Hello, I did a mistake during the high pump of bitcoin cash few days ago and I bought bitcoin cash for 1800$. Since I'm blocked on it because I don't want to do a loss by selling under 1800$...
My initial plan was to invest in differents altcoins... I think it is a good example of emotional trade  :'(.

Do you think it's a better idea to go out now or in few days when there will be a little pump OR to hold Bitcoin cash for a long period and forget my invest in others altcoins for the moment ?

This will be a hard decission actually. The reason is that you cannot guess what those bch pumpers will do next days. Remember it was only around $300-600 in the past days.

It's stressful, but you need to make research about bitcoincash.

While I don't disagree with the purpose of each coin (bitcoin and bitcoin cash) -- And that buying into Bitcoin Cash in the first place is bad for the crypto community -- I don't think holding until the next pump is "greedy". I would call it common sense.

If I were you, I wouldn't touch the bitcoin cash until you can sell it for no loss or a profit. If you sell for a substantial loss, then you are doing yourself an injustice.

I hate Bitcoin Cash as much as the next Bitcoin supporter, but if I was in your position, I wouldn't even consider selling now for a loss or investing in something else with that initial loss. I also wouldn't consider myself "greedy" for holding until I got a profit.

Well it's good that you noticed your mistake at least and hopefully in future you can learn from it. Right now I'm not really sure where the price is going, I feel like its at its mid point and it could go either way from here. Probably I'd sell but it's always harder to sell at a loss even if it's the right call.

It's up to you if you want to sell your bitcoincash or if you want to hold it for few years. Bitcoincash is potentisl coin because this part of the bitcoin. But I think many people again buy bitcoin so the price decrease . But it's better to have alsp bitcoincash incase the price increase more.

Well, I do understand that a lot of people got into BCash because of lies and propaganda.
So it's fine if those people go ahead and dump their BCash once Roger and Jihad try to pump it again.

Ouch, that's terrible. Sorry you experienced that. Rule #1: Never chase a pump, particularly one that has already increased 3x in price. Anything that rises as fast as Bcash did is bound to form an Eiffel tower crash formation and bleed out for a long period of time, as all the bagholders from the pump sell into any price rise.


I hate to give trade/investment advice. What I would say is this: you need to be able to cut losses to survive as a trader. You already know this is a losing trade. When do you cut it? 33% loss? 50% loss? 80% loss? That's up to you. It's very important to preserve your capital to fight another day.

It's possible that there is a pump coming, but in the short term, the chart looks bearish to me. And there is also bearish fundamental news: Bitmex will be liquidating all customer BCH and dumping it on the market for BTC. Coinbase is also releasing customer BCH within a couple months. That's a lot of supply entering the market.

Yes, I agree, him buying into Bitcoin Cash (especially at that price) was a silly/uninformed/perhaps greedy or immoral/etc move.

BUT, he has realized he made a mistake with his purchase of Bitcoin Cash. He would be making a MUCH BIGGER mistake to sell his Bicoin Cash at a substantial loss, rather than sitting on it until the next pump. I made a huge mistake too when i wanted to make some profit from that pump/dump situation, i bought some bitcoincash and i earned more than 0.07 at that time, but then i suddenly bought some at 0.24 each one and i wa s not able to sell them at more than that price anymore, so i sold them at 0.22 each bcash and i lost more than 0.08 from that scenario.
I read a thread of someone who bought those coins at $2400 each one because they thought that it was going to be the new bitcoin, he was much more crazy than you, and he obviously lost a lot of money because of that situation.

You've got trapped by roger shill. You bought bitcoin cash at the peak. You can go out but you must remember to minimize or decrease your loss. Wait a little bit until the price of the bitcoin cash will touch almost $1800. It seems to be a very good way.

At the moment Bitcoin Cash is at 1200$. I would wait until it moves to 1500$. Then put it in a coin like LISK until the rebrand or Waves until Waves NG update happened and move again to Bitcoin. Only my suggestion if I were at your situation..

BCH is only temporary pump. And many speculate it will replace the BTC. This is impossible. You can stop with BCH when you get 0.07 BTC. Sadly you did not do that. Trade is not easy.

