Title: What blockchain events do you visit?
Post by: aleksandra_kickcity on November 30, 2017, 10:45:35 AM
Hello!

It is cool we have a chance to talk online. But it is also important to meet each other offline. Do you visit any events?

For example, recently, KickCity team visited Blockchain Solution Forum in Barcelona. Now we are visiting BlockShow in Singapore and the other part of the team is going to Slush in Helsinki (does anybody will go?)

And what about you? What events do you visit or plan to visit?

Hello! Great for KickCity team!

I am going to CryptoSpace in Moscow, guess it will be huge. We also were at Blockchain Solutions Forum in Barcelona, that was awesome!

Maybe we have a chance to meet in person at some event  ;)

If you can broaden your definition to local weekly Bitcoin meetups, then I will mention that. We arranged for a local bar to

accept Bitcoin as a payment option for all drinks and snacks during our Bitcoin meetups on weekends and it has been very

successful so far. The owner of the bar is considering accepting Bitcoin, but the delay in tx confirmation is hampering his

decision to do that. We pay in advance {building a tab} and receive credit for the next meeting from the balance.

{so tx confirmation time, does not have a influence on us}  ;D

I would like to go in a future event that involve Cryptocurrency in it, but if its only exclusive in my country and had free token, rewards or raffle, for the people that went there, I really think these kinds of events can make other people aware that there is bitcoin or cryptocurrency that they can count on to earn with investing, trading, and getting free Satoshi, or tokens.

I noticed big increase of blockchain conferences in my country. I would like to participate in these events, but I have little problem - it's lack of time. All of these events aren't organized in my city. So, Iwould need to dedicate whole day if I want to participate in that event. But at least, I'm trying to watch livestreams of these conferences.
Also, I noticed there are much more events now, where not very clean business are advertised - cloud mining companies, shady ICO's, scam coins like Platincoin. By organizing such events, these companies can get more solid image in eyes of their investors.

I'm planning on going to CoinfestUK in April 2018, Manchester isn't too far from where I live, so travel time will be minimal.
If there are any conferences in The Netherlands, I would go as well, but I don't think there are any on the schedule currently.

I do meet up with some people on a monthly basis to talk about crypto in general, but I woudn't call that an event, more like a small meetup and it isn't public.

It's hard to find meetups/events that are near me. I currently spend most of my months in Iceland because I'm working there. There isn't any events about Bitcoin up here. I've considered visiting England and maybe looking for some events which are taking place.

I've heard of a few which have taken place there. I've also heard of Edinburgh in Scotland having a yearly event in which they present Bitcoin and have any related discussion on it. Maybe next year I'll consider looking at how much it would cost to actually travel there and get accommodation and whether the events are 100% public or you need to reserve etc.

The correlation of the bitcoin price with the exchange rate is directly proportional. For the stability of bitcoin prices, the stability of the world economy is also needed.

I really wanted to attend those blockchain events but the sad truth is that it was always held either in Europe or in Western Countries. Having to attend such a wonderful activity will really make me feel happy. If only I have more bitcoins to spend so I can go to the next blockchain event but somehow my bitcoin is just enough to spend for my family's needs. Hope the next blockchain activity will be held in our country.

Good luck with your development Kick_city team. It will be interesting to see more projects like yours on Slush, because this conference is more oriented on non-crypto involved people. I remember, that there are many different interesting start-ups and most of them are from game industry. Crypto meetings are interesting, but too expensive. Usually, it costs more than $500 per ticket!

it is very expensive, you are right. however, it help a lot with busines. it's like investing in yourself

There are events all over the world. I am attending a crypto conference this week, for example. If you look around, you will be able to find conferences or meetups near you, as well as pitch events where people who have created altcoins may be pitching their idea. All of these events are great for meeting fellow crypto enthusiasts. If you can't find an event in your region, you can always try to create your own if you know others in your geogrpahic region or who are willing to travel!

I have visited one blockchain event but I forgot who are organizers because I'm excited about the event and how many people are really interested about blockchain and bitcoin.

It was a quick overview for newbies about bitcoin, blockchain and a sort of project that they have been building but I forgot that project since I'm only there for bitcoin and blockchain.

I was upset about how they deliver and educate people because there were experts who attended and they can't even answer formally. I only liked the foods and giveaway.  :P

This event was held in our country few months ago.

True it's important to meet in the real life to share knowledge and thoughts directly and not only stick to the virtual world chat. Personally, I went to a local seminar about 'the horizons of the blockchain technology' and I was amazed by the knowledge gap between myself and many peoples and it was very beneficial, also, I was thinking about going to CryptoCon in Amsterdam but unfortunately, it was canceled due to lack of interest in booths at the exhibition and key partnerships.

Day by day the cryptocurrency ecosystem is growing in response to emerging blockchain solutions, mining projects and ICOs. This positively influences the market dynamics for cryptocurrencies and contributes to the development of Tokenomics (a new form of economy).
Blockchain International Show London is a two-day event where the top-level experts will meet and share their knowledge about financial and regulatory concerns, development trends and evolution of ICOs.

In 2017, I visited an event related to blockchain and  cryptocurrency. The event gave me a lot of things, surely the understanding of blockchain and cryptocurrency grew. And the conference was named 'Blackarrow’s Blockchain Technology & Cryptocurrency Conference'. There were 6 people who provide an understanding of the technology, one of them is Thomas France Co-founder of Ledger. Blockchain and cryptocurrency will continue to grow, so as need an education on the technology at least provide a basic understanding of the functions that can be utilized in the future.

A lot of Blockchain events, but the most interesting following the speakers' speaches  was d10e Conference in Lithuania. Lots of nice platforms where there, like Bitcoinus, for example or some Welltrado, winning the ICO competition. Friendly and open-for conversation teams :)
Be honest,I wasn't sure on my investment (as Lithuania is quite new country for me) before that conference, but after - i bought more tokens even 8)

I have not been to a blockchain event yet, but I would love to, for me to learn more of it. I think they must use social media to broadcast it for the sake of the people who can not attend it due to the distance and other instances.

Sadly I've never been to a blockchain event. I would really like to but there are only a few of these events organized here. Most of the time it's also held quite far from my place. Another problem is that there aren't many blockchain experts here. The last time there was a decent speaker was "Bitcoins in Bali Meetup" by Andreas Antonopoulos July last year. I'm planning to attend one within the next two years.

It is interesting to be able to visit the blockchain event and it is very helpful and insightful. This activity has a very positive impact and if there are any more activities the participants' enthusiasm must be amazing.

I attended the blockchain meeting in Minsk, he came from Europe.
I liked everything incredibly, was at the stand of one project, talked to the administration of the game I have been playing for over two years.
In short, these meetings are awesome.

I can't wait to be part of such amazing blockchain meet-ups. The issue has been that there hasn't be any meeting in my part of the world and this is the issue some crypto enthusiasts are facing. It would be nice to meet  some great minds who are knowledgeable in blockchain technology.

It is unfortunate that these interesting events are not happening close to you or in your country. Sometimes we don't need to travel faraway from our countries to enjoy these kind of meetings. We can also try and organise meetups with our friends to discuss interesting issues in blockchain technology.
