Good day everyone.I sold all my altcoins and btc for fiat and i have 2800$ at the moment.
My question is : Is it worth investing for 2-3 months in 2-3 altcoins or i better split my money and use like 1400$ for intraday trading top volume coins for small profits?
If investing i am thinking:Neo,OMG,Lisk but no idea what will happen right now to the price due to bitcoins rise.In case BTC crashes it will grab the alts down with it as it happened from 5k to 3k.
Would be glad to hear opinions.

Good picks, especially for a short 2-3 month period. However, i'd swap out Lisk for something else. Probably Ethereum. Don't worry about BTC pumping. It's already pumped $1000 in a span of 2 days. Anything more would be slightly unlikely.

this makes no sense. if you buy btc or eth thats worth 100$, you will be able to buy other tokens that are worth 100$ currently. your logic is flawed.

If you look at the candlestick chart only, I think there is no sign of declining in the short term whether it is BTC or BCH or eth, which is only a personal opinion.
So, I think if you choose to invest in ALTCOIN, if you really can not pick the altcoin, may wish to choose a good ICO, often more profitable new ICO project.

Oh,i turned my brain off on this moment.If I spend 500$ for 1 ETH and want to buy an altcoin right now i'll still buy that alt worth of 500$.I got you )

From my experience i am giving u advice that , invest in 50% btc , others good ico.

Dont invest ongoing projects now. If you need a return of 5-10x , you should invest in ico. Please research about ico before investing.

Bitcoin price is too high right now, i suggest you invest in altcoins like Ethereum or Bcash or ripple.

You are aiming at some of the highest valued coins today and you are also investing it for short term only which also guarantees you to earn even just 20 to 30% of the initial.

I agree, btc and ethereum are best, price are very competitive in the exchange. OP must add ethereum in the list these are the top choice of most users. I am sure on ethereum could give a huge profit in the future.

I don't want to baghold it for long.A few months is the maximum i want to hold and buying BTC at ATH is not a smart move at all.Eth also rallied from 300 to 490 and i won't buy it also just to hold,maybe to trade it for other alts.

So i still look for 2-3 alts to buy but can't decide which ones.Will keep researching

I believe it is sensible to divide your investment. If I was in your shoe, I will go with $2300 investment between Bitcoin/Ethereum/Dash and rest $500 on the upcoming ICOs. It will keep your investment safe yet will give you sufficient growth as well.

Although, there are MANY options worth trying. I am right now looking at Aut0 (http://aut0.io/); it’s a very solid concept that is decentralizing autonomous driving. With 3-4 weeks before their token sales, so certainly very solid opportunity coming up.

Please stay away from extremely cheap and useless altcoins. The ones you counted there are the great ones to buy, like NEO, OMG etc.

If you trust ethereum, you can buy eth too. With $2800, you can make $1400 profit from etereum if it undergoes a bull market.

I think you have made really clever move, all crypto are pumping like crazy in last few months and we used to have correction/profit taking during Christmas every-year. So its better you wait till coming Christmas and if there will be dump like expected you can buy almost all coin at very low price.

If you really want to invest in altcoins for long time,you need to do some serious research we have different point of view and taste for picking up good alts.

of course, it is worth to invest for 2-3 months in 2-3 altcoins because we never know when the price will increase and if we have 2-3 potential altcoins then we can wait the price is increase back. if you have $2800 then you need to buy bitcoin for a half ($1400) and save it into your other wallet and you can use the other to buy neo, omg, lisk but I guess you need to wait until the price is down again so you can buy at cheap price. but if you want to buy right now, then its not a problem and you can wait until the price increases again.

You are better off with long term holding. No reason to chase. But coins that will grow quick and soon are deeponion and Ardor. Both have low market caps still and will be huge very soon. Get in now if you can.

Problem is will you know when bitcoin price will drop?
All we can do is risk our money in altcoins thinking something good will happen with them even if bitcoin price is going way up.
It is possible but only with the good coins which can also go with the pump. Remember, not all altcoins are bloody red when bitcoin is up.
Look at ETH now.