I personally see that bch is not a good coin to invest, it is a big mistake to buy bch without pating attention to the situation and some of my friends also get stucked with buying bch with a very high price, my suggestion is just sell the bch and continue to other coin, alt coin pump is only temporary and you need a long time for whale initiate another pump

It's up to you if you want to hold your bitcoincash or you sell it. Because as of now the price of bitcoin continue to increase and the price of bitcoincash decreasing. But it's better if you hold bitcoincash because for sure it will increase again more in the future. Be careful of what decisiom you made because you lose some profit if you sell your bitcoincash .

Thank you all for your response and advice, I'm going to hold for now because the loss is high and I will sell it for a minimal loss (if possible :/). When I beginning to invest in cryptocurrencies (1 month ago) I was thinking to be immune about financial emotional decisions, I learned a lot with this error. And I don't believe in Bitcoin cash and it was totally a greedy investment instead of support a real project, that's the second mistake I'm not going to reproduce.

If you're a trader and managed the fork fluctuations right, then you could have made a big profit from the cancelation, BCH appreciated by a lot, at some point becoming the second most valued crypto coin (about thirty billion), but after that it went straight down, shorting that would have made you as much money as it made you when you went long on the position. I'm not a big fan of bitcoin cash and wouldn't buy it at the first place, but if you did buy it and are looking for a place to put back those funds, then get back to BTC or some other altcoins. Considering that forks are incoming, I think ultimately the value of Bitcoin cash will go down again and expectations should therefore be balanced.

I think it will dump for the next few months if the segwit2x is not implemented. But if it is implemented the price will go up, it will be up . As my self I think I do daily trade because at first I dont know the capabilities of this coin because it really up because of the hard fork and makes its price goes higher so just to make profit with it daily

I'm not so sure about that. It has now made new lows around $1000, and it does not look like a "double bottom" to me. There have been no bounces on the way down from the $1200s, so it seems very likely to drop further.

Given how fast it went up, it's better to stay away from it for a while. There is a lot of supply built up from bagholders who bought into the pump. There are horizontal support levels in the $800s and $600s. I might be interested in buying those levels for a swing trade, depending how the chart looks.

Why sell? Just HODL it or not... When you don't think that this is a good thing than you can sell it but nobody knows it exactly it is your decision so maybe don't sell all when selling  8)

It's a bad idea to buy BCH in the first place. Buying shitcoin in a pump make it even worst. The price is currently at $1000. If you sell now you lose about 45%. That is huge, but it could go bigger if Bitcoin Cash goes even lower. I don't see any future for Bitcoin Cash. Does anyone have idea what are they planning for the future? I mean since they don't implement Segwit they couldn't add something like Lightning Network too, right?

I'd say wait for another movement, if it goes lower, sell immediately.

Bitcoin cash has very little future. My reason for thinking so is that there is a consortium behind bitcoin and soon they will be declaring the alternate to segwit2x. Once they come out with what the next step is.. That will take BCH back to $5-600 level. i would advise anyone in it... whether u r in a profit or loss. GET OUT NOW BEFORE U LOOSE MORE.

For sure now you are now happy brcause the price is 2000 dollars plus and you will not lose any capital that you bought from the bitcoin cash if you hold your bitcoincash until now. I'm not agree BCH are having good future. I know many exchanges supporting this and BCH available to be mined also. But this coins are having bad history when doing pumping conflict to Bitcoin few months ago and failed. Someday, when Bitcoin going rocket to moon, this coins will fall dip.

I think your right, because as per checked bitcoin cash value now are in increasing trends. I guess BCH price are more increase this 2018, so it's better to hold it because this coin are for long period of time investment. I'm looking forward to the good price of this coin in the future. I'm holding 2 Bitcoin Cash coins so even though the value is less than my other coins but holding is worth it and probably after a year or by the end of the year it will be priced triple from the current value.

Yes, actually Bitcoin Cash is the real long-term investment because it is one of the most valued Cryptocurrency in market capital and also in coin price.
I want to hold still my 2 coins even though price will spike again.

I would not hold bitcoin cash, but trading it is not a bad idea. Some news make the effect on bitcoin cash and makes it pumped and dumped, this helps making profit. On the other hand I do not think holding and expecting good thing from it makes sense. Unlike Roger Ver said, we will use litecoin or monero for payment issues instead of Bitcoin Cash.

I advise you to proceed with your plan to invest in other altcoins. As for BCH you should wait for the price to rise again if you really want to sell it without any losses. With you investing in another altcoins and you keep holding BCH then you will get 2 benefits in the future.

