A little nervous. Last night I bought 600 shares of IOTA which went up significantly today. I logged back in to move them off the Binance exchange and it is telling me that my withdraws are suspended due to "network congestion." I also have a small balance of ETH that has the same message.

They might be having some issues. I'm using binance for months without any issues other than occasional suspension of withdraw or deposit or both. Though I haven't logged in for a few days, I would vouch for the exchange to be one of the most professional one. (Other exchanges have way more issues)

Binance is fine as an exchange.
But you can also call it pump & dump manipulator.

Binance is a very good game, likelihood binance can be a serious rival for bittrex, there is no reason to say binance SCAM.
Bittrex is much more severe than binance, now most accounts can not withdraw

They are not scam, I'm also using it for quite a while now and before I use it i also ask someone if this trading site was legit. I think they currently have problems in withdrawal on some of the token/coins. Like for example ETH, but now ETH issue with regards to withdrawal is already fixed and you can already withdraw your funds.

Don't get panic easily maybe there so many withdrawal request happening when you execute your withdrawals on binance and just try to withdraw again later or maybe tomorrow to see if that problem still occur, And also try to grab some support answer so that you can get an idea on why that error occurs when you try to withdraw your tokens.

Good to hear peoples opinions and experiences in Binance. I am also planning to move some of my funds or perhaps if it is better I will relocate my main trades there. Hoping Binance will continue to add fundamentally strong coins at fast pace so we can have more options.

It’s common with all the exchanges I am using etherdelta which was down for 2 days , hitbtc it had issue with usdt for 2 or more days even most of the exchanges I used I faced this kind of small technical glitch everywhere binance is most reputed exchange no worries.

I use mainly Kraken and Binance. Binance has never let me down, not even when BTC spiked over 10k the first time and there was lot of congestion in the networks. Kraken on the other hand.. But Binance is not a scam, it has served me very well during last few months.

I haven't had any trouble with Binance before. But I haven't traded IOTA. I've read about other traders having issues withdrawing IOTA on Binance but it's likely a temporary issue.

It appears that the whole site is down. I'm getting a 504 Gateway Time-out message for it

Hello, is anyone else experiencing very slow deposit times for Binance? I moved some ETH there and usually I can track the verification on my account but this time, I see absolutely nothing.

I've used Binance for few months and never had any issues. Then it is true that since a week it is not possible to withdraw IOTA due to some network issue

They are good and reliable. That maintenance was far schedule and was just a mere coincidence.

Does small issues make Binance a scam? Certainly not.
Binance is one of the best exchanges out there. Just had some problems with two-factor authentication which would not allow me to withdraw but this was fixed promptly.

There was update going that why you might have faced transaction difficulty,it is already announced through social media.binance is one of the best exchange and future competitor to bittrex.it has app functionality which is quite rare in exchanges.they hold competition + there is bnb token which give you 50% off in fees.

I really appreciate that, I think OP is too panic and does not know how an Exchanger works. Even saying a scam, that's a bad and careless decision.
Let's wait for Binance to deal with this problem.

Binance is no scam at all - I've used this exchange since its launch and never encountered any problems. The ETH network is really congested at the moment, yesterday they got around 15,000 pending transactions. Maybe that is the reason for your problem. I dont know about IOTA withdrawal though, as IOTA has nothing to do with the Ethereum blockchain, this must have another reason. I actually just remembered that I had a similar problem once with QTUM, I couldnt withdraw after the purchase, but the next day it worked fine.

Haven't had any problems at binance whatsoever. And maintenance applies to everybody of course.

I agree with you I use binance for a couple of month I dont see any problem for withdrawal/deposite btc/coins but the sad really a lot of pump/dump user are in this site.
I like the platform of binance with a good graphic and friendly mobile use the market volume  in this exchange site are also high its one of the trusted exchange site that I use.

most of these sites stop account for unknown reasons just read scam forum and will find trusted sites stop accounts with no reasons.

I don't think this is a case of locked account. From time to time there is congestion in different networks and withdrawals are suspended for certain period of time.

though there is a rumor that any coin can list on binance only if you spend enough money, i think there are some good coin on binance, no matter how, you can gain profits on binance

Oh my! I have not used Binance ever since. I prefer my choices of crypto currency exchange such as Bittrex, Poloniex, and Cryptopia. But I guess that is just a normal glitch in times of very heavy traffic, although of course Binance needs to address that because regular recurrence of such problem will surely cause a backlash of support. And considering also the fact that Binance has just started to make a name as an exchange platform.

