Title: Baikal X10 Multialgo Miner (Non-official Support Thread)
Post by: igotek on November 25, 2017, 04:54:18 PM
Baikal X10 Multialgo Miner

https://i.hizliresim.com/QpnvBG.jpg

Today, I received my Baikal X10 miners. I was so excited for the Baikal X10 miners.

The package was so good as usual. Baikal team makes good packages for international shipping.

I selected %94 efficiency Platinum PSUs for the Baikal X10 miners.
My PSU has 16AVG cables like Baikal cables.
I also have %80 Gold+ efficiency DELL server PSUs.

https://i.hizliresim.com/WGPgym.jpg

One of the new alogrithm is Myriad-Groestl. I started mining on zpool. It was a disaster for me.
After 10 minutes, there is no any pending balance. Maybe pool luck. I will try zpool again.
Then I head to different DGB myriad-groestl pool. Haha ! Perfect. It works well.

https://i.hizliresim.com/zJD32Y.jpg

Then I tried Skein algorithm. Uhm, the problem on the pool again.
If you have any trouble, just change the pool. It works for me.
I think both of the algoirthm works well. There is no problem.
Trust Baikal X10 miners.

Heat ? Aha, what is the heat ? it is so cool !
No more hot weather from the miners. 10 stars over 10 point.
Baikal made their best miner device.

Power need ? Aha, what is the power ? it is so cool !
Only 150 watt ? Aha ! Perfect.
Baikal made their best miner device.

Everyone asks the sound of the Baikal X10.
When I first started the miner, oh my god ! It was the half of the S9.
After I set the baikal-fan lower speed, aha, it is acceptable now.
No big noise from the miners.
Baikal made their best miner device.

is it worth to buy ? Absolutely Y E S !
Buy Baikal X10 miner and be happy.
Low noise, Very Very Low power needs, Not so hot weather.

You can put it running on the next room and sleep :)

If you want to set a static IP for your miner: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2456384
It s not necessary but it is so usefull if you have lots of miners.

Where am I located at ? I live in Turkey. It is so hot here even it is winter time. And no need to use and air conditioner to keep the weather cold for X10 miners.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Setting a static IP for Baikal Miners: Download (http://www.igotek.net/downloads/Baikal/MinerIpConfig.rar)

Baikal Scanner: Download (http://www.igotek.net/downloads/Baikal/BaikalScanner.zip)
Baikal Scanner finds Baikal miners on the local network.

Baikal Monitor v1.4: Download (http://www.igotek.net/downloads/Baikal/BaikalMonitor_v1.4.rar)
You can manage the Baikal miner by using Baikal Monitor v1.4
This is so usefull software.

DGB (Myriad-Groestl) and Verge (Myriad-Groestl)

I mining two different coin on the same algo.
Verge (Myriad-Groestl) How much does it earn per day?

The fan is pulling the air from outside to inside of the miner.

the best Verge myriad-groestl pool that I ve ever seen.

Verge (Myriad-Groestl) How much does it earn per day?

Around 38 USD

Should get mine x10 tomorrow.

I think I am gonna mine on nicehash quark/quibit.

But will test out others as well.

Is there a verge mining calculator for that algo? or how do you calculate the profitability?

Does anyone dare to do a prediction how long this machine will be profitable? A couple of months, half a year, a year or longer?
We know what happened to the D3, but this machine with 7 algo's has of course more potential...

There is no any calculator, but you can learn it after one hour mining on the pool statistic page.

How much are this units and what is delivery waiting period?

You have to wait for the next announcement. There is no any miner on sale right now.
The batch 3 or a new miner will be announced soon.

Should get mine x10 tomorrow.

I think I am gonna mine on nicehash quark/quibit.

But will test out others as well.

Nicehash gives the best rates at Quark.

D3 has only X11 algorithm.
X10 has 5 algorithms and there will be more 2 algorithms.
D3 cannot be compared to Baikal X10.

D3 was produced againt Baikal Giant+ A2000.
D3 miners received in the last of the October.
There is no any profit now.

