I decided to invest some money in altcoins in parallel with my bitcoin investments. So, what altcoins you think that are profitable and have a good worth in the future ? I talk about long term investment NOT trading

Yes, those who are on the top 10# or 5# of the coinmarketcap list are the most safest ones, but there are some who are fake ones, like bitconnect, maybe it's price is increasing so quickly, but once that the price of the company drops then it is going to have zero value, because it is an obviously ponzi scheme, you should try to be careful about this token because it is very risky to invest.
ethereum is one of the best, if you are going to go for long term, buy ethereums.

ethereum is best choice to saving long term because it have been famouse and use by platform, its mean ethereum will be use always in the future

when i have money i usually invest my money to some coin for example XRP, DOGE, OR RIPPLE,
 everything is so long there so no doubt to invest there

As others have said stick with reliable altcoins when first starting out, avoid ICOs completely unless your 100% certain it's the right decision. Most can be picked up afterwards for cheaper in majority of cases or worst case scenario slightly more when bounty holders dump.

Ethereum, waves are the best investment to choose of. Ethereum now is cheap so buy while you can. Invest and hold also can give us profit.

You can try to watch eidoo token and it seems to be a very best choice for the long-term investment because the eido team already planned various application on their platform. We don't know which altcoin soon rise up like bitcoin now, there are many to choose altcoin that profitable in future if you have enough capital to invest them then bought some of them and hold for a long term such as monero, wave, litecoin, dogecoin also nice neo and adex, but among of all the most i want to hold in long term is ethereum I know this kind of altcoin have a potential in the future. if in my opinion maybe my choice still falls on the bitcoin itself. because I think the price of altcoin will not exceed that of bitcoin. so all I do is I hold my bitcoin first and will let me off when the price is high.

I agree with you that the best way to invest for long term. Even if bitcoin keep pumping and some alt coins dumping they can still manage to keep up eventually with their value.

for now is the right time to buy Ethereum and Minexcoin because both coins sooner or later will rising. both coins have a good future in my opinion.

I am invested in nem, eth and waves. I think this three have bright future and will be as big if not bigger than bitcoin in the next 5 years. This three are long term investments and perfect time to buy this time because the price of bitcoin pushed the price of this three down.

I dont like putting too much bitcoin is high caps, I prefer investing in low caps with good development that havent been found out by the majority of people, but I own some Stratis.

I think OMG is good for invest. It price is low, they have vitalik buterin as advisor. I think that's good coin for invest.

I invest only in long term coin because this can give me huge profit without hard working. Only analysis, buy and waiting when coins price grow to 15% higher.

if you intend to invest some of your bitcoin into altcoin, you should do it when bitcoin is in peak price, Because altcoin that paired with bitcoin is definitely going down. Then, choose altcoin with the highest fluctuation of bitcoin, such as Ethereum, ETC, Dash, Ltc. for example, you buy ethereum at the price of 0.041btc, when the bitcoin price falls, and the ethereum rises, you can sell it at a higher price, and will increase the amount of bitcoin from before.

I have some LTC, ETH, DASH, XMR, ETC, BCN, DOGE, BCC, and EMC. All great teams, whitepapers, they are solving problems, and have potential. But still waiting for the great ALT movement to kick back in when BTC corrects itself after the fork and we are off to the moon.

According to me its a good idea to invest some into altcoins simultaneously.

Well, there are a lot of perspective coins and you have to choose among them. I would choose: Ethereum Classic, Stratis, Bitshares,Waves and Wings.

Currently, the best altcoins in the market are Ethereum, Bitcoin cash, and dash coin according to me. But still, ethereum will be the best option to invest in. Ethereum is said to have a good potential and increase in value in the near future. Many people have invested in Ethereum as long-term investments. So I would go with Ethereum.

i think the best ALT right now is PPT because Beta launch in this month and that January 2018 is go live, so it's going to get very big

yes,i agree with most of the people here,i guess if you want to invest altcoin,i prefer to ethereum, dash, monero,and litecoin. because the function and use of altcoin is obvious, and i think a lot of people who enter to invest there.i believe if the price of bitcoin is higher, the coins will also experience a high price increase compared to the current price.but if you want to invest for long term,i think doge is also good, because i see the price of doge has dropped dramatically. If you look at bitcoin prices so far, I think the doge will be able to go back up high again. the highest price of doge up to 190 satoshi, is now only 16 satoshi. I think doge is also a prospect altcoin.

although it is currently growing altcoin new and has a high value but for me to trust the Ethereum and LTC as the best altcoin I've ever known, and now the price of both is down I think it's a good time to buy it as an investment because I believe the coin has a rogress the good one.

Doge, Litecoin it's have slow movement on price, but if you hold then you over than 2 month maybe you can see how much you can do profit from that old coins.

In long-term, I think that ETH, Ripple, Bitcoin cash are good to invest. These are basic altcoins with big volume and market cap. This will help you easy to entry and exit

maybe for an option is DOGE, XRP, XLM, ETH, LTC. therefore some stable coins in the market for now

I would check out (i have an interest in) LTC, ETH, DASH, XMR, ETC, BCN, DOGE, BCC, and EMC. All great teams, whitepapers, they are solving problems, and have potential. But still waiting for the great ALT rocket to shoot back up post fork. We shall see, but it i'm pretty bullish on the ALT side and am looking forward to the up & up.

I think there are coins that are good enough to buy and save for a long time. there are waves, centra. iota, eth. depending on what you know. I personally keep the coins in my wallet.

Always buy stable coin but not stable price. You can buy ethereum, litecoin, dash, ripple, waves and so on. In your list, don't choice dead or inactive coin. You can analyze through online marketcap.

There are coins like siacoin etc which have huge potential in the future but initially you would be better off if you focus on the top 10

it seems that I'm not too sure if SiaCoin can reach the top 10 position, if seen from the development of this coin isn't too show significant progress even tends to decline, while to be able to compete in the top 10 is not easy to require popularity and public confidence in the SC to make investment inside it. seems to be more dominated by old coins in the top 10 such as Eth, ltc, dash, neo, zec, xmr, bcc, zen, wave, and altcoin etc. which have a chance to keep on increasing.