No of course binance is very safe and high cap exchange. I think problem is about transactions as cryptomarkets are very active in last week or two. You can try later maybe?

I don't think Binance is a scam exchange but it's making me really nervous. I sent a deposit of Ethereum from Cryptopia to Binance yesterday morning (almost 24 hours ago). This is my third Ethereum transfer from Cryptopia to Binance in the past week so I know the drill.

1) There is no sign of my transfer, even pending, on Binance

2) Bizarrely enough, my transfer history on Binance shows only one completed transaction. There should be two completed transactions and one pending one.

Even if I can explain the slow transfer on the clogged up blockchain, what explanation is there for an entire missing (completed) transaction in the transfer history?

Binance can be trusted your withdrawal might got stucked because of huge congestion on ETH network which is normal to have during lots of ICO running simultaneously.

Just wait for some time it will be processed, alternatively you can sell them and request withdrawal in bitcoin or other coins than ETH or token it self.

As you can see from the previous comments your coins will be safe at binance. You should try kucoin exchange also, it is run by friends of the binance owner and has a few different coins/tokens that are not on binance like rpx ( red pulse ). I was moving some ctr off binance at about the same time you posted this thread and it was a little slow so it was probably related to the same problem. That ethereum kitten game is causing havoc everywhere right now anyways.

If you feel something is not normal for you then you should more carefull as there are many ICO attempt to scam recently.

i been invest in binance for 3 month andi think its good. i never experienced the problem as you did. i think its just some error that happening. maybe they got some security error that make you can't doing trade.

You did not buy CMT so all right, the rest are small things, I suggest you wait for a second check so do not hurry anything to determine that the platform has a problem, have to wait, sometimes it may really be a network problem , Or platform problems, but not for this reason you can not mention bills to arrive.

Binance is one of the best in the cryptosphere, whatever message you are getting might just be as a result of network congestion nothing to worry about. You also got to remember this crypto game is massive to all exchanges for them to handle the number of transactions taking place as a result of FOMO is epic.

Yes, I agree with everyone who says that Binance is a good exchange. I had some issues with my ETH transfer and contacted Binance support. Even though they must have been overwhelmed with similar problems from other users, their response was quick, clear and reassuring. And yes, my transfer made it through eventually. (I do realise that this wasn't the fault of the exchange, in this case).

These are all problems with transactions and ETH is not it because of this game called CryptoKitties, ??? It gained popularity thereby creating not stable work and failures.

They are actually one of the best exchanges you could find out there. I would personally prefer binance over bittrex / bitfinex.

Binance has been a good exchange and you may really need to relax and if they tell you the network is congested, then it is really congested. It seems the ETH network has been congested for some days now anyway which is even affecting EtherDelta now. This has been as a result of huge level of transactions going on than it can handle..

I have been using Binance for a while now without issues. There is really no point for the OP panicking as he will end up getting his funds out of there eventually anyway. There is a lot of congestion that has been on the ETH network for some days now and I am sure that is one of the reasons they are concerned. So, it is better to just chill out and allow the congestion to die down but he will surely get his funds.

Binnace is one of the biggest exchanges in this world. They sometimes have some problems but its the safest place for me.

I use it pretty often and I don't think it's a scam. There could be some tech issues, try to wait a little. It's pretty hard and tense time due to the problems in Ehereum network and the pump of bitcoin.

I haven't had any problems with Binance as well, I especially like their Android app. Since a lot of other users in this thread are expressing similar opinions as well, I think they are reliable and are doing a good job offering a bunch of altcoins.

Binance is not a scam. Funding completed quickly, about half hour or so. Trading is always smooth. Withdrawals are completed quickly too, so far within an hour.

