As per these trend , surely next year end this bitcoin will go 25000 USD.

what about your opinions?  and need to know due to forks this risen trend happens?

It is possible that Bitcoin will hit more than $25K USD at the end of 2018. During the time period, maybe two or three more Bitcoin's hard forks going to implement (maybe some Bitcoin platinum, titanium, millennium etc)

I think that is definitely possible. At the rate it has been growing and all the good news coming out anything is possible.

This is possible but it will take more years for this kind of increase to happen. Today bitcoin's reach $8k dollars and the predictions is already happening, It is not impossible for bitcoins to reach $10k dollars in this coming year 2018.

It's almost hit $10 000 already. This growth however is down to the enthusiasm of the population. If people stop caring about bitcoin then the price will stagnate and stop rising, but at this rate it will hit $25000 by the end of 2018. This is not definite however and I believe that the growth will slow down.

We do not know what is feeding this growth, so it is a bit early to predict how the price trend will influence the future. If this is purely speculators manipulating the market, then we are going to see some big corrections. If this is institutional capital flowing in, then the price trend might take us much higher than this.

I see no major events or positive announcements that might influence the price now.  ???  

I do not think that this rise is going to be so huge.

Looking at the price during this year which is increasing significantly, it looks like very possible to reach $25k at the end of 2018 but no one knows. It will depends on the markets and some other factors. We should see what will happen next year, many things may influence bitcoin price. We cant speculate or predict or even hope to see $25k, lets just wait and see.

Yeah it is not so much impossible, since today it is almost $9700 and at the end of this year I think it can goes up to $10,000 or maybe $11,000. Not so much impossible to reach $25,000 at the end of 2018. Though we all knew that the price may goes down again after new years eve, let's just hope it won't fall back again to $6000.  :)

If we will based on the growth trend of Bitcoin for this year and if it will continue to grow till the end of next year, it is not impossible for Bitcoin to reach that price. In fact, it can be greater than that. So far, all of the speculations for Bitcoin price this year are true. Let's just hope that Bitcoin will continue to grow and many more countries will adapt it so that the price will pump more.

You can't assume that the price will rise at its current ratio until it reaches $25K. Hopefully we weill eventually get there, but probably not at this speed.

Hi there udayantha11! I think the $25k could be reached before the April next year only if the current price increase rate will be consistent. The price raises from 1k last January 2017 and we are seeing a 10k before this year end that concludes a 1,000% price increase. However, when the price raises slow like what happen in 2016-2017 which only increases 130% for the whole year, your target $25k is still attainable before the 2018 ends. This is just my expectation and I’m with you with the expectation to raise the price of bitcoin despite the frequent announcement of fork considering they become successful or not.  ;)

I am really enthusiastic about this, I hope Bitcoin will break 25K Boundary by Mid 2018.

There is a lot of talk about bitcoin and crypto in general among the people that fully ignored it up to a few months ago.

Even ads are now targeting the sheep. I think this is the first wave of money from the start of mass adoption.

I understand your point. The only positive things that I'm hearing is that CME rumor, but yes its a rumor that this massive pump if I may see is out of proportion. Is investors really pouring this cash? Is this the anticipation for CME rumor? Or maybe individuals are buying because there are real state properties now that are being offered in bitcoin.

As for for 2018, if we are going to predict $25,000, it doubles the current price. The the growth of bitcoin will be around 200% correct? This year alone we have been growing more than 900% so a 200% perfect growth prediction is a safe estimation I guess. And its a fair estimate so that we can't be disappointed when bitcoin can get that, though its too early to say, a lot can happen in the future.

I would like to say that this is a silly speculation but I cannot really say that if bitcoin is concern. It may or may not reach 25K. But what I like to point out is that this trend cannot run that long. It will soon hit a bump and maybe a dump will happen. The speculation of 25K by end next year will probably not happen. Plus, if we reach that high, this forum will be filled with threads complaining how high transaction price (in dollars) is. That would scare new money to come in.  

