with south korea's move and bitcoin's overall downtrend do you think it an go further below 10k?

There's a high chance that we might see sub-$10k by January as this month is notoriously known to be the month where bitcoin struggles the most. Chances are we hold $13-$14k and not see sub-$10k or see $10k and be brought to the depths of $7500-$8000 before a yet another extreme run to higher highs. Lots of possibilities and we, as mere speculators, can only guess.

My opinion is bitcoin will be back to more than 10k so better to keep bitcoin so we can a big profit.

I'm thinking we won't go back to sub $10K levels any more, since the upward resistance at the $10K level will probably be very strong. I think the price will continue to remain below the $15K level for some months, and the push will begin towards the second quarter of the year. But as always, this is just speculation since it is pretty much impossible to determine the future course of cryptocurrencies.

I think.. it can.. for sure.. because it's unpredictable entirely , we cannot say anything about it.. and downward trend according to me is gonna stop after 1st week of January because after that.. we can easily get the holiday season abay ..after 1st of January , there will be plenty of investors.. flocking in then,

Based on the last big fall from 4 years ago then you might expect a slow fall throughout 2018 to end up sub 4k.

Problem is, this time bitcoin is broken, so unless it gets fixed there's no reason it can't go lower. I mean, how can something that doesn't do what it was meant to, be worth $1 million let alone $200 billion.

The bigger risk is something becomes bigger than btc (possibly eth) but that could then trigger a sudden realization that there isn't anything particularly special about btc so could then fall yet further.

Why are investors going to invest in something that doesn't work and is valued at $200 billion. Investors invest in things that are either very cheap with a big upside, or something that offers a reasonable dividend. Your Dad might invest $1000 dollars but institutional investors will look elsewhere.

Yes,I think bitcoin price will decrease below $10K,I think it will go upto $8K.This is happening due to the high transaction fee I think because we can't use our bitcoins when needed most so people look for coins with faster transaction and cheaper fee.So only the price of ripple bumping in recent days.

A lot of scamming and hacking has happened in the past few days and the other thing is Christmas, also people got panic about this and started to sell their BTC. I am hoping it arises once these panickers leave Bitcoin.

It will mostly hover around 10-20k for the first few months of January and then will get it's break again and increase in value again. Asians long as there's no much of panic selling the fluctuations will eventually bring up bitcoin's value back up.

as long as it doesn't break 10K usd level, I don'T see any problem. This is part of any market mate. Every market including crypto currencies work in same principles. It works like ocean tides, waves. If you are curious about it search wave trading or Eliott waves. So that can be correction wave, if that is so there is no problem.

IMO, bitcoin will not break the 10k level unless there are more fuds going on. But we might see some sell off end of January to early February since the Chinese New Year is at mid February.

I'm not sure whether the bitcoin price will drop to $ 10k by the end of this year. Although we know the price of bitcoin has decreased now but certainly not falling as low as that, and I believe if the price of bitcoin will increase again in March 2018.

With BTC, anything is possible but personally I do not see a sub-10k price in January and beyond . A price fall can happen but Worst case is 13k.

Possibly it will go down below 10k. But those are not bad news. The value of BTC will increase in 2018, so investing in BTC when its below 10k will be more profitable.

Price of BTC was going up, fees got stuffed up to silly levels and it stated to trade sideways and
now it's dropping.

In my opinion, this is exactly whats gonna happen to bitcoin. BTC price will go down, maybe under 10k, caused by threatening news around the world.
Then its the right time to buy or rebuy bitcoin. We just have to take the chance and make profit with it.

Price of the bitcoin as of now is 13k dollars as of now and they have possible the price this coin will decrease and possible we see the price become 10k dollars below But I hope the price of this coin will increase so we can make more profit in the future to those people have a lot of bitcoin in their wallet.  Pump bitcoin to earn more profit.  Buy bitcoin and keep bitcoin.

I belive that to be a possibility,  at the moment, the news from South Korea isn't very good and am sure that's the reason for the slump this last few days, many are even exchanging their bitcoins for other cryptocurrencies because the South Korean are only fixated on bitcoins at this venture.

