Before this huge growth on bitcoin, I decided to buy some Ethereum. Since the price of ETH is slowly going down with the growth of the BTC, should I sell my Ethereum to buy Bitcoin again? Thank you in advance, Im new to this!

It will be good for you to invest in Bitcoin. ETH is also a good coin, I won’t advise you to sell all ETH to buy Bitcoin. Maybe you can diversify your portfolio and hold 50% each.

Now Bitcoin's price is going up very quickly. Therefore, anyone who wants to increase their capital must buy Bitcoins.

Ethereum is a very good coin and it have the most promising potential to success among altcoins. So your decision about buying Eth was right, you just need to be patient a bit and keep holding your Eth until the price go up again highly.

I don't think it makes any sense to do that move now. You are basically picking the worst possible time to change ETH to BTC. Just two days ago you got 0.04 BTC with one ETH and now you get 0.026 - almost losing half of the gain. If I was you I'd just hold on to my ETH until the ratio gets better. Bitcoin might go down for a big correction any day or it could be some news pushing ETH higher.  It's not like you are holding some toxic asset, ETH is a nice investment as well and the ratio will also move other way. Just last week Bitcoin corrected from 11K+ to less than 9K in one day.

I'm actually thinking of selling some BTC for ETH myself, already sold a little bit to buy my long-term target ADA!

eth and btc is same good but i prefer to get more btc than eth try to sell your eth if you want then go for bitcoin because the value of bitcoin is rapidly increasing i think you will get a huge and more money in bitcoin than ethereum .

That's a good idea and that's why one of the reasons why Ethereum network is congested because people are selling their tokens into Ethereum and selling Ethereum into Bitcoin so people nowadays are aware about Bitcoin's insane jump.
Selling your Ethereum into Bitcoin will give you good profit than staying into Ethereum.

Personally I don't follow hypes and it depends what was your entry point on ETH

I think invest in eth and btc is good for future. You can buy btc but don't sell all your eth to buy btc. If next time eth have high price more than btc you will get many profits :)

The price is not going to have a correction now, it is going to go up for a while until it touches $20 thousand dollars, we all are waiting to see it happening.

When you are ETH holder you will feeling FOMO with BTC it go up up up

When buying, it's better to buy low so that you can later sell high. It all depends on how you think BTC and ETH are going to perform in the future. If you think BTC is going to explode even more, by all means buy some. But generally lower prices are better for getting an entry point. That said, I am long both.

bitcoin has been pumped alot this week and eth has dropped a lot so hard to say if there about to reverse roles or continue.

There seems to be no end to the rise in Bitcoin. The technology is not useable for practical usage besides buying and holding. Perhaps future upgrades to BTC can change that but now it is to be considered the most mainstream currency and that is the only reason why it is still raising in price day in and day out.

There is so much fast money in BTC right now that once a much needed correction comes it will be brutal. It will sadly also be brutal for most other alts.

I'm also thinking of this to sell my ethereum to have btc. But I think the best to buy ethereum these days price is dropping. Both of these coins will only get better in long term so i don't think transfering between these two won't have a dramatic results. Generally bitcoin is better ofcourse but bitcoin's rise can end anytime soon since it reached 15k milestone.

Sell ETH to buy BTC maybe is not the best idea.. try to have some capital into several coins... Market is imprevisible, soo you will never know what is the best for the future, but if you will have both, you will never lose with that  :)

The ETH network is congested while the BTC price is booming. The favor is towards BTC and that's why it is better to keep most of your investment in BTC.

I would strongly suggest you not to sell the ETH to invest in BTC, it is not a good idea. No doubt that BTC is the king of crypto currencies still there is place for others and ETH is a better option. The price will gradually rise up.

The ratio of ETH/BTC as around 0.045 couple of days before. Now it decreased very very dramatically down to 0.025 and this is not the right time for selling your eth to get btc. You will get less eth now.

I heard that there will be 3 hard forks in December include Super Bitcoin, Bitcoin Platinum, and Bitcoin cash plus. Therefore, maybe they will release free coins for who is holding Bitcoin. I think that sell ETH to buy Bitcoin is a good idea.

I do not have much idea regarding this maybe you should examine your profit in return between eth and btc. As far as I know btc is number one and number 2 is eth in strong possibility.

In my opinion, ethereum and bitcoin are the best choices for long investments. Both of them have good potential for the future, but Btc rose much more than ethereum in the near past. So, maybe it can be a good choice that selling a small part of ethereum to buy bitcoin.

