What you think is posible since bitcoin already hit $20k, but it will only happen if there would still be lot of investors to invest on bitcoin and trust what bitcoin has achieved. When there is still be dumpung of bitcoins then maybe bitcoin will start back to $10k or below. Now is the complete example of how volatile bitcoin is and we can see it dropped by almost 40% this month.

It should be, I'm on the verge of selling my coins at a losing rate if this last longer. However, I don't feel any regret holding my coins and didn't sell it when the price was higher few days back. Well, that's the concept of holding, it doesn't matter whether you are losing or winning, the important thing is you just compound all your investments for long term. Honestly, I have allocated my money and expenses. But, due to this holiday season, I thought of converting all my cash into BTC and withdraw the gains later to spend for the holiday season. I was pretty confident that it will continue to rise up even there is Christmas and New Year coming. That was the biggest mistake I have done so far. Well, lesson learned, don't ever mix up investments and expenses as it will ruin a well managed plan all along.

We are just in a middle of another correction. Don't you think that people wanted to buy presents with the money they have earned on Bitcoin. It has already happened in the past a few times. Right now, most of the banks don't process any wire transfers due to Christmas time. I wouldn't be surprised if Bitcoin was back to $20k after New Years Eve.

I believe bitcoin will be around $20k by 2018, I think it will reach around $18k next week and by next year it will be $20k or probably more. Bitcoin is still correcting its price from the sudden rise so most likely it will be stable by next week.

$20K is much bigger milestone considering the current scenario and things happening in the market. I don't see Bitcoin touching $20K level anytime before April 2018. There is a possibility of the correction and things are still unclear but I am happy to see that the price is falling because it will help Bitcoin to stabilize itself and grow in the long run

As you can see the expenses of people who invested on bitcoin affects the laws of demand and supply figuratively the price of bitcoin. Anyway, nobody can really tell what the future holds. If you decided to invest in bitcoin and you made a huge profit in the following year, then good for you, if not, then that's unfortunate. But always remember, there is always a risk in investing in bitcoin. Nothing is permanent and who knows, the "prophet" 1bitcoinset was talking about may be real.

Remember the thanksgiving weekend? There was a huge spike, as new users rushed to purchase crypto for themselves and for their loved ones. The same is going to repeat next week. Here is some information that will guide you as to Bitcoin's direction. Bitcoin's price has fallen below the Bands MId Point (15,836), and is now in the Lower Band domain. The direction of the Lower Band will determine price outcome. The current projection of both Mid Point and Lower Band are on the rise. Even though yesterday's low (10,718) fell below the Lower Band value (10,960), today's Lower Band value is higher (11,549) causing price to rebound at least for now. If price can get above the Mid Point, then we would need the Upper Band value to rise for price recovery. It peaked on the 19th (20,901) and currently is at (20,222).

If Bitcoin's Lower Band continues to rise, price will rebound and head for recovery. If at some point, the Lower Band decides to fall, day after day, then the downturn will remain. W% yesterday bottomed at -74.05 and today is at -59.44.

Remember this; even though it looks bad for the Daily Time Frame, the key to Bitcoin's trend lies with the Monthly Time Frame. The Monthly Bands are Diverging, same posture for over a year. The MACD is reaching for the stars. W% is down below the 20% zone (-27.52) which is low for the Monthly, but not a dangerous point. This is a review of Bitcoin's landscape, sort of an overview of its road map, just to assist in perspective.

I never stopped believing in the Bitcoin exchange rate will always increase, and the current reduction rate of Bitcoin is only temporary. Certainly to 2018 Bitcoin will grow back stronger, and the dollar exchange rate exceeds 20000 is indispensable. Im thinking Christmas money, and New Years general enthusiasm will drive the price upward a bit, but I dont think the gain will be a permanent thing. The reason behind the Thanksgiving spike, I think, is that people that knew about bitcoin went around family that didnt know about bitcoin, and spilled the beans. there is a spike usually associated with holidays globally, on some interesting shit. Observe price spikes at Chinese New Year, Christmas, and Diwali  ;)

As we're heading towards the end of the year as well we have got few days left for Xmas. But this time surely price bump takes place. I think it is the right time to buy since the price is very low. Expect upcoming pump before the year ends. The reason that I can think of for the recent btc price drop is because people are converting their btc to fiat because of the christmas season. Surely,the market will fully get over this and in fact,positive signs can already be seen which shows that the increase have now taken place. It is possible for Bitcoin to again reach such market value this yeadr since there's still enough time left especially if the increase will be continuous.

