s9 - 14th = $1415 a761 - 8.8th = $1400 Sure seems like a no brainer to me. Even if your S9 arrived with a dead board it is still a better value than this machine. When you consider you also need a controller to run the Avalon the deal gets even worse. What a disappointment. But the group buy got frozen, Canaan did not want to accept BTC payment. The announcement is out - looks like 821 and 841 will have external power, and the 861 will have integrated power (like the 761). Pricing is unclear at the moment. 921 and 10 is also mentioned, but too far away for now, I guess. PSU included, much better Avalon reliability included, but apparently aimed at the China market ONLY. Then you get to factor in the HUGE price jump on the last S9 batch, though that did happen after your post. |
