Quote
BitQuick.co is a service that connects buyers and sellers to their bank accounts.

Why use BitQuick.co?

» Buy Bitcoins instantly with cash deposit or SEPA transfer from sellers with bitcoin already in escrow for a low 2% fee

» Sell Bitcoins for cash deposited directly into your bank account for 0% fee

» Customize your sell order price, allow incremental filling of your order and specify minimum order amount (no enforced minimum!)

» Know youre safe with an SSL Certified Domain, daily server backups and offline storage of private keys

----------
FAQ:
How do the fees work?

We simply subtract our fee from the Bitcoin amount before we send it to the buyer. Our fee is currently 2% during our launch special until August 9th.

How does escrow work?

We hold the Bitcoins for you until you confirm receipt of funds in your account. Only when you advise us of this are the Bitcoin released. You can optionally use a 3rd party escrow but please contact us if this is the case.

Can I withdraw my BTC from escrow?

Contact support with your modification PIN to cancel a sell order and have funds released back to you. This carries a flat .02 BTC fee.

What currency do I use if outside the United States?

Orders are bought and sold at the price listed in the currency used in the country of origin. So if an order is listed in EU or CA for $/BTC: 64, that would be 64 EUR or CAD per BTC.

Can I use you guys to launder money?

Not a chance. Any suspicious holds, especially larger transactions, may be subject to government issued photo identification. This is only subject to BitQuick.co discretion. Failure to present identification upon request can result in Bitcoin funds not being released.

How do I contact you?

All contact with BitQuick.co is through orders@bitquick.co (http://"mailto:orders@bitquick.co"). Please feel free to contact us with any questions or issues you may have!

Check out our wiki page: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/BitQuick.co

Follow us on Twitter (http://"http://twitter.com/bitquickco") or Facebook (http://"http://facebook.com/bitquickco")

Reason I ask is my credit union aint on the sell list =P

In order to do an ACH transfer, all you need is the routing and account number essentially.. So... this wouldn't be too difficult to implement.

My concern is that ACH takes 2-5 days and is reversible. BuyBitcoin.us emphasizes getting your BTC within 1 business day.

As an alternative, you could withdraw some of the cash from your credit union and buy in cash at another bank.

If you wanted to sell, I would recommend opening a separate bank account for selling purposes anyway because some banks view BTC trading as a high risk activity. So in case anything happens, your personal bank is unaffected.

edit: At that, you can still list your credit union if you want and sell from it (although we both understand that this significantly limits your customer base to wherever your union has branches). Just PM, email or post the name of your bank/credit union, and I'll add it right away!

I figured this service would be in much higher demand.

What is holding you back from using BuyBitcoin.US?

I honestly believe this is the quickest, simplest and most secure method of obtaining bitcoin on the market today.

9 more BTC for sale by JP Morgan Chase at $100 USD / BTC.

I'm really not interested in your spam advertising, and I don't trust your service.  Given the way you dump your spam on every thread you can find, I fully expect that you are pushing a scam that will eventually run off with all the bitcoins that you have "escrowed" when you think you have enough to make it worth it.  I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

First of all, we are NOT spammers. We have only posted in threads where our service is relevant. If you post a [WTB] thread for cash deposit, it is fair game for me to offer my BTC for sale. Calling us spammers is unfair and just incorrect by definition.

Danny, I have a 500 BTC sell order right now from Canada. If I'm not about to run with $50,000, I'm not sure what will convince me to run!

Not only that, we are a legitimate business. Our domain is SSL certified, verifying the legitimacy of our organization (724 Leads LLC) which is a registered business in Ohio in good standing since 6/29/2012. If we ran with any BTC, everyone would be able to find us, prosecute us, and throw us in jail for theft.

I feel like the skeptics aren't even giving us a chance. Every business has to start new at one point. Doesnt mean we are a scam just because we are new.

So, Bitcointalk, I ask you, how can we help you feel safer with us?

We are trying to be as transparent as possible with all operations. We are here for the long-haul and want to build a reputation.

Registered on this forum just to post on this thread, after reading it yesterday I wanted to give it a shot because it looked legit and I thought it was a very good idea. Just wanted to comment and say I did a $100 buy last night, and I had coins in my wallet in about an hour and a half. Very easy. Easier than bitinstant if you ask me. I've been using btc for a little over a year and this is the easiest I've ever obtained them. I will be doing another order for a larger amount of money today and will report back on how it goes. Also the support staff from BuyBitCoin.us e-mailed me very promptly throughout the process confirming my order.. they even, accidentally, e-mailed me on their personal e-mail so I have their full name and e-mail address lol. They are definitely not scamming lol. Anyway, just my $.02, I will update after my order later today.

We appreciate the kind words Groov!  :) Looking forward to processing your next order too.

Guys, we have 500 BTC for sale in Canada by BMO and ~20 BTC for sale at JP Morgan Chase and 4 BTC at US Bank!

edit/update:
In order to try and increase buyer/seller confidence, the BuyBitcoin.US owner is looking to verify his identity with mods and/or hero members (5 to be specific).

We are paying 0.1 BTC per verification, with 0.2 BTC for the first person to take us up on that.

Aaaaand second order completed of $150. Absolutely no problems. I noticed a listing had a few btc for about $75 each. I promptly ordered them, and when the support department replied, they said it was a mistake that they were listed at $75 but STILL FILLED MY ORDER. So basically I just bought bitcoins for $75 each. Wow! Excellent customer service. This is my new go to place to buy bitcoins. If anyone wants to pm me for more info or to ask me any questions go ahead!

Also, our Buy page is now sortable by price per BTC. We apologize for not having that functionality sooner.

We still have 494 BTC for sale in Canada and ~40 BTC for sale in the USA!