If the bitcoin dominance is low then which market do you think is dominating. The price of bitcoin did not go down that much as it is well above the $9k mark and it is a really good sign as we have a good support at these valuation now, a couple of good trading days could push the market over $10k which could trigger another rally. I was hoping for this price too but my prediction is almost $30k, but according to professional and their prediction btcoin will hit the price with 10x before 2018 ends so for me it was the right time to buy bitcoin.

Bitcoin price will fall in the start of 2018 it will continue till April and starts to rise again in the second quarter. Today the price 8730 usd and still pumping there are few price corrections but i think the bullish trend is coming after US government stops taxation of crypto exchanges. So buy the dips while you still can.

With current developments, I expect Bitcoin to be able to surpass $ 20,000 this year. It may have risen but could not rise above $ 17,000, which is my estimate of Bitcoin in 2018. I found that Bitcoin rose very fast, but it fell shortly afterward so the overall growth rate meager.

I think it has a good chance to make it to $11,500 by the end of the year.

I am true believer of bitcoin, and I think bitcoin price is increasing and, the negative impact of rumors is over now. if any positive news come in favor of bitcoin then it can reach at $20000 by the end of 2018. because many countries are planing to regulise bitcoin as a legal tender.

The price will not develop such jerks, the growth will gradually, and we can see the price of $ 20,000 pretty not soon.

Apparently, bitcoin value dropped about 50% from its highest value last year before it even reached january. This already an old thread but anyways, $20K reach within a week seems to impossible this time but within the year, chances maybe possible but now now. The resistance for it's growth seems to me that it is stronger since bitcoin hasn't cross the $10K mark since it had increase last few months ago.However, I believe that bitcoin can make a good recovery in the coming months let's say Q4 of the year wherein this was the quarter of last year when bitcoin had went up to almost $20K mark.

We are just in a middle of another correction. Don't you think that people wanted to buy presents with the money they have earned on Bitcoin. Now's a good time to buy bitcoin because the price is going to skyrocket soon again. I don't see Bitcoin touching $20K level anytime before April 2018. Bitcoin will hit AHT in 2019, probably closer to the end. However, anything can happen anytime, especially considering possible manipulations.

We can't really expect bitcoin to boom at a price like that, the reason for this is because:
1. Bitcoin's curren status is very undesirable, prices continue to fall down as people are cashing-out their investments
2. Bitcoin's value is too low to expect that anytime soon it would reach a certain high amount as 20,000$
3. Bitcoin's bubble already popped few montha ago, and considering the curent numbers and graphs, we can't expect a price increase at the end of this year above 15,000$
This are tge reasons why I think bitcoin wouldn't recover just yet, but given the time and the support of us investors in tge said cryptocurrency, there is no doubt that we would be able to pull through.

Within a week or within a short time reaching such a value is simply impossible. The chance of reaching big as the previous ath increases based on the increasing demand, the increasing investors as well the real time acceptance of bitcoin similar to traditional fiat.

Bitcoin will definitely  reach 20K$ bur there is no assurance that it will happen this very year. This year is actually a trying time for bitcoin, we have seen how it showed tremendous changes in price.  Price will surely recover and regain its highest peak, its just that there will be no assured time to where it will happen. Just hold, Bitcoin price is going to the moon abd beyond again.

Everyone is hoping for the price to reach $20k dollars but as of today, there are negative speculations that is affecting the mindset of traders which makes the price to dump because they cannot handle the pressure in the market and they tend to sell their coins at the lowest price.

OP was asking when the price was actually $18k + and it actually reached nearby and then it started to crash so i think what you are telling is the current position of bitcoin and you are reacting to the older post.

Well it went long enough already and there's been a lot of speculation between then and now. People shouldn't hope for another 20k run since it's likely that there's nothing of that level that will happen soon. Just thinking realistically.

Hello everybody. That the price will be much more than $ 20,000, I do not even doubt why so many zeros were done after the decimal point. I think that the margin of the price for Bitcoin is huge - there is much to grow. I strongly doubt that the price for Bitcoin in a week will be $ 20,000, but, it is likely that this year, the price will storm this price. I believe while the information background is such as it is now, it is unlikely that we will see serious movements. In general, it's a pity to even waste time on such predictions - it's better to do business. Bitcoin from us will not go anywhere, as the rapid growth begins, again at every step will talk about it

I have no doubt that the price of bitcoin will return again to the high levels observed in December 2017, although we should be open to the possibility of this happening this year, or perhaps it will happen within several years.

We must remember that the only similar reference was when the bitcoin price exceeded the barrier of $1,000 in December 2013, which was followed by a sharp drop that would only be recovered after two and a half years of quite calm in the market.
