I'm really not interested in your spam advertising, and I don't trust your service.  Given the way you dump your spam on every thread you can find, I fully expect that you are pushing a scam that will eventually run off with all the bitcoins that you have "escrowed" when you think you have enough to make it worth it.  I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

Registered on this forum just to post on this thread, after reading it yesterday I wanted to give it a shot because it looked legit and I thought it was a very good idea. Just wanted to comment and say I did a $100 buy last night, and I had coins in my wallet in about an hour and a half. Very easy. Easier than bitinstant if you ask me. I've been using btc for a little over a year and this is the easiest I've ever obtained them. I will be doing another order for a larger amount of money today and will report back on how it goes. Also the support staff from BuyBitCoin.us e-mailed me very promptly throughout the process confirming my order.. they even, accidentally, e-mailed me on their personal e-mail so I have their full name and e-mail address lol. They are definitely not scamming lol. Anyway, just my $.02, I will update after my order later today.

You could have done this without abusing the website. Anyway, lets break it down for you. You're making the situation seem more dangerous than it really is. This post is completely over-sensationalized. The only financial information stored on the server are the account and routing numbers. Even if the server were compromised, BTC could NOT be withdrawn from the escrow accounts. All escrow accounts are stored in cold wallets, private key is not on the server.

You do realize that's all someone needs to go and make up a check and rip everyone off... qchex.com a couple years back was a hot bed for fake checks/demand drafts.

Figured I'd give you a shot and tried to take one of the Chase orders.  Got this error instead:

Order #87712280 has a minimum buy of 2.4btc, except there is precisely 2.39999985695 BTC for sale, so I can't place a hold because it's impossible to meet the minimum. Might want to make sure things like this don't happen to orders in the future...

a question, if im put a sell order and after a few days it is not sold, the seller may withdraw their bitcoins?

Interesting site...It could be really good once you have a lot of less restrictive sell orders. Right now if you go on there with a specific amount of bitcoins you want to buy at a certain bank there's only a chance it will happen. Keep going though!

I have Wells Fargo and would like to sell but I don't to create a sell order that lasts forever. If your site produces no buyers, I will be charged a fee to cancel. If i place a large sell order and the prices change rapidly, I could lose a lot.

Used this service for the first time today. I must admit I was impressed. I had always stuck to BitInstant in the past but with it down I tried https://www.buybitcoin.us/ and I think I can honestly say I won't go back to bitinstant even when their new site opens.

what are some of your guide lines with the bitcoin wallets that you send to.  Like Mt.Gox and now bitinstant require you to have a wallet that matches your name.

I figured this service would be in much higher demand.

Sorry for slow respones, what I mean is say I buy coins for someone else.  I make the payment but the blockchain address is in there name no mine.  Would that be a problem?

Typically the order will be live instantly. We only require 1 confirm as well.

Of course they are doing it on purpose. They are trying to buy coins cheap and hoping for a surge in the price between the order and when they would make a deposit.

The easy fix for this is to charge a fee for every time this happens, or to suspend accounts, but that won't ever happen.

Hey there...this is a *great * service! I am surprised you are not getting more of a response. You could definitely use an overhaul to make it a bit more user friendly..not that it's too hard but if you've never seen a "sell order" page it can look intimidating.

Would love see a cash in the mail service but I wouldn't envy anyone having to arbitrate disputes on that one...impossible! "I sent it!" "I never received it!". Okkkkkk.

You could however add moneygram and western union easily as both of those involve receipts. Hope that you do. Many people do not have one of these banks near them but everyone has access to WU and moneygram.

Yessir that is correct. They are credited back within an hour typically with a .05 BTC flat withdrawal fee

Hey I've used bitinstant in the past but what if I don't have a bank account. Do I require to have a bank account to do a cash deposit at a bank account?

I have PNC and noticed nobody is selling through PNC. I am willing to sell my coins at that bank however I am hesitant because of the fee. If there is a surge in BTC/USD price I want to be able to cancel my order without penalty...otherwise I stand to lose out and somebody will buy my btc just to resell them and make a profit off of me.

I think you are a money transmitter. people give you their BTC and you have control/possession of it. So you got money. Then you transfer that to someone they specify. That's what a money transmitter does, like WU or Moneygram except they deal in cash. You deal in BTC. Same difference. Whether it is us dollars or some stored value thing like Bitcoins, it's the same thing. Sound like a good service though, I'll have to try it sometime. ;D

ok thanks for the reply. one other question, have you found that people who selling BTC through your site get into trouble with their bank? like the bank account gets closed? or do you have to really be doing alot of volume to get that happening? like what would be a good way to stay under the radar? maybe someone that is selling their BTC through Wells Fargo or some of the other banks could pipe in.