Most banks are closed Sunday (although there are BMO branches in Canada open today!), so we look forward to processing orders on Monday :)

Also, we are currently in the process of verifying the identity of the owner of BuyBitcoin.US with tldoctor https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=138866.0 This report will be released to 5 hero members and/or moderators. Please contact me if interested, willing to pay 0.1 BTC per person who receives the report.

Bug affecting minimum order amount has been fixed.

In the works right now is the option to set your price dynamically based on Mt. Gox last price and a more efficient administration system to process orders more quickly. No fixed ETA yet.

Before thinking it's a good idea to build your own platform, I suggest learning web security basics. And turning off debug logging on prod.

You could have done this without abusing the website. Anyway, lets break it down for you. You're making the situation seem more dangerous than it really is. This post is completely over-sensationalized. The only financial information stored on the server are the account and routing numbers. Even if the server were compromised, BTC could NOT be withdrawn from the escrow accounts. All escrow accounts are stored in cold wallets, private key is not on the server.

You were right on your first example, all error reporting should be disabled. That has been modified accordingly. Still, nothing sensitive is displayed below.

This error has been fixed. Unless you get extremely intricate, you cannot place a buy on an order if the buy amount is less than the minimum sell amount. Once again, nothing sensitive or dangerous happening below. Just someone abusing the script making a small mess to clean up in the database.

Only you (the person placing the fake sell order) would ever receive that email. That is not a security vulnerability.

Even if you got full access to the server, you would not be able to make ANY financial gain from it. BTC cannot be withdrawn.

You have also been banned from accessing the website due to a blatant disregard of the terms of service.

And I did like the "security consult" you sort of ran on us for free. Check your PM inbox, would be interested in your services perhaps.

How would you all feel about the implementation of cash in mail and/or money orders?

Only problem with cash in mail is receipts. Also, when would the price be determined?

Yes but the same risk is taken each time your write a check. How do you believe the current system could be improved Aseras?

I am considering adding support for cash in mail and money orders. Dynamic pricing would also be added then and the price of the BTC would be determined at the time of receiving the cash based on the Mt. Gox Average at the time.

Then sellers don't have to give up too much information. Ideas on the implementation of this feature are appreciated.

Great, except now there's a new problem.

Order #87712280 has a minimum buy of 2.4btc, except there is precisely 2.39999985695 BTC for sale, so I can't place a hold because it's impossible to meet the minimum. Might want to make sure things like this don't happen to orders in the future...

Fixed that as well for now. Has something to do with the number being a float value. Will be exact soon.

Yep, it's in the FAQ. You will be charged a flat 0.05 BTC withdrawal fee.

We're going to be rolling out a lot more marketing strategies and promos this weekend. Next week should expect an even larger increase in visitors than there already is.

We still have been increasing our daily visitors almost every day! ~400 UV per day today on the Buy page.

Interesting site...It could be really good once you have a lot of less restrictive sell orders. Right now if you go on there with a specific amount of bitcoins you want to buy at a certain bank there's only a chance it will happen. Keep going though!

You can modify the sell price of your order at any time using your modification PIN.

The fee is only 0.05 BTC to withdraw from escrow.

You might lose SOME, but not a lot by any means.

We had 34 BTC sell out from Wells Fargo today alone.

I figured this service would be in much higher demand.

What is holding you back from using BuyBitcoin.US?

I honestly believe this is the quickest, simplest and most secure method of obtaining bitcoin on the market today.

See here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=124441.0).

what are some of your guide lines with the bitcoin wallets that you send to.  Like Mt.Gox and now bitinstant require you to have a wallet that matches your name.

Elmer76, can you show me what you are refering to?

We send to any Bitcoin address provided.

Sorry for slow respones, what I mean is say I buy coins for someone else.  I make the payment but the blockchain address is in there name no mine.  Would that be a problem?

How long is the delay between when you receive bitcoins for an order (after 6 confirms obviously) and when that order goes live on your site?

Hey there...this is a *great * service! I am surprised you are not getting more of a response. You could definitely use an overhaul to make it a bit more user friendly..not that it's too hard but if you've never seen a "sell order" page it can look intimidating.

Would love see a cash in the mail service but I wouldn't envy anyone having to arbitrate disputes on that one...impossible! "I sent it!" "I never received it!". Okkkkkk.

You could however add moneygram and western union easily as both of those involve receipts. Hope that you do. Many people do not have one of these banks near them but everyone has access to WU and moneygram.

Edit: Over 90% of my order was bought and paid for today.

Most buyers don't seem to understand the 3-hour window when purchasing bitcoins on BitQuick.  The amount of bitcoins I have for sell has appeared and disappeared several times since I put them up yesterday.  This means that people are submitting buys for all my coins (order disappears from the list) and then letting the 3-hour hold window expire (order reappears on the list) over and over.  I have yet to have a single deposit appear in my bank account.

I know that the 3-hour hold window is discussed in the terms of use.  It's also listed on the web page when you complete your purchase and it's also listed in the email that is sent to you regarding your purchase.  So I can't tell if people are doing this on purpose or are really dumb.  Either way, it's frustrating.

Of course they are doing it on purpose. They are trying to buy coins cheap and hoping for a surge in the price between the order and when they would make a deposit.

The easy fix for this is to charge a fee for every time this happens, or to suspend accounts, but that won't ever happen.

So they're basically using the 3-hour hold window as a "call option".

We have considered banning IP addresses for unpaid buyer holds but so far it seems that orders are being filled at a quick rate. Charging a fee would drastically reduce the number of customers as well I am sure and will not be implemented anywhere in the near future.

We are working on adding money order functionality soon with the obvious setbacks being the ones you mentioned.

I have PNC and noticed nobody is selling through PNC. I am willing to sell my coins at that bank however I am hesitant because of the fee. If there is a surge in BTC/USD price I want to be able to cancel my order without penalty...otherwise I stand to lose out and somebody will buy my btc just to resell them and make a profit off of me.