Baikal Giant+ A2000 miners received in the early of the August.
The profability is 15 USD daily on nicehash. (X13 and X15)

Baikal is the best ASIC manufacturer.

Did you pay to Baikal directly or asicminermarket ?
I paid the first day to directly Baikal. I also paid the shipping fee immediately when they request it.
I think there is some problems on the customs. You should receive the miner soon.

I think the Baikal X10 will be profitable one year at least.
The ROI is 1-2 months at the worst case scenario.
So, buy Baikal X10 and earn money :)

I am always in contact directly with Baikal. In the past I bought a lot of various miners from them.
My friend and I paid all shipping fees. And still nothing. No shipping info. We never had problems with customs office, problem is that Baikal did not sent goods and he continues to extend delivery times or does not respond.

So I am asking you when EXACTly did you order and pay, it is very strange, that you received goods and other customers not.

Many customers is receiving their miners lately. I hope Baikal will tell you the reason when they see this thread. It is Sunday now. Please be patience. If you have any questions about the Baikal miners, I can help about it but not about the delivery.

I have Baikal mini miner, Baikal Cube miner, Baikal Giant+ A2000 miner and Baikal X10 miner. So I can help you if you have any trouble with the miners.

Does one have to download additional Baikal software like: Baikalmonitor, Baikalscanner etc.?
Or does X10 have a built-in web based interface?

You can run Baikal miners standalone. No need to use any additional software.
There are additional softwares to manage the Baikal miners.
Baikal made these softwares. Well, you can use them without any risk.
Check the attached image. You can see all of the Baikal Miners on your local network.
You can manage them.

which kind of PSUs are you using?

alex

2.5 mm2 3500 Watt 220 volt Power cable.
%94 efficiency Platinum Quality 2400 Watt PSU. (it is so good.)
16AVG 6PIN cables.

If you dont use X11 algorithm, you can connect up to 5 Baikal X10 miner.
When you have received your miner, connect it to the PSU and delete all of the default pools.
Then you can connect up to 5 miners on a PSU.
I will never use X11, so it is ok for me.

When you get your miners, you will be ready for mining.

Hey

Got my X10 and running well on zpool. I have been playing with solo mining directly to a local wallet, but I can't get it to work. Has anyone managed to achieve solo mining? I know it may be less profitable, but I want to be able to mine new coins that aren't in pools.

Thanks

First of all great post igotek!

I have a question that baikal can‘t answer (misunderstanding in the meaning).

1.
Are the miners updated when they arrive? (I have 2nd batch)
If not .. what is the official source?

2.
And does the orange pi need a extra SD-Card, or is it included?

Can you please tell igotek? Thanks

For sure, Depending on which algo you are mining you could easily power both units off of a single 1200w server psu. Assuming you won't be mining X11 the most they will pull is 390w according to the website. In a million years when they ship mine I will do at least 2 of my 3 from a single 1200w hp unit.

The solo mining with ASIC is not possible at the moment.
If anyone find it, it will be perfect.

Please be sure you connect one miner to this PSU and set the pools. (Dont set any X11 pools.)
Then do the same for the second miner.
All done !
You can connect two Baikal X10 to HP 1200 Watt.
And one miner is enough for two Baikal X10.

If you want to mine X11 coins, only use one PSU to one miner.

1. It s not clear now. They didnt announce the time of the other two algorithms yet.
2. Yes, there is an Orange Pi Zero with a SDCARD on each miner.

Quark algorithm needs 360 Watt for 10 GH/s. Tested with wattmeter.
I have only tested and checked all algorithms and voltage and fan loud.
The profit is good. For Quark algo, Nicehash gives the best profit.
The daily profit is around 40 USD now.

I'm going to test real-world wattage when my electricity monitor arrives later this week.

I think Quark is more like $35 a day profit after electricity costs. Still too early for me to tell for sure!

Hello!
I can call myself a happy one because I also got mine today & already tried out nicehash quark and dgb myr griestl.

