Although its not a law a circular has a full effect on a law the only difference here is that a circular can be easily change or be remove at all. The Bangladeshi Central Bank does not know what they are doing and is obviously acting on its own abusing their own seated power. Once a citizen will be caught transacting with Bitcoin they have the burden to prove that they are really using Bitcoin for money laundering and for financing terrorist which is really hard to do so as it is because you will trace it in the Blockchain which will be a never ending route.

As far as working in this forum and earning bitcoins,I would suggest you to use VPN and continue earning bitcoins.If you have any friend abroad using bitcoin,just sell him your bitcoins and ask him to send money to your bank account.Hope this would be little bit useful to you.

It just goes to show that when it comes to protecting their own best interest, the government can wear a mask to make it look like  they're the good guys when in reality, they're not. Regulating is one thing, but stating that it would be illegal to trade bitcoins in their own country is another. Well that is a very sad news coming from Bangladesh if this information is true then the government has totally lost it because this is just the bigining if illegal use of bitcoin, what the government should know is that bitcoin is decentralized and at that it can not be ban by any government or institution. Yes its clear defeat of government as its accepting the really of failure of control with technology. BD belongs to tier 3 country means poor country. Governments of such countries are mostly dominated with political power, and if controller of such countries don't have mentality to adopt then its big loss of country's business, development, economy, future and growth . And such centralization will lead to undeveloped country.

I think you have to quit bitcoin if you have to deal with a criminal, because if it is established by law we can not do much. but if you have the guts you can trade in secret and hidden.

Well thats a very bad news. I am from India just a neighbour to Bangladesh and if such a thing is happening in Bangladesh its quite obvious that India will also be affected by such transition. India which is unable to fix its mind upon legality of bitcoin might also take some harsh step if it sees Bangladesh gaining some success with this decision. Moreover banning is really not the solution to it. Regulation is need to control bitcoin not banning.

Anyway, what is the reason that government is giving. This might be a idea of some unknown people in the regulatory institute. They do not know how what this is, and do not want to study what it is. So easy way is to ban it all. They can regulate it according to the states low and control some functionalities as required, but totally prohibiting will make the things worse. Excuse me, I do not quite understand how it is possible to track operations with Bitcoin in relation to a particular person. If all currency exchanges occur on informal exchanges, where the user does not even give any of his data, and any person can make a lot of operations with different crypto-currencies per day! Then how to understand that it was a particular citizen who operated with the crypt, and then transferred it all to the Fiat, and deduced it on a bank card in state currency? After all, the proceeds to the bank card in the state currency are not considered illegal, as I understand it :D

That's not logic at all. Bitcoin is not a crime. That's the result of the criminal activities that are funded with bitcoin. It affected bitcoin image worldwide and several countries are starting to make severe decisions towards bitcoin. I really hope that changes soon otherwise it would have negative effects on bitcoin.

Bitcoin gives a financial freedom to persons who are into the bitcoin community, how will it be a crime when posting on blogs, forums, and sharing on social networking sites. It is a digitized form of currency can be used world wide in exchange for products and services without a third party involvement in the transaction and all transactions are recorded in the public ledger. But some use this technology for criminal activities such as drug dealing, smuggling and so on all I want to ask the Bangladesh Government is that all this same criminal activities are taking place without bitcoin too which means fiat currencies are also used in all such activities and why don't your Government take measures for that or will they still stop fiat currency then the Government will have to think of barter system. To the people in Bangladesh all I would suggest is that to get out of your country;D, may be in the future when the value of bitcoins still keep on rising your Government will accept this technology.

Well, I can't blame your government for implementing that law because I'm sure that all they want is only the best for your country, just understand and try to look at the positive side of it. Maybe in their point of view, cryptocurrency gives more harmful effects instead of more benefits in your country that's why they did it.

Ooops,that's sad to hear it.But still you can hold your bitcoins because trading is the illegal and you can make more profits in holding the bitcoin also but it needs to be in long term.So you just buy more bitcoins and other coins and keep it in cold storage the ban maybe removed in the future.
But you still can buy and sell bitcoins from exchange of other countries because bitcoin transaction is fully anonymous but we have to respect the rules of our country so it is better to stop it completely.

I think you have to keep silence about BTC. If noone knows you use it, if you dont use exchanges, if you dont chat about it at local social networks, if you dont brag your profit, if you do transactions between users you in trust with, if you dont pay attention on you in general then you will be safe.