No sir, you do not. All you need is cold hard cash :) For more info: http://www.ehow.com/how_6604530_deposit-money-someone-else_s-account.html

They won't ask a thing. They won't ask for ID or anything.

You can change the price of your order without penalty or fee by using your modifcation PIN at the order modification page. For example: https://www.bitquick.co/modify.php?orderid=3813501

no lol.. you deposit cash into another bank account, and then bitquick.co sends you bitcoins from the seller after you send us an email of the receipt from the bank proving you did it.

As stated in our TOS:

Quote
We are a service that helps to connect holders of Bitcoin (“sellers”) with holders of FIAT currencies (“buyers”).

We are not an MSB. BuyBitcoin.us does not buy, sell, exchange or adminsiter Bitcoin. We do not provide a Money Transmission Service. For more information on what constitutes an MSB, please visit the official FinCEN website.

Looking to confirm our status with a lawyer though.

Also your credit union has been added to the list!

Sales are rolling in today! :)

I think you are a money transmitter. people give you their BTC and you have control/possession of it. So you got money. Then you transfer that to someone they specify. That's what a money transmitter does, like WU or Moneygram except they deal in cash. You deal in BTC. Same difference. Whether it is us dollars or some stored value thing like Bitcoins, it's the same thing. Sound like a good service though, I'll have to try it sometime. ;D

Since SEPA is done online, it'd just be a picture of Europe completely shaded in ;)

ok thanks for the reply. one other question, have you found that people who selling BTC through your site get into trouble with their bank? like the bank account gets closed? or do you have to really be doing alot of volume to get that happening? like what would be a good way to stay under the radar? maybe someone that is selling their BTC through Wells Fargo or some of the other banks could pipe in.

I'm not sure exactly what the ceiling is, but none of our sellers have pushed it or had any issues with their banks yet.

Staying under $3,000 per account per day is safe so I hear, under $10,000 is still pretty safe I believe, but am not as sure on that.

How come so many sellers are asking $135+ for BTC when MTGOx is at $126 right now? I don't see why someone would pay so much. Dont your system allow sellers to set their sale price based on a certain percent above/below mtgox? So that the price can automatically adjust to market conditions? that would be nice. Cuz no one is going to want to paying $10 more than MTGox.

The name is a little confusing since .net was also a service... but you don't seem too popular and I'm not sure why. My buddy recommended me to you guys. But here is a repeat of his story:

He bought at ~5% less than MtGox rate and you guys took out 2%, he bought for about 5% above where bitstamp was. He said he reserved the order on his phone. Went to the bank, emailed the receipt, and had the coins in less than 1 hour from start to finish.

Not only was he bragging about getting it at a good rate, but he was bragging about how simple, and how fast it was.

You should get more testimonials and more sellers on there. You've got banks across the country on your site. To me, it seems much easier to deposit cash into an account than to meet some stranger with a bunch of cash in your pocket.

Cool site. And save the boobies!

Why not Moneypaks, or a method of direct deposit to a debit card at, say, Walmart? There are many people with Walmart debit cards. Of course, I never tried loading a Walmart card at a Walmart without the card, using only the number. I think I'll try it.

By the way, since you talk about breast cancer. Personally using Jim Humble's MMS. Great stuff. Suposedly cures all kinds of things, including cancer. http://www.mmsnews.org/

:)

Edit: Okay. I just tried it. Walmart doesn't accept loads to Walmart debit cards without the actual card in hand.

Check out our new dynamic pricing feature! Sellers now have the opportunity to list orders that adjust in price according to Bitstamp and Mt. Gox rates. With the dynamic nature of the value of Bitcoin, sellers can now feel safe in knowing that if Bitcoin suddenly goes to the moon or crashes, their coins will be appropriately and reflectively priced. Features include:

-Premium Pricing (+/- a desired percentage difference from the selected exchange rate)

-Four choices in price selection sources (Bitcoinaverage.com, Bitcoinaverage.com without MtGox data, MtGox, and Bitstamp)

-A selection of the 24 hour average, the last price, or whichever price is greater for the selected exchange.

The dynamic pricing feature is currently only available for orders in USD. The option of dynamic pricing for SEPA orders is planned, as well as a broader selection of exchange rates.

Hi,

I just checked your prices. The lowest ($396. and change ) are $15 above current mtgox, with some vendors asking over 450 USD per btc.

Ouch.

The dynamic pricing feature does not take into account the currency used (e.g. the USD exchange rate is still used with EUR offers).

Just a thought...

On your site, whenever there is a box to fill info into, you have a little question mark (?) next to the box. If a user clicks the "?", they get an explanation about what the box is for. That's good.

Did you think about using the free overlib.js script from http://www.bosrup.com/web/overlib/? You simply hover your mouse of the "?" in order to get a little floating box, that disappears with mouseOut.

I would think that would be easier than clicking. You could probably still have the click option available for folks who needed to do a big study.

Just a thought.  :)

I haven't listed my coins for sale yet, but if I do, I would ask way over MtGox price. I don't care if I sell them or not. If nobody will pay my price, I'll just keep them. They're going to go to the moon, you know. Maybe not this time. Maybe not easily. But they will.

I'd say, if you have money invested in Bitcoin from back somewhere, and you haven't gotten your principal out yet, that's what I would aim for... breaking even. Then keep the rest to see what will happen.

:)

Those prices were below MtGox's last price, you were probably comparing to the Gox 24 hour average. Our prices are similar to Localbitcoins.com.

The dynamic pricing feature does not take into account the currency used (e.g. the USD exchange rate is still used with EUR offers).

Other currencies are not able to listed with dynamic pricing yet, but by the end of the weekend this function will be introduced.

No, actually. I compared them with the mtgox "Last Price" number. I verified that amount on mtgox.com, Clark Moody, AND via an API call. I stand by what I said - at the time I calculated, the lowest price was > $15 above mtgox last.

Today's prices are a slight improvement though. Today you have two sellers that are "only" $10 US above current mygox LAST, with the rest above that significantly.