But what I am thinking about is mining poolhub. Its possible there to mine every algo on miningpoolhub which the X10 supports if I am right.
So it would be a great choice to go with miningpoolhub because the miner switches to the coin which is the profitablest one atm. (I read something about that, thats right?) Furthermore I can auto exchange it to any coin I want.
Is there any disadvantage with miningpoolhub?
Somebody alrdy tested ? :)

igotek, are you using these adapters with your hp psu https://www.ebay.com/itm/DPS-1200FB-800GB-Power-Supply-Breakout-Board-Adapter-Fur-Ethereum-Mining-/222593665370?hash=item33d39dc95a ?

i see only 9 pci-e slots in it. How can you connect two x10 to one psu, when one x10 needs 6 pci-e slots?

Check this link (https://tr.aliexpress.com/item/GPU-Mining-Power-Supply-Kit-1200W-PSU-Breakout-Board-12pcs-PCI-E-6Pin-Cables/32829725672.html?spm=a2g10.search0104.3.1.jgjxZu&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_4_10152_10065_10151_10344_10068_10345_10342_10325_10343_10546_10340_10341_10548_10541_10562_10084_10083_10307_10539_5080015_10312_10059_10313_10314_10534_10533_100031_10604_10603_10103_10594_10557_10596_10595_10142_10107,searchweb201603_25,ppcSwitch_3&btsid=14c508a4-8bd2-48a2-b084-5c95312b4aab&algo_expid=f9cc3534-b31e-4864-a46f-fb1284736a58-0&algo_pvid=f9cc3534-b31e-4864-a46f-fb1284736a58&rmStoreLevelAB=5)

I use the same break out board for the PSU.
I have 2400 Watt Paltinum PSU and it can be connected to two breakout board.
Each breakout board has 9 X 6 PIN power connector.
I have total 8 X 6 PIN power cables on a PSU.
Just calculate your power needs then connect it.
Be careful whlie connecting multiple X10 to a PSU.

I have never trid miningpoolhub with X10. But I have used their pool with Cube and mini miners Baikal.
It was good. Not bad.

The profitable coin mining is possible for Quark, Qubit, and X11 with Nicehash.
Myriad groestl with zpool
Skein with zpool
I dont like zpool. it give less coin than the other pools.

DGB Myriad-Gorestl: https://dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com
VERGE Myriad-Groestl: http://xvg-mg.idcray.com/

I use these two pools which are the best pools now for Baikal X10.
There are different pools around. Just try them and post your results here.

I have the same question about your payment date, you did not answered it.
Most of customer did not received any miner, you and some people yes and I do not understand why.

When exactly did you order and pay?
My friend paid 13th September in BTC a still has no shipping details, I paid 15th September ans also nothing...

Did you pay to Baikal directly or asicminermarket ?
I paid the first day to directly Baikal. I also paid the shipping fee immediately when they request it.
I think there is some problems on the customs. You should receive the miner soon.

When will this units be available for purchase again?

There is no any announcement about it. I m looking forward to getting new miners on the next batch.
Baikal X10 is the best miner that I have ever seen.

Not sure how I prove I'm not?  ???

Maybe I just got lucky! This is my first foray into mining. I did consider buying a D3, but I'm glad I didn't as X11 isn't very profitable now.

I'll post profitability results after my first full 24 hours of mining (I spent some time playing with trying to set-up solo mining as a learning exercise, but failed!).

Baikal X10 is the most profitable ASIC miner.
Baikal Giant+ A2000 and Bitmain Antminer L3+ are the second flag in the ASIC world.

I m mining suprnova zen pool at the moment. It is good. I have mined on hush pool in the past.
It is good. But I have never mined on the DGB groestl pool.
Suprnova payouts are good on all the pools all the time. But you have to check pool luck.

Sorry dude, I have to comment posts like yours. Do you really expect an answer? What you wrote makes no sense. The words are in english...but they (the words) are randomly arranged. Fee on a Asic machine? What? Fee on pools? Sure!

