You can sell a half and you can hold and half of it you can hold

Buy, if you have extra money lying around somewhere. Others have already said this and i'll say it here as a reminder, it's never too late to buy bitcoins. An article (https://www.coindesk.com/survey-plurality-of-bitcoin-users-think-it-can-change-world/) on Coindesk yesterday mentioned the survey results that was carried out by lendedu. The people (bitcoin investors) they asked wanted to sell their bitcoin for $196k. Crazy price to look forward in the next few years.

Yes, even I am suggesting my friend to buy the Bitcoin when it dips in the market. Many experts have involved in this Bitcoin that's why the price of Bitcoin is soring in the market. The thing we have to do wait patiently when your turn comes.

I will start selling my bitcoin if bitcoin will get well over $8000, have already set my buy orders at $8500 to $9000. I think price will atleast touch $9k within current surge before getting another round of correction.

Its quite hard to  predict exact sell point/peak point but setting sell order at different price levels can save you from loss significant amount when price is swinging like crazy.

Just hold your bitcoin little longer because there is a fork coming up so you will receive free coins for your bitcoin amount,and i hope the price will bump due to that fork so better keep it until the price reaches $ 10K may be it will reach at the end of december.

For me personally, I do not sell my bitcoin. However I do take out money for pressing need from time to time from bitcoin. The price discovery of bitcoin is not going to stop anytime soon. So brace yourself for more bitcoin advancement!

I would say wait until it is 10K, lol. But seriously, keep a good eye on the market, and whenever you see a decrease buy it. If you are gonna hold it for a couple of months at least, it does not really matter if it is too expensive now.

For me I will sell some part of my bitcoin since at that point I must have gain more than double of my investment in bitcoin. Although, there is a tendency that bitcoin value may exceed $9000 before March next year and with that believe, I will still hold some of my coins and work heard to make more.

develop your own strategy do some research understand the market,which is heavy on speculation, research behaviour of markets, this isn't a game to trust anyone , it can spread like a disease. If everyone tells you to sell people will follow suit c and that if a strong enough following can manipulate the market. Look at what's going on, understand the basics of long and margin trading this is the only thing that will make you profitable trust your research trust your judgement don't make guesses,don't trust anyone do some research trust the facts.

if i will not sell it and if have money i will buy or add bitcoin again. Better to buy than to sell it because the possibility of bitcoin will rise again, if you are not sure of your choice or you need money, you should sell half and the other better you save. should always monitor the increase or decrease in market prices.

Hold, believe it or not bitcoin can still increase,unless you didn't want to take the risk and you believe its enough now to sell it since you earn already, but as ych as possiblehold and buy more when it drops.

That entirely depends on your risk taking capability and your need of funds. If you need some urgent fund then I will suggest you to take out only what you need and keep the rest amount in your vault storage for future use. Bitcoin price at 8k USD is nothing, it's just the tip of the iceberg. We have already 3 announcements about bitcoin adoptions this month. CME group, Man Group and Square payment systems, so a lot depends on their business success. If they are successful in their bitcoin ventures, a lot of other companies will come up with huge funds to adopt bitcoin for their real-world business. If this happens, 8k USD is simply nothing. My suggestion would be HODL.

i think it's time to buy and hold., it would be better if we hold on altcoin ,, because i am sure that altcoin will be at pump in december .. because it's been too long for us to wait for altcoin pumped .. ETH and dogecoin is best option to do hold altcoin .. because during this time ETH and dogecoin just spin at a fixed price

if you have some bitcoins, then i would definetely sell some, i am waiting for next week for dumping some of my coins, i really want to have some money on fiat, so i decided to dump some part of my bitcoins in order to be able to have some cash money.
But yes, it is still a good time for buying bitcoins, i dont see anything wrong with just keep buying more, the price will always increase and there is nothing wrong with that.
Just buy as much as you can, maybe one day you will wake up and bitcoin would be over $10k, who knows, a lot of things can happen with bitcoin.

Really depends on your situation. If you needed money then you have no choice but to really dump your coins and exchange it to fiat. However, if you have no need for your bitcoin then just hodl on it. There's nothing more gratifying than seeing the price of bitcoin going up and your money growing. And if you are thinking of selling at a certain price, then just don't do a full dump on your coins but just sell some of it and buy in dips. Personally, I always sell my coins because I have a offline business and I uses my bitcoin earning for more additional cashflow. But I only sell at a premium price though. I'm not selling in dips and don't do panic selling as well.

if you can hold it for a months why not keeping it ?
from our point of view Bitcoin will make another move or we could say it that Bitcoin already made its move.

