Title: [Demographics Polling] Language 2013-2014
Post by: Kluge on July 30, 2013, 07:30:41 AM
Keep in mind, results are for BTCTalk.org, not Bitcoiners at large. Please do not misconstrue.

Topic hub with all polls -- Please discuss in the hub thread, not on this thread! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=264649.0)

Comparison: ronpaulforums.com
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=288&d=1301577544
Sample size - 315 08-09, 141 09-10, 59 10-11

Wording is NOT preserved for this particular poll, because it was A)designed for a US forum and B)always contentious due to how specific you can get. I instead decided to change course and instead ask which language a person most frequently speaks. Due to polling limitations, there are some very notable absences in this list, and I expect a strong showing in "Other." The list contains only the most-spoken languages in the world.

(P.S. Words like "spic" were the "shorthand" for the limited space available for the graph -- it obviously wasn't the poll option  ;))

German?
Only went with the top-8 spoken languages (by # of speakers). This left out French, too.

If there are enough in the "Other" category, I'll add it in for the 2014-2015 poll.