BINANCE so far is a reputable exchange and in times of heavy network congestion, you will get this message, not only on Binance exchange but on many other exchanges as well. I couldn't withdraw erc20 tokens form one exchange for days because of the Cryptokitties Ethereum pipe blocker lol. I would give you a word of advice though. Don't tend to keep your coins on exchanges unless you want to trade them. Just keep on the exchange coins for trading, buying, selling etc, then move them to your wallets.  :)

I have had no problems personally but I think everything that has been happening in the past week has been pretty concerning and they are making no effort to communicate with their English base. Like this new coin they are adding, ELT. A one sentence description and a 100 billion coins in circulation, wow sign me up, especially after watching every other Chinese coin you added this week drop 50% in value without any signs of recovery or volume. They should at least have someone bother to attempt a translation of the white paper, or give us some sort of information as the current value on other exchanges and market cap. Same goes for the ICO's, like I said there is no information on these things and it seems that Binance only handles a portion of the volume of them. I do not have enough faith that these Chinese coins we have no information on are not dealing the same coins at a lower price through their own ICO on a Chinese website. There is no transparency at all to these things in an already highly manipulated market and at first I thought Binance itself was trustworthy enough due to all the influence and money behind it but these forces could have gathered together to run these type or cons together since there really isn't any regulations saying they can't.

Deposited and withdrawn several different coins, small and medium amounts. Never had a problem.

I've tried it yesterday and all went smoothly. the binance takes the decision to increase the fees to make the users feel convenience. Rather than polo and how a lot of the poloniex's volume goes to the binance exchange, because a lot of polo users having problems with polo team.

Binance is OK exchanger.One of the best out there and they are growing and getting better.

Cryptocurrency exchange would always experience some sort of technical issues even with operational hours, it's unlikely for them to shut down the network so the main problem would always lie on withdraw issues, i personally had been using Binance since its launch and i experienced some of your problems too, but i have no choice but just wait and they would usually resolve in fairly short amount of hours because i believe lots of people are same like you to complain through their support team.

don't worry Binance is not scam. Binance is good exchange after bittrex and poloniex and I don't have any problem when use binance. if you have problem you can contact their support is professional and responsive

Binance is very good exchange. I have reported few cases to their support and response has been lightning fast. They are constantly improving the UI, added stop-loss orders and made several small improvements.

If you want to test drive the worst, try Kraken. Or actually don't. Would not recommend to my worst enemies, if I had any. They don't even respond to support requests and you're not able to navigate to withdrawal page 19 out of 20 tries. I tried two weeks to withdraw my last coins from there, finally succeeded yesterday. Transferred them to Binance for trading.

I guess I would have to join binance if I want to get some iota too, so it is fine to get as many reviess as possible of this exchange.

Binance is not scam, infact they are a great new exchange with nice interface and high volume. It's not binance fault that ethereum network is congested some days ago, almost everyone have the same problem. I've never have problem so far in binance, everything about it is good for me.

Don't panic. As far as I know delays are normal on exchangers like Binance. I haven't use Binance yet but when I deposited my BTC on Bittrex, it took a few hours before my funds appeared on the platform. Just be patient.

Binance is one of the best exchanges that I have used so far. I've never had any issues transferring to wallets there or sending funds to my own wallet.
Best to open a support ticket and follow-up the incident.

Network congestion like what sometimes happen on Ethereum and Neo is not an exchanges problem. So far I didn't hear any of my friends complaining about Binance. I am waiting to for my verification so I can start depositing some bitcoins to trade. Binance is now the number 1 exchange in the world so hop in guys.  ;D

Binance has been having issues with their network and recently have even restricted new members. Lets hope they are able to get their acts together and fix the issue

These are network issues and have nothing to do with the exchange. It is not just iota but also ada and a few others at the moment

Binance is not a scam, been using it for months and i did not encounter any problem with it. Maybe it just that IOTA's pump hard and binance is in traffic that they cant update the latest price for it, but be patient and wait and it will be fixed.

However, they have network issues because the volume is so high on the website.
So coins that are surging have typically had issues with withdrawal.
With so many people trying to withdraw at the same time, it clogs up the automatic processing, not to mention when it finally gets sent to the network.

For IOTA, that's a different story though.
They have had issues with it from the beginning and it is a tech problem.
IOTA doesn't use blockchain tech, it uses the tangle.
So if an exchange lists IOTA, they have to have a seperate branch of code that handles IOTA.
On top of that, the IOTA wallet itself has had issues, especially if you have made various transfers of IOTA previously as you need to reattach everything back to the tangle.

I would say, just be patient.
It is annoying, but all major exchanges have server issues when there is so much volume.
Enable 2FA and your coins will be secure.

Binance isn't a scam for sure. Their servers are probably overloaded because of the amount of people registering every day.

IOTA is not even an erc 20 token, i doubt you need eth to move it. Their transactions are free.. Might need to just pay the exchange fee.