How come so many sellers are asking $135+ for BTC when MTGOx is at $126 right now? I don't see why someone would pay so much. Dont your system allow sellers to set their sale price based on a certain percent above/below mtgox? So that the price can automatically adjust to market conditions? that would be nice. Cuz no one is going to want to paying $10 more than MTGox.

The name is a little confusing since .net was also a service... but you don't seem too popular and I'm not sure why. My buddy recommended me to you guys. But here is a repeat of his story:

He bought at ~5% less than MtGox rate and you guys took out 2%, he bought for about 5% above where bitstamp was. He said he reserved the order on his phone. Went to the bank, emailed the receipt, and had the coins in less than 1 hour from start to finish.

Not only was he bragging about getting it at a good rate, but he was bragging about how simple, and how fast it was.

You should get more testimonials and more sellers on there. You've got banks across the country on your site. To me, it seems much easier to deposit cash into an account than to meet some stranger with a bunch of cash in your pocket.

The dynamic pricing feature does not take into account the currency used (e.g. the USD exchange rate is still used with EUR offers).

On your site, whenever there is a box to fill info into, you have a little question mark (?) next to the box. If a user clicks the "?", they get an explanation about what the box is for. That's good.

Did you think about using the free overlib.js script from http://www.bosrup.com/web/overlib/? You simply hover your mouse of the "?" in order to get a little floating box, that disappears with mouseOut.

I would think that would be easier than clicking. You could probably still have the click option available for folks who needed to do a big study.

Those prices were below MtGox's last price, you were probably comparing to the Gox 24 hour average. Our prices are similar to Localbitcoins.com.

No, actually. I compared them with the mtgox "Last Price" number. I verified that amount on mtgox.com, Clark Moody, AND via an API call. I stand by what I said - at the time I calculated, the lowest price was > $15 above mtgox last.

Today's prices are a slight improvement though. Today you have two sellers that are "only" $10 US above current mygox LAST, with the rest above that significantly.

Also, your prices are NOT similar to localbitcoins. I won't bother with an example, since it would only take a couple of minutes for prospective customers to compare prices. Let's just say you are currently higher.

BTW, I should say that I DO really like your service. I've used it previously with no issues, and at that time the prices were quite in line. I definitely prefer it over localbitcoins. Unfortunately, at this point in time you can't quite capture my business.

I WILL check back on your site from time to time though. I got great service there, and I like it quite well.

Since programming is so much fun, how about an option, a checkbox, that allows a seller's price to remain at whatever high it reaches.

For example, let's say that MtGox reaches $1000. And let's say that I have my selling price set at 10% over MtGox. This would mean that when MtGox reached $1000, my selling price would automatically go to $1100, right?

Then lets's say MtGox dropped to $900. But the checkbox would allow my selling price to remain at the high of $1100 rather than dropping to the new rate of 10% over MtGox - $990.

  I am thinking about becoming a seller and was wondering if you could address some concerns and questions I have.

Why am I charged a 0.05 fee to withdraw my coins if I am seller?  Seems steep, especially if I want to try out with a small amount (like say 0.05).  

What is the volume on your site?  I am concerned about depositing coins and having no buyers.

In the FAQs, it says the buyers have to send a copy of a receipt and then you will release the coins.  On the sellers side, it says coins aren't released until I confirm that the deposit was made - which one is it?

Have you had any problems with people generation fake deposit receipts?

Has anyone used the OP's affiliate site altquick.co for scryptcoin trading?  I was thinking of using it but when I emailed the listed email address it bounced back.   I've pm'ed BuyBitcoin.US but maybe someone else here has personal experience

It's a scam for buyers. There is absolutely no protection from what I can see. You deposit the cash in the sellers bank, then it's gone for good with no possibility for getting it back. The seller simply tells bitquick that they didn't receive the payment and pockets the cash while retaining their bitcoins.

The escrow needs to work both ways to also protect the buyers.

From the Bitquick website:

2. Pay the described sum to the account shown on the confirmation page by going to any local branch of the sellers bank and filling out a deposit form with cash, making an ATM deposit, or sending a bank transfer.

We send you the coins typically within 1 hour of the funds being confirmed by the seller.