BTC is probably illegal in our country because it may affect the domestic currency of BTC or provide money laundering and other criminal activities. People can not trade BTC, but you can hold BTC, you can also trade in foreign websites.

i was taking to a friend of mine the day before about crypto currencies and how it could change the entire world financial system you what he told me that iam trying to convince the people of an advanced technology and they are still leaving the ice age with no offence to anyone of course but seeing these kind of acts for some governments around the world its like they dont understand the potential behind  this advanced technology  but you have to ask your self this when china banned bitcoin did the Chinese  people stopped the use of it ? ,,, no they just made them selfs a black market which is harder to catch or regulate i hope governments could understand the idea behind crypto currency and legalized at the end  it will be a hard fight but its for the benefit of the world

Even though the government of Bangladesh has deemed the use of bitcoin illegal in their political jurisdiction but they have no devices yet of technology on how to identify people who are engaging in bitcoins. The best thing we you can do now is to continue doing bitcoin in secret and then just spend them outside of your country. If for example you have a lot of bitcoin then try living abroad like the Philippines and spend your hard earned bitcoin there.

If I were you, I will continue doing Bitcoin and keep holding it. This shows that government are afraid of bitcoin's growth but there is no doubt with that bitcoin will be the future currency and govenrments need to understand this.Still you can trade your bitcoins with other country exchanges and no one can find that you are using bitcoins.

It does matter when the government (and even the users) is ignorant of how bitcoin works and think it's related to HYIPs.  In my country for example, the use of bitcoin for failed HYIPs and Ponzi schemes was how bitcoin made an entry till people became 'smart' and left these schemes. Now the mention of bitcoin to any person is quickly associated to these ponzi schemes and other negative ones.

China used OTC, so there's a chance that you can still engage though, but it must be underground to say the least. It's really pity to see that a lot of governments are really against bitcoin. Aw, i'm so sorry to hear that news. Even having bitcoin banned in my country is already so bad and annoying. Still good thing it's not considered something illegal and will be put in jail for whoever use it.

It is easy to hide your activity regarding exchanges in Bitcoin and trading but I wonder how will you convert to FIAT money since you say that your country has very strict laws regarding money laundering ?

It is very telling when a nation bans Bitcoin. It's one thing to warn people about it using at their own discretion but when you ban Bitcoin it makes me wonder what the real reasoning behind that decision is. It's also telling that corruption is so high in Bangladesh and I can imagine a small amount of people would be threatened by the lack of financial control Bitcoin would bring if the people of Bangladesh decided to adopt Bitcoin.

Government, Central bank and many economy experts are completely against cryptocurrencies.  We have bitcoin exchanges in our country. People are trading regularly and earning money. My country have nearly 14% bitcoin traders. Still Central bank of my country is issuing warnings from time to time against use or investment in bitcoin currency. Use of bitcoin is illegal in my country. Government is considering investment in decentralised, digital currencies as most risky trade. In future they may ban bitcoin completely or will regulate it.

I don't think it will last longer... Bitcoin has a huge potential both country and its people may be your Country is making a law or they thinking how they will implement regulations on using bitcoin and I don't think they will not bring it back maybe it will take a while but I am sure they are just making some regulations or law to make it legal.

Bitcoin is legal in many countries,I was lucky because bitcoin is legal in my country.I suggest you to use of any paying VPN to avoid of this.If you use of Vpn,you can't be tracked by the police or any one.But for that you need to spend some money.I think it will be a temporary ,bitcoin will became a legal in your country also.

Sadly but in India income tax has made some rules on Bitcoin. They clearly stated that any money imported in a country or exported from the country has to pay tax so they have made like 15 or 20 set of rules which every Bitcoin at should follow in India. I do not see it as an offence but it is good to pay taxes but I do not understand why government is even taking the taxes all I know is that Income taxes are taken from Those who work on somewhere and get income and government takes tax from those to help on services like police department and fire station.

I think that poor countries like Bangladesh, not meaning to offend anyone, should take the advantages of bitcoin and help themselves and their citizens and not to ban it. Around the Asian countries bitcoin as well other digital currencies were gaining more popularity. In this time such a news from one among the country is simply bad for a growing network. Bangladesh is near to Nepal and here too the bitcoin had got banned, but people continue to use through the Indian traders.