I am much more pessimistic then to expect this ludicrous trend up will continue indefinitely (as much as I wish this to actually happen). Perhaps it will hit 10 000$ but I can't stop thinking this rise is related to Tether uncontrolled emission and at some point tether will suffer either insolvency or bank problem, that will tear down bitfinex and consequently drop BTC price 30%-40% instantly, then panic will bring it further down.

Base on the current trends in the price of bitcoin $25000 by 2018 can be very realistic, because just in January 2017 the price of bitcoin was below $700 but in November it price sky rocket to above $9000 and still counting and I believe before the end of this year 2017 it will hit around $10000 and above. Judging from the present happening in the steady rise in the price of bitcoin I agree with your prediction on bitcoin price reaching $2500 by 2018. Due to the fact that bitcoin price as at this moment is above $9000 and before the end of this year 2017 it will be above $10000, bitcoin has sustained a steady and continues increase in price in the exchange market kodos to bitcoin.

Maybe or maybe not know one really knows. But as per the chart of Bitcoin's value this year is spectacular, so far it is a great run for Bitcoin. I think 25k next year isnt gonna happen, maybe give it atleast the minimum of 1 and a half to 2 years. I know we're close to the much awaited 10k mark but that doesnt mean Bitcoin will continue to rise, there will be a huge correction and upcoming forks in the future or even a dump that will happen, anything can happen.

Maybe. It's less than 3x from the current price, so it's not impossible. However, I do not think that there will be two consecutive years with a rise for an order of magnitude, like in 2017.

It's not unrealistic for it to hit that point in the not so distant future although as prices rise to that amount we will also have many selling so it could counteract massive rises in value.

With regards to the value of bitcoin next year, it is possible for bitcoin to increase to $25,000 if what happened in 2017, will happen to 2018 as well. However the price of bitcoin is very volatile as to when the price would fluctuate. No one knows when it would be, we just need to be updated with the news on bitcoin. https://news.bitcoin.com/ We would need good news all the way for bitcoin. As of now, the price is slowly going up however with the hardfork that's going to happen on December; the effect is yet to know. Just always be aware of news and happenings.

With the $10K mark predicted to happen before the end of 2017 and apparently it could happen this week; the $25K mark could be easily achieved during the course of 2018 (not necessarily before its end)

It's so funny to think that some months ago everybody was saying that bitcoin possibily could hit 10k or more til the end of the year. So when we finally get there, the same people starts to say "ah it's a bubble" "it's going to correct until 4k usd" "Do not buy now because we are ath". And now seeing price, I agree with you 100%, we'll reach 25k usd next year, maybe in the half of the year, maybe in december 2018. What I know is that bitcoin is breaking barriers never seen before in the crypto's history.

My own prediction is it will hit 6 digit. This year was one heck of a ride. from hundred to a thousand. why not make a trend and make it a hundred thousand next year.

I think that's too early for bitcoin to hit $25,000 next year. Many are expecting that it will be fine at $15,000 but if the same thing will happen next for this year, then the price will be calibrating from $15,000 - $25,000 or even higher. With those forks, they are just giving more free coin and people are allowing to keep on buying. It just adds to the demand of bitcoin when people earned from it.

I think that it is not relevant if the forks happen, because the growth potential is in bitcoin itself, and it is genuine bitcoin (BTC) that drives the other forked chains price up, not the other way around

Its possible, not just possible but inevitable. The question is not if it can reach that, but the question is always just when it will reach that price. Right now, I don't see any reason why bitcoin prices would go down anymore. Since right now there is no immediate threat to bitcoins like the previous months about forks and other regulatory problems. I think right now it is smooth sailing for bitcoins and the price will go up till probably $12,000 before it corrects.

I would have said this is impossible before, but for me watching how bitcoin is growing currently, i think it can actually hit 25k by next year.

Bitcoin will need a strong momentum before we see that moment, hard fork will give a strong uptrend depending on number of investors participation on the given project.

It is possible to reach 25,000$ by next year looking at the percentage rate of growth this year, if that should be the case then bitcoin will be able to surpass even 25k$ should all things be equal in the coming year.

