I went through your website. Could you tell me please, when are you planing to launch that anti crypto scam website? Thank you.

Anti crypto scam website will be launched within one month, after ICO will be closed.

NO BOUNTIES, NO AIRDROPS = NO COMMUNITY   ;D

Yes there is no team, no white paper, no bounties and no airdrops. All this is officially stated on our website and here in ANN. There are some reasons for that.

1.Almost all ICO's have team members, but who are they ? Nobody knows. Just some guys with profiles on twitter  ;D

2. Almost all ICO's have a white paper, but is it written by team members ? No, in most cases it is purchased. Anybody can buy a good whitepaper for $1500

3. Almost all ICO's have a bounty campaign. Is it effective ? Well  this is a hard question, because only 10 - 15% of ICO websites traffic is coming via facebook and twitter (main bounty campaigns) and there is a danger of a huge dump from bounty campaigns participants at the end of ICO (Price of token is collapsing)

4. Airdrops ? They are mainly used in scammy pump and dump scheme projects.

5. Are bounty and airdrop participants real members of ICO community ? This question is hard to answer.... ;D

CHEERS  ;D

This is a pretty good way to give back to the community by helping build a website that can benefit everyone.

I hope it's like a wiki style website where different people can contribute and it's moderated by the community to help keep it being overloaded by scammers.

Yes, anyone will be able to contribute content and website will be moderated by people appointed via bitcointalk voting poll, so it will be fully decentralized.

It's kind of funny...the name Scam Coin makes me curious to know what it's about. If they called it Anti-Scam Coin, I probably wouldn't have been as curious.

You are right the name is funny  ;D But, tokens supply is very small (Only 380 000) and we do not have any bounty campaigns, so there will be no dump on exchanges after ICO will be closed. For small traders it is a good opportunity to get a good ROI (Return of investment)

Sounds really good. At least this will be related to something really decentralized, because 90% of project have nothing to do with decentralization.

Yes, but if website will be managed by same moderators, it will be definitely out of decentralization.
We will appoint anti scam website moderators every month via bitcointalk voting poll, so we will have different moderators every month. If anybody have a different ideas please post them. We are planing to create a decentralized website to protect crypto investors from scammy and fraudulent projects and decentralization must be the main goal of that website.

This is a really good question. Your application must be accompanied with some kind of proofs, that mentioned project or ICO is a scam. It is much more better to have a link to official scam accusation thread on bitcointalk. After reviewing all info provided by you, appointed moderators will decide about listing that project in website database. I repeat again, if anyone has any suggestions, please post them.

The idea of decentralized anti crypto scam website is perfect, however it must be a good website with reputable moderators. Are you planing to built that website by yourself, or by hiring a developer?
After ICO will be closed, we will hire a developer via announcement on bitcointalk. We will present his offer and all his previous works to community and only after that we will pay him via escrow, to avoid any problems.

You mean that website developer will be chosen by community? That sounds good. I mean, if we will have developers and moderators chosen by community, this will look really decentralized. I like this. But the website structure must be still discussed here.
Yes developers and and moderators will be chosen by community and website structure can be discussed for sure.

Hiring a developer with a help of community and paying him via escrow is a good idea. Appointing mods via bitcointalk polls is a good idea too. But the most important thing is the rules of adding scam projects to that website. We must discuss that issue.

I agree with this. Is there a basic framework you've already identified for the site, or do you need the community to help figure this out as well.

I think something along lines of a BBB site, where community members can contribute would be good. BBB has different categories of "issues", so we could have different categories of common scams. There should also be a mechanism or place for the company to respond or defend themselves and offer a resolution.

if one person run an ICO (let's tell that their idea is good) but failed to reach minimum ICO so the project cancel or delay, much of people that i know will tell it SCAM
actually i agree with this post

Re: bbb.org and ripoffreport.com they are mainly designed for reporting of all kinds of scams. But in Scam Coin case we are talking about crypto scams. And I also would like to know if there is a basic framework already done for website.
Sure, there must be a possibility for accused projects creators to respond and even remove their project from database. We have a framework for website, but as far we are doing it with help of community we will need your help for sure.

BBB structure is a very good suggestion. But the problem of BBB is that it is still centralized and here we are talking about fully decentralized website. Anyway count me in this project. The problem of all that scam ICO craziness must be solved as soon as possible.
That's why we decided to launch this project. Anti crypto scam website will be very useful for crypto community and we will do our best to make it fully decentralized. Now days we have over 4 000 ICO's on market and a lot of them are nothing but a scam.

You got a point. There is only one way to make moderation decentralized. To appoint at least 3 moderators via bitcointalk poll voting. I do not think that it will be easy to manipulate with moderation, when another two persons are watching you. And there must be a possibility of removing a project from the database of anti scam website by presenting reasonable proofs to moderators. Anyway , we have to discuss this issue many times before coming to a final conclusion.

But how can you avoid votes for the moderators being manipulated?

Maybe it has to be done on a rolling basis, so one moderator is voted on every 6 months?

That would also help maintain some continuity if only one can be changed at a time.