I don't think the price will go below $11k anymore. We have a hopefully very prosperous year in front of us with many of the crypto-currencies and expecially bitcoin going slowly into mainstream. Still a minuscule procent of our world population posses bitcoin and that shows how much more upside we still have. I fully agree with all the people who are saying we will see btc price at 1 million dollars/unit in the next few years. ;)

I think Bitcoin will not come down to $10k.Bitcoin is slowly getting stabilized.But the price of Bitcoin will increase. In my opinion, Bitcoin will be high within the month of February. I am also waiting for that.

With the drops in the past, then I believe it can drop to the 10k range. But in the end, bitcoin always makes a comeback and go beyond our expectations. Back in November, people thought it might hit $10k before the new year. 

There is low possibility that scenario happen. $10K is a big psychological barrier, its going to be though if that support level break but, if that support level broken I'm sure it will go further down.

Yeah it could definitely happen. In January some of the first futures contracts are due and the way the price has gone since futures started it is very possible we could see a further drop. I would expect that 10k has a very strong psychological support level for many people and that price is now very attractive for a lot of people to buy at so we wont see lower but it may hit 10, 11 or 12 in January and fluctuate between 11-15k maybe.

Ripple seems to be gaining serious ground on Bitcoin, there is a fairly decent chance that bitcoin must crash below $10k.

I am genuinely worried that the current state of fees for bitcoin might collapse the market, unless segwit adoption is increased or the LN is fast-tracked, Bitcoin may be doomed before it has time to flourish.

I think BTC is struggling because of variety of reasons because of the bad press, panic and Ripple rush.

yes it could be possible because nothing is impossible in bitcoin. if people could realize soon that bitcoin isnt worth too much, they'll then switch out on to some other better coins like etherium and that could greatly affect the demand of bitcoin , resulting for it to decrease dramatically but i think it wont gonna happen yet because bitcoin is still expected to improve and people are still hopping that bitcoin could be the next big thing on the future.

Somehow have great confidence in the imminent new rise of  Bitcoin up. A downward trend in prices lately can be explained with the simplest of factors: a lot BTC sold for withdraw and the pay of the holidays. Especially when you consider the scale of such costs to the millionaires, who are more likely to affect exchange rates. Again, we must not forget about the upcoming next fork. There is speculation that before the fork, the price will inevitably rise, as all rush to buy back. It's certainly not 100% prediction, but at least logical.

I don't think bitcoin will go back to $10,000 but nothing is impossible when it comes to bitcoin anything can happen.


 

I really think 8k,  then some bounce

To me this does not seem very likely bitcoin is still above 13k and I do not see a reason to see an even bigger downtrend taking over the market, it seems we are going to finish the year in with a price of 12k to 15k not the highest price but sill very good if you invested before December, after that, who knows what it may happen but this seems like a good opportunity to get some cheap bitcoin.

Hello! I think this can happen bitcoin can fall down under 10.000$ and after that bitcoin can hit new records and hit 30.000$. Just imagine what will be if people start  make investment in bitcoin when it will be 30.000$ and after that again 6-7$ of course it will be hype and new circle

Thats all things shoud possible that bitcoin value will go back to 10k if  some of few investor should quits and find another kind of business and they withdraw all there bitcoins and convert to fiat dollar,but as of now,its so far that situation should that happen because, mostly all stock investor,business minded people,entreprenurs are satisfied with the benefits  and services of bitcoins,so why should they transfer if there profit in bitcoins are stable and there earning is still flowing.so as of now the value of bitcoins will sometimes rise and sometimes will down in approximately to $7k-$750k but that normal espescially in these season of holidays.

It seems very high likely that btc will try to test 10k USD soon but we all know that is a strong support so there will be a lot of noise when we arrive there.  Only thing you need to be careful that you shouldn't be caught for panic selling.

Not possible. The current downtrend of bitcoin price, I think is due to the holiday season. Most investors are risk averse and wont live their bitcoins on a wallet and go for holiday, they will rather sell and come back to buy when they resume work. Lets see next week, BTC start going to the moon.

