It might do well in Chinese New Year but then it will get dumped soon after. Could be good for day trading but not for a long term hold. I would go with NEO which is the Chinese version of Ethereum. This is a safer bet for 2018, should go into triple digits next year

As far as cryptocurrency is concerned anything is possible. Dogecoin is a stable coin. Its price has been increasing for some time. It wouldn't cost you much to buy several thousand doge and hold. I think it is a high potential coin in 2018.

DOGE is the currency to moving funds from exchanges due to its low cost of tx fees and liquidity. I myself do not think it is gonna go up that much but always gonna be around. I would not keep them for long term unless you have mined them and have some left in your wallet. I used to love DOGE because of its history and a lovely community behind it.

I like to buy doge, when I want to withdraw from exchange to local exchange. We know that the cost of withdrawal btc and eth is very expensive, so I chose this option because the cost of doge withdrawal is very cheap.

I'm sure the future price of doge will continue to rise following the other alt.

It will surely rise but don't expect it to be that profitable because there is a probability of it rising a little but it won't last long. It would be more profitable to invest to other alts rather than investing into dogecoin now. It also ain't being developed further so it won't possibly pump much again. New year somehow will only generate a little hype into it since it is the year of the dog like you say, and some people will think of buying doge because of it. It wouldn't surprise me to see a slight pump given that already much of the DOGE trade is in China. I don't expect that it will make the price go crazy though, something like maybe a 20% increase is my expectation.

The title of this topic attract me to read some other member comment in my point of view the year 2018 give some challeges to the people who wants to create project and for all altcoin.
We cannot predict if Dogecoin will rise in the year of the dog if can only tradable in short period of time but the good thing that I love Doge is the transaction are too fast and the fee are also low if you compare to btc right now.

I think this coin has a great future, i also have this coin since last year i hold it for long period of time and wait for the right time to sell it. I am waiting to make 500× profit since i do not really need a fund for now and the current value i only get 200× but still i am holding this coin.

This is a tough one to answer if you ask me. Dogecoin is one of the most curious and interesting coins I have encountered in the crypto world and almost everyone in the crypto community share my view. The fact that it was created as a joke and still survives to this day is a testament to how weird this coin really is. The obvious logic here would be to HODL these coins for profits in the long term since I don't see this coin providing big profits in the short term. Invest small amount into this coin if you wish to take a chance on this coin.

Dogecoin can't be considered as an investment. It's mainly focused for daily uses like tipping.
Though it can be used for diversifying your portfolio. There are many other options that may bring better profit.

The coin was created in December 2013 and it currently occupies the 43th position in the list of cryptocurrencies based on market cap. .Despite its recent gains, Dogecoin cannot currently be categorized as one of the best performers of 2017.So i think it would be better not to buy doge.

I would advise to stay away from DOGE.  It is a classic and has its rightful place in crypto history, however I think with all the new opportunities and advancements that have been made that DOGE coins best days are behind it.

I'm not too sure about Doge coin, I think the new year won't really affect doge coin prices, I think it's very strange to measure the value of an altcoin just because the new year, Doge has to innovate and cooperate with other companies, I think Doge must imitate Ripple and Stellar Lumens.

I think the dog's coin is suitable for short-term investment. Maybe it's like you said it's a dog coin in 2018. It will have pig and pig coins in 2019, so I don't think this is a good project worthy of long-term investment. For cryptocurrencies, I only choose Bitcoin.

I still doubt for all the coin prices at the end of the year, because we can see the market conditions until now it has not shown a positive movement and even become worse every month, so for DOGE there is still no certainty whether at the end of the year it will be better or getting worse.