Like most people in crypto I have been burned by many scam coins ( heres looking at you VK, DVD Etc for some recent ones) . But I dont think this is the answer. i think a better answer is that we focus on really good coins with strong communities and real ideas with  working coins. Instead of making a scam coin, why not put your efforts into being a part of really great digital currency that can shape the future? Its funny but it will not effect the general public which is one of the main goals of creating awesome digital currency. I love the idea, but maybe you could make an actually awesome digital currency that will attract newbies and reward them with growth and prosperity?

This ICO is mainly designed for creating an anti scam website, but this token could be also good for speculation purposes, because the quantity is very limited and we do not have airdrops or bounty campaigns. No bounties and no airdrops = NO DUMP after listing on exchanges. Building a good crypto currency this days is a big challenge and is very hard to achieve.

You mean multiply accounts voting problem via bitcointalk poll ? Actually I do not see the reason to do that, as far moderators will not receive money for their work. Or will they? OP please reply to this question. Thanks.
P.S. It will be much more better to choose mods every 2 month. (Just my opinion)

I don't think moderators will be paid for their work, but scammers will try to vote themselves in to have control over the site's content.

There definitely has to be moderators, otherwise the scammers would overrun the site with positive comments supporting their project.

Someone made a comment early on that having a couple of permanent moderators is still a form of centralization, so moderators should be replaced on a regular basis. New moderators would be voted in by the community.

My point was if moderators are voted in, it's too easy for scammers to manipulate that process as well by voting in someone who will take down any negative info.

So, my idea was that moderators are voted in on a rolling basis. Every six months (or year) there's a vote to replace a moderator. So if there's 3 moderators, even if a scammer tries to manipulate the process, they would only be able to get in 1 out of 3 moderators at a time. Things could probably still be manipulated over a long period, but at least it becomes more difficult.

Voting for mods on a rolling basis is a good idea. Mods will not be paid and candidates for pols will be chosen from reputable bitcointalk members, so there will be no possibility for scammers to manipulate with voting. The problem is that now days nobody wants to work for free. That's why, if our ICO will raise enough funds, we might be able to pay mods for the first year, or something like this. We are waiting now detailed offers from several developers and we will publish them here, so community can choose the best offer.

First of all I like, that this thread is not spammed, like other 90% of bitcointalk threads, by airdrops and bounty hunters. Healthy discussion is a good sign for any project. Another good thing is that, anti scam website is really needed thing for crypto community, because now days the market is overloaded with fake and scammy ICO's that are designed only for stealing peoples money and enriching their creators. There are also many scam exchanges out there, that are blocking accounts without any explanations and stealing peoples hard earned money. If scam coin project will deliver a good decentralized website with a good scam projects database, it will be a excellent tool for any potential investors. As I mentioned  before, I'm in this project. Good luck and cheers.

Yeah. I'm pleased with how the conversation is progressing. Hopefully, people will contribute to the project as well.

I'm not sure how to deal with the moderation issue in a decentralized way. Any voting mechanism seems like it could be manipulated.

Thanks for the update. Do you expect offers from the developers to be ready by next week?

Do you have any thoughts on these best way to identify a scam?

I think it's also important to figure out how to market the ICO if there's no bounty campaign.

NO BOUNTIES, NO AIRDROPS, NO TRANSLATIONS NEEDED. THANK YOU.
Good day manager,
so if the project is well established how could investors find you. Especially those who are not familiarized with english language? This is the first time see such a confident start-up aiming to solve hack problems only for english users. i can admit that your compititor hacken (ico finished few days ago) has more potentials addressing to the whole community. You should at least translate your channels that assuring a growth community. I will follow this project.

I think it's also important to figure out how to market the ICO if there's no bounty campaign.
Bounty campaigns are not very effective and are bringing not more than 10% of traffic to ICO's website. The biggest danger of bounty campaign are the huge dumps from  campaigns participants after listing on exchanges, that are forcing the token price to collapse. (Please read our ANN more carefully) As you can understand, this dumps are affecting investors more, than ICO's creators. That's why, we avoided bounty campaigns. A lot of people will think, that we are doing everything in a wrong way, but sometimes it is better to ignore standard rules.

Thanks for your question. I will try to explain you why we avoided even translation bounties. If you check big ICO's announcements, you can clearly see, that only English and Russian threads have a big numbers of views. All another threads in different languages have a very small amount of views and there not so many posts out there. Maybe it was our mistake to avoid Russian thread, but the problem is that Russian investors are focusing mainly on big projects and I doubt that they would invest in such a small project like ours.