It is really hard to have that kind of prediction like what happened last year when it was below 1000$ no one expected that it will go this high as they were only expecting that it will go back up to the 1000$ level. Bitcoin is unpredictable and there is no sure answer for your question. You have this kinds of targets or expectations but it is really hard to expect on something that is volatile so my suggestion for you is to always monitor the prices rather than hold and sit tight on it and treat it like an investment.

I think if btcoin does not suffer from many drop in this year, probably 25K us dollar is reached. But in the next, if this so fast pump repeat bitcoin price will go 25K us dollar. I will not doubt bitcoin for it already prove what he can in this year.

it is realistic to see bitcoin hitting the 25,000$ price mark.
it is supply and demand which applies to everything from art to crypto.
i also think there will be bumps along the journey too, big dumps and price rises also.

There is 2 possibilities that make bitcoin price go high (in my opinion) :
1. Whales go manipulate the prices
2. Too many predictions about bitcoin prices will be higher and make people scramble to buy bitcoin.
And we don't know which one of them that make bitcoin price go up. If the price rising because of whales then we must worried.

It was my thinking before a week that bitcoin will hit 10,000 in 2018 and 25,000 was a future hit for bitcoin, but recent rates of the bitcoin rising show that bitcoin will hit 10,000 in 2017 and bitcoin will hit 25,000 in 2018. the rate are going very fast in upward direction so that it is now near that bitcoin will hit 25,000 in 2018.

I have count that mostly people on this forum have very big optimistic with bitcoin price will increase and hit more than $25k.
I also have the same opinion also, optimist with this trend will continue next year.

I think the next target is 15k per 1 BTC, also probably it could be 20 k per 1 BTC. The next year I suppose BTC will not be so volatile as in 2017.

Indeed, this year has been a wild ride for bitcoin since it went up from 1000$ to nearly 10k with a growth that exedes any other investment in the world with a profit that surpasses 1000%, and we are pretty sure that bitcoin will continue to grow both in terms of price and the number of people who are using it and also in terms of investments, although we can never predict what the price of the bitcoin may reach, as it does not stop to suprise us and keeps on going to numbers we never dreamed of, there is one thing for sure and that is as long as the community keeps on working together and we keep on fighting for this noble cause the bitcoin will always keep on growing.

Me too. This year has beem a breakout year for btc. I cam't even count anymore how much we've broken an alltime high since it's pretty consistent in breaking it. And that paved the way for this trend which is very likely to continue next year

I really do not get you. Bitcoin is very close to $10000 before the end of November and you are still going as far as 2018 before you hit $10000? Sure, we cannot predict the future but there are somethings that are realistic when it comes to speculation and I am pretty sure waiting for as far as $10000 in 2018 is not one of them. I will rather stick with OP's speculation instead based on some of the developments that may end up happening.

The thing right now from the look of things is that mass adoption is going to be huge next year based on what is being expected. With the attack this year and all the things that happened, bitcoin was still able to have a huge level of bull run, so I can imagine what it would be like when some of the news we have been expecting starts becoming reality. We need no major announcements or whatsoever mate, bitcoin has its own independent popularity and only the social media and bitcointalk can make it happen. The growth of the price now is one of the big stepping stones on how we can achieve that goals, and much more profitable to those who hold until such time price of $25K is reached. I agree that speculators had a bigger effect on the price fluctuations and they really been poisoning every other people's brains regarding the negative side which isn't proven yet. All I can barely say is stick on the decisions which you think can give you better future and hold until we can gain the good results.

If you purely look at how much growth we have experienced this year, and just straightly assume it will stretch out till next year, then the $25,000 level doesn't seem like a major obstacle to overcome. However, we have to understand that the growth we have gone through this year is abnormally high, and will likely not be experienced in a similar fashion again in the forthcoming years. It's beyond insane that Bitcoin goes up like 900% in a matter of eleven months. These level of growth rates are usually only something happening with altcoins due to their insanely thin markets.