Baikal only mines on whichever algo and coin.
Most of the exchanges accepts payments from the pools.
The pool will pay to the exchange's wallet, not Baikal.

Many people are receiving their miners lately.
Just check the pools, you can see there are more miner with a few miners day by day.

@Gedash

My skpye is "igotek". Add me in the Skype.
I can check your miner via Teamviewer when I have free time.

so this miner has a fee? then the miners will avoid it. atleast put pool fee or dev fee.

There is no any devfee. You pay only for the miner, PSU and power.
You buy ASIC device, not a free miner software.

Many home routers have the ability for their DHCP server to assign an IP address to a device manually so that the device always gets the same IP. Maybe that would help?

You could also try ipconfig /flushdns and nbtstat -R then try ping baikal to see if the IP address has changed. Your router should also have a client list of all attached devices and their IP.

Hi, im mining with x10 for 4 days.
My results:
http://xvg-mg.idcray.com / https://dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com/   Best pools
zpool for quark/mygr/qubit/skein  bad
miningpoolhub  not bad
nicehash is down :(
suprnova same as miningpoolhub - maybe a little bit better
I have few questions
When I set fan speed bellow 48%  Fan starts doing this - 30%.....1sec60%.......30%.......1sec60%. Every 10seconds fan goes to 60% for 1sec. Why ?
Temp is really good 20C, I wonder If its possible to overlock... ?

Someone else have this issue:

I set the fan speed to 30%. Mining myrgroestl... the temp ist around 28 degrees, so it should be fine. Well... my problem is, the fan is speeding up every few minutes (or seconds) and goes back to the 30%. This spin-up noise is really annoying and I cant see any reason why its doing so. Hahsrate and all is not affected. Its only the fan which spins up and down.

Somebody else have this behavior?

I noticed this same issue at 30% fan speed. Doesn't happen at 20 or 50% fan.

Related question: is there a list of the sgminer options somewhere? Interested in using the auto fan control and temp cutoff, but the "gpu-xxx" options from the sgminer docs on GitHub don't seem to work.

Edit: looking for the custom baikal options for sgminer. The only two I've found are "baikal-fan" and "enable-nicehashsma"

@igotek

Hi, im mining with x10 for 4 days.
My results:
http://xvg-mg.idcray.com / https://dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com/   Best pools
zpool for quark/mygr/qubit/skein  bad
miningpoolhub  not bad
nicehash is down :(
suprnova same as miningpoolhub - maybe a little bit better
I have few questions
When I set fan speed bellow 48%  Fan starts doing this - 30%.....1sec60%.......30%.......1sec60%. Every 10seconds fan goes to 60% for 1sec. Why ?
Temp is really good 20C, I wonder If its possible to overlock... ?

Use %25 fan speed on myriad groestl.
Use %50 fan speed on Quark or Qubit.

I saw the same problem on %30 - %40 fan speed.

Overclock isnt possible on Baikal X10 Miner.

@igotek

i like this thread, i need your guidance on two issues:-

1. Do you think this psu can run two giant x10s?
http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hxi-series-hx1200i-high-performance-atx-power-supply-1200-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-psu

2. How and where can i modify fan speed as i am using skein only.

thank you.

If you dont use X11 algorithm, you can use this PSU. It should be OK.
You can modify fan speed on miner page of the Baikal GUI.

SGMINER OPTIONS
baikal-fan         25

Regarding PSU cables: You can use 6+2 pin PCI connectors.

Use %25 fan speed. It should be OK.
Dont use %30 fan speed. It is a problem. The fan cannot run at %30 fan speed correctly.

There is no any other options for Baikal miner on SGMINER.
The Baikal Miners work at 80 c without any problem.
Just be sure there is fresh air in the place where you use the miners.

Hi,

I am pretty new in the mining world. From the Netherlands, so my English is a little poor perhaps.

This week we received 15 Baikal X10 miners. We already have L3's and Innosilicons running.
The interface for the Baikal is totally different, so i am having difficulty configuring that. But that is probably just practice and searching the internet. (however, tips are very welcome!)

