Title: Do Not Buy Christmas Presents!!
Post by: RawDog on December 04, 2017, 10:09:34 AM
If you buy your wife a handbag for christmas and that costs $500, you could instead have $50,000 in about two years.  Do you how that damn handbag will look in two years?  It will be old and wrinkly just like her face.

All you have to do to save $49,500, is stay strong and durable on Christmas morning while explaining why you didn't buy a present.  Alright, she is definitely going to be pissed.  But how bad could it be?  Maybe it will last a week.  It is still worth $49,500.

Don't buy any fucking christmas presents!!!

Your lousy wife was probably going to leave you anyway.  Might as well just speed things up while making a fortune.  Then, get a new wife.  A better one.

Well, what's the most expensive? A $500 bag or a divorce?

Wow! this is   a very nice idea especially for greedy husband. Money is not everything in life. It is not advisable to invest at the detriment of your relationship.

It might be a good idea to just buy both. I did think about paper wallets for people for Christmas but I'm sure they would prefer the fiat instead.

lol my fine friend.  You need to be reminded 'pussy is not everything'.  Especially so when the original post contemplates a full upgrade.  'detriment of your relationship' is the questionable part of your argument.  If your bitch loves $500 handbags more than $49,500 then she clearly needs to refocus.  Could be that the 'detriment' in that relationship needs to be replaced.

Well, what's the most expensive? A $500 bag or a divorce?
This is why so many guys are running around with a wife they don't even like any more.  Only because divorce is expensive do they stay together.  What a lifelong misery.

I think this will only work for some married couple that did not work out, though I have a perfect and understanding woman that understand that consequence so we decided not to make any purchase using our bitcoin. We have other way to earn fiat and that is the one we will be using to spend our Christmas and buy each other a gift.

From your post I can say that you have been in a rough relationship, well, Have a nice Christmas.

I do not have a wife but I can understand why it must be done. And I think it will not be only $50K in the future but way more than that. You can deduct fiat on you're bank account if you want to give some presents but never ever sell your bitcoin because it will be worth a million times in the future in which you will be regretting for you're whole life, unless you really need it though.

Why the gifts are not paper wallets and then you can get a lot of money in the future if the price rises?

OK, it is good idea will tell my GF about your post and let see what she say;.
you must give Christmas Presents even small pencil will be great.
Gifts are not required to be expensive, the psychological impact of these gifts will be more wonderful than gifts.
thanks for sharting and marry Christmas

I partially agree with you. A piece of paper with a QR loaded with some fractions of btc would be a nice present indeed. Off the scheme.
In terms of getting a new wife, after you are bloody rich, I am sure that the new wife will be a big bitch after the fiat, and won’t last long. Surely less than the bitcoin bubble.

All you said is reasonable. If we are speaking about ordinary people, If you are not a millionare and your wife needs handbag for $500 then you would better find another wife and keep the money for your future. Anyway handbag for $500 is such useless item compare to others you can buy for that money

What about giving paper wallets with some BTC, or ETH, or any other altcoin??

That could be a nice present...

I'm thinking about it for Christmas presents.
One friend of mine gave in a wedding around 10ETH about a year ago!
Very nice wedding present considering the ETH boost this year. Wondering if the couple keep it or already cached out...
(or even if they know what the have :p)

Lol Christmas presents is not about money or about how much money you will drop in your pocket just to make your wife happy. We celebrate christmas only once a year so how can you say that sir? Happiness is more important in this event than thinking about saving all your money.

Christmas is a scam so Gucci can sell more handbags that are unneeded and prevent you from having as much Bitcoin as you should have.  I think this will be easier for you to understand in 10 years when that handbag would have been worth $4million dollars.

I couldn't agree more. Spending money on things that depreciates is not a very wise idea. We just have to be witty enough on our decisions when it comes to money handling. I'm sure your wife will be happier if you give her a new house or car in the next 2 years than a hand bag now.