There is no doubt in this that Bitcoin will hit 25000 USD .Bitcoin has a enough potential to reach 25000$ mark.I think we will not have to wait for the next year to end because the rate at which Bitcoin is rising , this mark will be reached in the middle of the next year i.e. 2018.There has been a rise of about 4500$ in the price from the past two weeks and the current price is 9500$ and it is expected to cross 10000$ mark and even more in the first week of december. I think the $25,000 could be come to before the May next year. Nonetheless, when the price raises moderate like what occur in previous year which just increments one hundred thirty percent for the entire year, your objective $25,000 is as yet feasible before the 2018 finishes. The rate is even really surprising. I remember at the beginning of this year, most people were not really expecting this much and then here we have it. With so many things that happened that tried to halt the growth of bitcoin, it was just persistent and that is one thing to look forward to as an investor.

As we have reached $10000, surely the price of bitcoin will grow high to reach $25000 or even higher than $25000. Definitely it's possible , until this month no one really predicted that the price can hit 10000$ .
This is target that analysts were talking about since a year and now that bitcoin has reached this limit it's definitely possible for it to reach 25k $ .
Either it will be unrealistic rise in the price or the normal up and down which has been going on until now.

I think of course it can be accomplished, even this very fast rise is so good for bitcoin retention. this gives hope for bitcoiners to see higher prices again, even reaching over $ 25000 for 1 bitcoin.

That is clearly possible. A lot of developments will happen next year better than what we saw this year and that would make the bull run even faster than we ended up having it this year.

With all the forks, the attacks, the FUDs, the crazy manipulations and issues from China, bitcoin still ended up climbing all these shitty situations and doing better. Now, imagine some of the good news we are expecting popping next year. Most of the predictions are really getting closer.

No one really expected it to be this early but I always give room for surprises anyway since this is not the first time bitcoin is ever going to do that. We can see a lot of improvement coming up eventually and some news that would even make it surge than this in coming years and I have never been so optimistic about something in my life as much as I am with bitcoin right now.

Chances are bright after seeing the recent progress of bitcoin this thing will happen in coming year that bitcoin will go above 25000$ and I have seen many people who are regretting now that why they didn’t invested into bitcoin when they heard about it. Price to the 25000$ need more investor and more nations acceptance and that will happen because bitcoin has created the corner in the minds of businessmen.

The title says bitcoin hit 25k and I was wondering on which planet did it happen. As per the speed at which is rising, it can surely double by next 3-4 months but I wonder how expensive it would be for buyers to buy this coin and keep it as an investment. It's worth holding now but the long-term survival is doubtful as it's only dependent on market speculation.

Progress curve of bitcoin is showing the people interest about digital currency and this is true fact that people are welcoming bitcoin open heartedly and maybe in coming 4 to 5 years there will be a resolution placed in the united nation desk to legalize bitcoin all over the world and governments will accept t for sake of development and on that time price will be much more than 25000$ so wait and see the miracle.

The price of the bitcoin is now decreaseing and its now 9700 dollars from 10k dollars plut to that price. I don't think the price will become that because 25k dollars is very big amount they need few years more before tehy reach that. But we don"t know when it exact happen to the bitcoin price after fee years maybe it will decrease or increase.

I think you are correct need morethan 2 years to make bitcoin value hits 25000$ depending also the adopting of every countries in this world, if the demand continuous increasing next year maybe in a year it will reach higher value which gives more profit to all investors.

At least by the end of the year we can expect such a price increase to take place. Because, when Japan entered the market with the support of the government the usage increased much bigger along with good number of market adoption taking place in a small time period. This lead to a sudden growth reach more than $5000. If similar scenarios take place reaching $25000  will never be a big deal.

People said it's impossible for bitcoin to pass $2,000 but we saw $3,000. And then some said it's impossible to pass $5,000, we saw $10,000. Then some said this was the end, and we saw $11,000.

We will see that price in the year 2020 as its too high price and you cannot expect to achieve that price in next few months but bitcoin surely has an ability and potential to achieve that price in near future so the best thing would be to buy now and hold it as it will surely bring best profits for you.