No its not,binance is a legit exchange that is based in hong kong and used as a way for chiniese people to have a chance to obtain other currencyies that otherwise aint avaible.They will probably be the biggest exchange as they combine money from both east and west countries

Either get a USB e-wallet or use something like Myetherwallet.com to store your private key and e-wallet.  This is the safest bet.

when i read your main topic i am a little surprised because i also have a little fund on binance, but when i read again then i can eliminate my shock. I think the thing you're experiencing is a real nuisance, because these days there is a problem in eth network and not just you who experience this.

Binance is not a scam place. it is actually a good exchange with low commission during trading. They have support for many coins and their support is good as well. The only thing i hate about them is their withdrawal fee. They charge so high when you want to withdrawal.

the scam issue I do not think will be suitable for binance, because I think it is only done by someone who is uncomfortable with binance. for a high cost issue I admit if indeed binance has a very high cost than other exchangers.

Binance is a legit trading site. The volumes are just high that is why deposit and withdraws are slow. All of trading sites with high volume have the same problem. But I swear that choosing binance as trading site is a choice that you will never regret. Also, almost altcoins listed on that site have potential to grow.

I have not had any issues with Binance to date other than their withdrawal fee is higher than others.  Nice interface, great Android app for on the go use.

This is a problem for all exchanges. When the price difference between the two exchanges is too large, they will close the charge and withdrawal of the token.

It happens sometimes. Not only on Binance. You should not worry. It's temporary. Never had any problem with Binance. One of the best exchanges.

Binance exchange is one of the best these days and I dont think it is a scam. I had use this exchange many times the deposit and widrawal are fast. Maybe you had experience the site is lag but the rest it is good exchange.

Binance is not scam and really not scam. Dont worry with that issues because sometime issue can be faced in any exchanger because they are working with system so sometime needs maintenance.

Probably some server issues they're facing. I have been using Binance for quite awhile and I haven't faced any issue thus far. Won't be surprised if it overtake Bittrex in terms of volume in the coming months.

i don't believe that binance is or will be a scam. its my favorite exchange. they have benefits and more features. but i think that hitbtc is a scam or will close soon....all exchanges have issues but at hitbtc it never stops.

I have been trading on binance for a couple months and dont believe it is a scam.   They are having some growing pains with the amount of traffic from the flood of new crypto investors.   As with all exchanges you should always keep your coins on a ledger when possible it is well worth the piece of mind that you are keeping your coins safe.

Been using binance and what i like the most with this site is unlike other exchange site, their support are super fast. Like liberally they replied to me every 10 mins. What's the kinda site i want. You'll feel comfortable regardless if you bump into any trouble with your transactions cuz they DO respond. Unlike others...

I think Binance is best exchange right now, Polo and Bittrex have high withdraw fee but not Binance. Binance trade is lots more faster and simple gui for traders.

I also heard that Binance is quite a good exchanger and my friends often use it without any problems.

They suspend withdrawals of various crypto coins due to network congestion, this doesn't mean that Binance is scam, lol

Definitely not a scam. Ive been trading on Binance since the platform launched and so far only made really good experiences with this exchange. I love the trading performance and also how many new coins they are listing. For me Binance is the best exchange around at the moment. Guess everyone coming from exchanges like Poloniex or Bittrex has to agree that it is a pleasure to trade there compared to the mentioned ones.

Guy go and relax your mind, it is just a little issue that comes with every exchange as a result of robust activities happening per second.

Binance is not a scam, it is a good trading site, better than kucoin, c-cex, and other small trading site.
i am into binance for a long time and i love the speed they have on transfer, all my coins that bought on binance are still there and safe.
maybe that time binance has a technical problem and resolved immediately.

binance is nice a platform to trade....its user friendly, easy navigator, good interface, good potentials coin..infact its the best trading platform so far...i have never lose a dime on it...

Binance is a major exchange and it has good reputation with its users,ive been using it for 9months and i dont find encounter any problems.Maybe theres something wrong with your account may i know if your account is verified already?

Binance is best and good platform for trading in the crypto market. If any body is facing any problem in binance then there is no need to worry because it is only for short time and it is minor problem which can remove with in few hours. Binance is big exchange in the world and scam word is not suitable for binance Platform and it is a trust able exchange for ever.

I am always weary of leaving anything on an exchange. Binance keep talking about becoming decentralised so when that happens at least we will have greater control of security. Wherever possible i'm getting coins onto my Ledger Nano S.

