It's a good idea to revive a cool coin like this, but it will need some developer chops to pull this off. With Nova closing, your new coin will not be tradeable anywhere.

Looks like the chain is stuck at 580, could people with empty wallets disable staking either by locking the wallet or adding staking=0 to the config file.

chain is moving now, not much swaps so far and everyone that swapped is running masternode, not staking

Moving well now, masternodes work well and the wallet is fine. Hopefully there will be some more interest soon.

i did take time to research and i didnt found anything being done for the coin, also almost 0 activity in old thread and the "new dev" didnt even bothered to even make new ann, he can bring all his friends from thecryptochat to bash here but this swap is still happening!
since you did so much research on this coin and the new dev, did he even tried to get it on some other exchange than the almost dead novaexchange? yobit at least or maybe coinexchange?

I don't think you researched this coin at all lol. Let me explain a few things.

01 - When i can across this coin it was abandoned and in danger of being de-listed at nova exchange. There were no working nodes, so no one was able to mine or move the coin. I pm'ed the original dev to see if he/she had any intentions of continuing to develop this coin, and then I waited 2 weeks for a response in case the dev was on vacation, had taken ill, etc. I also contacted Nova and asked if they would hold off on the deslisting and I also pm'd every user in the thread to let them know what was happening, in case anyone had a problem.

YOU DID NONE OF THIS.

02 - Since I got no response from the dev and the users were ok with it, I took the coin over. I not only put a node up and stop it from being delisted, but I also got it put up on one of the best mining pool that I know of. as far as a new ann goes, i didn't see the need right now. I have other plans that quite frankly are none of your business.

And by the way, when I took this coin over in June of 2017, Nova was (and still is) a thriving exchange. they only recently announced that they were going to close temporarily while they change ownership, and that happens in April of next year. So an almost dead exchange, it ain't.

03 - Last but not least, I still can't figure out where people like you get off. There are literally 1000+ dead abandoned coins out there and many of them still have viable blockchains that could be put back in service for your swap very easily at the cost of a node, and the bagholders would be most grateful. Instead you pick a working coin with a working dev.

Not to mention having the audacity to tell me that you don't think i am doing enough for the coin. Well who the hell are you? If you passed by my house and didn't think my car was clean enough, would you take that too? Where do you get off telling anyone anything about anything?

You would have been better off starting the ATCC Revival thread. Now there's some people that could uses a swap.

Who are you to try and take this coin over and where are you having users send their real SKEL to? There are a lot of scammers out there who like to trick people into sending them their coins for something fake and this is what this seems like to me.

If you are keeping them for yourself that means that:

At Nova the current price is buy at 10 sats and sell at 20 sats so lets split the difference and say 15 sats.

So 5 million coins at 15 sats is .75 BTC which equals 5,571.07 USD

And this is a 100% POS coin that is not listed anywhere yet?

This coin needs a little more transparency I think.

One of my masternodes works great! The other two are enabled and started but recieve Absolutely nothing.. cant for my life figure out why. It's all Windows hot node configs..

it is running but  u need to enable on router/firewall.. I just set up my third and got rewards instantly after allowing port in firewall with my VPS service. My home PC just needed it allowed in router :)

I had the same issue. Seems to only occur if the wallet is already unlocked and you try to create a new address. With the wallet locked, it accepted my passphrase to create a new address.

Thats normal behaviour.
If two or more wallets are finding the same block at the same time, only one wallet can successfully mint the block,
the other wallets are getting the conflicted block transaction message.

This not normal! Other coins do not have this, and if it was already corrected!  ;)

All Proof of Stake coins behave the same way, so yes, it is normal. I stake multiple POS coins in multiple wallets and this happens time to time.

Wow, I literally spent a good amount of time reading all the pages in here and I must admit that it wasn't easy, especially people coming back forth stating this coin isn't dead and the other one says it was dead and this is why SKELR was created/coded. Have we come to common consense between SKEL and SKELR dev? The reason why I asking this is because this will hamper the future growth of this coin. People would get skeptical after reading all that is being said/written.

I am thinking on investing in this coin and see where it goes but before that, I need to understand the future of this project

As far as I know SKEL was abandond by its original dev and the community with the dev hesdeadjim took over the coin.

But since now only few things happenend and SKEL has no exchange (nova closed). But the SKEL chain and network seems still stable and working.

And I don't think there's a consens between the SKEL and SKELR dev.

But in fact, SKELR is tradeable on CoinsMarkets and SkeletonRevive dev said he had paid the yobit listing fee.

With a low supply of 17mill circulating coins and a still cheap masternode price is this a hidden gem, imo.

30 masternodes running right now and already over 5% coins locked in masternodes.

After rebooting the wallet does not sync anymore, it stays stuck on block 32153. Rebooting, restarting etc does not help. What can I do?

Go to your appdata/roaming/skeletonrevive folder and delete everything except your conf files and your wallet.dat . then restart. it will resync from the beginning.

Installing the wallet from scratch makes it not connect to sync and update anymore, it stays on zero connections. What is going on?

Are there any nodes that I can add to get at least one connection to be able to install the wallet?

Other people I have talked to have run into the exact same problem as well. After installing the wallet it stays on zero connections no matter what you do. Has this coin become dead?

to sum it up, he hijacked my coin, rebranded it as skel2, listed it at a crappy exchange, convinced all of you to give him skel to exchange for skel2 and then he took off.


i would be very surprised if he returned. maybe he is waiting for nova to open up so people can deposit and buy more skel to give him.

These are not traps dude. There are many useless coins floating around to pump and dump. Coins like Aragon are exceptions. Look at the team backing it. I have my coins for pumps & dumps, and for long term investment I chose coins with doing research and creditability of the founders.

You should also be realistic about your expectations. This is more like a fun coin I would say and probably not to make you a lot of money. Participants here may see that differently, but let's be real please...