Also, your prices are NOT similar to localbitcoins. I won't bother with an example, since it would only take a couple of minutes for prospective customers to compare prices. Let's just say you are currently higher.

BTW, I should say that I DO really like your service. I've used it previously with no issues, and at that time the prices were quite in line. I definitely prefer it over localbitcoins. Unfortunately, at this point in time you can't quite capture my business.

I WILL check back on your site from time to time though. I got great service there, and I like it quite well.

Best of luck to you.

Sorry about that, perhaps you were right.

It is evident that the premium is becoming somewhat larger though. Seems to be sellers are reluctant to part with their Bitcoins at the moment.

Glad to hear you are a fan of our service though, we are always trying to make improvements.

Also another update, we support dynamic pricing for EUR orders too now!

Also another update, we support dynamic pricing for EUR orders too now!

Since programming is so much fun, how about an option, a checkbox, that allows a seller's price to remain at whatever high it reaches.

For example, let's say that MtGox reaches $1000. And let's say that I have my selling price set at 10% over MtGox. This would mean that when MtGox reached $1000, my selling price would automatically go to $1100, right?

Then lets's say MtGox dropped to $900. But the checkbox would allow my selling price to remain at the high of $1100 rather than dropping to the new rate of 10% over MtGox - $990.

Just a thought. :)

How about adding the 24 hour high price  in the drop down with 24 hour avg, last and max then?

That can be easily integrated and would have the same effect for 24 hours.

Once again, another update! We now support address generation for those of you who don't have a wallet yet!

Hi,

I am thinking about becoming a seller and was wondering if you could address some concerns and questions I have.

Why am I charged a 0.05 fee to withdraw my coins if I am seller?  Seems steep, especially if I want to try out with a small amount (like say 0.05).

What is the volume on your site?  I am concerned about depositing coins and having no buyers.

In the FAQs, it says the buyers have to send a copy of a receipt and then you will release the coins.  On the sellers side, it says coins aren't released until I confirm that the deposit was made - which one is it?

Have you had any problems with people generation fake deposit receipts?

Thanks guys!  Hope this all works out!

Hi Steelfox,

The 0.05 BTC is a processing fee. That fee was determined back in August, and has not been adjusted to reflect the recent price increase yet. We plan to reduce that fee to 0.02 BTC this week.

As far as volume goes, we are on Bitcoinity.org so that will show you detailed stats for our EUR and USD orders. A rough estimate would say we are having around 17 BTC trading a day.

The issue recently has been a lack of sellers putting their prices at Mt. Gox rate or lower. Instead they put additional premiums (as high as 15%). If you stay under Mt. Gox rate, your coins will sell within a few hours if you have a Bank of America (our most popular bank), Chase or Wells Fargo account.

As of the past few days, anything under $700 gets snatched up pretty quickly.

As for the sellers terms, I sent you a PM with some more explanation on that. :)

We haven't had any fraudulent receipts be processed yet.

Let us know if you have any other concerns!

Withdrawal fee reduced to .02 BTC and maximum single buy transaction limit added ($10,000). So far, we haven't had any transactions exceed this limit anyhow.

It's a scam for buyers. There is absolutely no protection from what I can see. You deposit the cash in the sellers bank, then it's gone for good with no possibility for getting it back. The seller simply tells bitquick that they didn't receive the payment and pockets the cash while retaining their bitcoins.

The escrow needs to work both ways to also protect the buyers.

We have had several reviews over at https://bittrust.org/altquickco Did you email orders@altquick.co? The email is being used as we speak. Not sure what happened!

All deposits are guaranteed. Since our opening in August, 2013 there has not been 1 buyer scammed using our service. More interestingly, not even 1 attempt to scam a buyer. The only scam attempts that are being attempted have actually only been from the buyer's side thus far attempting to defraud sellers.

Please check out http://bittrust.org/bitquickco for our plethora of 5 star reviews as well.

We work hard to make our customers happy. Every single one.

Thanks for the reply. My apologies if this is not true.

I guess I still don't understand your model. As I understand it, the buyer deposits the money directly to a bank account of the seller, not a Bitquick account. I don't see any possible way bitquick could guarantee that these sellers, especially in places like Taiwan wouldn't simply state that the funds were never received and keep the bitcoins. Bitquick has no possible way of verifying that the funds are in the account other than the deposit receipt. How could bitquick possibly guarantee funds that it has no control of or even viewing access too? No way to even verify a sellers statements.

Seller lies and says the funds were not deposited and retains the bitcoins.
Buyer is scammed for the total amount with no options for recovery since he/she deposited the funds directly into the sellers account.

I guess it comes down to who bitquick is going to believe. It already looks like there's a bias towards believing sellers and that the buyers are scammers. It's too bad, because this could be a useful service if BOTH parties were protected.

From the Bitquick website:

...as a buyer?

1. Select an order from the current order book, enter your email and Bitcoin address and submit.

2. Pay the described sum to the account shown on the confirmation page by going to any local branch of the sellers bank and filling out a deposit form with cash, making an ATM deposit, or sending a bank transfer.

3. Email the receipt to orders@BitQuick.tw.

We send you the coins typically within 1 hour of the funds being confirmed by the seller.

-----------------------------------------------

It's quite clear that the bitcoins are not sent until after the seller confirms the funds.  So the seller simply lies, and thousands of dollars are gone for good into the "sellers" account.   The deposit receipt is meaningless in this model as nothing appears to be sent until confirmed by the seller. No reason to even mess with scanning and emailing a receipt if it doesn't work as proof of funding. It's all based on the ethics of the anonymous sellers.

No, we'd ask for some photo identification and we can also talk to the banks directly. It's not as simple as you are painting it out to be. Which is why it has never been done.