But besides that, if have even a bigger problem. We now have 9 Baikals running. The other 6 i can't seem to find. I tried to look them up in Baikal scanner, and also in Advanced ip scanner, but no succes!

There is no reset buton on the miners. No sd slot. Only an USB slot and an other litte slot for some sort of connection cable. I read something about installing a new sd card image. Can i do this with usb aswell? There is no sd slot in the Baikal.

Again, 9 miners appeared perfectly when using ip scanner. But the other 6 are ghosts.....
I picked two of the ghost miners up and plugged them in at my own place, but also there they don't show up.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem? Please....

Francis

There is an SDCARD in the Baikal X10.
Just removethe cables and remove the screws.
You will see the OrangePi Zero. The SDCAD is located behind the CAT5 interface.
You cannot modify SDCARD image by using USB. USB is for the updating the MCU firmware for the boards.

-

Before doing anything, just power off the PSU and power ON it again.
You will find them on Baikal monitor. I use smart plugs to restart the Baikal miners.

I rather not disassamble the miner because of the guarantee.
I tried to power on and off. Also switcht the power cords, but no success.
Have baikal monitor and also baikal scanner. On both they do not appear.
Lights on the baikal are blinking. Is there any other solution left, before
I have to contact the factory? I rather not sent them back for repair. I read
that this is a real time consuming problem.....

update:

I changed my mind and took out the SD card. When connecting it to my computer, nothing happens. I do hear the 'pling', but
no screen opens and no extra directory appears. The sd card of one of the other machines however did open on my computer.
Only gave the message that he can't open the content, because it is a unknown file. This machine can be found on the computer,
but i can't get in the interface. I am now pretty sure that there is something wrong with the sd cards.

What can i do? Buy a few new sd cards. If i put the PiZero_GX10 file on there, downloaded from there website, will that maybe solve the problem?

Thanks for your reply. I just tried to write the file to a (formatted) sd card , but i get error 5 in win32diskimager. Something about an error that occurs while writing data to the handle???

I tried to use another usb port. Als tried to use an other adapter for the sd card, but no luck still. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

when you insert the SDCARD to card read and pc, you will see a few file inside the SDCARD.
if you cannot see them:

SDCARD is corrupt or your card reader is out of order.

Try another SDCARD and check if you pc will see the files or not.

use SDCARD FORMATTER software to format SDCARD.
then write the X10 image to SDCARD.
use 4 GB SDCARD. if your SDCARD is corrupt, win32disk software will show you error.
You must check SDCARD is OK or not and the same for card reader.
this problem is not related with Baikal. you must have some computer skills.

Thanks!

What i did: i first formatted the SD card with SD formatter. Then used diskpart to clean it intirely, using this tutorial https://www.[Suspicious link removed]s/www.windowscentral.com/how-clean-and-format-storage-drive-using-diskpart-windows-10%3famp

After that i could write the X10 file to the SD card succesfully. Put it in one of the baikals.....and tadaaaaa!! It's working again! :D

Thanks for your help. Tomorrow i will do the same with the rest of the baikals and give an update when they are all on air.

great! when you formated sd card, which file allocation system did you use? fat32, ntfs or some other?

NTFS. If you click the link in my previous post, you can see. Some of the defect cards i could directly
clean with diskpart, but some of them gave an error. These cards i first formatted with SD formatter,
and after that i could run diskpart without any error. I just formatted all the defect cards with succes.
Now installing the X10 file on the cards.

1 of the X10's is finally running perfectly now! :D The others i will know in a few hours. Hope to have them all up
and running by then.

Received my miner today. So far (over 8h running) it made around 400 DGB, which is alot less than I expected or whattomine says.
I'm mining on Mining Pool Hub, since it was easy to setup und I'm pretty new to mining in general.
Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to do special settings except to point my miner on the pool? Like do I have to set the difficulty or something like that? And if so, how exactly do I do that?
Also sometimes my Dashboard on MPH shows that my hashrate is down to like 8GH/s or 5GH/s or once even 1GH/s but in the settings of the Miner it was constantly on over 10GH/s and I dont have auto switching activated so it cannot switch to other coins.. Why is that?