There are a lot of people here saying you shouldn't hold Bitcoin Cash, but if you would've held it you would've made profit by now. I've been holding it for almost 2 months now, and I'm close to 400% growth. I will sell it soon though, but holding Bitcoin cash is definitly not a bad decision.

For me bitcoin cash will be just going up in this year with some little down so holding this coin for some more time will be good decision.

I would not hold BCH. They may have a dev plan but so do most alts, but there are a lot of promising projects for the 20% I'd be comfortable with holding in altcoins and unfortunately BCH doesn't make the cut for me.

I realize it has faster transaction confirms, so it can serve as an intermediate coin to get your money from point A to B and exchange it for something else. But LTC serves that use case better due to more exchange availability and  even faster block times.

Bitcoin casg itself includes the second most expensive coin after bitcoin. not surprised because BCH is part of bitcoin. I think BCH will follow the future of bitcoin. when bitcoin prices go up I think the price of bitcoin cash will also boost up. so I do not think it's a problem to hold bitcoin cash as an investment option other than bitcoin. for now looking at the BCH and bitcoin prices are still in poor condition maybe it's better to hold back..

I have found that BCC is receiving great support from investors who do not like Bitcoin. BCC has always been a stable and profitable asset to investors since it was officially traded. This is a good time for the market, I think you should keep the BCC at least until the end of 2018 and you will get good results.

I had bitcoin cash back in time for like 1 cash or something. I never believed their project and dumped it around $1000. I still don't regret. Its just quick profit scheme in my eyes.

I don’t usually talk about Bitcoin as I like to invest and focus on altcoins, however I wanted to go over this now because altcoins are tied directly to Bitcoin. Usually, when Bitcoin rises and goes on a decent bull run altcoins will fall and vice versa. Even though I don’t talk about Bitcoin much I do watch it on a daily basis to better forecast money flowing back into altcoins or into Bitcoin. The Bitcoin hard fork has affected the market drastically. Watching Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash fight it out would be slightly amusing (if so much money wasn’t involved). This proves that a lot of the market is based on emotional response and not necessarily fundamentals. Ethereum and Litecoin are far better than Bitcoin Cash. BCH has “borrowed” the Bitcoin name and the man behind it, Roger Ver, is pushing Bitcoin Cash hard as “the” Bitcoin. I wanted to go through this a little because I believe that Bitcoin Cash is being manipulated at the moment. While Bitcoin Cash does offer a little value but it is doing so well by borrowing the Bitcoin brand name.



On a side note, Bitcoin is getting a ton of press and attention from people that have never even heard of it because of ICOs, SEC scrutiny, Jamie Dimon (CEO of JP Morgan Chase) and from the interest of traditional investment firms announcing futures trading based on Bitcoin. Also, a very popular show called The Big Bang Theory will be dedicating an entire episode to cryptocurrency called The Bitcoin Entanglement which will air on November 30th. 14 million people watch that show. The IRS and the SEC are looking into cryptocurrencies closer and is starting to figure out how to regulate ICOs and how to tax cryptocurrency investing. Just something to keep in mind.


From an objective point of view let’s look at what BCH actually does offer. To be 100% clear, I am not promoting one or the other. Personally, I have moved everything into alts until the Bitcoin showdown is over. One thing to think about is the majority of the volume going into BCH is coming from Korea. That means that most are not selling off their BTC to get into BCH. A lot of the BTC drop, I believe, comes from those that had gambled on BTC going up with margin accounts now are cashing out to cover their borrowed money. BTC sell off is also coming from those that have taken a profit believing that BTC is at a short term all time high. There is a lot of uncertainty with the BTC hard fork, BCH buyers and manipulation to make it look like it is taking over BCH. Enough of that, let’s get started:

Bitcoin Cash offers a block size of 8MB, while Bitcoin has a block size of 1MB. BCH speeds up and decreases fees of transactions. This is actually a major deal.

Bitcoin Cash offers replay and wipeout protection which will protect investors from losing their coins during forks.

Bitcoin has the original brand.

Bitcoin has a very large, loyal community. Most Bitcoin maximalist will stay with the original and support it being updated for scalability.

What I am doing is waiting, watching to see what happens regarding the Segwit2x hard fork and Bitcoin Cash. My main trading activity will be focused on altcoins and not in Bitcoin. I am not a financial advisor so please do your own research. Wait, Watch, Fight…. CryptoDayTrader out!