It's quite clear that the bitcoins are not sent until after the seller confirms the funds.  So the seller simply lies, and thousands of dollars are gone for good into the "sellers" account.   The deposit receipt is meaningless in this model as nothing appears to be sent until confirmed by the seller. No reason to even mess with scanning and emailing a receipt if it doesn't work as proof of funding. It's all based on the ethics of the anonymous sellers.

I just sold some coin, very cool and smooth process.  Must admit was a bit spooked by the first time thing...

The question I have is after the buyer has deposited proceeds/funded the purchase, can I as the seller immediately confirm the receipt of funds to expedite the transaction processing for the seller ~to help speed receipt of their coin?

Would be great if you could add a "mail to the bank" section for smaller banks.

Folks buying and selling bitcoins this way would have to agree that the price would be at the day the deposit made it into the account, or something similar. If you wanted to buy bitcoins from someone selling in the mail-in section, you would download a copy of the bank deposit slip the seller had uploaded to the site. You download, print out, and fill out the deposit slip. You mail the funds to the bank using the bank address provided by the seller.

Banking mail often receives top priority by the postal system, if they see that it is a bank by the address on the envelope. The agreement would be that the funds would buy bitcoins at the going rate of the time that the funds were entered into the account. The bitcoins, of course, would be frozen in escrow.

The best idea would be to send the funds with tracking so that all involved could view the location of the funds at anytime.

Well, just an idea. Details would have to be worked out, and it may not be practical at all.

So you can deposit cash into any CU in the CO-OP Union (most credit unions are) in the nation practically if you have access to one of them!

Hey I'm a longtime lurker in the scene, and really have only used BTC just as a way to transfer money from overseas (where I'm working) back to the US (where I still have bills/IRA to fund).

I recently moved to Taiwan, and I'm sure you know how unfriendly it is to find a way to fund bitcoin here. When I was in Japan, I used MtGox because it's based in Japan, so I could tie my Japan Post account to it and fund it that way. Is there a way I can fund in Taiwan NT$ without being burned?

I would like to confirm something regarding your service...

Suppose A is selling 1 BTC and B is buying it at 500 USD. First A is depositing it to your wallet and then B is asked to pay A. B makes an online transfer to A and sends you the screenshot, but A denies receival of payment. Now how do you proceed ? B's screenshot may be photoshopped or A's claim may be vague. Will you transfer 1 BTC to B or return it to A ?

The bitcoin is in escrow with Bitquick.co. The question is, if the buyer provides a Photoshopped receipt, or the seller won't confirm that he has received the funds, how does Bitquick.co know when to release the bitcoin? Do they just hang on to it forever until the truth comes out in some wash? Or is there potential court litigation?

Few months ago, I did use them as buyer was perfect, but now did try as seller, their rule is only cash deposit that is a lie, when I got the email that was asking me to confirm the deposit, the first thing I did check my bank account, and there was a pending balance (pending is mean no cash deposit), and send them an email telling that, they even give me the right to proof it, they just release the coins and period. This thing just happened few hrs ago from now, so hope those 2 deposits will not return after 5 business day, if so will do another review.

So now sellers is in your hand, if you want to lose your coins go ahead and do it there and good luck.

Update, I did not lose any bitcoin and money with them, but I will never recommend to sell thru them, since you don't have control to release the coins, they don't send any proof, we just have to believe in their system, so to get better price and more control what you are selling, I recommend and I'm using 100% ever to sell my BTC with localbitcoins.com period.

So now is your hand sell or not sell with them, I did not lose a penny, but it is not in your control, that mean is very easy to get in trouble...

When BitQuick was first founded back in August, 2013 it was founded with the intention to make Bitcoin trading safer and simpler. Through the years, we have always put customer security as our top priority. In February, 2014 we were the first US trading platform to implement proof of reserves following the Mt. Gox incident. 2015 up through now has seen incredible growth; BitQuick reached $1.5M 30 day trailing volume just last week, 15x where we were in January, 2015. This would not have been possible without our loyal and supportive customer base.

On Monday, March 14, 2016, our server fell victim to an attack that gave the attacker unauthorized administrative access. The breach was immediately noticed, and the server was shutdown to prevent any further damage. We are still performing a formal investigation to determine the attack vector, and specifically what information was obtained from the server. Due to additional security mechanisms in place, no funds were taken, and all ID’s (driver’s licenses, passports, etc.) and emails remain secured. Sellers were emailed withdrawal instructions Tuesday evening. All outstanding orders and withdrawals have been processed. Only 3% of all funds remain unclaimed. Support is still available at orders@bitquick.co.