There is simply too much at risk for a seller to attempt a scam in that manner too. If they're ousted, they have all their Bitcoins in BitQuick's control. The seller can lose real money by attempting to defraud a buyer. On the other hand, when a buyer attempts to defraud a seller, they have no collateral. Nothing at risk.

Once again, you are explaining a situation that has never been attempted in almost 6 months of operation.

You are really over simplifying the business model and the process our staff uses to process orders. We are not going to reveal every step of how we verify the authenticity of a transaction for security purposes, but we are far from being negligent about it.

Why don't you just give us a shot and see how your experience goes? We have not had 1 disappointed customer. And when you look at all the customer service issues other Bitcoin exchanges are having, that is quite impressive.

You're not going to find another exchange that actually cares more about making each and every one of its customers happy more than us.

Greetings all,

I just sold some coin, very cool and smooth process.  Must admit was a bit spooked by the first time thing...

The question I have is after the buyer has deposited proceeds/funded the purchase, can I as the seller immediately confirm the receipt of funds to expedite the transaction processing for the seller ~to help speed receipt of their coin?

Would be great if you could add a "mail to the bank" section for smaller banks.

Folks buying and selling bitcoins this way would have to agree that the price would be at the day the deposit made it into the account, or something similar. If you wanted to buy bitcoins from someone selling in the mail-in section, you would download a copy of the bank deposit slip the seller had uploaded to the site. You download, print out, and fill out the deposit slip. You mail the funds to the bank using the bank address provided by the seller.

Banking mail often receives top priority by the postal system, if they see that it is a bank by the address on the envelope. The agreement would be that the funds would buy bitcoins at the going rate of the time that the funds were entered into the account. The bitcoins, of course, would be frozen in escrow.

The best idea would be to send the funds with tracking so that all involved could view the location of the funds at anytime.

Well, just an idea. Details would have to be worked out, and it may not be practical at all.

:)

Unfortunately BADecker, there are a bit too many hoops to hop through and a risk of overselling/things getting lost in the mail and so forth.

Another idea though, do you live near any Credit Unions? If you do, they are likely a part of CO-Op Shared Branch banking: http://www.co-opsharedbranch.org/

So you can deposit cash into any CU in the CO-OP Union (most credit unions are) in the nation practically if you have access to one of them!

Hey I'm a longtime lurker in the scene, and really have only used BTC just as a way to transfer money from overseas (where I'm working) back to the US (where I still have bills/IRA to fund).

I recently moved to Taiwan, and I'm sure you know how unfriendly it is to find a way to fund bitcoin here. When I was in Japan, I used MtGox because it's based in Japan, so I could tie my Japan Post account to it and fund it that way. Is there a way I can fund in Taiwan NT$ without being burned?

Not a chance. Any suspicious holds, especially larger transactions, may be subject to government issued photo identification. This is only subject to BitQuick.co discretion. Failure to present identification upon request can result in Bitcoin funds not being released.

I would like to confirm something regarding your service...

Suppose A is selling 1 BTC and B is buying it at 500 USD. First A is depositing it to your wallet and then B is asked to pay A. B makes an online transfer to A and sends you the screenshot, but A denies receival of payment. Now how do you proceed ? B's screenshot may be photoshopped or A's claim may be vague. Will you transfer 1 BTC to B or return it to A ?

The bitcoin is in escrow with Bitquick.co. The question is, if the buyer provides a Photoshopped receipt, or the seller won't confirm that he has received the funds, how does Bitquick.co know when to release the bitcoin? Do they just hang on to it forever until the truth comes out in some wash? Or is there potential court litigation?

:)

Something of similar kind also takes place for online transactions on LocalBitcoins. Its not clear how they handle it too...

the order number you gave me : 71482655
i have the modification pin. Please check and let me know.

I have a separate issue as well, i emailed support this afternoon and there was no response! I am unable to make payment to a seller because my bank account does not allow me to add him in NEFT, probably because we both use the same bank.

This is my first deal with bitquick.in and i am not impressed! :(

There appears to be something seriously wrong at your India arm. I placed a hold on an order for 1 BTC and was unable to process the payment as my Bank did not allow me to add the account as a NEFT beneficiary because the seller was using the same bank. Many emails back and forth and i finally had to add the seller using a cash deposit option (which incidentally was not an option when placing the trade!). I asked for the hold to be cancelled as the due date had passed, but was assured by bitquick support that i would still get the BTC as it was still held for me. Considering the already horror support i had received so far, asked them to cancel the hold and i would go ahead and place a fresh hold, this was promptly done. Now under the order number, the seller had 2 BTC for sale, my hold order took one of them into escrow (or so i thought!). Which means the order number still showed that the seller had 1 BTC. Now despite the hold being cancelled, the seller still had only 1 BTC shown! This started alarm bells ringing in my mind, wrote to support again, who acknowledged that there was an error and told me that there were 3 BTC under that order number available (don't know where the 3rd one came from). This morning, i check the site and that order number is un-available! Could it be that someone bought all 3 BTC? I highly doubt this as i myself saw that sale order dormant for a week, before i placed my hold on it.

Something appears to be amiss, i have also put up some BTC for sale on the website and despite being the lowest price available, no one seems to want to take it! I hope your website is not a scam!

Bump.

I'm curious if recent complaints have been addressed and resolved.  I'm interested in using this site in the near future, but would like some assurance that things are still working smoothly.  Feedback seems mostly positive but I've noticed that a few more negative reviews have popped up in the last couple weeks.  I hope things are still good because this site would be something I might put to use on a regular basis.

Managed to resolve this query by speaking to the Seller myself. How did i get in touch with the seller? Its a secret :).
Apparently he had got holds on all three BTC as he had lowered his price and i missed the bus.

Recently sold 0.16 BTC on this site and got a genuine buyer who transferred the money promptly. Customer service appears to be an area of concern for me, i have one pending hold because the seller had updated wrong information as their IFSC code. I had to check it myself and found that the Account specified was ICICI and the IFSC led me to a Canara Bank Account. I had to point out this issue to support who were totally unaware of this. They got in touch with the seller but it takes a very long time to communicate, which may lead to delays in getting good deals! The recent issue is still ongoing. :(

In my opinion, good site for selling BTC but not for Buying.