In such conditions, as it is today, in my opinion, if you want to preserve capital, invest in ETN . If you want to participate in the upcoming fork so invest in BTC . The choice is yours.

I don't think that you want to sell your ethereum right now because the price is dropped too far. you only need to hold for a while and you can buy ethereum again while the price is low. now, ethereum is sold at $0.02x btc and it is the lower price since the ethereum reach a higher price. if you can hold and wait until the price increase back, then in that time, you can make a big money because I am sure that ethereum will increase again but the choice is up to you.

This cryptokittys is the reason why transaction is clogging up. Do you think that they created this kittys so that client have nothing to do but to increase the gas limit for transaction to be confirmed and okay?. Because untill now

Ethereum value are largely increase this year, if you notice on the past 6months this coin are continues raising up. I think this coin are reach $500 before end of this year, this coin is one of the most promising coin in crypto currency community. For me it's better if you hold your ethereum instead of selling this to buy bitcoin, because this altcoin have own strategies on how they increase their selling.

I will advise you not to do that as the ethereum you are saying is going down today will definitely going to pump one day that you will be regreting why you sell it or flip it for bitcoin. Bitcoin is doing very well now no doubt but we should still remember the law of gravity that said what ever go up most come down and vice versa. One day bitcoin is going to take bearish position and buy then funds are going to flows back to ethereum market. I have been following ethereum pricing from $25 to now that is around $480 and I can really tell you that, ethereum has one of the stable price in cryptocurrency market.

If you want to send your ETH to your wallet, forget about ETH as you won't be able to send it. It is better to have BTC i think. I guess that's not a good idea since ethereum also has a potential altcoin.The value might be low now due to the problem it encountered lately like "cryptokitties"  but it slowly recovers to +4.92% at this moment. It's still good to hold and invest ethereum, it do still have a good value and a chance to grow more in the future.

Why sell ethereum when it want to goes up. I think now is time for bitocoin to retrace and ethereum to goes up. And all erc20 token will be up too. Hold your ethereum untill the end of year or buy another token arc 20 or buy dollar instead untill bitcoin creat its new support.

I think it's a good if you stay keep holding, keep remain confident & optimistic on Eth that you invest, I'm still pretty sure it's going to get back on the green after a certain time, just be patient on it.

Bitcoin and ethereum are both good investment. If you prefer to sell more of your ethereum just to buy bitcoin then there's no wrong decision on that matter. Bitcoin remain on the top and still increasing the value and hitting 20,000 dollars last few days. Even bitcoin value temporally go down it doesn't mean that you will not earn good profit in holding it.

I should say "NO". Eth has its price surging now from 420$ last week to 740$ today. That's a good price hike of an alternate coin so i think, you should hodl your ETH or better yet, invest more. As to bitcoin, it's market price also falls a bit today and it's worth keeping eye on it because it's time to invest on it too if its market price will go down more.

As you can see the price bitcoin is higher than eth but it does not mean Bitcoin grow up faster than Eth. Bitcoin rise 16 times since January but Eth rise 70 times, so you should keep Eth to get bigger profit.

you got some point but still bitcoin is still higher and more profitable when compared to etherium. people nowadays especially newbies are only going for bitcoins because they see that bitcoin is a hell much valuable than etherium or any other coins though if your trader and not new to crypto then you know that etherium is still worth to hold because it has some advantage that bitcoin doesnt have like stable price and it can also act as a gas when sending or conerverting your tokens on some online exchnage.

Just hold your ethereum and don't rush all things, ethereum price increases slowly and having its own shine in cryptocurrency world. Yes bitcoin price is huge at the moment and good to invest if you newbie in this industry but don't sleep on ethereum that gradually rising in the past few weeks, and like bitcoin it's safe to invest on ethereum too because of its development every year. I hope they add more features on ethereum for more people to invest here. So holding ethereum is a good way if you want huge earning in the future.

if you want to possibly increase your potential income then sell your eth or any other coins and token and put all your eggs in one basket which is in bitcoin to be able to earn much more profit in just a matter of short time. before im also a trader and altcoin investor but when i see that bitcoin is still rising i then decided to to completely sell all my alt portfolio and then i swith directly to bitcoins and now i can see that i have made a descent amount income but still im not yet contented that is why im still buying more bitcoins.

I hope you didn't sell your ethereum to buy bitcoin. Ethereum is around $730 now and it doesn't look like it will stop. I know bitcoin's rise got attention of us all but it doesn't make sense to buy bitcoin when it's that close to crash. Also when ethereum starts to stall it could be a good idea to get rid of it to get max profit.