Yes me too also I will vouch for Binance. For me my funds/coins are always safe on binance it a very big exchange and they will not scam people who are using their exchange just for a little money. Maybe there are problem with their network but I think they would dealt with it already. Patience is the key.

I think there are problems with each and every exchange. Just some people got unlucky and got scr*d. And when it happens to you, it all becomes a big scam. So you can only hope that such mistakes won't happen to you, but unfortunately they happen to somebody - I repeat, with EVERY exchange. This is not amazon or ebay. Sh*t happens with these shady business...

Binance is a good exchange and is the number one exchange as of the moment. If there's something wrong during your transaction you can double check it at once.

No, they're definitely not. Although they have some questionable practices like only allowing to trade full coins, so you are left with parts of them unable to trade them, but they are not scammy.

Binance is the number one exchange now and it's a very big statment to call it scam. I've been trading there for several months and didn't face any difficulties at all. And as I know their support works much better than on other trading platforms.

Binance is not a scam. Many members are trading on that exchange and it is the number exchange at this time. Maybe what happened to you is just an unexpected issues. I like Binance exchange anyway.

Binance is definitely not a scam.  I have never had any problems with them.  If you check other exchanges listing the same coins, they will likely also have the withdraw/deposit suspensions at the same time.

All my transactions on Binance are okay so far. But I'm still waiting for the distribution of 2 forked coins in December.

No, I can confirm that Binance isn't a scam. I have used it for over a month and apart from some issues due to network congestion, Binance has been quite smooth and has performed far better than other exchanges that I have tried. Their withdrawal fees are painfully high but the lower trading fees if you hold BNB sort of evens it out.

So far it has being a genuine case and things went smoothly as they have mentioned so far. Infact after the binance had stopped the registration for some days was the actual masterstroke as after they opened again they had huge registration happening and people have started t o use this a primary exchange now it seem.

Mercatox is simply the worst.  They have so many people's coins held hostage while they 'perform maintenance' and HitBTC is just well, you know...

I never have a touch with Mercatox, but what I like in HitBTC, that there is no limit for withdrawal, or it is just too high, so I didn't reach it. But I have had a problem with it, 1 time, when I tried to withdraw not small amount of Stratis, so better to be careful with that exchange. And in Binance the cool thing, that you have withdrawal limits of 3btc(maybe I'm wrong).

Yes and that is even without becoming verified.  If you are verified, you can withdraw 100 BTC at a time.  You will have to contact them in order to be allowed to take out more than that, but I'm nowhere close to getting to even 100 BTC.  I wish  :P

Binance is a very good cryptocurrency exchange. You don't have anything to worry about. Maybe it is just a problem in their system or a technical glitch or something. Or maybe there is an ongoing update that's why you are having a difficulty in transacting. I'm using it for quiet a while now, and still not experience any issues about it. Maybe you can withdraw again later to see if the system is already repaired. Binance is not a scam.

I have been using Binance for quite a while now and my transactions have always been smooth. It's a good crypto market exchange platform and also they have smaller fees compare to others. They are not scam  :)

What i noticed these days is that, most sites, exchange sites particular are many a times have network issue dues to congestion. You would notice that unlike how registrations used to be, there is limit to the number of registered users on daily basis. I would advise that you write the support of Binance for clarity.

Binance is currently accepting new users.  They're adding new coins like crazy and actually answer support tickets (unheard of in this space, apparently).  Quickly becoming the top global exchange.

I just saw this thread now, but I see that the post of the OP is at the start of December last year, so I'm assuming everything is ok now.
Right now I mainly trade on Gdax, but I would like to try another exchange to be able to trade some alts. I tried bittrex, and it's ok, but I've heard good things on binance, and they definitely look bigger than bittrex (more alts, lower fees, more volume). So is everything ok there? Have anyone experienced any problems?

As far as I trade there - I experienced only good things - it's a fast and stable platform; dunno why you suspect it to be a scam.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if that "network congestion" was true though. Binance is an excellent exchange for professional trading. Its graphics and design make the trader feel professional and comfortable while making money ;D

I don't think binance is a scam . They have been running pretty well and they have excellent business practices MOST of the time. There's always room for improvement but they are shooting to be the #1 crypto exchange and at this pace, there's nothing really stopping them.

Binance is a legit cryptocurrency exchange. They are my main playground for trading.  It is the number one exchange at the moment for having the highest trading volume.  Wallets go into maintenance all the time.

relax network congestion is common. Binance is one of few reputable exchange at the moment, there are risk though that's why I don't put my coins in exchange when not trading.  You can also experience withdrawal suspension on every exchange  due to technicalities , nothing to worry about.

