Demands against supplies control the prices of BTC

It's not completely controlled but this increase seems like a pump or in other words a bubble which can blast any moment.

There is no doubt that currently the demand for btc is really high even of the price fell it wouldn't take time to recover but if you check the news many are saying people like morgan and few other investors are the ones who are pumping the price this high.

Nevertheless the higher the price the better it is for us and as he said demand controls the price well currently demand is at it's toppest level.

The biggest owners of China mining pools is playing their game and when time will come BTC price blowing up.

like i always say and i will never stop saying this maybe someone will hear my voice someday i hope people could benefit more from this technology not just walkthrough it for the money bitcoin deserve more than it's current value people are trying to keep their money in bitcoins some for profit some keeping it like gold and the few others using it a what it meant to be a currency

Dude its the law of supplies and demands. The more people know about BTC the pricy it gets. Rising of bitcoin price signifies that many of us are using BTC. So we better invest now than it is too late. Theres a speculation that the price of BTC will rise up to $1,000,000 each. But I think thats far from now.

Its not surprise for me bitcoin $11000 even I believe bitcoin will touch 12000-12500$ till 31 December 2017, because now a days most of the online sites agree to use bitcoin as a digital currency, in October we heard that the world's biggest online shopping site Amazon is thinking to add bitcoin for payment gateway , if this happen you can see bitcoin price 15000$ in april-2018, bitcoin's demand is increasing day by day.so I dont see any dumpin bitcoin at this level.

For me, it’s not surprised . You know , In bitcoin investment ,we can’t predict anything previously and exactly. And sometimes you can get lucky from it. Bitcoin is increasing very fast in 2017 because of the spread of bitcoin to many people who saw great technology of bitcoin and its usefulness in the future.I think Nothing can control bitcoin up and down because bitcoin market cap is too large (over 200 billions dollars). If you want to control bitcoin up or down you need have billions dollars.

No one can control bitcoin, this price increase is due to increased demand for bitcoin and I'm sure this upward trend will continue. I hope in future 1 btc = 1 lambo  :D :D

Bitcoin are growing because its popular is bigger with every day. I think in near future its price achieve 15000 dollars. I have big hope

I think that such a big price of bitcoin is a personal game of whales and newcomers who have just entered the market. The popularity of bitcoin grows, so does demand and price increase.

And how does the government control the price of BTC ??? Or do you mean it can be a separate country? Just at the moment, the units of states that take bitcoin and somehow try to influence it.

LOL. Bitcoin is decentralized and no one controls it. And yes the price go up dramatically in the last couple of days. And now its even higher and trading above $13K. Isn't it great?

What drove this price is the basic supply and demand. Is the demand is huge and the supply is limited prices go up now only in bitcoin but in other commodities as well. So where are the demand coming from specially today? The answer:

A lot of financial institutions such as CBOE, CME and Nasdaq and offering it to their clients. This news drove institutional investors to buy more bitcoin in anticipation of this kind of offers.

It has now becoming popular and widely known around the world. People are getting bitcoin because it serves as a store of wealth specially if you are going to hold it for long term. So there's a lot of visibility for bitcoin  pushing the price to new levels and gains this year alone.

Aside from demand, and one of the reason why bitcoin is so high is because of incoming forks. The more bitcoin you hold, the more free money you will get.

And no, bitcoin is not rising because of forks, because the new forks are a total waste of time, they are not even worth it.
The only reason of why it has been pumped so hard lately is because of the price, the more price people see, then they are going to be more crazy and they will want to buy bunch of them.

Try to make a conversation with another guy, ask him about bitcoin. If he is introduced, he will tell you that he is desperated about buying more. This is the main reason of why it has been increasing a lot, because the hype.

All afraid of not being in time, potentially missed opportunities attract more and more newcomers  ;)

In my opinion in a way it is controlled as well as the other altcoins. However it is another kind of a control – simply large investors and big dealers organize sometimes hype around it to affect its price. Then the rumor about soon fall of BTC comes, and somebody makes good money on this game.

