If I have 10k to spare then I will definitely invent on bitcoin. But life needs to go on and most people will have a family to support. It can crashed but it can also recover so in case there would be one you just have to wait for it to do its work. However, it does not mean that we have to lost our mind over it...we have to use correct judgement in investing money or hard-earned assets into Bitcoin and always remember to also diversify your holdings when it is already appropriate to do so. Now,in case you still love to splurge on Bitcoin then since it is your money do whatever that can please you...who knows it would turn out to be one of the best decisions in your life. That is, BTC will be a place to hold wealth, while another currency (with an underlying system designed for lightening-fast transactions) will replace credit/debit cards for day-to-day transactions. We're only just now moving into the Early Adopter phase, so, there's tons of room for growth. It’s going to take a while for it to really catch on and of course the value will increase when it does. But I also think there are a lot of altcoins that are going to go mainstream as well. I think there is definitely room for several altcoins in this market because so many are being developed with specific purposes. Now that you want to buy bitcoin at a price of 7000 USD, probable gain will be at 300% conservatively but it is still not bad. You can work on bounty campaigns or invest btc or altcoins and start trading in the market, if you are wealthy enough and have huge amount of capital then you can build your own mining rig and earn coins passively. In my opinion, smart people don't do that thing because they do analyze what is the best suitable way to do investment. I believe that what you should invest is the money allocated that you are willing to loose anytime, I mean only the spare money your have and not the entire fortune. The way I understand your action, for me it is already gambling but considering it is considered for bitcoin investment, there is a possibility that you will be successful and just consider also that bitcoin has its ups and downs. Anyway, I respect your decision and I can't blame you on that. I do also believe in bitcoin and that is why I am here in this forum actively participating. Title: Re: Smart people have bought a bitcoin Post by: hammerhart on April 22, 2018, 07:41:54 PM well i remeber a friend told me about biitcoin when it was like 30$...i thought of spending like 100$ but it seemed complicated to do and honestly it felt like buying an expensive lotttery ticket^^...so of course looking back now i feel stupid not spending more time and investing...today , with a salary, i would probably go for it..but thinking about that time i probably would not have spend more than 100-200$...just because it seemed so far fetched;) so not regretting too much...although of course even this 3btc would have been a nice car...

Wouldn't put all my money into it as it's still a risky investment compared to assets such as land and gold. They may not have quick high rates of return but they are definitely much more secure. It is true that with the current price of bitcoin and the potential for growth it still has, BTC invests seem a safe bet with a high potential yield, but the evidence shows that the really successful long-term traders tend to be more cautious in their decisions, and are not willing to put all their eggs in one basket. I admit that I still do not fully understand all the technological subtleties, but in any case I now understand this more than 99% of those who with aplomb chatter about this in newspapers and on TV.
