I have increased my portfolio. I Have seen so many alt coins that were cheaper and I was holding on to ETH thinking  it will pave out. I wish i bough altcoins with it as that would got me some profits.

I was watching when it was less than 1 cent. today it is 25 cents. Wish I had invested in it when My gut  instincts was for it.

Did not want to loose the ether as i lost my other eth in Confido scam. Please advise.

From my opinion if you have 1 ETH then you should hold it for long term. Because ETH price will increase very soon. In that case i will recommend you if you hold then you will get a very good profit from them. Or you can trade with this 1 ETH this is also a profitable way for you.

Well this days there are so many altcoin with promising future, but there is always a high level of risk involved when it have to do with investing into altcoins. I will advise anyone when investing into any altcoin, you should be able to do some home work by trying to understand the concept of the project, study there road map. Possibly consult some persons who have a better understanding and experience  about cryptocurrencies.

Undoubtedly holding ether will give big returns, also trading ether with alts will also be rewarded. He can actually increase the amount of ether he has.

i will suggest you to invest. money in circulation will make you more money rather than holding the ethereum. chose your tokens or coins sell high then buy low, do it again and again, you will may make 2 eth from 1 eth in a month

Patience is the man key in this business. Panic is never, never good advisor. In my opinion Etherium will go over a thousand in a short period of time, so I will advise you to hold, but in the end of the day is your call.

The best idea will be split it on 30-40 alt coins. Find some promising coins in other topics here and buy them all. Then forget about your invesments for 0.5 year and prepare for a good profit  :) Best strategy fow low cash amounts.

To my mind, in order to be sure, you can hold it for any time. But, in order to risk, you can buy altcoins. For example, AION. It has good future.

Hey bud, you posted this same topic TWICE. I would suggest to lock the other one. Anyway, I also had this decision, to buy alts or hold. But I've seen good price of ETH and I am now holding 75% of my funds and 25% to two alts. That's how I diversify my trading funds.

If you hold onto the 1 ETH, it will always be worth 1 ETH.  If you invest in an ICO or trade with it, you have a chance of making more ETHs. 

I think to Transact buy alt or defend depending on each person. If want a fast profit then there is a good buy and sell transactions you conduct or otherwise offer them. But if I think I prefer retaining it and collect more ethereum because the value of the eth is good and can be a long-term investment that has the potential for the development of good and profitable with increasing prices from year to year.
 

If you think that your investment to that altcoin would gain you a big return or a profit gain then you should invest it but also you should remember that once you have done that it will stay onthat coin for a long time since that is the only way to earn high in altcoins. If you hold on to it, I think there is no loss since you have the control over your money like if you are in need, you could exchange it asap.

I'd say you sell it and hold on to Cardano or NEM. coz these two platforms are outperforming ETH. In fact NEM did much better that ETH in 2017. Cardano is introduced to overcome inbuilt problems f ETH. Cardano is scalable and more efficient. Thereby they will be adopted in future than ETH. I believe BTC/ETH won't be the future for the cryptocurrency. they are simply the first generation. In 2018 people will move into more innovative and   efficient platforms/currencies.

what i can suggest,hold on it for now because it might have a brighter future and also reach the unexpected price that we could ever imagine. or if you are not satisfied with it, try buying altcoins that might have a good future with it, like ESC ETN and so on. Just do a further research for it and you will see what would be the best option for your concern.

If you do not have experience in investing, then you can just keep ETH. But you can buy cheap coins with a great potential. For example, Nem, ripple. These coins can give you more profit for sure.

Yes for me also i was holding some of my coins with high expectation and courage while it was dumping very hard now its value more than double Now i got some coin 2x some are more than 10x . Some coins i really regret not buying one is DENT another one Centra . Now price reaching to moon.