Even though i am not married i understand what you are saying. But i think that money is not everything in life , there are some people and some things which are way more valuable than money. If at every point you start to save for the future and not live in the moment you will regret that one day because having money cannot buy you a partner who would understand you but it could buy you bitches as you stated in a comment. I am not saying that saving is bad but you should not always think of future as you don't know whether it is 100% sure that bitcoin will rise to that extent in 2 years but what you know is that buying a handbag can make your wife happy and that is for sure.

Well not all wives are gonna leave just because you can't get them what they want, because a woman who truly lives you wouldn't exchange you for anything. Also I wanna what's the sense of earning here if we don't buy our love ones especially our wives something romantic this holiday season, then you will lose the purpose of the holiday season it's all about giving not being selfish.

haha, this is funny for so many reasons. the most obvious one is that OP is practically saying don't live and put all your money in bitcoin instead. of course he is trolling but it is funny nonetheless.

but also something that most people may not know is that this is coming from a troll who was talking about how bitcoin is going to die not so long ago when price was so much lower than this.

If the bitcoin rate stops growth, you can stay not only without profit, but without a wife. You can pursue superprofits all your life without spending a penny, but there is no logic in it.

Buying Bitcoin for family and friends for a Christmas present is interesting idea but I'm quite certain that not every person would be satisfied with it. Most people still see Bitcoin as something worthless because it doesn't have any physical form. That's hilarious because same people would like to receive bank transfers instead of using cash. I'll try to encourage some of my friends to try Bitcoin by creating a paper wallet for them and filling it with some BTC.

Well, what's the most expensive? A $500 bag or a divorce?

If you’re not an idiot, then neither your wife nor anybody else knows how much Bitcoin you have.  If your relationship is so fragile that failure to buy a $500 handbag would cause a divorce, then you’re stupid if you let her know you have any Bitcoin at all.  (If you have an excellent relationship, then she may know that you have some indeterminate amount of Bitcoin; but then, we would not be having this discussion.)

So, why worry about the expense of divorce?  You may lose your house and bank accounts, but not your Bitcoin.  Keep your priorities straight!

(Aside:  Chainalysis + divorce lawyers = marriage made in Hell.)

You must have one ugly wife.  Hot ones are all money eaters who need new Gucci bags every birthday or christmas.

Well, that’s the kind of attitude which will make hot women who are “wife material” avoid you like syphilis.  This leaves you with the type of woman who can be bought, and demands to be bought.  It would be more honest to put the money on the bedside table directly to her Bitcoin address, instead of messing with the handbag; so I guess your wife must be the kind of whore who lies about her profession, and lies first to herself.  Are you happy helping her maintain her precious illusions?

No matter how hot, a real wife cares about babies, a stable nest, and a husband who prudently builds for the future.  Give an exclusive choice, if you’re not rich enough to provide both, a wife will prefer the investment which will pay for future university tuition, rather than immediate gratification with $500 handbags.  Unless she is American.  Are you perchance American?  Just wondering.

Oh by the way, shame on you for calling a man’s wife “ugly” when you don’t know anything about her, or even if he has a wife.  Sour grapes.  Whether or not you’re American, it is perfectly clear that you’re jealous of men who get for free from hot women what you need to pay for—with handbags or otherwise.

Lol it is an interesting theory. My friends probably will kill me if I don't buy any gift lol

Such helpful “friends” you have!  They give you the advantage of not needing deadly enemies.

Now, I am usually thrilled to make gifts of useful advice.  But for such persons as to whom I here replied, everything has a price; and my advice is very expensive.  My Bitcoin address is listed in my signature.  My words are worth more than $500 now, and much more than $50k later on when you die without leaving your Bitcoin to anybody because you’re totally alone, and nobody even likes you.

This is a very interesting approach to things and money. And how much more unnecessary, in principle, things we buy throughout the year. Only in this case, for Christmas and Christmas gifts should be approached individually. After all, sometimes you do not need an expensive thing, but the very attention on this holiday. However, sometimes a decent gift is needed and bitkoyn in this case can wait until the next appearance of the opportunity to buy it. And in general, of course, if you are confident in the future bitkoyna and its continued growth in price, then you need to moderate saving for investing in bitkoyn.

