Why altcoins price going down now?

Title: Re: Altcoins prices

Probably Ether and tokens based on erc2 are going down because of transactions delays caused by cryptokitties.
Another assumption is that : Now we have Bitcoin price near 17k and is day by day is rising more and more, some of altoins holders have decided to leave altcoins and going only to bitcoin. These are just assumptions

But the price of coins went to the top. Morning fall, growth in the afternoon. This is the norm

One of the main reasons for altcoin prices being down are due to Bitcoin chasers.  People selling off their altcoins due to Bitcoin prices rising.  This can end up being a ugly situation for them if Bitcoin tanks rapidly and altcoins start to moon.  The result will look like they sold altcoins at the bottom to buy Bitcoin at the top.

Why altcoins price going down now?
It looks another correction and you should not feel worry about that. Because there is no strong fundamental to make the price of the altcoin gets plunged a lot just like the kind of the new that ban the altcoin.
As far as i know about these majority of the altcoin holders are moving to the bitcoin.
But some altcoin still in the bullish trend in this time and what's wrong with it?
Because not all of the altcoin going down.

Why altcoins price going down now?

Actually most are going up now towards where they were before, bitcoin shot up about 20-30% yesterday and so people rush to sell their alts and buy bitcoin. That is the only reason I can think of. Others may be down for other reasons but that's a reason for the whole market generally to fall.

Why altcoins price going down now?

on my opinion the reason altcoin prices are down now its because people focusing to bitcoin investment we should all know people unexpecting bitcoin double the investment interest for continuation of price incrase in the marketcap.

Some are going down because of bitcoins very high price increase and can’t keep up with it. They are selling most of their coins even if they are on lose and buy bitcoin instead.

That's really what's happening with most of the investors, they were holding bitcoins for a long time and that idea of having a goal of earning bigger amounts of sell when price gained very well. The better idea for that is you should control emotions and don't just sell your holdings immediately because by the time you earn millions of fiat cash which became frustrating of not grabbing bigger values, that would be a stressful thing which could regret you more.

That's right. Many people have set their eyes on bitcoin and that has affected how altcoins have been dealt with across the market. It has also been a reason that compared to altcoins where there are new ones every other time, bitcoin is the sole main crypto that holds value. The more value it carries, the more  negatively it affects other cryptos.

Now the price of alts is not stable and the reason for this is bitcoin. People see that steadily grows only Bitcoin and therefore want to make your investment safe.

Title: Re: Altcoins prices
Post by: DiabolicAnt on December 09, 2017, 09:27:57 AM
The reason is that currently BTC is unstable and it eats a part of alt's capitalization from time to time; BTC jumps in price = alts jump in price.

Title: Re: Altcoins prices
Post by: lolchina on December 09, 2017, 09:46:32 AM
Reason for it is that bitcoin is unstable and his price was going up fuled buy cme group listing it,this caused movement of money that would usualy go to alts to go to btc instead. After that people were cashing out their alt position(even with loss in some cases) fueling the price of btc up and alts going down. Now we have bad news coming out from all the sides that btc futures wont be such a good thing and money os going back to alts,i would say that we will know where we are at monday

maybe because of ethereum network problem or traffic, people holding altcoins and tokens dumping in such a low price and the continuing rise of bitcoin.

What I can say is that people still don't trust all these ALtcoins to be a store of value for them, thisis the role that BTC has played well, though I believe there will be a price correction coming but not the way some Altcoins prices have plummeted from their ATH

Yes, I agree that altcoin does not trust the masses, but everything has its time. This is just the beginning and I think people will understand the value of all this.

There are two possible cause why altcoins are falling and couldn't even be or a third or a quarter standard compares to Bitcoin. they could be.
The first; the developers are neglecting their coins. After ICO, some developers don't do much to update this coins just because they have gotten their stipulated estimated amount from investors.
The second; the developers of this coins don't market their coins. I believe that coins which are vigorously marketed has the potential of attracting big investors to invest in them, and thus, causing growth.

Why altcoins price going down now?
first reason why altcoins price is going down is because the price of bitcoin now is raising this is because the demand is all in bitcoin. all the altcoins has been exchange for bitcoins. but dont worry because this is the right time to buy altcoins and when the price of the bitcoin lower. the altcoins will rise up.

if the there is a good coin that will surpass the demand of bitcoin.

Probably many alts investor turned their holding back to Bitcoins-related assets as they are more prone to pump with recently bullish rally of BTC peaked at $17,000. Litecoin, bcc for example you see had enjoy a 50%+ ride these days, but generally from my speculation alts are just that sensitive and would prone to movement against bitcoin's price. ERC20 token which consisted much of alts bleed as their main Ethereum suffered some issues with that catty game, it might indicate investor suggest things aren't that reliable within their network.

Like any other asset (stock or property), the price of this digital currency can also rise and fall rapidly. In principle the altcoin price is the same, ie there must be a deal between the offer price (the price of the people who sell) and the price of the request (the person who buys).

My idea about this problem lies within the cryptokitties clogging the system of transactions in ETH. That game causes large delay in the transaction process. We cannot process the deposit and withdraw function in ether delta because of the overdue time it takes to process, in addition large value of GAS in GWEI is used up to cover for the fee. So, in short most buyers tends to buy bitcoin now for which the transaction costs less, and less time consuming compare now to altcoins.