Bitcoin keep moving upward,what will happen if you sell it right now and then Bitcoin price hit $10.000 in the next day ?
does that mean you're missing the train ? you're missing $2000 in a few day if you hold 1BTC.
it would be better for you to hold it for a while because right now we're in the bullrun.

If you have a lot of bitcoins, example 10 bitcoins you can sell half of it just for taking the profit and use that profit as your fund. Wait for a small dip and you have to monitor it all the time.

Assuming that bitcoin went at $8,000 and you had sold 5 bitcoins, wait for it to become lower at $7,900 - $7,600 and do a short time trading.

By doing this type of strategy, you have the profit and you have your 5 bitcoins back completely. And you can also do this with small bitcoin you hold, settle down the word risk upon doing this.

Now i'm see bitcoin price is $7863 USD so we hope it will be hit $10000 in this year . Now everybody must hold you bitcoin for a tinny days and you can see it will be a boom. we already buy bitcoin around $10000 so we sell when it will reach $10000 but it bitcoin price dump again we buy .

Its gonna be a tough question and its a mental barrier for most trader. I have been seeing this kind of trend already, $7000, $7500 and now $8000. For me, if I think I made enough profits then I will definitely push the sell button and just buy it back when their is a dip. I'm thinking that we may soon a price correction specially this coming weekends where most of the trader sell their coins. Let's see how it goes.

Bitcoin price reaching 8000$ is so WOW. It exceeds to the last highest price before the bitcoins drop. I know it is going to happen. But even though the price is high, I do not think about selling my bitcoin nor convert it nor buy some of it. I will make more way to be able to earn bitcoin.
I will not convert my bitcoin into fiat because I still do not need money and I am still hoping for the increase of price of bitcion. I am waiting for the 10,000$ prediction by some other bitcoiners. Maybe by that price I can convert some of my bitcoin into fiat and have a christmas shopping.

I get a mail from coinbase they said disable bitcoin transaction for bitcoin fork segwit2x.So as result bitcoin price increased  7800$+ now.So wait bitcoin will be 10000$ soon.I think now you can not buy or sell bitcoin.When fork ended you can buy bitcoin and hold for long time.

What is expect movement in BTC prize? Not predictable, i think as for me i will sell...

If you do make short trades then $8000 would be the sweet spot to sell on your stuff but if you are a long time holder then just hold off your coins because price might still shoot up on next years to come.For now in my current situation since im a active day trader i did sell on those points since i set a sell order on those price ranges which i do really make profits and i do set buy order on $7100 price because i do see the support as of now when drawing up technical analysis.

Cryptocurrency investments are growing exponentially and the demand for Bitcoin is huge. It is currently the crypto with the highest demand, there's no better investment than bitcoin at the moment, in my opinion. This price may look high because it's a peak, but it's still a very good price to buy.

If you are a risk taker hold your bitcoins a little longer otherwise sell 50%.

Certainly, There are many good news for it, Man Group fund with invest in Bitcoin future contract of CME group, Square payment app will accept Bitcoin, Coinbase Custody is released by Coinbase exchange..... They will encourage Bitcoin price.

YOU or everyone. You can invest your bitcoin at all the time bitcoin, you can expect the profit for sure in the future. You guys find the dump sometime in the chart but that will be also recovered in some days.

Are you a trader? Buy low, sell high then you should know when to sell or buy in. If not, just hodl.

If i were you, i will simply hodl it after bitcoin reached $10,000. We know if bitcoin has potential to achieve that goal in the end/next year.
Many people were doubt if bitcoin can reach $8000, but you can see now, we all are above that!

This is what I'd do personally:

If I'd sell, I need to have at least 30% profit first before bailing out. Would be buying back in if the price turns out to lose more than 10% without any possible rebounds soon. It would give me some profits and a comfortable position to enter again. However if the market seems to be overall bullish, I'd sell 30% of current holdings and keep the rest and see what would happen first before making a move.

I think that bitcoin will growth permanently because it's some kind of crypto gold. Other coins will rise in price, but no one will bring down bitcoin

For me holding is real and we all witness that so I'm gonna hold my bitcoin until it reaches $10000.
And even you buy now you can still make profit out of it but of course it's better when you can buy much more cheaper but seeing the graph we're done in dumped and bitcoin taking its uptrend position so don't waste any time now.