I'd at least invest half into long term coins and HODL for many years. The rest you can treat as short-mid term coins and trade on the price swings. I wouldn't do it with your whole portfolio, too easy to mess up and lose a massive amount of $$$.

I see what ETH is doing right now but remember,since btc started the bull run from the correction in  august,ETH has been moving like a snail and only a few months later it pumped 50% :).I took the decision to stay away for now and watch for a few days what is happening.I hope i'll catch cheaper alts if not,i'll go back to bitmex and margin trade :D screw it

Pick alts that prices ranges less than a dollar,hold and wait it to go pump.

Not a good advice mate ))  there are hundreds of such coins that just got stuck for more than 10 months or got dumped and never recovered.

You are seeing bitcoin like this bull movement this year but last year bitcoin price does not show any move like we see this year. Even It is same like ethereum how it was moving in the price chart.
Have ethereum as much you can now. I think ethereum will be bump like how we see the bitcoin price right now.
However, your growth will be there for sure but will not like bitcoin bullish run.

I can't suggest you any longer since you know what to do and your picks are also good. NEO, OMG and LISK and you'll say that you have no idea? Come on mate, you are doing the right thing and what you just need to now is wait until the price of bitcoin go down. Like what many are expecting, the same drops will be followed after the quick price surge of bitcoin.

The coins you picked are strong coins and would grow nicely in the coming months for sure. but on the intraday trading part, I would suggest you not to do it if you are not that experienced trader because mostly you will lose money in day trading.
Try to grab some coins which are new like came out of Ico and research on them. that is where you can make some quick short-term gains.

If you feel confident in day trading then I like the idea of splitting your funds across the two. I also like your breakdown of alts, perhaps you could add one or two more if you want to limit your risk by increasing diversity. BTC crashing could definitely drag alts down with if that is your concern then you probably just shouldn't invest at all because it would take a meteoric fall in BTC.

good day my friend you posses a respectful amount of money there so you need to invest it wisely my advice to you my friend to buy with its half a bitcoin amount and with the other half a mount of altcoins that are elected to gain some growth in the next months to come like electroneum iota.

Fold long term hold : ETH or BTC are my favorite  :)
If it's only for hold few month then take a look a Walton or NEO, good project with good team!

Etherium is the best one to invest in atm, I think it will skyrocket to around $1000 and more early 2018, as it will follow bitcoin. If you are looking at other small alt coins I say Stratis! as they have new updates coming and is a promising coin.

Bitcoin/ETH are always good to keep in your portfolio, but from a pure altcoin POV my biggest personal bets are in WAVES/SONM/STRAT/ARK. I have full confidence each one of these is at min 3X in 2018.

From reading other threads there seems to be big support for Ripple, Stratis and IOTA (the news today is certainly interesting) with a company like Microsoft getting involved with making a publicly accessible marketplace things could become interesting for IOTA.

For me! If you want to invest with large profits! You need trading altcoin and token! BTC is verry attractive but price too hight, so you have lower profit percent!

Nice picks by the way, i think you should switch lisk to SOMN,IOTA and ETH since somn have a potential to rise 2x or 3x and IOTA from what i read from the news websites, big companies like microsoft will support IOTA so it will a huge price boost for IOTA also for ethereum holders are now celebrating since the price of ether boosted and also it will be good to add ETH in your portfolio.

How experienced are you in daytrading? If you're not already an expert, you're more likely than not end up losing a big chunk of your portfolio by trying to time the market.

If i were you i'd pick a few altcoins and hold those until you're ready to sell for a profit (and then reevaluate if you wanna keep investing in alts or go back to bitcoin).

You can onvest in etherium ,with that money of yours there are many good coins to invest. You have just do some research and reviews in the good coins you want to invest. But my first choice is the etherium because now etherium is slowly rises its value , and you can also invest in your said coins neo , omg those coins are also good. And i think that you can gained more profit with those coins of your choice.

There is a sense in your words. Today everybody is so enthusiastic about the jump of Bitcoin that all forgot that really big BTC holders can do the tick and it will be its dump, when altcoins will also change their price sufficiently. I’s better buy Ethereum and think about NEO.