There is another problem that all ICO's are facing now. CryptoKitties, a game where you virtually buy a kitten to raise it and trade it for coins. It is a game where you actually raise your money. It clogs the system, making the ETH processes much slower than usual. Usually 4 GWEI is needed for the normal process and now the required GWEI is over 40, just for the normal speed. Also the ether delta is affected, The withdraw and deposit function most of the time results to error. Ethereum processes are slow this current time because of that game. Specially for those who are token holders and person who wants to sell their tokens. Some ICO's are even postponed because of this. Just wait and if the situation will not get better then use NEM or Waves for your ICO. This way you will attract more investors for sure.
Switching to NEM or Waves for our ICO is a very bad idea, because mentioned platforms are not popular among investors. If you ask me, it is much more easy to use waves rather than Ehtereum for an ICO, because you don't need any coding skills, but not a lot of people are using waves due to it's unpopularity. Re NEM, I never saw before an ICO  using NEM platform because NEM is still under development. I really hope that Ethereum network problems will be solved in coming days and the gas price will decrease, because otherwise we can consider Ethereum as a potentially dead platform. If a singe blockchain game CryptoKitties can take up to 20% of transaction volume of whole network and slow it down, just imagine what will happen after similar games will be launched? If the situation will not stabilize, all of us will switch to NEM, NXT Bitshares or Waves. We are in negotiations with ripoffreport.com and pissedconsumer.com about partnership, also we are waiting for offers from developers. A lot of news are coming this week. Stay tuned.

Thank you for your suggestions. We really appreciate your support of our project. Actually, we are not planing to list our token on big exchanges. We have already the confirmation from Etherdelta and IDEX and scam coin will be listed immediately after ICO is finished. There is no need for another big exchanges, because there are only 380 000 tokens and Etherdelta and IDEX are more than enough for that volume. Now days it is really hard to build a good community for any crypto project via bounty campaigns, because you have to offer fake "airdrops" that are nothing else, but a scammy and illegal way to bump the project thread and lure investors into fraudulent projects, that are designed only for stealing peoples money. We received dozens of emails asking why we do not run bounty campaigns. We already explained that bounty campaigns are affecting the price of a token very hard, after listing on exchanges, due to huge volume dumps from campaign participants. But may be, just for introducing our project to more people, we will run a very small twitter bounty campaign that will not affect the price of our token. Thank you and stay tuned.

Thanks for your response Sir.
But,
you mention many things in your response that i can't understand very well;
- so you admit that your project is a small one or not that much big when investors should be convainced that your project is a successful one with a lot of potentials.
- translated channels are not only for the ICO but this is for a long term vision when the coin reaches big exchanges and the project have to face competitors.
- am not russian neither english native speaker but i do always read threads about new projects aiming to invest in the best one.
- bounties are not only for ICO promotion but this can assure a growth community with many token holders.

I wish your strategy reaches the planned goals and i will always keep an eye to this thread.
Good luck.

That's good to hear. Twitter can be effective.
We finally decided to launch a twitter campaign this week. Also more news about cooperation with ripoffreport.com and pissedconsumer.com  are coming. Thank you and stay tuned.

Great...I hope it works out well!

NO BOUNTIES, NO AIRDROPS, NO TRANSLATIONS NEEDED. THANK YOU.
Good day manager,
so if the project is well established how could investors find you. Especially those who are not familiarized with english language? As I wrote before, I'm in this project and hope, that devs will deliver a good decentralized anti crypto scam website, which is much more than needed instrument for crypto investors this days, because of enormous amount of scam ICO's, that are appearing daily on the market. Waiting for twitter campaign and for more good news promised by devs. Cheers.

I agree. Although I think it might be more productive if the website framework was fully decided before getting quotes from developers.

Let's try to get back to the discussion of how this would work. I think it's still important that there's a way to vote in good moderators.

We will present a concept of anti scam website this week. Also we are planing to launch a scam coin shop, where scam coins will be accepted. All work will be done by bitcointalk community and this will be the first such project in crypto industry.

I never saw an ICO driven by bitcointalk community members and not by the team. This is something new and challenging. I really  hope that we will succeed in both ways, making a decentralized anti crypto scam website and making some money out of trading scam coin, because if you will look at the market, there are hundreds of huge ICO's with a lot of advertising and hype, but after listing on exchanges, token prices are collapsing and are way behind the ICO prices. Count me in and good luck.

Yes wee need some kind of a framework from OP. Do you have reserved domain for anti scam website? Please be more active, we need some more information of yours.

Twitter bounty campaign to be announced shortly. Offers from developers will be published here within this week. Domains for anti scam website are already reserved and will be published for voting shortly.

Due to Ethereum network overload and because we did not receive offers from developers until now, our ICO is postponed to 20/12/2017.

We shell hire experienced developers with a good portfolio for anti scam website creation. An I doubt that choosing from  bitcointalk community members is a good idea. May be it is better to contact a web developing company and see what can they offer us. I also like that dev is not in hurry to announce a start of ICO and bounty campaign before everything is settled down. Let's do things slowly but surely. If you need any help in imgur advertising, I'm here to help. I have a good experience with imgur.

I think you should also consider being some kind of 'antivirus' of the crypto world to enable investors track the actual SCAM coins (hopefully you're not one of them too), long before they lose money. Most catchy name I've ever seen by the way lol

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. What do you mean they should try to become an anti-virus project?

Just my two cents. I will buy tokens too. 1 Ether will be more than enough for this stage. And thanks for 100% bonus.
Thanks for joining.