For me, as I saw in the graph of bitcoin in coinmarketcap it will really increased from the start until now and there are also many professional traders says that it will reach $10k, so I think its worth to buy and hold it for a long time to gain huge profits more than the expectation.

I would still hold at this point unless you are satisfied with your profits. I don’t see any reason why there would be a drop right now unless there is a problem with an exchange or some government regulation that would add uncertainty to Bitcoin in the minds of investors.

There is potential for bigger gains if we stick it out. There’s always potential for a correction but we just broke out of one so I don’t think that’s going to happen for a while.

just keep HODL sir. bitcoin is not yet in full potential, you can see 10k $ before year 2010. I already have 20% from my investment that i buy last nov, 15 when bitcoin price is below 6k$ . If bitcoin will pump to 10k this year im going to sell all my btc, if not i will just hold my btc and buy more if btc dump again

With much good news from the market, Many investors have shifted Bitcoin from Bitcoin cash. Bitcoin value is not negative

I invested in some altcoins and kept the rest of my bitcoin for long term, I don't look on the short term, thus I won't lose, because I believe bitcoin will go over $10k some day next year.

Bitcoin is popular now and 8000$ is not the limit to this crypto. The demand is big, but it is going to become huge in sooner time. So, if you have not enough patience to wait for some more - cash it out. But I swear, you are going to regret of your decision and impatience.

Yeah your right, but for security it's better if we sell now bitcoin. Then when bitcoin value goes down again in the market then buy again bitcoin. That's the right way of controlling bitcoin amount in your wallet. It is a simple trading that gives you a sure income in the future.

It is up to the person own judgement because 8000 is a good amount I think we should sell the 70% of our bitcoin at this rate because no one can predict future may in the future the prices are not so much higher than the price at 8000. Keep buying. Keep buying until $100k BTC, even a million, because it's going to be worth billions and trillions once it accounts for all the current debt that exists today when it is the new reserve currency of the world. You can sell a tiny amount after several years but that is it because there is potential for a lot more in the price of BTC so just stay patient my friend.

I still have patience for the price was above $10k, I think the increase is not possible only until $8k after prices fall to $6700. It will continue to soar over $8k. But if you don't have patience, better sell half and wait for the price down a bit then buy again. but I think we should hold until the end of the year, I'm sure there will be surprises at the end of the year.

I was happy see bitcoin breaking  $8000 this afternoon and I think this is a new beginning of new things in bitcoin's bullish trend. I am also speculating that before end of this month we may see bitcoin price above  $10,000. However, this is a sign that hardfork or splitting is the reason why bitcoin keep going up but the major reason why we are having this long term bullish trend is acceptability and adoption by general public.

You should buy bitcoins with each extra penny you got as it is predicted that bitcoin will touch 10k$ by the end of this year. And it can reach upto 100k$ after few years when all the bitcoins will get mined. So keep looking for best you can.

Buy bitcoin right now as soon as possible in order for you to get profit in the next few years. Because we never know wjat could be the price of a bitcoin in the next year. For all we know is that it will boom, always.

my view of this.
if i have one bitcoin i will hold my bitcoin. but, besides that I will buy another new bitcoin.
I will keep all my bitcoins, until there is a very favorable point for me to resell them.
of course with me saving all my bitcoin, i hope there will always be a favorable thing for me.

Well according to the rule, I would say that selling will be a good option because Bitcoin is potentially going towards $10 k and this is literally the best time to sell and get amazing profits. Other than that i would say Bitcoin can be bought at any time because even if you buy and hold you will get profit. So, dealing with Bitcoin can never give someone loss until bought and sold at proper time.

Bitcoin system is a different from currency system and it's digital one and all are online transaction process and this rate was very high and increased day by day today rate was $7982 touch arround $10000 reach in this month end and the buy and sell process are called trading .You can sell at this price.

Times play a major role in loss and Profit in trading. If you sell at wrong time with panic means,it's a loss for you.If the price of bitcoin is High and you brought at that time means, it's also a loss for you.8000$ is the right time to sell your holding bitcoin and Not to buy a Bitcoin.

Buy and Hold 3 yrs +!

There is not a size all fit all kind of answer, if you are willing to hold for years then buying is a good idea even at that high price, but if you want to hold for only some months then the best thing is to wait for the price to get lower and buy at the dips, and if you are already holding some bitcoin then it may be a good idea to sell a small amount and hold the rest.

i will sell 1/3 and keep 2/3 amount of my bitcoin. it is depend on how work of price at that time. cryptocurrency is not an easy market to play around. you need a clear and sensitive mind to make any decision.