A reply to my emails would be good i think?

Made the payment day before yesterday evening, no email confirming the receipt i sent and 1 email later on where you claim you are looking into the seller. Have sent many emails post that and still no reply! I am losing money as BTC price has gone up and i am not in a position to trade the BTC due to your carelessness. I am never going to buy again from you!  :o :(

I ordered some BTC coin from the site, deposited money in a bank account and sent loaded receipt.  For some reason it was not accepted and the BTC were released.  Now I have no money or no BTC.

The first time I contacted customer support the the vendor still had some BTC listed, but support didn't partial fill my order.  Now the vendor has no listing at all and my only option is to wait for the vendor to load more coin.

I hope I can recover my payment and update this message with a positive resolution.

SELLERS DON'T SELL YOUR BTC THERE!!!
Few months ago, I did use them as buyer was perfect, but now did try as seller, their rule is only cash deposit that is a lie, when I got the email that was asking me to confirm the deposit, the first thing I did check my bank account, and there was a pending balance (pending is mean no cash deposit), and send them an email telling that, they even give me the right to proof it, they just release the coins and period. This thing just happened few hrs ago from now, so hope those 2 deposits will not return after 5 business day, if so will do another review.

So now sellers is in your hand, if you want to lose your coins go ahead and do it there and good luck.

Update, I did not lose any bitcoin and money with them, but I will never recommend to sell thru them, since you don't have control to release the coins, they don't send any proof, we just have to believe in their system, so to get better price and more control what you are selling, I recommend and I'm using 100% ever to sell my BTC with localbitcoins.com period.

So now is your hand sell or not sell with them, I did not lose a penny, but it is not in your control, that mean is very easy to get in trouble...

I second your thought. Even if i have to cancel an order, i will be charged the fee anyway. That does not make sense. Cancellations should be allowed free. If i am selling 1 BTC and suddenly realize i need that BTC for something else and want to cancel my order.. they will charge me 0.02 as fee! My alternative is to wait for someone to buy the BTC at my quoted price or change the order to reflect a new price, but i cannot cancel and get away. Maybe you should reduce the fee to something more manageable in case we decide to cancel a sale.

I would like to address the concerns that have been raised in this thread about our service.

Regarding the person insisting that seller's refrain from selling their BTC, I would like to note that this particular instance in question was a large misunderstanding. The user seemed to be upset that we released the coins without their confirmation of the deposit. This is because BitQuick releases coins at our own discretion based on our own fraud analysis, in combination with that of our robust identity verification partner Netverify. We impose a seller's guarantee (https://www.bitquick.co/terms-of-service#g (https://www.bitquick.co/terms-of-service#g)) that provides 100% protection for sellers that confirm deposits within 3 hours of our confirmation requests. This means that you cannot lose money to fraud selling on BitQuick if you abide by our terms of service properly.

Regarding our withdrawal fee, since our last posting in this thread the fee has been changed to 5%, capping out at 0.02 BTC. We understand that there have been some poor instances of customer service in the past involving our India subsidiary, but this has since been rectified as the India site is under new management, and we are constantly looking to further improve the user's experience when using BitQuick and interacting with our support.

There is no way for third party verification of this data. Different exchanges have shown inflated data before. Even Huobi did it. So, no wonder, this service might do the same...

Anyone tried www.100bit.co.in over here ? Their feature set seems to be promising...

1. Does not require bitcoin to stay deposited in the site. User deposits at the time of trading.

2. Bitcoin can be traded against both FIAT & Alt coins.

3. Trading cost 0.1% of the trade amount.

Is there any sort of API? I'm starting a Bitcoin only business overseas opening it up for investors and understand that only accepting bitcoins limits our reach. Offering a dollar (other currencies) option resulting in bitcoins being sent to us would be quite useful.
I could certainly send people to BitQuick or CoinBase, BitStamp or whichever but the key is in keeping it simple.

Just completed another smooth and fast transaction with BitQuick.co, https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/address/1C7ZG6rq6wVHsyLqcL2qwvvDBq33eSCf3k/?r=bitquick.  I like that you do not need to sign up with them and make an account.  I also like transacting with cash at a bank and having bitcoin appear in my wallet, very safe and not encroaching into my privacy.  Great service.

BitQuick.co is still down. Please read below.

March, 17 2016 - 10:24 AM EST

When BitQuick was first founded back in August, 2013 it was founded with the intention to make Bitcoin trading safer and simpler. Through the years, we have always put customer security as our top priority. In February, 2014 we were the first US trading platform to implement proof of reserves following the Mt. Gox incident. 2015 up through now has seen incredible growth; BitQuick reached $1.5M 30 day trailing volume just last week, 15x where we were in January, 2015. This would not have been possible without our loyal and supportive customer base.

On Monday, March 14, 2016, our server fell victim to an attack that gave the attacker unauthorized administrative access. The breach was immediately noticed, and the server was shutdown to prevent any further damage. We are still performing a formal investigation to determine the attack vector, and specifically what information was obtained from the server. Due to additional security mechanisms in place, no funds were taken, and all ID’s (driver’s licenses, passports, etc.) and emails remain secured. Sellers were emailed withdrawal instructions Tuesday evening. All outstanding orders and withdrawals have been processed. Only 3% of all funds remain unclaimed. Support is still available at orders@bitquick.co.

We have always provided our customers with the highest level of security and convenience, and we will not restore service until we are 100% confident we can continue to provide the same level of service that our customers are accustomed to, and deserve. This will occur once the investigation has been completed, the attack vector has been patched, and the rest of the source code has been audited for security. We estimate that this process could take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. An update will be issued to all BitQuick customers once the investigation has completed, and once service is restored.

