge just has me shocked because it was sitting at $250k market cap for so long.

Byteball seems like a good platform and bytes are very undervalued right now at $200 per GB, great entry point.

for a spesific one based on my view :
TKR - Because they will launch the desktop application and many more.
KMD - Atomic swaps
ETH - Rumour said there will be a transition to POS from POW next year.

basically everything is so damn good right now,
so nothing to worry about if we can hold it for a long time.

ETH, because good coin, good community with much user, good volume transaction

I guess too, ethereum is on the top now of altcoins community I don't think if there's any altcoin surpass this coin. I'm looking forward to $1000 value of ethereum at the end of the year 2018, like bitcoin this altcoin have a potential to survive.
Who knows if one day ethereum coin was evolve and like bitcoin, there's a lot of possibility in this world we can't says what happen in the future.

I am tracking ICOs that are expecting big launches during Q1 2018. This includes Gladius, BlockStack, ATLANT, TolenLab and Cashaa.

What I normally do is put in about 1k a week before the launch. Combined with stop loss of about 10% and hope for a miracle to happen. Worked so far with BitQuence and KyberNetwork exchange launch.

My opinion for looking towards the best alt coins for any future investment relies more over the performance they did over the last couple of years.
I dont really care about the new tokens, but instead will trust over the project/devs/team/community/market sentiments.

I strongly believe that keeping investments in best alts is safe and beneficial. I would stay in $ETH , $ETC, $XRP, $NEO, $STRAT, $OMG, $QTUM, etc.

Look for coins that have potential and are not already over bought and over hyped. Example Ethereum was over hyped for a long long time. It has never made an All time high the last several months despite Bitcoin doubling.

Those who bought Ethereum at $400 have lost money. It has the posential to increase in value now. We will see $400 in the next 3 months.

But other Alts are better more profitable. Look for coins with a dedicated blockchain and good support. Like Electroneum ETN!

this list of the coins is a good list and we can considering to analyze for each coins but for me, i think eth, etc, xrp and neo will give a good profit to us if the coins is increase. we can check in many exchanges that this coins show a good sign in the past and each of the coins can increase so high and we can expecting that the increase will come back again. but i think if we are only buy ethereum and hold for a long term investment for 2018, it will give some good result to us while there is many coins that will give another profit too.

I don't think it'd be right making these kind of speculations. If the ICO turns out unproductive next year these informations would turn out to be misleading. I believe everyone should participate in ICOs according to their discretion.

NEO, ETH, ZEC, XMR, MCO are my investment lists because all these altcoins have had a very good development and made many investors believe in the altcoin. In 2018 prices will stabilize and will rise very high

With crypto dont look for "good or decent" coins look for great ones. Look for coins like ant shares that can make you multi millions with a small buy.

The only coin right now with ant shares / NEO potential is without a doubt Electroneum. ETN. It has its own blockchain and mobile android apple mining program.

It only need to 100x and i will be happy. It has much more potential if you give it longer than 6 months. Depends on how patient you are.

Those are all over pumped, It will take a long time to profit from those if you bought the top.

You should look for coins that you havent heard are good coins. Thats how all those started. Especially Etherum

i do agree with you. i invested some money in the neo because i believe this one wil rise high. they say 2018 will be the year of the crypto currency!

I'm just looking forward to bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold and ethereum, these altcoins have a good potential. Therefore it is the good coins that substitute to bitcoin in the future, I think it was not far to happen.
Even though, I also monitored the ark and waves because it seems interesting so I'm just thinking if I need to observed it to see if this coins are raising up for long time.

Problem with Primecoin is there is no active developments and no community initiative to do marketing and develop tools.
On the other hand it's widely spread all around the world. A little like Dogecoin on a much smaller scale. It has a huge amount
of faucets but not many other use cases like games or apps. There are however many merchants and websites that accept them
so the trade volumes are increasing anyhow. A very slow but natural growing adoption rate. They will sure follow Bitcoin and
Litecoin on it's way up just a little later since they also launched later.


They probably like scientific and technology gadgets. Digital currencies, they will go mad about, it hasn't even started. I see most trade volume is on Chinese exchanges past year(s).
Or someone has continued to rotate his own stack of XPM's.

Phore will have plenty of news in the coming days, weeks, months.
A marketplace based on the openbazaar will be integrated to the Phore wallet, when this is released price will likely shoot up.
Supply is low because of people wanting to own masternodes, this will really help with the price boost when nothing will be for sale.

Next big project might be privacy smart contracts that could be YUGE aswell.

You hit the nail on the head.  If everyone has heard about it, the hype cycle is already over.  The life-changing (i.e. 100x) gains are not found in currencies everyone has already heard of; you need an undiscovered gem for a shot at those kinds of gains.

My favorite undiscovered gem is Spectrecoin (XSPEC).  Privacy coins are the wave of the future, and Spectrecoin has some of the most robust privacy and anonymity technology available.

There are only around 21 million in circulation, yet the price is still well under $1.  This is not likely to remain the case for long.

This is one coin which should easily reach $5-10 within a year, and it would still be grossly undervalued, imo.

Well, i think there are so many great altcoins to be considered for 2018 because they are such a great projects not only Cardano. e.g. Waves, IOTA, Stratis, Tether, QTUM, and Lisk.

If DO is not inculded i think Wagerr is a good option, Mainnet launch in mid january, and the project has a great potential, decentralised bet has a bright futur i think.

Most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.
The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

Maybe you need to see and monitor the ethereum first, after that, you invest only in the altcoin on this one. ethereum is very altcoin a lot of devotees and the longer the prices will be more expensive.

I would recommend you guys to check SAPIEN(SPN), it is a decentralized social news platform built on Ethereum blockchain. You could relate this to Steemit if you don't do a full research about it, but it's not really like Steemit. At the start of their presale, in about 13 hours, they already raised 14M$ and over 17M$ raised in just only four days. A lot of successful partnership has been made so this just shows a lot of potential for this project.

I am for a monero, in which the commission is minimal in exchange. But getting this coin is harder than others, but it's worth it. In spite of this, the monero has such advantages as anonymity, security and high liquidity. Another thing is that many still do not trust him much, but the developers try to raise the demand at a slower pace. So this is my leader.

The OP is asking for Altcoins that is undervalued right now that has a huge potential to go high in the future so that we can exchange ideas about great coins to invest with. Ethereum is out of the question as it is already expected to be hyped this year and its price is pegged at 800$-1200$ back and forth as seen in the price movement.

The 3 coins most have this year are Bitcoin, Ethereum and NEO, if lighting become functional and user friendly it is likely  to boost the price of Bitcoin and there are some new development going on in the space that have been overshadow by the recent price dip. Ethereum and NEO will continue to see new projects listed on its platform and the price will continue to rise

My favor is VTC. Vertbase is about to open. He also gives good news to the team. I think VTC is a project with a potential to reach $ 100. I invest as much as I can.

I think it's NEO because;
-Chinese support. That's very important. This is just like what Ethereum and Russia did together in 2017.
-New ICO's in NEO platform. This is similar as Ethereum as well.
-Good volume, big exchanges, big demand etc.

Ethereum can be a very sensible investment. Ethereum can be very profitable if it is entered with large capital. My surprise candidate is VIA. Everything in this market can be anything.

I can only agree with the opinion of the etherium. It is this coin that does not cause doubts in its prospects for the future. The fact is that recently the price of the etherium transaction has increased, But in general there is no fluctuation in the duration of financial transactions. Therefore, the etherium is quite stable and a good coin. Especially that can bring the price even higher than it is today.