What is weird are those massive token drops after a competition. The largest buyers/traders etc all get their share, and I have the feeling the winners are often the same people or the same kind of people (related somehow to the OCN token distributors). Also fits the presence of whales in those coins.

It can't be more obvious, if the distributors/developers are rewarding the larger traders with extra coins, that induces price fluctuation. And it doesn't say in the whitepaper that there'd be a competition with a real jackpot (a new Tesla S 75D for example, the electric car) right after such tokens hit the exchange. That it is a straight-forward pump, it's just called a competition and presented nicely. In fact a whale companion can buy in at the presale and acquire 10% of the tokens (at bonus price), which allows him to win the car, and that will refund (part of) his investment, so he can take the risk of whaling all over the place and take some hits before cashing out. Making it look all the more genuine.

I don't care about the whales on Binance, there's so many users there, and there will always be people with extraordinary amounts of money. But on smaller exchanges you can literally see them moving in the orderbook. Bad omen that has been present very much lately.

Binance is not a scam exchange its a very good exchange as far as I know. I am using Binance without any problem till date. There might be some glitch in website when you tried to move. Sometime there might be some upgradation on specific wallets So that could be the reason as well. You can full rely on binance exchange.

I've done plenty of trading on binance. I wouldn't worry, they are a very widely known and very popular exchange! Sometimes they go under maintenance just like everyone else and it will not let you sign on briefly just like any other exchange. But they have a very good reputation! I wouldn't worry if I was you!

The recent issue that binance has had has made me more confident in using them. Great updates and information through out and now even 70% off transaction fees....result!

This is exactly what I was about to post on here.  This exchange was my first alternative when I ventured out from Coinbase and I have been happy with them ever since.

Until a few days ago everyone said "the best exchange is binance". The site was closed for a few hours and it started to be called "binance is scam". We witnessed many exchanges and the closing of those exchanges. Do not hurry to make a decision.

The CEO identity is known, and is based in Hong Kong. There is no where he can run from the interpol in the event that he chooses to run off with all the funds or do anything illegal.

Hong Kong have pretty good laws against fraud and scams. Singapore too.

Even the current government in China are now very harshly clamping down on frauds/scams, taking an authoritative approach initially to drain the swamp of the past governments, before slowly democratising the country once everything is developed and stable.

And with the large number of people using their services, network congestion is a normal thing and you need to empathize for them. Every day they have many transactions to deal with, the number can reach millions of transactions.

Binance is ok. If you are looking for a crappy exchange with plenty of scam coins you should probably take a look at EtherDelta. That's scam, not Binance.

The first time I googled Binance, the top hit (and the only direct link to binance.com) was an Ad. It felt fishy, somehow, and I was unsure about using it. However there were a couple of coins it was offering that I really wanted to buy so I did some reading on it (that's how I found this thread, btw  :D), bit the bullet and set up my account.  It's so easy to set up an account. Level 1 Verification allows you to withdraw up to 2BTC a day, and all you need is an email address. I'm glad I did that because now I like it quite a lot overall. Here are a few things about this exchange that have made me confident about using it:


1) There's a reminder to verify their webpage upon login (please check that you're visiting https://www.binance.com). Of course the onus is always on us to make sure we are not clicking through to a phishing site, but it's always nice to have a reminder from the original site itself

2) They are really insistent on 2FA (2 Factor Authorisation). As any exchange worth their salt should be. If you don't have 2FA on your accounts, get it. 3) They send an email to your associated email account for each successful login. This means that if you're monitoring your email, you can verify that you, and only you, are logging into your account.

4) They send an email to your associated email account each time you withdraw something. You have to confirm the withdrawal via email before it proceeds. This means that unless someone has control of both your account and your email, no one can withdraw funds without your knowledge.

5) They support many airdrops and forks. I can't speak to all coins but I have gotten GAS and ONT through NEO, and ETF with ETH. That's already better than other exchanges (I'm looking at you, Cryptopia...)

6) Support is pretty decent for an exchange of this volume. I had withdrawn some ETH from them right around the time that the Cryptokitties debacle hit. It was taking way longer to arrive in my wallet than usual. Before I learned that Cryptokitties was the reason for the ETN network slowdown, I sent them a support ticket. Within 48 hours, I had received a response - during a period when they must have received massive volumes of support tickets, due to something that was beyond their control. My ETH was credited into my wallet very soon after that. For me, that showed a lot of class.