Until then, we will continue working as hard as we can to restore safe service access. We really appreciate the support from everyone, and we will be back soon.

Dear BitQuick.co user,

I just wanted to provide all of you with a quick update. Unfortunately we have missed our initial deadline of a 4 week return. We are taking care of some things internally, in addition to platform security, before we launch again. I do not have an exact estimate for our return, but wholeheartedly expect a return sometime during the month of May.

The BitQuick team sincerely appreciates the patience and loyalty you all have shown while we go through these times.

Thank you for your time,

Dear BitQuick.co user,

I, along with the entire BitQuick team, are happy to announce that BitQuick will be restoring full service on June 6th, today!

Is buying open?

Yes! If you have a verified phone number, or ID, you will remain verified, and continue enjoying the same expedient service you expect.

BitQuick will return to the same state it was in right before our downtime, with improved security and platform availability. This comes after weeks of intense code audits and architecture overhauling that will lead to an ever faster browsing experience.

In addition, Athena Bitcoin Inc. has taken ownership of BitQuick.co. This will give BitQuick further access to the resources we need to continue growing, and improving the service you've grown to know and love. Not only is the BitQuick brand here to stay, but so is the team (Jad and Chad) as well as our vision.

We're sure you may have additional questions about the acquisition, the improved security of the platform, and BitQuick's future plans. Check out our FAQ page here: https://www.bitquick.co/blog/bitquick-details

The BitQuick team sincerely appreciates your patience and loyalty, and we're looking forward to serving you once again! We can't wait to pick back up right where we left off.

BITQUICK.CO HAVE STOLEN $1,511.96 FROM ME

At the very least, they've mismanaged my deposit and are now ignoring my inquiries.

After several successful buys through their service, today I deposited $1511.96 into an account at a Credit Union Branch.  Upon placing the hold, I didn't receive the email but the site confirmed my hold...this has happened before and "support" had me just email in the pic of the deposit receipt and explained that "they were sorry but the system just didn't send out my email this time."

I did that this time.  I deposited the $1,511.96 into a seller's account as instructed and emailed the receipt in.  Hours later I hadn't received confirmation of them even getting my email, so I inquired.  Heard NOTHING back.  Inquired again...this time, "support" asks, "we're sorry, we don't have any record of a hold placed from your email today...which email did you use?"

No big deal, this is EXACTLY what happened last time and I just gave them the info on who's account I deposited into, the amount, etc. and they were able to quickly find my order and payout my BTC.  NOT THIS TIME.  I responded with said information and hours have gone by now with no response.

I've sent multiple emails and they have been ignoring me for hours.  I'm not sure what to do here, not sure who to call.  They, of course, don't have a customer service number.  I've tried calling Athena Bitcoin but their "support" number no long works.

I really don't want to lose $1,500 today...any advice?

Do you still have all your receipts and maybe any screenshots?

Not saying to post them here.

Have you provided them to their support?  I haven't used Bitquick since they were bought by that Athans company.

We apologize for taking a bit longer than expected to get back to you! We did end up responding about two hours later, and are just waiting on a bitcoin address to send your coins to. Although it may sometimes seem like there's nobody on the other end, we always diligently read and respond to each inquiry in the fastest manner possible. If you sent an email and haven't heard from us yet, you can rest assured that you'll be receiving a response soon. Once you provide a valid address for us to send the coins to, we will be able to process your order without a fee.

I'm a new user...trying to buy bitcoin, but Bitquick doesn't recognize my 10-digit US telephone number.

How/what format am I supposed to use to enter it? 0000000000, or 000-000-0000, or...what ?

And, is "111" the correct country code for the USA?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,

The correct format is as follows: Country Code, followed by your 10 digit phone number. An example would be 10000000000.

I was scammed for a total of $1,085 by bitquick in one day.....

Proof: http://imgur.com/a/Gc6rt

Earlier today their support closed my escrow on all 3 of those orders, claiming that I did not make the payment. They then proceeded to state that the images are clearly manipulated, when they are in fact quite obviously not.

They are now avoiding my emails and not responding.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE, THEY WILL TRY TO STEAL FROM YOU

Wow , after that many reviews and after that many exchanges between fiat and bitcoin people still can have this kind of problems.

I mean how could we know if the problem is with bitquick or with the payment processor where you put the Money , maybe they are the ones that you have to check with if the Money is sent or not. Nevertheless , I am sure someone from bitquick will shine light upon this subject.

I am Not impressed with the Quality of the Customer Service as it is non-existent from my experience.
And yes I used orders@bitquick.co for the attempted contact.

Previous poster stated that his email to Bitquick Customer Service was answered in 1 hour.

I sent an email with several questions 2 days ago that has never been answered. IMO they trashed the email.

I ask how the request for ID was implemented and how is it triggered. (Does one upload or email a scanned copy of DL or is a camera required?) This is not explained on the web pages. I want to know how it works before I send money as I do not have a web cam. I have no problem providing an ID.

I do not like the fact that after the seller has your funds, Bitquick then for some unknown reason decides to ask for ID. This ID check should be upfront before one send his money, because if Bitquik decides to reject ones ID, then if that person does not have what is required to provide the ID (like having a web cam) then Bitquick is going to profit highly by keeping your coins which is an illegal criminal act.

I also ask:
On your web site where you have Banks and Credit Unions listed that provide the Co-op shared network services. There are quotes under each type of bank that states different amounts of Bitcoin value for a particular Bank.

I do not understand the relevance as on the previous screen I can already see how much Bitcoin my money will buy.

Could you explain the relevance?

Honest concise answers are all anyone could ask for but I got nada.

Why does anyone attempt to get answers to their questions multiply times when one attempt should be all that is required from any Honest upstanding Business.

It boils down to very bad Customer Relations and without the customers you are out of business. Some people just do not understand the concept. All aspects of a businesses policies should be published for all to see before they decide to do business with any company. It is called full disclosure.