The $ 8000 level is very critical for BTC, because the price has been pulled down 2-3 times with huge sales, I think everyone sees the $ 8000 level as the peak. I have the same opinion.

At this time, the line of $8,000 has become a very important resistance level. if you are not greedy sell some and rebuy a little lower. If you are not two greedy ATH usually lead to some correction and you have the opportunity to re-enter.

This is the time when we should not be carried away by thoughts of other people i don't think $8000 is peak because whenever there is a pump and some drop in value we can see similar topics like that particular value is peak and all but this is not the case if you can do a case study you will understand it keeps increasing but this is just my suggestion and you are the one who are entitled to make your decisions. 

It's your choice if you buy bitcoin or you sell bitcoin because as of now the price of bitcoin is 7700 dollars the price last fee hours ago is near at 8k dollars. And I believe the price will increase more and possible price of bitcoin before end of this year is 10k dollars. So if you have extra money right now invest that in bitcoin and for sure you will earn some profit in month of december 2017.

My opinion about this you still Holding. Keep holding your bitcoin because it comes to reach approximately $10,000 before plan to sell. Remember bitcoin has a great potential upon all coins So, better hold it than you will regret after bitcoin reach $10,000

Hold this one! I have a strong feeling that it will reach as high as $12k. Its really worth a wait, but if you really need cash you sell now but I advise not to sell it all maybe 25% of what you hold or sell based on how much you need by this time.

Same question was being asked when the price hits $1,000 , $2,000 , $3000 and so on... that is the time when this price levels are considered "high". Now that it way more become higher, are we going to still have a doubt if we want to enter or not?

If a person really wants to enter bitcoin investment, they must accept that they have to deal with the current price at any cost. Yes they should have guts to throw away money and see what will be the output thereafter.

To make it short, if you really need to convert then dump. If you eye for long term and wants to add more to your hold coins, they buy. Up to you to decide.

If I see that price in coming days then it without thinking much I will sell half of my bitcoins to earn best profits on my investments as I have bought bitcoins at very low price last and $8k is my target price to sell my bitcoins but I will not sell all my bitcoins and will save half of them in my wallet for future profits as if price can reach $8k then anything is possible with the price of bitcoins in near future.

Buying and selling bitcoin is an option that choose by the owner. The decision is always made by the owner there's no wrong regarding buying and selling. But for now it's better to sell because price of bitcoin now in the market is almost reach $8000 and I feel that it was fall down sooner or later.

If you have been holding you Bitcoin for a long time, I think it might be a good idea to sell it at around 8000 USD, since you already had profited with a high capital growth, however if you just bought you Bitcoin just within the last few months, for me the gain is not yet that high, but it will be up to your needs. There is a reason why we invest in Bitcoin and that is to have a comfortable life, if you think cashing in your Bitcoin at 8000 USD will give you so, then do it, but if you are not yet going to use the money keep holding on to your Bitcoin and watch the price go up, since we can never tell if the value of Bitcoin at the end of the year will be at 8000 usd or more.

Indeed. If it's for emergency purposes then sell only half of it. Just hold the half and wait for the right time as he said the price of the bitcoin will not going to stop. But if you have enough money, then buy more then.

Buy and collect only Bitcoin as much as possible. You just sell when you need money and never sell just because the price is going down. The rise and fall of the price of a cryptocurrency is natural and we need not to be afraid.

For myself, I will always collect Bitcoin whatever happens. I will not sell until the next few years and I'll sell when I've got a lot of profit. I plan to wait until the amount of my money and the Bitcoin price has reached a sufficient number to buy a house. I want to use my Bitcoin to buy a house, business capital, and to buy a gaming computer. I have a plan to make Ethereum mining. I also want to manage my website and other online work.

If you already has a big profit on bitcoin well i think it's much better for you to sell some of your btc just to be sure you'll earn money so even when the value of bitcoin suddenly goes down atleast you already has a big profit from it, cause it's a little bit scary since bitcoin price just keep increasing until now that's it's value is too high so just to be sure sell some of it and hold maybe half of it.

Yeah true It's dropped  to 7550$ at the moment, but I'd wait as selling has this snowball effect and when people from all around the world wake up they might sell and you could score yourself some cheap Bitcoin  :D

People have considered the $5000 level to be the peak, the $6000 level, $7000, and now $8000. Market analysis doesn't make much sense anymore, since the price demolishes each and every peak prediction effortlessly. There is far too much global demand to allow this market to sink for longer periods of time, that should be clear by now -- every dump gets bought up in a very quick fashion, and that repeatedly. At this point it's safe to say that holding is the best way to go, or if you're up for some action, trading the volatility might turn out to be a profitable practice too. For me personally trading in a market that's more unpredictable than ever before, comes with too much risk, so I'll stick to holding for now.