TRADING:

As a basic trader (I buy to hold medium-to-long term) I find their trading view complicated to begin with. They have two trading views and I use the basic though the expert has some nice features, like showing your entire portfolio right there on the page.

What I like:

 - It has relatively low fees. Switch to the BNB option for fees and you save an additional 50 Percent.
 - They have a nifty little 'percentage' option on their buy and sell windows so you can choose to spend 25, 50, 75 or 100 percent of your available BTC (or whatever market you're using) on your purchase. There's also a pop-up that tells you how many max units of each coin/token you can buy or sell, based on the purchase or selling price you have defined.

What I don't like:

 - As a total noob, I wasn't a fan of the sell order/buy order ticker. I learned to read it pretty quick but there are other formats that are a lot more intuitive. (to balance things out since I was critical of them before: I'll give credit to Cryptopia for their easy-to-use trading view)

- This is the biggie: The fee is deducted from the coin amount you place in your buy order. It's not integrated into the window showing the total BTC spent. So if you aren't using the BNB fee option, and you put in an order for 10 units of something, you actually end up with a balance of 9.9 units. This is a huge deal if you're dealing with something like NEO. If you end up with 9.9 NEOs and want to send them to another wallet, you'll end up 'losing' the 0.9 NEO (minus transaction fees) because the NEO asset is not divisible.

If you want to sell your NEO instead of transfer it, you will only be able to sell your NEO up to 2 decimal places (other coins have different configurations.) Plus there's another transaction fee to contend with. So after all is said and done, you'll likely end up with 0.00xxxxxx worth of NEO, i.e, what is known as 'dust'. It's essentially wasted money, because those are balances that are too small to use in a trade. So unless you're willing or able to buy more NEO in order to 'use' your balance of NEO, those are small sums of money that are unusable. There's talk of Binance adjusting their policy on this but I'll believe it when I see it.

Despite this issue, I'm still happy to use Binance as one of my major exchanges. Transactions move quickly and support and communication is pretty good, as they showed during their recent maintenance issues. That being said, *any* online exchange is susceptible to hacks, and you should never keep more than you're willing to trade in any account that you don't hold the private keys to.

Binance is no scam. Seems these thread is outdated. Binance is one of the best exchange you can get on currently. But it seems their most appealing feature (Mobile App) is no longer a selling point to me now as Bibox App has same UI.

Binance decrease the withdrawal fee from 50% off (.0005btc) but still it is too high compare to normal transaction fee.
Right now Binance still a legit trading site beside is in the top of good exchange site with a high volume traders everyday but  we cannot say when this exchange site will turn to scam :)

I am quite sure there is no other exchange like binance be it their ui or the service. With crypto there is no break it has to be online 24 hrs so you can expect the occasional hiccups

Binance exchange is one of the few that have promise to eventually start helping its user collect airdrops/forked coins where-possible.

They are already providing the GAS produced to NEO holders.
And are working towards giving Stellar Lumen holders their regular XLM airdrop distributions that the network provides to HODLers.
And probably Thor to VeChain HODLers too in the near future.

its a really good exchange, and this is the one of the largest exchanges in the world at the moment. if u r faced with some difficulties and there's something wrong during ur transaction u can double check it at once og course. i think it may be some issues related to networking and think u r resolved for now. it's not a scam, no doubt.

The exchange is not guilty because of the network was overloaded. Shit happens and it was a bad time to send coins. This happens often in crypto. You must be able to overview the general situation before sending coins.

Sometimes wallets are in maintenance mode. This is normal on every crypto exchange out there. No need to cry scam imho.

Binance is one of a caliber exchange site in trading digital industry today and i used it every month and strongly recommend that binance is not a place of scam. Excellent exchange! Convenient, fast. I put in a light 15 minutes and it all came. The commission on the stock exchange is very small so you will not notice it. The mobile version is worthy of praise. For a beginner this exchange is the most it!

Binance is surely not a scam. Similar delays and problems happen with all the exchanges including binance, it's not the reason for whining, you will get your withdrawal processed.

As always exchanges are sometimes facing problems too especially those at the top they cannot address their clients fast enough despite their number of workers already. Binance still looks good and remains number one in volume.

I know after binance problems , everybody look with fear to binance but still binance is reliable place to trading. maybe you can try kucoin and cryptopia for alternatives.

