Is there a different hard drive/equipment needed to mine each currency? As each one does have a different rate of processing as Bitcoin is a slower one vs Etherum etc. would there be a price difference in mining a lower end Currency for equipment and running times? thanks Title: Re: Question on Equipment for mining? BTC is asics only as due to difficulty GPU mining is obsolete long time ago. Ether is probably bets with AMD saphire cards, but it is very hard to find them in the market cuz of demand. It is better to mine new altcoins and exchange them to the ones you want. It gives you as much as twice bigger profits. Title: Re: Question on Equipment for mining? If you don't have a large amount of money to invest in the equipment then you can start mining altcoins with GPU. It seems to me that there is no reason to buy AMD is better RX to buy VEGA.