I think that you could buy a few QSP tokens.
This is a promising infrastructure project with a large community (18k + participants in the official telegram chat). A partnership with NEO was recently announced. Also, holders will receive many ICO project tokens that will be audited on the Quantantamp platform.
From other interesting projects I can look at the sides of Lamden and Cartaxi (now its cheap to buy).

It seems clear to me that you are new to the crypto world. It all depends on what you want. Do you want to day trade cryptocurrencies or do you want Invest? If you want to trade crypto daily, that will need you to fair knowledge on trading, If not you may really loss all your money. If you want to invest for 2-3 months, do a self research, find coins with technologies you understand and believe in. Follow the coins community, look at their road maps, etc before you invest in. There is no need to invest in a lot of coins because that's similar to gambling. Only invest in coins you have done a good research on. Because there are a lot of pump and damp in the altcoin market.

Patience is also Key, don't invest today and be checking the price of the coins you have invested in every hour.

Do your own due diligence because some people in this forum will name a lot of coins as good investment for you in invest in just because they hold those coins themselves.

I second to that. I am not always comfortable with altcoins that gets hugely pumped in the market and then crash back so bad later on without at least maintaining some good support level. For trading though, it is not bad and to hold some coins like this, I would rather just trade them first and make use of the profit to buy back later on at dips.

However, the other ones are good picks and I am sure the Alt market is really going to grow bigger than it is right now later on in coming years.

I think now would be the right time to put your money into ETH. While bitcoin have been very volatile all this time, etherium has been showing signs of stability with USD pair and also now showing bullish signs in bitcoin pair.

I would personally grab all(not 1400$) and split it in 6 altcoins and do daily trade, you know, regular buy low sell high.

I think you should buy neo or omg in Bittrex. You can trading it with USD pairs and dont need to worry about bitcoin price.

I think the best option is to buy and hold ethereum if you can wait for long term. Also you may split it into Dashcoin and Litecoin.. Ethereum is expected yo grow like bitcoin in near future..

700 usd in btc, 700 usd in eth, 700 usd in hedge token $HDG, and 700 usd in Hive $HVN.

This is a pretty good sum of money to spread it for the most perspective altcoins. For sure you have to spend at least 20% of this sum to buy Ethereum, and about 15% — to NEO. Do not forget Ripple – spend about 10% for it as well as for DASH. Ethereum Classic can give you fast benefit in the middle of December (hope).

How about Amor (amorcoin.org)? Their concept of decentralising the dating industry sounds very solid and they have a good chance of mooning. I think that they just started their crowdsale and they also have a limited 20% bonus discount which might end soon.

Hey, i'm a real newbie in cryptocurrencies, but i am interested in buying some coins.

The prices seems really high at the moment, should i still buy right now or wait and hope for price drops?

Thinking about starting with about 1000 dollars, was thinking about ethereum, litecoin and waves.. any other suggestions for a low budget of about 1000 dollars?

my advice is better on btc course because there I think more guaranteed and certainly in the investment, let alone you will invest in the long term I am sure will be more profits that you will get.

Coins you counted, omisego lisk and neo are great coins for long term investments. I can safely suggest them. Also you can invest dash, stratis and monero my friend.

Will count on this as on a good suggestion. Generally all the "good altcoins" are equally prices today and move more that 10% of the fund to the ICO is risky. Imao you can still byte from growing market of coins staying in BTC also you can benefit from many ICO staying in ETH - 'cause their tokens deployed in Ethereum ecosystem.

Come on! Big BTC holders are not so dumb to do that. You think it is a small thing holding for all these years and then just coming to the market with a lot of future prospects and then start dumping to crash the market. Even if they do, for how long is it going to take before the market recovers and those who see it as a chance to buy lower will grab it away from them, and to me that absolutely ends up being their loss!

Investment in NEO, OMG and LISK is a very good one and promising I can recommend and investment in Ardor then hold for a while you will surely get profit from it

I think that LISK and NEO  is good pick for short, but I advice you buy some DASH and ETH. And you can invest some in BTC, of course, 20k$ is real for first half 2018. Good luck! And good mind, of course

I would divide the money. Be sure to buy bitcoin. Buy a few altcoyins. You can try to trade, but it's risky. You must first learn how to trade.