We have always provided our customers with the highest level of security and convenience, and we will not restore service until we are 100% confident we can continue to provide the same level of service that our customers are accustomed to, and deserve. This will occur once the investigation has been completed, the attack vector has been patched, and the rest of the source code has been audited for security. We estimate that this process could take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. An update will be issued to all BitQuick customers once the investigation has completed, and once service is restored.

Until then, we will continue working as hard as we can to restore safe service access. We really appreciate the support from everyone, and we will be back soon.

BITQUICK.CO HAVE STOLEN $1,511.96 FROM ME

At the very least, they've mismanaged my deposit and are now ignoring my inquiries.

After several successful buys through their service, today I deposited $1511.96 into an account at a Credit Union Branch.  Upon placing the hold, I didn't receive the email but the site confirmed my hold...this has happened before and "support" had me just email in the pic of the deposit receipt and explained that "they were sorry but the system just didn't send out my email this time."

I did that this time.  I deposited the $1,511.96 into a seller's account as instructed and emailed the receipt in.  Hours later I hadn't received confirmation of them even getting my email, so I inquired.  Heard NOTHING back.  Inquired again...this time, "support" asks, "we're sorry, we don't have any record of a hold placed from your email today...which email did you use?" 

No big deal, this is EXACTLY what happened last time and I just gave them the info on who's account I deposited into, the amount, etc. and they were able to quickly find my order and payout my BTC.  NOT THIS TIME.  I responded with said information and hours have gone by now with no response.

I've sent multiple emails and they have been ignoring me for hours.  I'm not sure what to do here, not sure who to call.  They, of course, don't have a customer service number.  I've tried calling Athena Bitcoin but their "support" number no long works.

Earlier today their support closed my escrow on all 3 of those orders, claiming that I did not make the payment. They then proceeded to state that the images are clearly manipulated, when they are in fact quite obviously not.

They are now avoiding my emails and not responding.

Well at least the Bitcoin has been returned now, minus the network fee getting it there to begin with, but this was an extremely stressful and unpleasant affair having to address it like this here and elsewhere and with all the unresponded to email that I sent.

If the price holds till sometime tomorrow morning or so then it seems my sell limit at my current exchange may be enough to enable me to sell it all that way instead.  I also wonder if I would have simply fared better trying LocalBitcoins.com yesterday instead which I've also never used before to get it done already before any possible price drop.

I wish I didn't have to make this post but I have to warn the community. I have been using bitquick.co for years but I have been waiting over 24 hours for coins to be released, well in advance of the holiday, and bitquick has ignored all my attempts at communication. They have not sent my coins in the 24 hours like their terms of service state. They also do not even reply to emails during business hours. I have been using them for years and I honestly have seen it go so downhill. Communication is nonexistent and most importantly, they do not live up to their terms of service, even when you follow theirs exactly. I will update if they rectify the situation. I am going to contact an attorney in their jurisdiction tomorrow if I don't hear back from them and also report them to the CFPB, CFTC, and SEC as I don't know what else I can do besides contact an attorney also.

Give it till Friday IMO.

It's the Holidays?  Lots of these blockchain folks are out of the office until Jan 2.

They finally sent my coins. It took 2 days. They never responded to my communication. They specify in their terms of service that as long as deposit instructions are followed, BTC will always be sent within 24 hours. I contacted them several times. They do not respond to communication during their stated business hours. I have been using them for years and have many times but communication is nonexistent now. It used to be very good. I think people who are investing in a volatile asset deserve to know that this company does not abide by their terms of service and your coins will be held for days for no reason.

I found a link on bitquick's site saying "see what people are saying about us"   Ironic that all the recent comments here are negative.

Just to add to all of the negative feedback on bitquick, I can attest to the fact that their customer service is HORRIBLE.  I paid for my bitcoin 5 days ago and still have not received it. 

I have bought from Bitquick a number of times in the past and never had a problem.  However, this time they are sitting on the coins and when I send them email they either don't reply or it takes days for them to reply.  I sent them two emails yesterday and nothing....crickets...no response.

Looking at earlier posts here it appears when they started in 2013 they cared about customer service.  Now they no longer do.

Would not recommend Bitquick to anyone.

Why is the customer service so slow? Chad from Athena’s customer service has been assigned to support ticket #18494 resolving the issue with Order #22226754 and I have yet to receive a response from Bitquick or Athena. How many times must I email them to receive a response?
