I think not. Eth price rise is currently depending on a Bitcoin and generally market value growth.

Where are you come from? The average price for each ethereum token in this time was around $440 that means there is a lot of gap with your price. may be you are seeing it on the speculation thread.
I will believe at the end of the 2018 each ethereum will be equal with the bitcoin cash price due to the POS system.

yes definitely  Ether will be 1000$ in next 6 months , this is the reason- Ethereum is an open software platform based on blockchain technology that enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications.And now a days you can see many many ICO coming with Ehereum platform.And technically Ether made a huge break out at $350 level and its now trading at 445+ level, You have seen Ether rose more that 25% in last 10 days. And the other side Bitcoin is making new and new highs so investor will go to buy Ether as well, so I will not surprise if Ether will triple from here.

Ethereum price will explode with a succesfull POS (Proof of Stake) implementation. Yearly inflation will be capped at 2-3% and you earn an interest staking your ETH.

Ethereum may reach $1000 by next year, definitely not January. Maybe mid next year. Reason? Other Ethereum-like platforms are developing fast. Waves is one which I see as a strong contender with ethereum. With the rapid increase in Waves' development, Ethereum will have to watch it's back.

Well a large majority of them use ethereums platform and blockchain to launch and run their coins so that's how eth fits in. The more ERC20 coins the better for ethereum and there doesn't seem to be any slowdown in the number of those coins.

We dont know what etheruem will be price on the market. But i think etheruem will gives us a bright future. Depends on the user how they trade there tokens. On the incoming year etheruem reach the $1000 price on the market

You see it at $440 in the news, by the time you open your mobile phone at home to post on this forum it has jumped or fallen 15% and you never knew. There is a possibility that we may see ethereum's price go up in the future, it may not reach crazy numbers like bitcoin but defiently it is on the right track, for me ethereum has been the best alternative cryptocurrency after bitcoin, not only does ethereum has started rising up so it makes for a good investment in the future, but it has some really new ideas to bring to the table, not like the other altcoins that are just trying to be a copy of bitcoin, ethereum allows project developers and people with ideas to create thier own tokens and to sell them to get kickstarters on thier project, and this idea has been so popular that this forum has been blowing up with ICO starting up and airdrops, and this lead to the number using etherum rising up wich is starting to affezct the price, so ethereum has a bright future ahead of it.

With the stabilizing price of bitcoin, etherium has begun rising in value. Ofcourse in terms of USD it had risen because of the rise in value of bitcoin, but now the ethbtc pair is also looking great and i think the next leg has begun.

sooner or later eth will reach $1000. That Ico hype about ethereum is more or less over and it starts too rise its price because of its real tech.

May be the rate will stretch upto 600USD but not more than that yet. But again I always add that crypto market is very very uncertain and if Mr. Vitalik thought then he could just drive this coin upto the moon and behind the bitcoin. Ethereum is one of the few crypto currencies that do actually have a purpose and a reason. That's why I strongly believe that it has a bright future and will totally prosper. As it's not like a lot of other currencies that exist just for trading BUT it actually has a use. I'm of course talking about the amazing smart contract system that it introduced. It literally has so much to offer.

But the time hasn't come yet. In my opinion, it's totally undervalued right now and its price should be way more than it is. It's a great unique currency with low transaction fees and extremely quick network speed (talking about the time until a transaction gets confirmed) when compared with many rivals or potential competitors.

It will go on increasing as its market value is giving a great hike to its price day by day. So for investors it is a great news and it will give a lot of profit in the coming future. Ethereum is most importantly giving a great opportunity to the investors.

All the coins are behaving in the same manner as that of bitcoin. If the BTC is going up then the Ether or any other top alts are going up. Thats very keen observation I have been doing and I would like to know your thoughts guys. So we can speculate ether being equal to 1K if the bitcoin is all upto 15K first or may be more.

I certainly think that 2018 will be a major year for Ethereum.  I think the price will probably exceed the 1K mark by next year considering that most new Tokenized projects are built on the Ethereum blockchain therefore making it by the far the most useful at the moment.  I personally think that its undervalued at the moment but i see value increasing very high in the next year.