Looking at prices right now and its movement, it is looking like it is possible. But I guess if it does touch $10,000 then it could possibly cause a huge bounce back and prices could sky rocket past $20,000 in the first quarter of 2018. Right now, it is extremely hard to get back what bitcoins lost before the year ends (which is about just 24hrs from now depending on where you live). Yes but not below 10k i think it will take months for the bitcoin price crash below 10k since there is a strong support between 9k-10k so, it will stay above 10k but some experts says the correction is somewhere at 60% in 2018 although it was earlier than the experts said due the reason thlransaction fees and bloated mempool that last for 3 weeks. It looks to me like the Asian markets (Japan and S Korea) were the initial catalyst in boosting Bitcoin from around the $11,000 level to almost touching $20,000. However if you look at some of the Korean exchanges then prices were ofter 15 - 20% higher than others. No, it won't gonna happen. Although bitcoin price now drastically drops, it will not gonna happen that it's price may drop up to $8000 coz there are still whales who were still holding their bitcoin.

Yes, there are investors who sell their bitcoin so they can have funds for new year, but that doesn't really be the reason for bitcoin price to go down beyond $8000 coz I believe that majority of bitcoin investors are holding their coin. And if bitcoin price drops, it will just recover for how many weeks. It won't happen that it will take a long time for its price to recover.

I think in the new year 2018 bitcoin exchange rate will be better and the exchange rate will skyrocket according to the development of international political temperature.

It feels like there will be a correction but can't guarantee it as I have seen too many new traders and investors getting into cryptocurrencies these days and they won't be selling them this early.

Bitcoin actually don’t compromise on its price it always push it price from low to high because it’s only the price who give respect to bitcoin so I think bitcoin is the best and one of the fast growing currency and it will go more high then this year so I don’t think so bitcoin price will go down and next year will be much more better than this year because a lot of companies and countries are going to join bitcoin and it will take its price high.

I think the upward resistance is very strong in the $12k level so I dont think that botcoin will drop to less than $10k, though every month of january, bitcoin always posted low values compared to previos month. But I dont think that this is critical, normal fluctuations are normal wiith bitcoin as well as other investments, I personally take this as an opportunity for investment as I believe that bitcoin will again make good runs in the coming months.

In my own opinion, Bitcoins will not decrease its price in the market for even less than $10k dollars but maybe, If there is a tragedy again like what happen of bitcoins then that is the only time when bitcoins might decrease its value a lot but aside from that it will be stable or increase again.

I do believe that Bitcoin will come back to around $10,000 and then go back up to $15,000 or more. I have money sitting on kraken that waits to get exchanged to Bitcoin as soon as we see it around $10,000 again. Hopefully I will be able to buy again at this price. BTC has become so far from its starting point that it would never return. There are millions of success stories of bitcoiner who has made millions from investing into BTC. So it is never possible that it would deflate below 10k$. But you can never predict the things exactly if worst thing happens then it could also deflate because of its so called disadvantages and even it's transactions involves fee also. So you could not predict future but all good will happen and the valuation will always inflate.

Bitcoin isnt broken there is too much politics, lighting network might be able to fix that if stuff starts to work out and bitcoins  might become fast like ltc and other forks of bitcoins

So there's no question that the price will go back to 10K if we compared the greater demand of bitcoin from the last five years. No, and it is already proven. The market value of Bitcoin fell down to 13000 USD but it did not go lower and in fact it is now again increasing and again becoming more expensive. The market value of Bitcoin for a long run is continuously increasing so we should not worry even if its market value fall that hard becaue it will eventually increase.

I don't expect for Bitcoin to go under 10000$. Never say never but at the moment there are no signs something like this is likely to happen. Some big disturbances might start such big crash but the market is quite resilient now and when dump happens this will be more just correction not the crash.

I think Bitcoin now in correction period so he can back to 10K but when he will fly again he can reach 50k this year and more, restriction of South Korea is nothing if the world accept Bitcoin

I think of this also , because it stopped increasing last month of 2017 and might fall again. I think one of the factor is the growing of ETH, that received its increased and worth for about $1000 now. $10000 will be possible of this would continue to happen and such a great loss for bitcoins to ETH. But no one could exactly tell what would be the next to occur either increase or decrease. hmmm.

Correction period?  Last week it was below $14,000, today it was higher than $17,000!

Bitcoins value will grow further because it started from 13k this 2018 and it only means that more investors will come since bitcoin is inevitable even some of the country is banning bitcoins. Banks will really get affected because they will lose some of their investors but they cannot do anything about cryptocurrency since there are so many people who are very interested on it.