BCH is doing much better than I thought it ever would.  I think there will be only one bitcoin winner, and it'll be BTC, but that doesn't mean that BCH won't go up from here.

Honestly, as someone who has been involved in the space a while, I say sell. I rarely say this as well. But it really seems to be overpriced at the moment from the chart analysis I have done. I think it will go up in due time but I think it will drop drastically once it is able to be sold and traded across all exchanges. Currently a lot of folks are unable to sell their bitcoin cash.

But it's depend on you.

If I think the core of the treding itself is to analyze the coins we use, if the price is down, the best thing is we have patience, the more patience and wait until up, just how our hearts, wobbly or not, the second alternative is to immediately sell kointsebut , and switch with promising coins, for that decision is on yourself, which one you will choose

Their price in market was dropping down, I guess it is depends to the owners if they can sell it or not. But for me in my own opinion it's better to sell it before it's too late. As I can see this fall down of bitcoin price will continue for long period of time, so instead of losing value it is good if we sell it immediately then invest to the other coins of crypto currency.

I think that the best solution is to keep bitcoin at home and not to sell, I think it's just that the price will increase in the near future

This is a very interesting coin for speculation. If you have experience in trading then you probably understand what I'm talking about. The volatility of BCH is very strong and it is more interesting to trade this coin than to hold it for a long time.

I would suggest you to sell BCH without loosing your capital and try to invest it in some good alt-coins.

BCH being a fork out from BTC, (there might be some pumpers somewhere out there), despite that, it has a possibility of surviving for a long term, cause it's backers are much and strong.

I will say that the deed has been done already, since you're already in the market. The only thing I would advise that you do, is to hold until you make profit (no matter how little it may be) from the bitcoin cash. After which you can opt-out and invest in other alts of your choice.

I sold all the bitcoin cashleri I had months ago. There are much better coins to invest. Bitcoin Cash is not a good coin to invest.

I would hold on for a bit there is a chance BCH will go above 1700 today the 22nd was the day to be selling @2,033.70 if the bull have there way today they will hold of the dip till it reaches 1750.

If you don't need the money right now, I'd suggest to wait for few days. But still the price of bitcoin may change a lot due to some unexpected news, so it's a risk as well. However, you can trade your BTC for some other altcoins or invest in some ICO.

Well in the past few days of 2018 I dont heard a lot new about bitcoin cash. I think is some how quite because there are other altcoin that are pumping in the market. Or maybe because the value of bitcoin is at low.
That's why same with his advise its better if you hold it a little bit longer to see if there is an improvement in price. And if there is no. Then go and sell it.

I would exchange that into bitcoin as holding bitcoincash might be very very risky. Exchanges are starting implementation of segwit which will make bitcoin transactions a little bit faster and cheaper, this move by exchanges can decrease value of bitcoin cash not to mention lightening network.

The basic lesson to buy, collect, store, invest, and sell cryptocurrency is to do research, and know which cryptocurrency you want to use. It actually depends also on the cryptocurrency you choose. For holders of this coins it's good to hold it for a long time because it pumps way too high that it even reach $4k but now it's down on $1.6k, i would say this coin has been very volatile and i suggest for people interested on it to stay away since the price really don't show much of its demand. Features would be high potential for another $10k worth crypto but very risky compared to most alts out there.

I do not hold this coin for long-term investment. I use BCC only for day trades. This coin is very volatile and very much dependent on Roger.

They used to be bitcoin only, but announced in November that they'd be enabling BCH and Zcash because of the bitcoin fee issue.

BCH is kind of a wild card, it can go to 500$ just as easily as it can go to 5k$(stealing or giving leeway towards BTC price/marketcap). It will entirely depends on whether on not lightning network is a success for the core team (and if its done sooner than later) and whether or not BCH has to offer a tangible advantage to people other than them infinitely increasing the block size over and over again as their sole innovation.

I personally sold all my bitcoin cash because I never believed it. I think it will never reach bitcoin's success. Its just staying as another fake imitation of original bitcoin. Speed doesn't matter when you cannot build trust.

Bitcoin Cash there are all prerequisites for active growth. In the future it will be possible to obtain good dividends. This cryptocurrency has great potential.

I would not hold bitcoin cash, but trading it is not a bad idea. It is very popular and impulse growth is possible.

I don't like BCH by default, like I don't like Ripple and the idea behind those two coins.

But seems it's interesting to hold both for pure speculations and trades. So I bought BCH and Ripple in past 2 months to play with.
