I have already Purchased  ETH,NXT,XRP,START. When BTC starts to go down and down, what happened to those coins ?

ETH and XRP is a good choice and do you plan to buy some more of it or other altcoins to add to your investment?


Then these coins are going to start pumping as that's the effect of it when bitcoin is getting dump, other altcoins are pumping in opposite of that action.

I don't think BTC will go down and down the way you make it to sound, the price might flattend out for sometime but alot of people will not be selling their BTC for peanut as the recent incidence has thought us

They will decrease in value too a little, but you should know that every currency price is backed with bitcoins, if bitcoin goes very much up the price in bitcoins is less, but in dollars is probobly more than before... every cryptocurrency goes up with bitcoin, because bitcoin is a measure coin exspecially when trading between other currencyes.

I'm sure that ETH, Ripple and Stratis are very good for long term investment. But Nxt seems not so well at your list. I'd like to remove it. What concerns the BTC correction I guess the whole market will suffer.

I too think that ETH and XRP are good choices but anything other than that in your list is prone to rapid devaluation after the speculative circle of that specific crypto ends. All ICOs tend to go through this if they become successful more or less.

Most likely, altcoin prices will go down as well when BTC price goes down. But it is a good time to buy more to add to your portfolio when it happen.

You should have a strong reason to buy an altcoin - and a strong reason to sell them. What drove you to purchase those in the first place? I think diversification is key, but there is some correlation between the price of BTC and the rest of altcoins.

You have chosen good coins. Even if they start to fall in price - do not panic. Go have tea and walk outside. Nothing urgent need to sell. You have stable coins, they will always be in price. Come back to this in a month and see how they grew up.

I know that XRP has value but I'd prefer XLM as more cheap alternative with more potential. As for the NXT I think it's good option to hold before airdrop IGNIS. After that I wait for the big correction. And I 'd change NXT to ARDR  right before airdorop of IGNIS as more interesting blockchain with side-chains.

Yeah, you have a strong heart and emotion having a self confidence to buy aaltcoins which means you try to gamble if it will be successful or not. Well, definitely most of us want to have profit on the kind of altcoins that we have. Somehow, bitcoin is also unpredictable that may change time to time, which the altcoins will also affected. All the coins in your portfolio is not bad. If you have a lot of these altcoins, I would recommend the part to keep long time. As a part of trading. I am not familiar with the other two coins but as for xrp and eth, i believe it is worth taking a risk holding on to these coins. These coins are good for long term investment, though there value maybe dancing a little bit due to fluctuations, but i am pretty sure you will gain some profit if you hold these coins for long term.

Yes it is worth to hold these altcoins. I hope these altcoins needs no big investments. These altcoins will not rise unless and otherwise something happens to bitcoin. Why people shifted to bitcoins because they were tired of low incomes from other investment tools. One day if anything like this will happen with bitcoins, investment flow will get diverted to altcoins. We can do one more thing, instead of doing fresh investments; we can divert some profit of bitcoin investments towards these altcoins. Which will have good returns in future.

there are several factors that make bitcoin prices down , one of them by comparing bitcoin price with smallest value btc, not with dollars or real money . if you want to make a profit by calculating satoshi value of altcoin, you should eliminate $ element in altcoin you will invest, and vice versa .

It seems to me ,that now it is difficult to say what will happen to the altcoins, if the price of bitcoin is constantly falling. Firstly, with bitcoin, this is most likely not to happen. And secondly, when the bitcoin price falls, many traders come out of the altcoins because they want to buy a cheap bitcoin. And so the price of altcoin will also start to decline.

They might drop their fiat value as well, because right now all this respectable coins are rocketing along bitcoin's move, considering nxt was at 0.006 cents last year and now almost a dollar, I would be migrating some capital into newer  promising coins, always a small percentage first but your holdings  might drop their fiat value and correct their bitcoin value so you have to be prepared to make a decision to protect your capital.

However, you are right in a way that at first alts, will start doing well and getting pumped, but it usually do not last as some alts gets thrown inside BTC once it is about forming some bullish signals which usually affect them.

When you are holding some pretty good coins and irrespective of what happens with bitcoin, it is best to know that they will end up doing pretty well in the market later on. Every altcoin are usually impacted by bitcoin huge bearish tendency and as long as you understand that you are not holding a shit coin, there is no point being scared. ETH hasn't gone much up as compared to other highly large cap coins. ETH should be valued more or at least equal to DASH. It can easily rally up to 0.065 from here.