I'd probably hold on if I have 1 ETH on my wallet. I have this feeling that ETH will be the next Bitcoin so considering having 1 ETH in the future with the price of 1 BTC now is considered a fortune to me enough to build a simple house. Hold on my friend eth has reached at a highest point of $900. It is currently down because the market is highly volatile and as always btc is falling so this is also why eth is falling.

Repentance always comes at the last, but there are still lots of altcoin which is better than the alt you saw. Now if you are planning to hold Ethereum or some altcoin they can give both profit actually, but for me it is much better to hold Eth compare to other altcoin.

There are problems with Ethereum blockchain design, it has frequent bottlenecks. Each node has to process every single transaction in the entire network. Plus Proof of Work is quite expensive.
Other than these old problems, there is another issue that once the smart contract is loaded onto the blockchain, it becomes immutable and irreversible. In case there is a bug its ramifications can be devastating.

It is better to hold on to it while the price is lower. Patience is a virtue.

The rule is obvious, if the project is promising, hold your project tokens/coins. If the project is moderately promisin, get back to ETH to protect your USD value. The USD value of the portfolio may melt.

ETH price should increase since its been pretty stagnant the past few days so I would wait for it to top its last ATH. After that I would sell into some lesser known alt coins with good use case and bright futures that are under 40m market cap for an easy 2x/3x.

you'd better buy altcoin whose price is still cheap, as under $ 1 so when gained more profit than holding ETH, my suggestion is better buy altcoin XVG.

The less risky decision is to keep the 1 ETH that you own.

You can hold your ethereum because this coin is a potential coin and for sure you will earn a lot of profit in the future if you hold this coin. I believe they have possibility once bitcoin die the next bitcoin will be ethereum. For sure many people earn a lot profit becaude they bought ethereum when the price is cheap.

If I have 1 Ethereum today I would rather buy top Altcoins that has the potential to become the next Ethereum or even the Bitcoin.

Investing into underrated but good coins is one of the best shot for the future. You can get a lot of coins out from 1 Ethereum so if that coin you'll invested will rise more then you're very lucky.

EHT is one of the best altcoins now. It can increase to $1000 ETH in 2018. So you should not sell them now to invest in other coins. Unless you wanna get profit quickly, you can sell it and buy ICO tokens.

I will guess you to keep holding because ethereum is the best profitable investment as i know than any altcoins. I also know Ethereum have potential to rise in the future although the value of ethereum can be considered as under value since a few months ago hit 0.1 Bitcoin.

If you want to earn  a lot of money from your 1 ETH , you have to use it to invest in some other projects. Or else you can hold it for earning fewer money than investing .

What coin are you talking about that went up by 25x? Yes it is a good idea to diversify your portfolio. Do not just hold Eth. I believe in eth and that you will or it greatly but you could have smaller investments in other coins and use those profits to help your main investment which is Eth.

if it was me I will hold 0,5 eth & the rest I buy for token or maybe participate on ICO. ethereum is great for long term invesment but I think sometimes we need to gain more proffit on short term trading. buy some token and sell it back when it high to get more ethereum, off course its all risky, you can win or loose

1 eth is a good start in investing. But you really need to be careful in choosing what altcoin are you planning to invest to. That's a good thing for short term investment. But if you want a long term, my advice is just hold on to your eth, the coin is increasing even though not as fast as btc. But eth has a bright future.

Invest half of your ethereum into other coins like XRP or other coins which has been in trending in recent times and make quick money with that by trading them when price bump occurs and buy other coins when it dumps.Or ypu can invest on ICOs which give more proifts than altcoin investments but many ICOs are scam so research about the ICO before investing on them.

The best one is to hold your eth you do not know how far the others will take or stand plus if you can't decide better to be at piece in ethereum than to choose the other but make you worried all the time.

I think it is better to exchange the ETH to Alts. Which of? It depends on you. You can listen to others and to commit an error, but you can trust your intuition and win a jackpot. I would have considered good projects, which hasn't promoted yet, but already traded much more then ico prices.