I think it is quite difficult for ETH to reach that value for next year because judging of this year performance still it is relying to BTC that even how many or how much ETH that we keep still it will trade it to BTC for local paper money or fiat and as you can see BTC value trend is fast rising than ETH that for sure most investors will choose to keep BTC than ETH. there is some info that I found, but either the info is correct or just a hoax only. that in the long term, the price of ethereum can penetrate 0.18 - 0.20 BTC / ETH. logically, quite plausibly, because now the highest price of ethereum ever touches 0.14 BTC / ETH.

There are many rumors I heard abouot in ethereum, There are some said that ethereum will surpass the value of bitcoin by next year, and I don't what is there basis but this was according to the projection of the bitcoin experts in accordance to them. Well if the happen, I'm not againts with it, besides ethereum was a good investment and assets to invest in also.

1.With the release of Proof of Stake - we are limiting the total coin pool inflation to only x% (likely single digits) per year.
2.Adoption. Currently, the ETH Enterprise Alliance features very big perspective players - but they're not going all in for one reason, right now, the operating cost is not the most sustainable due to the high fees miners (needed to run the network) have to pay for electricity and the proportional compensation that they then have to get from the network. Releasing PoS, we eliminate the need for mining, making the system: A. Inexpensive to operate, B. Improved operational capacity (through new innovative tech advance over the current consensus algorithm.) This means, we will have several elements at play here: i. Adoption, ii. Speculative Agitation, iii. Resulting Market Interest.

So, TLDR: Limited Supply (Lower), Far more Demand (Higher). What happens when Demand overtakes Supply? That I'll let you answer for yourself.

It does has so many smart contracts that probably the price may be shooted to the moon before the end of the year, I don't think is it going to hit 1k soon.
I see it goin up to 800$ and drop below 700$ to stand there til a real good project that accept eth arrives, that what make the price of ETH fluctate that much.

Actually the coins are created with the ethereum platform always looks for best move in the marketplace supply and price growth. But recent days we are finding the some dump in the chart along with the bitcoin.
Bitcoin is being used long time when compare with ethereum. I think in some months you will find the expected growth in the eth price chart.

I would say it could be possible. ETH has been pretty much waiting to explode for a while now but it seems like that it is struggling to break the 0.05 BTC mark. Once it does though i can see it going another ATH or even beyond.

Though january may be a bit too early, i'd say for safety, end february or even march would make more sense.

By then though, i'd expect BTC to be at $15k anyways.

ETH is bound to rise, but not as much as you say, and I think there should be about a 50 percent increase in the next year, not 100 percent.

I don't think ETH's price will reach 1000 USD on or before January ends. With its sluggish price hike after it pumped for almost 500 USD, it's quite hard for this alternate coin to reach that height.

What a joke? Ethereum is not a serious problem to the bitcoin caused by the ethereum is not in compete about the mass adoption with the bitcoin. Please you cna give me some reason how ethereum will reach or even break $10k barrier in the future, it senseless at all. How the scalability issue needs to be fixed through another hardfork to make dapps runs perfectly.
And i'm not sure about your algory project which have reached small interest.

ETH is fast growing it is after the bitcoin the second currency after the bitcoin the future is good we can say that now there are a lot of users of this but up to now the people are using it for investment purposes only they just buy them and then sold it after sometime. ETH will move ahead in the nest year 2018. i personally want to collect and hold enough amount of altcoin like ETH etc for future.

If ETH devs solve a problem with speed of transactions - it 100% will be positive for ETH price. But even if they dont - the price will go up when Vitalik will do an hardfork.

I think the price of ethereum is still low because the price of ethereum is also high at 1-10-7 but now its price is returning and the price is lowered because most of them also use ethereum to use them ethereum in the exchange they get token with bounty and ico campaign or airdrops because they also like ethereum.

ETH is such a great coin with lots of utility, I see it as seriously undervalued at the moment. With the current dip Ive loaded up a number of times. I see it tracking along with the BTC price - you can only speculate on future prices however I would guess between 3&4k by the end of 2018... happy to be proved wrong by a much larger valutation though all depends on CRYPTO adoption moving