NXT holders are getting IGNIS airdrop by Dec end. This can easily pump the price near Christmas and if you entered before 17th Dec, then you made a real good entry. NXT can go 7k sats from here.

XRP can FOMO hard from here. It has been stable for many days now and as Coinbase would be listing it. It can go 2x from here by the end of Dec.

I think it is still worth holding these coins for long term, and they are good choises, they have potential. For sure bitcoin will rise again and and of course these coins too. So i suggest you to hold them until you get enough profit form them.

ETH yes but XRP isn't a real crypto, it is just a centralized currency which still has most of its supply unreleased and it doesn't even have any good decentralized features whatsoever.

I'd recommend to focus on the smaller ones... zrx, knc and so on. But if you are not an ico-type of investor, but more like a long-time holder - ETH is totally the best option for you, I think. Also Bitcoin Cash showed tremendous growth lately.

Yes, it is worth to hold as of this very moment. The value of bitcoin goes down as much as 30% from its peak value and I still holding it as much as I can as I believed it will come back to its stabilized value. Also, I invest some of my own money to buy a bitcoin as I still believed it can have a good profit in the future as well as the bitcoin that I hold. I think so, plus you have Eth on your list which is one of the stronger altcoins around, therefore, you are safe if you would invest in that. Maybe you can add Waves, Dash, and Litecoin on your list not because it's in mine, but because many other people actually believe and recommend those altcoins, especially for future investments. One thing to consider though is your goal in terms of holding on to those coins. If you want a long term one, then it can be anybody's game because market trends many changes over time. However, if you only want a short term thing, then you should choose one that is easier to market and to trade for a profit even if it's just small.

As what I have experience in trading when Bitcoin down some of the altcoins up but there are times that it goes down as well. In the side of the altcoins that you invested I know bout eth,next and xrp and I believe it is nice coins to hold but not familiar with start yet.

On my own experienced definitely yes, as of this very moment I hold my bitcoins even it was already fall of about $11,000 and already reached as of this month december as much as $20,000. On that case some were already panic due to its fall but some people like me are holding because as I believed that it will increase and I'm waiting on that time since I'm always updated from time to time because we can't predict its value so much better being update is the best way.

We got spoiled with this 30x mooning coins. Slight grow like 20-50% is not exiting anymore. But this to the moon could happen only with few coins. But one like top 10 will grow slowly. Iota was a big disappointment for me recently, but I'm still holding it. It could give that still nice +20-30% profit.

I think you made a smart move when you divided your investment. BTCs fee is really high at the moment, so a lot of people will go to altcoins. But i don't think that BTCs price will go down. BTC have impact on altcoins price because it is main and leading crypto. But if people decide to buy a lot of one altcoin, well that will bust price of that altcoin. So Altcoin and BTC are connected, but not entirely.

It's worth holding, and this decrements in price of bitcoin is not constant it is prone to changes because of its volatility nature, you might sell now and increase the next moment, just hold up and wait for the best time to sell all this.

Ethereum is worth holding but still I'm getting disappointed that the fee per transaction on Ethereum network is now getting higher higher because of too many pending transactions. I do love ethereum because of its fast and low fees transactions but now everything is changing since the gas price is now increasing. NXT is good to hold But now the price is under 1 USD. I hope few days late will be more than 1 USD. it is profitable coins to hold because with low cash you can have a lot ot NXT. I made more than 200 USD profit by holding NXT with low cash.

Holding the coin you have mentioned is decision you will have to decided for yourself.  Nobody can get get  you to s point where you will feel you are doing the right thing holding your coin.  Ethereum however has general consensus as to it rising in value this year.

If you buy ethereum & nxt when the price are in the dip so this is a good choose to hold for long term I dont think if the other altcoin you said have a bright future must better if you buy monero, eos & ada hold it for long term and Im sure this altcoin have a great developer to improve there product to shine.

From this list I can distinguish two coins. Ethereum and Stratis. I am confident that this year the eth will catch up bitcoin on capitalization. Stratis has a lot of news in the first quarter of 2018. Very good coins, in my humble opinion.