Bitcoin is no doubt very much capable of going up to the milestone of 25k $ but the thing is it will take lot of time. The most important thing which will help bitcoin in having more market value is increase in the demand of bitcoin all over the world.

eher will be 3 forks until end of January, maybe the price will get higher because all the people want some free coins from the forks.

Hard forks are now becoming a joke and people really do not see their relevance anymore asides the fact that they are just in the market to create nuisance. Bitcoin whatever they may want to add in front of it are just some form of scam for them to enrich themselves, bitcoin will keep going higher and a time will come when even the devs of those shitty forked coins will end up dumping their coins for bitcoin.

Yeah for sure this can possibly happen by 2018 maybe at the end of June or December in which if demand for bitcoin  would volumely increase day by day. And if the government do not make such moves or schemes that would result to public negative image on bitcoin. Also if they could not cause any interference through by example by imposing tax or such that could result to public disappointment.

Probably this price will be reached even before the end of 2018. I suppose  Summer can show the greatest growth of BTC.

Bitcoin's $ 25,000 target is a difficult target, because it is a huge amount. If the value of the dollar falls, maybe we can see 25,000 dollars :) We have experienced that Bitcoin can not go above 12000 dollars. Everything is connected to the dollar :)

Some people say that Bitcoin is going to reach 25.000 USD at the end of the year 2018 .  I don.t think so , just think , if Bitcoin race up from 5000 USD to 11000 USD in just a month , in 12 months do you think it's going to reach just 25000 ? Its likely that that would not happen at the same pace as when btc breached record high after record high last december but i also believe that 25k is pretty achievable before the second half of 2018. A lot of factors point that way even with the strong showing of other alts.

I am still waiting 25k. 2 months ago we reached almost 20k (actually some exchanges sold at this price). We are in a big correction since then. Next leg up is coming and price will grow more in January.

The mass bitcoin adoption is just beginning. Finally we see advertisements directed towards a wider audience to invest into bitcoin, articles and media coverage enlightening people about cryptos.

Recently with the Chinese backing out, i don't have much to say with confidence to speculate bitcoin's future.

Bitcoin will definitely reach that easily, that is if the "pumping day by day" you've said is the actual truth which we all know is not. It is good to be optimistic but being realistic won't hurt.

$25k will be reached within the first two quarters of this year (now I'm being optimistic ::)). The ATH last year was almost $20k, very close to our target here so we can safely say that Bitcoin will reach that target with certainty. Let's just hope that Bitcoin is also optimistic ::) ;D

It was stopped when it was about to reach $20,000 but still I have hope that it will happen.

I don't know if it was too quick or I'm just assuming it fast that we've been stuck at the line of $14,000 up until now.

20k was a psychological barrier that many people sold at, and that downturn caused a bit of panic, and then a lot of panic. Just a big domino effect. Once we get past 20k again that barrier will be gone until maybe 25k or 30k is achieved.

Last month Bitcoin price hit 20k. Then it started to decline.Then it increased to 17k and reduced again to 14k.But sooner Bitcoin will come back to normal.It will reach 20k a month.

The point people missed is exactly this! They think if bitcoin price decline, others will make price rallies. This is wrong. If bitcoin dies ot hurt, other will suffer hard obviously. They must understand this.

Agreed, altcoins mostly have the dependence upon bitcoin and when it comes to bitcoin it doesn't depend much upon the altcoins. So, when bitcoin declines the same will affect the entire network. For a healthy growth mutual rise is a must. When we talk about the price increase, surely expect the increase to happen $25000 but none knows accurately when it happens.

Bitcoin is rapidly increasing its value from time to time. To reach 25000 USD is not impossible but most probably not this 2018 no one can tell when not even the bitcoin experts. But all bitcoiners will be delighted if that will come.

Yes,Bitcoin will reach $ 25000.Bitcoin 25000 $ is not the greatest target.Very easy 25k will be achieved.Middle of this year will reach a simple target of 25k.The price goes up and continues.This year will surely reach at least 45k.