I don't think binance is a scam. They had a little issue which I know that they are capable of solving the issue.

They are not, they are the best crypto exchange for alts in my opinion right now, their interface is very nice and the exchange is easy to use. They also handled the hacking before very well so nobody lost their money, it's just them telling you that the network is congested so it will take a lot of time until it arrived.

I did not have such a problem on the stock exchange. I mostly use Bitrex, so I advise you to try this exchange.

For me Binance is one of the most Legit exchange and fees are not that high ( because I use BNB :) ) . One reason why it happen is maybe they have some issues at that time that normal happens to all trading sites .

There maybe just a small problem like network congestion but it does not mean it is already a scam. Just  relax fellow Binance is good and becoming for famous for exchange.

Binance is now very popular and trusted with it bigger volume of the coins that are listed. It is not a scam I am sure. This exchange may face some issues during that time. So you cannot access it.

Binance is the best exchange out there now. It's very easy to use and fees are also very low compared to other exchanges. It is definitely not a scam.

Don't panic for such stupid reasons,binance was just doing its work or the networks of these cryptocurrencies were really overloaded.

Nope, Binance isn't a scam for some reason. Their servers might overloaded because of the amount of people registering every day.

I never tried using binance, because I have not done any day-trading with any other coins yet. But I have heard that it Binance has a good reputation when it comes in trading coins, of course it's not the best trading platform but it has all the features to get started as a newbie trader in digital currency market.

Your question sounded so stupid my friend. Binance is an example of an exchange wherein you do your trading of coins. Just be careful on the URL because a lot of phishing site are out there.

I think Binance is one of the biggest exchange sites coins are trying to get listed of. So basically its not a scam, and I have been in this exchange site a year now and had not experience any problem at all so far. Just always make sure to place a 2fa to the exchange site you are registered in no matter what kind of exchange site it is for safety measures.

People are way too quick in this space to cry spam! Seriously, if the largest Crypto website is considered 'spam' perhaps the crypto space isn't for some of those people.

All of a sudden when I tried to trade XRP my coins vanished. I contacted support and they took 1.5 days to escalate the issue. I had to bear huge losses due to this. They only seem to care about people who are old users.

Why do you say Binance scam? I think it's always used well. It has a very good use experience. The presentation and recharge are very fast. Maybe you have a platform upgrade problem. You don't have to worry about it. Binance is always safe.

This is an old thread but so you know that network issues can affect transactions. I do hope you had successfully completed your transaction. If you did, you should have shared same here if you didn't.

Binance is an excellent exchange that I highly recommend, I can confirm that Binance isn't a scam. I have used it for over a month and apart from some issues due to network congestion, Binance has been quite smooth and has performed far better than other exchanges that I have tried. Their withdrawal fees are painfully high but the lower trading fees if you hold BNB sort of evens it out.

I use mainly Kraken and Binance. Binance has never let me down, not even when BTC spiked over 10k the first time and there was lot of congestion in the networks. Kraken on the other hand.. But Binance is not a scam, it has served me very well during last few months.

Network congestion means there still a lot of unfinished or most transaction are not yet finished and need time to process thing before they can add up request transaction on the list... just imagine a long line that they need to put some barricade on the last line to make sure the last line will finished it's transaction before the closing time.. something like that... it's not all about scam but also try tonunderstand things...

Binance is not a place that I can call Scam. This is one of the few exchanges that were recommended to me when I first joined the industry and was looking for an exchange to trade my coins. This is the most common cryptocurrency exchange. I don't think there's even a part of it from skam. Everything is completely fair and square.

you have face trouble with your coin have you bought, its not trouble by binance. You can withdraw your coin again after all it back to normal, maybe your deposit for your coin is maintance and you have waiting for several time to make transaction.

BNB trading floor is quite stable. Make sure the withdrawal time is a minor error that you can not withdraw. Contact the technical department for inspection

It happens with small traders like, I don't think so it is a scam. It happened with me few months ago, I was about to sell some crypto currencies but I was not able to transfer that, there are gas error or something like this. And For those who said that binance is scam . well he or she maybe visited a phishing site that looks like binance and he got scamed or in other scenario , he or she maybe experiencing a human error  and does not realize its own fault.

all traders have believed that binance is the best, biggest exchange and has a good reputation. there is no problem and I am sure this is only an issue or a few minor issues and this is easily solved by the team. Don't rush to conclude.