I would recommend you to buy some Waves also. They're hell stable with the price and one day they're going to give you a huge income. Just monitor the Waves on exchanges and buy them if they would go a bit down with the price.

Well, it is a nice combination of investment portfolio which in time to come will definitely yeild good return on your investment even if is not all that will turn out positive with the same percentage of profit but at least to some extent you will make more than triple of your investment.

In my opinion ethereum depends little on the price of bitcoin.
Ethereum is growing, and bitcoin is falling. I think that ethereum will grow in price even faster than bitcoin in the near future.

When the times bitcoin will low the value i will hold some of my altcoins because it will goes up when bitcoin price is going to dip. Like bitcoin is in the top list and its value is very profitable you better hold these too.

Etherium and Ripple are good coins. I am not sure about the others you listed. In fact I am not sure in all of them. Definitely can not say they are woth it. You can only say that when you succeed in gaining profits from them. The eisk is their but I see minimal risk on coin listed top in the coinmarketcap.

Every coin have their own advantage and disadvanatage so if you had hold those coin , make sure that you've join their community so you can aware their progress and able to predict next value in the future.

That's a good altcoin for a long tern hold because they have potential that can increase his value in this year 2018. However, for me i prefer for ETH and XRP because everyone know that altcoin is they have a good future when it comes to profit of holding.

We all do not know for sure the price will go up or not, so to say worthy or not worth it depends later on, NXT just fall what used to be feasible, cryptocurrency is decentral so you have to see market and news in order to speculate.

I suggest getting rid of NXT when you cover ur lost. They're moving to Ardor and Ignis. I'm so glad that I force my FOMO feeling to shut up and didn't buy NXT for Ignis airdrop. I was about to buy it around 1.5 $ if not mistaken. Quick dudes made a profit no doubt, but I'd end up losing. Also, Ignis futures dropped really hard!

in nxt indeed many are stuck with the price of yesterday and because of ignis. but in my opinion nxt does not close possibility will rise again. meamang we must be patient when it has bought a lot

I only have knowledge of XRP and ETH from your list, if the other coins have already put you into profit then they should be worth holding. It is always a good strategy to remove some or all of your intial investment when the opportunity presents itself.

Etherium is the best choice to hold for a long term investment and i am choosing for more than 10 coins to hold for this year for long term like iota and some other coins i am doing some research after i will invest to this tokens.

all of the coins will be increased and sometimes all of the coins will be follow down like bitcoin. but all your coin has potential to be a long-term investment, the coins will be increasingly higher. iota is good too and maybe you need to search the info about the coins. so far, your coins could be good for a long-term investment.

i think you have a good coins in your pocket. but maybe bitcoin not start going down and down, its just matter of time because bitcoin is promises crypto currency. bitcoin will raise soon so many people hold they coin and dont use it or trade.

I think that you just need to wait for the market to recover. You have a good portfolio, so you do not need to withdraw funds. Altcoins are no longer so strongly attached to bitcoin, especially for ethereum.

Ethereum is surely a good one however for xrp i have a doubt on it as there was a big players more than a whales the banks who have a lot of xrp. Start coin? Maybe he misspelled it the nearest possible coin is Stratis/Strat is also one of the best investment to accumulate on it is not that pump much and it will expand more. Then if bitcoins go down more altcoins will go down but this coins will bounce fast than other alts.

From this list STRAT will definetely going to give You good profits in long term. I doubt the returns of eth and xrp but I am pretty sure You will not have any losses from those two solid and stable coins. Anyway better to buy some Alts in huge dips which can make at least 300% increase by btc value  in the next Alts season.

Yes some of coins are worth to hold because there value little by little become higher so they really worth it. I suggest to you to choose the best coin and have potential so that you when you hold it you will never regret to hold it. Also holding is the one of the good way to grow your coins when there's a price falling, just hold and wait to rise the value.

You should have a strong reason to buy an altcoin - and a strong reason to sell them. What drove you to purchase those in the first place? I think diversification is key, but there is some correlation between the price of BTC and the rest of altcoins.

The coins themselves are alright, other than Ripple. It was the timing you bought them at which was essentially local ATHs or ATHs which obviously will be bad. You have to decide for yourself whether you can stomach the time it will take to get out from being down, because if the market grows and your coin doesn't die, good chance you can sell for profit. All depends on how much risk you can stomach.