EDIT:
I just saw that sometimes when the hashrate on Digibyte-Groestl goes down I get hashrate on Myriadcoin-Groestl even tho I didnt allow my miner/worker to mine that coin. Why is that? Did anyone ever have a similar problem on Mining Pool Hub?

I have 10 X10s

A couple issues i'm working through.

- Hash rate of miner is much less pool side
- Getting a "Miner down" error. It appears it is connected, but the miner is not started
- Boards sometimes stop working
- The units not currently working I'm getting a "Miner: 111 Connection Refused" error when I try to remotely reboot it.

You are mining on Mining Pool Hub's Auto-switching Groestl port.

Port 17005 is their auto-switching Groestl port. It automatically switches to mine the most profitable groestl coin.

Mine to port 20499 to only mine DGB-Groestl.

I started to mine Verge 2 days ago on idcray. Yesterday when I looked in "Earnings" the last 24h I made over 1110 XVG but today its only 800. That is over 25% less. Do you know why that is? Also: Do I have to set the difficulty on my Baikal or some other properties or settings? All I did was pointing it at the pool adresse and put in my username.
And what does the idcray site mean by "mining different was changed for X10 ,plz check your miner."?

Thanks for helping!

Because many switched over to mine Verge coin>more miner>higher hashrate>higher diff>less profit for all.

I guess "different" should be "difficulty". I mined with VarDiff on idcray and the assigned diff was around 30-70. So the port for diff=50 should be fine. Maybe they added the 50 for Baikal X10 owners. All you have to do is to use port 10064 for a fixed difficulty at 50.

I am a big fan of Baikal but the support is getting very slow, which i did not expected from Baikal.

Trying reinstall of software does not bring any change.

I hope they reply soon because every day i am loosing several hours of mining and BTC revenues.

It clearly seems like a Ethernet port or Orange pi issue, i hope they reply soon because it is really annoying to keep baby sitting a miner which is supposed to work 24/7 without interruptions.

Any good pool of Verge Myriad Groestl?

Looks like a stable Pool? Its up for not even 1h. Probably your own pool or of one of your friends. There is nothing wrong with opeing own pool, but not to say it and to act like its already an esablished pool and call it "stable" after not even 1h uptime is shady to me. No thanks.

neither myself own nor my friends. I mined x11 and scrypt on his pools those are stable and honestly pays
He setup because i told him idcray cheater and community needs a stable honest pool.

Its upto you to use or not  :)
but definitely worth a try

Hello Everyone,

I've received my niner yestersay and been fighting with it since then.

I performed the SD card erase and the uploaded the software.

Inserted the card, started the miner, and then everything was working fine until I've started to update the pools (Nicehash). Then the miner went offline and gave me this error 111.

Anyone has an idea?

Performed multiple resets by turning off miner with no help....

Thanks guys.

BLINKING BLUE LIGHT FIX

I may have just stumbled on a fix for the blinking blue light issue. I haven't had a problem with it until last night. I restored one of my miners' settings from a backup and forgot to change the username under the pool configs, so two of my machines were hashing on the same pool with the same username. Got the blinking blue light. Reset the machines to have different usernames and everything has been working fine. This was mining on idcray-xvg pool, haven't observed the issue with other pools.

Hope this helps someone!

Update: just tried switching to MPH and got blinking blue on every machine. Checked the "Extranonce" box and did a power cycle, and so far, so good. Will post again if I continue to get errors on MPH.

Its simple
click "Help--> Getting Started"
you will find stratum servers
And under "Workers" you can create the username and password.
Hope it helps  :)

To all who have Problems with their Baikal X10:

I got one x10 from Batch2 a week ago and had severe problems with the miner. Allways got the error "Miner 111 Connection refused". Tried everything, different pools, configs, updated the Software several times,... no use. Baikal support not responding till now.

A few ours ago they uploaded a new software for the x10 on their site.