Looks like they do not want the 2% Commission they could make from my Bitcoin buys.

Follow up of my previous posting.

I emailed Bitquick about their ID policies. I just want to know how it works so I can be prepared.
6 days later they answered that they would ask for an ID after I had made a purchase.
This is after the seller has you deposit. A smart business would ask for an ID when placing a hold.
This procedure allows Bit quick to state your ID as Invalid and allows Bitquick to keep your funds.

Yesterday (02/02/2017) I attempted a small buy transaction thru Bitquick.
I found that I could only purchase .250194 Bitcoin no matter what amount I put in, as I tried 5 times to purchase amounts up to .2650
bitcoin. Bitcoin provided a name and a Bank Account for the same seller every time. I finally decide to accept the amount they were allowing me to purchase. I drove to a Local Credit Union and the teller said the account of the seller was invalid. I had to drive 30 miles round trip to the Credit Union so I am out on the gas with nothing to show for my efforts.

I wrote Bitquick about the invalid account number and also ask about why I was limited to .250194 Bitcoin.
A Chad answered back that same evening apologizing but did not provide an answer to my question about the limited purchase ability.

I sent another email the same evening asking about the low limits with no answer as of this writing.

This type of information should be listed on the web site so customers would be informed before they do business with Bitquick.

I see this refusal to answer direct questions as a lack of professional courtesy.

I will not be able to recommend Bitquick until I have several successful transactions.
At this time I do not trust them.

Hello.

I bought $400 worth of BTC form BitQuick.co and have not received my coins for 2 days already.
First of all, I made a mistake and paid via Well Fargo Sure pay instead of doing a cash deposit. I understand my part of mistake but look what they did. First they told me that since I have not done a cash deposit, I will have to wait until the seller confirms that the fund are cleared on their end. So, I replied to them and said that Wells Fargo Sure Pay is pretty much instant and they should have their money already sitting in their Wells Fargo account. Now, they told me that I need to upload a picture of myself holding my ID and a paper reading "For BitQuick.co Bticoins. No refunds. I did this of course. After this, they never got back to me so I ended up sending them several emails asking for my BTC. Guess what. I have not anything from them so far. What I did is that I called the company that owns BitQuick and asked for help. The guys was very nice and said that he can take my email address and "text or call", in his words, to the BitQuick support folks to help me out. But look at that. I didn't receive any emails of any sort from BitQuick.
I'm just sitting here waiting for my BTC which doesn't seem like is coming to my BTC wallet anytime soon.
This is ridiculous and extremely unprofessional behavior.
I just sent them another email telling that I will call my bank and will file a dispute if they don't release my BTC by the end of today.

This is just absurd.

Well at least the Bitcoin has been returned now, minus the network fee getting it there to begin with, but this was an extremely stressful and unpleasant affair having to address it like this here and elsewhere and with all the unresponded to email that I sent.

If the price holds till sometime tomorrow morning or so then it seems my sell limit at my current exchange may be enough to enable me to sell it all that way instead.  I also wonder if I would have simply fared better trying LocalBitcoins.com yesterday instead which I've also never used before to get it done already before any possible price drop.

Don't be such a fuckface... shit takes time (this is easier said than done IK.)

I use to use LocalBitcoins wayyyyyyyyy more than Bitquick (https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/BAYAREACOINS/?ch=7mke)... I actually haven't used Bitquick since like 2014.

I believe they have changed hands and shit since then.

I wish I didn't have to make this post but I have to warn the community. I have been using bitquick.co for years but I have been waiting over 24 hours for coins to be released, well in advance of the holiday, and bitquick has ignored all my attempts at communication. They have not sent my coins in the 24 hours like their terms of service state. They also do not even reply to emails during business hours. I have been using them for years and I honestly have seen it go so downhill. Communication is nonexistent and most importantly, they do not live up to their terms of service, even when you follow theirs exactly. I will update if they rectify the situation. I am going to contact an attorney in their jurisdiction tomorrow if I don't hear back from them and also report them to the CFPB, CFTC, and SEC as I don't know what else I can do besides contact an attorney also.

They finally sent my coins. It took 2 days. They never responded to my communication. They specify in their terms of service that as long as deposit instructions are followed, BTC will always be sent within 24 hours. I contacted them several times. They do not respond to communication during their stated business hours. I have been using them for years and have many times but communication is nonexistent now. It used to be very good. I think people who are investing in a volatile asset deserve to know that this company does not abide by their terms of service and your coins will be held for days for no reason.

You're a fucking retard.

Glad you got your coins.

I found a link on bitquick's site saying "see what people are saying about us"   Ironic that all the recent comments here are negative.

Just to add to all of the negative feedback on bitquick, I can attest to the fact that their customer service is HORRIBLE.  I paid for my bitcoin 5 days ago and still have not received it.

I have bought from Bitquick a number of times in the past and never had a problem.  However, this time they are sitting on the coins and when I send them email they either don't reply or it takes days for them to reply.  I sent them two emails yesterday and nothing....crickets...no response.

Looking at earlier posts here it appears when they started in 2013 they cared about customer service.  Now they no longer do.

Would not recommend Bitquick to anyone.

There hasnt' been a legit complaint against Bitquick that I've seen.

You should open a support ticket and chill out.

You wouldn't admit to any legitimate complaints since you're obviously a shill for Bitquick.

You're obviously a retard too.   ::)  (I wish I could find a company that would pay me to call their users retards!!!!!  That'd be the life.)

I just follow this thread because I've traded with them a while back ago... it's hard not to comment when the class of complaints is so poor.

Hope you get your coins... I'm sure you will.

Why is the customer service so slow? Chad from Athena’s customer service has been assigned to support ticket #18494 resolving the issue with Order #22226754 and I have yet to receive a response from Bitquick or Athena. How many times must I email them to receive a response?