Why not buy? You never know how high the price could rise up to. Some people think it will go above $20,000 before it crashes. You need to buy and hold Bitcoin if you want to be sure that you get in before it goes above $20,000 or more. Think about it, even if it crashes it will still go above $8,000 again anyways even if it takes a few years.

I would've sold my BTC at $7900+ and now it's around $7500-$7600...
seeing how it dropped, I think it would drop some more to $7100 level

For the long term investors, it's not a sell point when it hits $8000 obviously. It's only for short term traders and day traders to sell at that point. We should aim $9500 at least to make some profit realization by selling our bitcoins.

If you have money to spare, buy it, if not, sell it and wait for the next dump, then the price drops and then buy it again. I think it might be a good strategy.

In 2025 Bitcoin will cost $25 000 some says $250 000. I am sure if not got warnings in code of btc network that's will happen
So guys if in January of 2017 you put $10 000 in BTC in 2025 you are $1 000 000+

I actually sold a little and transferred them into a handful of altcoins. The altcoins were very cheap yesterday. For Bitcoin, well, yesterday with an $8,000 price was so high, I was expecting some corrections. And corrections there were. But I am also leaving some amounts of Bitcoins. I know for sure that after the short corrections, there will be another round of strong bullish pumps for Bitcoins. This time, it might finally reach at least $9,000.

Depend on how big of your balls. I think if you have big balls you will hold it till the next 5 years. Of cour you're not desperate on money.

I think it would be better to hold.I hope the price of Bitcoin will increase further.Bitcoin people who are already holding up are now a millionaire.So I will say if you hold Bitcoin one year then you will become a millionaire.Bitcoin's demand is increasing day by day.

According to me it is impossible for the value to keep on increasing without any sudden dips,it is possible that over a period of time it keeps on increasing but there would be a dip in between which should be exploited by us traders to make profit by stocking up bitcoins

There is always a risk when bitcoin crosses the all time high price.
I think you should use the bitcoin strength to buy some cheap altcoins if you want to maximize your profit.
If you don't want to take any risk then just Hodl.

For me who belong to a person who doesn't have a lot of money in a pocket, it may be too expensive to buy it at that price, obviously I will choose to sell it. But for those of you who have a lot of money in a pocket, there is no harm I guess if you buy at that price.. because I think the price is still possible going up to $9k and above it in a long term.

In my opinion is not worth to sell on third of your money right now, especially since the price of bitcoin is going to become a lot higher in the next years it is better to hold your bitcoin for as long as you can, I know that it can be difficult and the temptation to sell it is always going to be there, but if we are able to overcome it then the profits we are going to get are going to be even greater.

For sure many people said sell your bitcoin and other will be said hold your bitcoin to make more profit. It's your decision if you sell your bitcoin to that price or you hold it. Make a research read information and nees about bitcoin and for sure those information possible you can prrdict if the price of bitcoin will increase or it will decrease . But for me the price will continue to increase.

If 1btc= $8000 in my opinion the good thing is to sell at this price because through this you will make some profit and the second thing is you will invest your current cash again in these crypto currencies in the future like the altcoins are good to invest in them they are reasonable in buying and are market oriented currencies. The best way is to circulate your money into the crypto market and other markets too.

I think in the next week, Bitcoin's price will be dump back to 7k+ soon.

Sell your bitcoin for another loss? That's very bad decision i suppose. When those people are realizing about the bitcoin and they should think for a twice about the bitcoin doesn't have any limit.
The price can be filled with various number. There is no reason to sell our bitcoin right now.

I always prefer to hold bitcoin now if you have money then buy it don't need to sell your bitcoins. It is not a good time to sell it. Next few days, you will see bitcoin will come at $10000, then you will cry, so hold your bitcoins, and even you have money then buy more bitcoins. I also do it, but now bitcoin is expensive and i can't buy it easily then i do work to earn bitcoin.   

It's pretty obvious that we shouldn't be selling our bitcoin unless their is a special need on your end. Well I sell at $10,000 because I needed some money, but in other circumstances, its better to hold because bitcoin is going to the moon in the next couple of days. I didn't regret my decision to sell though, because of my reasons above. But for those we are just selling to take profit today is making a huge mistake. You can still maximize your profits, just need a little patience on your part.