Maybe we'll see some fixes to their scaling issues soon.
Or else maybe something like a side chain could be used for cryptokitties.

It's because bitcoin pump and pump. And then, etherum network is very full transaction now. Etherdelta and erc-20 going down, because cryptokitties games.

They're not? They've only decreased by 1-2% maximum and that's normal in a 1 hour span. The thing you have to know about the crypto market is that it's going to be hella volatile. It can swing 50-75% in a day without any indication. Something like this is normal and you shouldn't worry about it. Just look at the top 10:

Seems fine to me.

When bitcoin pumps people sell alts for bitcoin and most alts are tokens based on ethereum so they suffer when there are problems with its network. Overall though the falls are just temporary.

many factors cause altcoin to become red in the market. one of the main factors is that of the bitcoin price increase, surely someone else will exchange it with bitcoin. this is why altcoin becomes plummeted.
all you have to do is, be patient and hold it.

But wait, now bitcoin is going down too far and people panic the crypto bubble may be true so alts take a little dump too  :P this volatility is just so common now that it's not even a concern for most people. OP just wait it out and your alts will recover

Well, I can not say that all the altcoins are falling. The big half of the coins I'm following now go up. However, if you look at the price not in dollars, but in bitcoins. And you bought these coins for bitcoins, then of course their growth is not enough and you are losing. The price of bitcoin is too high. Therefore, I do not look at the price on the BTC lately so as not to get upset.

I would say, altcoins have started growing up. We have all top altcoins grow high in last two to three days. It has driven more investors into altcoins. The growth of bitcoin has effected investors look at other crypto currencies believing crypto currencies will have good growth and turn over.

Why altcoins price going down now?
The continuing increase of bitcoin price gives a huge impact to all altcoins prices. A huge pump of bitcoin is a huge dump of altcoins in opposite. This is the biggest dump of altcoins so far, but I'm just believing that it will recover gradually and bring back more investors to trust altcoins potentiality as investment.

Title: Re: Altcoins prices

Altcoin prices are varying and not all the altcoins go down. Bitcoin growth is causing instability in the altcoin market and it is suppressing their growth and in some cases, it is utterly destroying some altcoins. Many altcoins are struggling in the market and are awaiting the stabilization of the Bitcoin for them to move forward to their potential. Right now the market is balancing very hard and every altcoin is unbalanced. Small altcoins with low potential are removed and trading day by day is the best option right now. Altcoins will rise for sure next year we must just keep our patience steady till it happens.

Title: Re: Altcoins prices

Bitcoin rise up and altcoins fall down is a common thing, because traders and investors always allocate their investment on bitcoin or altcoins at different time stamp depend on the price, whenever bitcoin reach the peak, it will start to drop back due to people cash out and the funds switch to altcoins.
But some altcoins seem stable and increase as well such as ethereum, litecoin and monero because these coins have real usability in the market.

is day by day is rising more and more
I just love this phrase, which has been used to inflate so many limpid posts--no offense, dude.

Prices in every market go up and down.  Right now there's a little correction happening, and it's to be expected.  There's no other rational explanation that I've ever heard except for market forces in action, i.e., people buying and selling, i.e., supply & demand.  Demand for crypto has been crazy high for some time, but people take their profits off the table and cash out, and when they do, prices drop a little.  But this bull market is far from over--you'll see.  Get in (or back in) now and enjoy the rise.  I'm 90% sure of what I'm talking about.  Nothing is ever certain.

It's connected to Bitcoin. With all the hardforks in line these months, everyone is throwing everything, but the kitchen sink into Bitcoin, so people sell their alts to have more Bitcoin, and to profit from additional tokens with every hardfork.

Why altcoins price going down now?
Some altcoins are going down maybe because of the demand. If few people are using altcoins, then they need to lower the price so that more people will be attarcted to invest and buy altcoins. Someway, due to bitcoin's influence in the market, some altcoiners are also shifting ti bitcoin because of its high value and price.

In the present market of virtual currency we have observed a lot of altcoins prices encountering fluctuations and variation on a regular basis. However, even if altcoin prices are varying, it is not always that we see a stable downward trend on the price graph. The growth of the Bitcoin prices are causing instability in the altcoin market and it is suppressing the price growth of the other altcoins. In a few extreme cases the altcoins are getting utterly destroyed. Many altcoins are struggling in the market and are awaiting the stabilization of the Bitcoin for them to move forward to their potential. Right now the market is trying their best to balance and stabilize every altcoin with unbalanced pricing. Consequently, we can predict with tolerable variance and keep our patience steady till the point price of maximum Altcoins rise shortly.

probably because the stock market cryptocurrency is experiencing a decline such as china and korea that stop activity in its cryptocurrency.

most of the bitcoin and altcoin have a drastic decrease but that is only its temporary nature.

its time to buy bitcoin / altcoin now because it will experience a price increase back in the middle of the year. because of the decline of almost 70% of the market shares of cryptocurrency certainly a lot of stuck at a very high price but surely they will hold to wait for the stock market back to normal.

and now a lot of big coins will hold interesting events for world investors. and many want to cooperate with companies etc.