Why not give her $250 worth of Bitcoin?  First, get her mad that you didn’t do that a year ago.  If we use “the $500 handbag” as a unit of account, then $250 worth of Bitcoin a year ago would now be worth about five handbags.  If you pull it off right, she may become obsessed with Bitcoin; that seems win-win for you.

Maybe splurge an extra $100 for a hardware wallet, so you have something to put under the tree and she can keep her coins safe.

Of course, you should only give her Bitcoin if you really love her.  Diamonds are compressed charcoal.  Numbers are forever.  “For bettre or for wores, to haev and to hodl.”

Think you that I wax romantic?  Truly, Bitcoin is for lovers.  y2 = x3 + 7 (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Secp256k1) is a svelte elliptic curve you can embrace to your bosom:

Oh, I would double-hash points on that (and I do, every time I use Bitcoin).  Yet there are limits to intimacy.  My very heart may be naked before my ladylove, but she will never touch my secret keys!

And how much more unnecessary, in principle, things we buy throughout the year. […] And in general, of course, if you are confident in the future bitkoyna and its continued growth in price, then you need to moderate saving for investing in bitkoyn.

Ah, the benefits of deflationary money:  People stop buying junk they don’t need.  Instead they want precious, precious bits.  Anybody who was profligate with Bitcoin a year or three (or more) ago has been undergoing corrective shock therapy, poorer but perhaps wiser.  Or at least, sadder.  Methinks many a would-have-been “Bitcoin millionaire” is now cursing at himself amidst a cheap pile of consumer baubles.  At least, some got pizza (https://bitcointalk.org/?topic=137.0).  I hear that food tastes better when it’s bought with today’s value equivalent of over $110 million.  Or maybe it tastes like ashes.

Explain it well to your wife. Might as well tell her your plans don't put your relationship on the edge of losing a wife. It is not that easy to find a new wife, partner in life if you were always selfish.

Very dumb idea.  That $250 handbag will mean millions at retirement.  Don't believe me?  No problem, you'll understand fully when you retire without that money.  Having a mad wife for a week doesn't compare to millions more in retirement - and retiring when you are 40.

I am sorry but world is not just about money.  At the end of your life, no matter how many money you have, still, you will leave it behind. Building a good relationship with the people around you when you are strong and kicking is important.  Buying presents during Christmas or other occasions for your love ones makes them feel important and happy.  Those people that you make happy will be the one who will remember you when you die but your money will be all gone.  Memories are more important than money.

Ok.If i work as per your advice and avoid buying such christmas gift,i might get $50,000 in the next few years. But the problem is if my wife refuses to go away from me even after refusing to gift her, then what should i do with that $50,000 when she still stays with me,ha ha.Just expecting another piece of advice from you.

My friend,we could not count all the expenses that we do and think of saving it.These occasions do not come always. They are memorable moments of life and i think that gifting at such instances would be the best thing which could be done.

Don't buy any fucking christmas presents!!!

Your lousy wife was probably going to leave you anyway.  Might as well just speed things up while making a fortune.  Then, get a new wife.  A better one.

Well the girls I know all have Bitcoin codes tattooed on their asses, so they want $100 to $500 to sit on your lap and talk about what comes up.

When you got serious coins, you don't need a wrinkly old wife, you can buy hot young chicks with coins now.

Oh, most of those chicks in SFL with BTC tats on their butts,  I know most for a  few years, I'm the guy that got them their first wallets.

So I don't have to pay for Jack.

They trip over themselves just knowing how big my wallet is.

Lol

Imagine that recruiting strippers last five years to buy Bitcoin.

True story

It's a good idea to buy Bitcoin instead of buying some useless things like many people do. However, I wouldn't buy Bitcoin for a person who doesn't know much about technology and could throw away the paper wallet with the bitcoins which I sent there. I'm trying to convince my family member that Bitcoin isn't that bad and they should invest in it. I'm not only talking about possible profits but also

@OP
After your amazing idea, how did it go? Did Santa bring a magic piece of paper with a wonderful monochromatic qr code printed on? Has your girl appreciated it fully as much as I would? Happy Christmas.