Igo i noticed you have two "sick" miner as well shown on baikal monitor because of the lower hashrate.
One of my devices hashboard, BKLU ID:0 has only total 48 out of the 64 chips active, therefore also shown as "sick" because the total hashrate is only ~9.3 GH/s.

Any idea if this can be fixed or need to get replaced by baikal?

Question but there is no option in baikal-fan
For the fan speed in automatic
to keep a selected temperature
It comes from factory to 100 very noisy for now I set to 30 and that's fine
but I would be safer if it would be possible to keep it automatically

Like Algorithm and Coin Pools now what you are using on the X10

Thank you

You can add a new option and write "baikal-fan" and put a value for fan. EG: 50

I received the second lot and I already had the baikal-fan option which was very noisy at 100 for now I set at 30
but I'm happy if it is possible to have the speed of the automatic fan
to keep a setpoint temperature but I do not know if this is possible

The automatic fan speed is not possible. You have to set it manually.
You can use 30 for myriad-groestl and skein. You can use 50 for quark and qubit.

I have a hashrate finding regarding the X10.

Tested out mining on NiceHash QUARK the last couple of days.

My miner is in perfect condition, but typically my Baikal-Fan is set to 50. With this setting, I was only getting accepted speeds on NiceHash ranging from 5000-8000 for the entire 24 hours.

Once I set the fan speed back to 100, accepted speeds went back up to the expected 10,000.

Temps don't change much whatever the fan speed.

Anyone else experience similar?

I don't use Nicehash, but I don't experience a change in hash rate vs fan speed. My fan is at 50% and hash rate fluctuates between 6.5 and 13.5 reported; averages out between 9 and 10 over a longer period.

C.

Would anyone be willing to give me ssh access to their X10 so I can poke around (without altering any settings)?

I'm building a coin hopping pool server and I'd like to make a custom image for X10 miners so that it automatically switches between the most profitable algo. I'm also curious if by deciphering the code if I could potentially unlock the ability to multi-mine. The X10 miner should be able to mine say qubit and groestlcoin (GRS) at the same time. If they had placed a couple additional SHA engines it would be possible to mine almost all of these algo simultaneously.

Fan speed cannot change the hashrate power.

this. and if your running it 40 degrees+ then youre not doing it right. read the specs. the safe max temp is 40

i adjust fan speed all the time depending on the temp since i live in south florida but I never come off 10ghs + or - a little.

as i understand, baikal states "operational temp 0 - 40 C" is ambient tenperature. Not chips itself.

I think we're talking about different things. My x10 never falls below 10.1gh on the baikal dashboard. I was talking about the hash rate reported from a mining pool.

I had a new unit shipped that had this exact problem - red light, no blue or green lights.  Because I had multiple units I was able to isolate the problem by swapping both the SD card and the OPi with a functioning unit and determined it was a defective OPi unit as both controllers and all hash boards worked.  You'll need to contact Baikal to get a replacement OPi - no need to ship the unit back IF that's the problem.  It's way faster to have them send you an OPi than a round trip of the entire unit.

** NOTE ** OrangePis are not covered by Baikal's warranty so you have to pay for the new units

Perhaps you forgot to update the Start IP / End IP addresses to reflect your LAN settings (eg., 192.168.0.0 instead of 192.168.1.0) on the Scan window. Also, select Append option before you Start the scan.

It is set up so that only my IP can access. I have tried everything. Does anyone have any ideas of suggestions?  Has anyone experienced anything like this?

-Change your static IP.
-Burn the newst Orange Pi image to SDCARD.
-Run your X10 with the new SDCARD.

Hi.

i have 3 baikal x10, but i have one problem with them.

they are constantly reconnected to the network after 10 seconds of work, then the minutes of the asics do not respond to requests and again 10 seconds of operation

Hi -We spoke by phone about BCU1525 and I bought one. Changing subjects, did you ever build your own coin hopping pool server for Baikal X10 and mentioned in this BitcointTalk post? If so, is it possible for me to mine to it please? Is there a benefit? Thanks