On the bill of demand - I agree, but why do you think that the growth of bitcoin also depends on the creation of forks ?? After all, this only distracts attention from bitcoin in some way.

if you are talking about who control the price bitcoin? I think there is nothing can do so. the rise in bitcoin prices is due to the high demand and supply of bitcoinwhich is growing every moment.

People are getting into bitcoins as a source of payment now than ever, hence its demand. as more people are demanding it, its price keep increases.

Guys, we are seeing Bitcoin's very rapid growth. Looking at what is happening, it's already getting scared. Everyone writes news that Bitcoin has crossed the mark in 13k, 14k and is approaching 15k. But, why does everything happen so quickly?

There are several reasons for this.

1) Last night, the Lightning Labs development team successfully completed the validation of the Lightning Network version 1.0 protocol: briefly, the protocol allows for instant transactions in bitcoins, as well as work with microtransactions. This is a big step forward and the reason for this growth overnight.
2) The intentions of the Chicago Stock Exchange and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange CME Group to launch the trade in bitcoin futures that start on December 10 and 18 were the cause of strong growth to 12k, add to the growth and now.
3) On December 4, a test network RootStock was launched (I wrote about it earlier, a sydchane that allows to create smart contracts on bitcoins). I think that could have affected good growth, although not many people know and heard about RootStock in general.
4) Also, one of the reasons for such rapid growth, was the fact of reaching a psychological mark of 10k. Almost all the largest non-crypto publications wrote about this, drawing attention to the bitcoin of a large number of people.

Actually, there is no chinese bch conspiracy, or mystical whales manipulating the price this time.
The answer to it's rise is quite simple:

BTC has gone viral.

If you keep up with markets beyond coinmarketcap (which is a horrible indicator btw).
Then you will see that a large amount of money going in to btc is through coinbase, a us company.
Coinciding with some widely publicized news articles and segments about bitcoin.
Add in a huge dash of every new "investor" posting about how they just bought bitcoin and are going to become millionares then, "voila!"

This explanation matches actual economic data and real life events.
A lot more reliable than a conspiracy theory about powerful people manipulating the market wouldn't you agree?

The moral of the story?
Educate yourself in economics, crypto, investment, and statistics and you actually can make smart investment choices while others watch you and think, "Wow! It's like he can predict the future!"

BTC rise too fast in a fews day, so bad when I invest all my BTC last week in b3 coin so make hurt feeling :'(

in my view, no one control it, it happen because most people on the general economic community already seen and trust on bitcoin as an asset of investment for future, and then they invest on bitcoin i think for several time before they take the profit, so it maybe a bubble for a certain time.

That is a good and wide explanation,and indeed those are the main reasons for that jump in the price,all that number of news together ended up pushing this one at these very high levels,but isn´t possible to know what will happen next.

As most of the guys sayed here, it's about supply and demand. More and more people are starting to invest in Bitcoin so there has to be a ballance.

First of all, in all media, Bitcoin is mentioned many times a day. And when you always talk about something, people start to think. Looking at Bitcoin, they see that it grows. There is a self-feeding process - newsmen and TV men talk about Bitcoin. People begin to believe in it, and they become a part of this system.

Basically it is because of the demand over the supply which most of us knew. But when the supply runs out. That is the time that the price of bitcoin will increase to an unimaginable price. Lots of people also who thinks they missed a lot of opppurtunities & felt left out but now wants run after the others which increses the demand.

Last year i noticed there is more news about it, so, ppl hear, ppl buy, there is some crazy stories about men, who made crazy profit with it already, so, everyone wants to make "easy money", but no one wanna work, some ppl still afraid of it, because they dont know how that works by technically

Besides your points, i think Bitcoin is fast this year (2017) because is the first crypto.and is largely depended on the demand and supply. This means that high demand and low supply often leads to an increase in the price. Note that bitcoins have a controlled supply whereby the total number of bitcoins in circulation must never be more than 21 million. Due to the limited supply, there are speculations that the bitcoin price will continue to rise with time.

Not someone to my mind, but market at the whole. And at the moment bitcoin costs $15229.76  8) 8) 8)

I  think that bitcoin will grow in the future. I think that in the next couple of years we will see the price for bitcoin 100,000 dollars. How do you think, whether bitcoin will overcome the mark of 20,000 dollars by the New Year?