Its so funny. I agree with you to the fact that the price of the gift you buy can cost double someday if you put it into investment but i think you should not put it onto christmas gifts. Christmas spirit is gift giving and maybe lets just give our loveones something without asking anything in return. Merry Christmas everyone . Lets spread the love.

Another Christmas gift that became popular was the shoe. You can buy favorite sneakers for your brother or sister.

Hahahaha! That is actually true, I would agree with you on that sir. I would not waste my precious Bitcoins for those kind of useless stuff.

It is an interesting idea, but i think it is not worth it. Yes 50,000$ sounds better, but you lose so much more, its better to buy that purse or whatever. First of all if your thinking only about money, that is sad. Second you should buy your wife present for Christmas, it will make her happy. If you do not want to make her happy and all you care is money, than i do not see why you need that wife of yours. People should tend to make their loved ones happy, and Christmas is good day for that. On the other hand, save 500$ by not buying things you want for yourself. Invest that money into bitcoin and make your self rich in 2 years.

Well, we can't force them to do so. But yes, that's indeed true, if they will put their money into investment, for a long period of time, they will surely earn huge profit as time passes by. But still, not all people are into investment so they won't think the same way of investing than using their money to buy the things that they need.

It seems to me that we need to live for today. Personally, I get more pleasure from that when I give gifts than when gifts are given to me. Who knows their fate? Can we not live for 2 years? Skiing at Christmas is an opportunity to relax. I do not see sense to save. I think you just don't like to spend money. You have the passion for hoarding. It could end badly for you.

I do not agree with the author, it seems to me that it is worth to please your relatives with gifts, because they make our life happier, not money. If someone needs another wife, then why hold on to this one? Personally for me, it has always been outrageous when people complain about their friends, car and wife. After all, this is their personal choice, so why complain about what you yourself chose, I do not understand.

Christmas presents are to be bought, because life is going to go on. Bitcoin certainly can not sell, I suggest you use the money to buy it, don't move your bitcoin wallet. Also, your life with your wife may never be bought with money.

There is no harm in giving a gift to the woman we care about it will not make you poor if just buy a $ 500 bag, smile and affection it is invaluable.
if we do not want to be wasteful we can buy a cheap but memorable gift, unless you are a stingy person.
for your loved ones alone you are very calculating especially with yourself.

It doesn´t have to be a $500 gift, she could value equally a cheaper gift. Moreover, you want to make money to have a plentiful life, so you can be happy. And if you don´t ever make a sacrifice for your wife somethimes, to get more money, you could lose her and your life would be worst. A wife is not just about sex, the connection is the most important thing and most hard to find and you could lose it for such an unsignificant thing. P.D: You are crazy man haha

You buy your bitch presents?  You must be rich. For Christmas this year I told my bitch I wouldn’t fuck her best friend that day and I would spend the whole day with her. I even promised not to beat her ass (unless she gets mouthy of course). Didn’t cost me anything.

If that's the case, it's good to present in terms of bitcoin rather than spending on some gifts that seems an unwanted thing. In particular all I expect to have with bitcoin is the growth. When it comes to Christmas it's all about love and when someone is served with a small gift too, it makes value if love is there. So, the gifts doesn't matter, the love that's been provided matters.

There is no doubt in it and you are right we can make other feel special by giving this kind of gifts. I love to buy things and having a lot of gifts but now I think there is another best and good option now like bitcoin for me also bitcoin is best to be gifted and to have as a gift. If someone will give me bitcoin as a gift I will keep that bitcoin safe with me and will use it as a saving for future.

Actual topic. Investing in Bitcoin after the drawdown, which I think should happen in early January is certainly very good, but still the lizards are to be taken care of, so buy a bag for your wife. ;)

That's why you find someone who says "Don't buy me any presents, there's absolutely no need to" and then you buy something small just to show that you care and everyone's happy.  ;D

That exact same kind of logic can be applied in two years to the gained $50k as well. If you choose not to spend it then it could become $250k in another 2 years and so on and so on. With your reasoning it is best to never spend it then since it will keep on growing and growing.

And you can buy a gift for your wife and go to the crypt. Do not forget about close people and be selfish greed.
