Is etherdelta now safe to use since it was hacked?

Yes, it is. But to be safe you must use Metamask or Ledger wallet. Do not import private key directly to ED - it's not safe.

I'm still not sure about etherdelta security because lately many wallets have been hacked, Many people lose valuable tokens. But if using hardware wallet (Nano Ledger S / Trezor) or metamask I feel safe, without using this don't use etherdelta.

I was able to use ED, got what little I had on it off and then used MEW to transfer to a new wallet. I'll be staying away from ED until it's clear that the DNS and security issues are handled and preventative measures are in place.

Use metamask for preventing unwanted thing happen, i never get my token or ethereum stolen though. Be safe mate.

Better use a bigger and safer exchange, like Bittrex , ED doesn't have a nice volume , but it is a good place for the beginning of an ERC220 token.

Yes completely now ok. You can use it with out any risky. But please dont input your private key. Better use it on normal way. Etherdelta imposibble to hack. They are decentralized exchanges. Hackers hacked only the dns of the etherdelta. Dns always centralized , now they have more security on that also. So now you can enjoy etherdelta without  any risk. But keep in mind, be safe on internet everything hackable

For several days now I have been trading at ED in normal mode. And today there was an official tweet about the fact that the platform returned to its previous mode of operation.

i think etherdelta is safe now. i read on cryptocurrency blog that the hacker only get access to the dns of etherdelta. i have used them in the past they are very ok until recent attack. I am sure etherdelta will do more work in order to strenghen their security to stop future vulnerability

I used it yesterday for the first time in a couple of weeks and everything went smoothly, I will probably use it less often going forward though.

Yes ofcouse i am using it everyday thats why i know,always use metamask to prevent phishing sites.

It is better be safe when using delta and not totally have full trust on about it. Because I have friends has lose his eth in this exchange. This is I just often this exchange but the rest was okay.

Though I use Etherdelta from time to time, since it is always the first exchange to list a new token, I am not 100% confident about its security.
I will never keep more than 10% of my ETH there.

It is fine now but always use Metamask or just make habit of withdrawing funds right away once you are done with the trade avoid keeping funds on website.

but someone told me, if it is safer for trading in Etherdelta please using metamask.

ED is back and running. The hack was on the DNS and not on the entire site. ED has giving information for you to know the original site. They said the fake site do not have a chat button. Just be careful.

Yes, the developers mentioned on Twitter a couple of days back that the exchange is now safe for use. However, always proceed with caution when accessing exchanges. Don't give private keys and such, as they will never ask for such things.

I am still not sure about etherdelta even i am not using this exchange any more because of the frustration which i had while releasing my fund from etheredelta was much effort full and has to fear about the holdings every day . So i am quitting etherdelta for now its time to move OAX or Idex.

Etherdelta is always safe as i am using it regularly to trade my ERC20 tokens but we have to save our login details from any hacking attack and never share private key.

After thorough consideration, I just withdrew my last ETH from etherdelta.
It doesn't mean I will never use it again.
I guess it is better to wait until it is more stable and secure.

Yes now it is safe to use. It is always safe if you use metamask for etherdelta. Etherdelta is always a good exchange as it is decentralized and will not ask for any KYC or legal documents.

I've had no security issues with EtherDelta, but it is far from the exchange I want to use. The only good thing is that they have most of the ERC20 tokens that aren't on my normal go-to exchanges.

Yes a few days past etherdelta wallet was hacked by hacker and whole wallet system interrupted. But now etherdelta wallet system is fully secure 🔐 and safe for exchange 💱.

None of the exchanges is safe. The exchanges can close at any minute and that's all. Do not keep your money there. Output the cryptocurrency in your wallets. On the stock exchange, you can keep a small part, which you will use in trading.

There has been a huge drop in the number of users of EtherDelta. I do not think they can come to their old state for a long time.

It is as safe as it was the day before it got hacked. Out of principles, I would abstain to use any exchange that has not shown ability to protect the users and their coins. So... it is not safe for me.

that maybe the application with the browser works as encompassing request to the library and displacing with the switches of abstraction to break the operation.

I tried withdrawing ETH from Etherdelta, but failed.

yes it is safe. just dont import your wallet into it. create a new wallet for that (metamask).
also beware of phising like what commonly happened on slack. there are a bunch of slack bot that act like the bot from a project that you follow.
beware of phising from duplicate sites like what happened with MEW as well. make sure the link has a green bar when you open it. bookmarking the correct link is recommended.

my computer was infected by brocoiner virus (trojan). it will make computer slow because they will use your computer to mine remotely.

Of course not, if this has already happened why can't it happen again, you always have to be careful working on the stock exchange

Yes it is safe for now,when the hacked happened i didnt open my wallets using ed,then after they resolve the issue i transfered all of my assetst to my hardwallet just to be sure.

I also want to sell one of the coins in etherdelta but still not possible because there is a little disturbance and it seems very disturbing

Yes it is really safe right now. The have just reported that they have already settled the errors that happened and took care of it. And if you really want to make sure that it is now safe, use metamask on your MEW wallet for you to be secured deeply.

I think that ED will never be safe, and not because of them but because they might get hacked again and the keys to the addresses are like sitting ducks there. Personally, I prefer a special wallet for purchases/sales and different for Holding.

I agree with you, I began to doubt the safety of etherdelta. we must keep our personal wallet so as not to be easily stolen by others. using metamask or ledger is a good choice.

Yep I think Etherdelta is very safe now but we never know what might happen in the near future so it is better to trade on etherdelta with your hardware wallet like Ledger nano or Trezor. If you don't have theses hardware wallet then you can also use metamask it is an internet browser extension that connect to your etherium account so you can trade on etherdelta without giving them your private key.

Use it with caution. Sometimes it is unavoidable as the only place to trade smaller ERC20 tokens, but as others have said, don't put your private key on there. Also don't keep more on there than you need for trading - but this is in general a good rule for all exchanges.

i'm not sure etherdelta safe or not but if you want to trade on etherdelta is safer used metamask. don't store your private key in etherdelta anymore.

This project is very interesting and I am waiting for the Alibaba partnership announcement to see the real value of this coin. The team, whitepaper and roadmap are very good. The dev are very active on social media. I think this coin still have a lot of room to grown because they didn't do some PR yet. But be careful when trading  with this coin guys, the rapid grown is very impressive but dont buy this coint at ATH.

I always use etherdelta to trade my erc token but when I read some news that this trading site are being hacked I stay away from it from almost 1week then recently I try to use it again and deposite my token but I failed to deposite my token they said that I have not enought ethereum but I have eth in my wallet what happen to etherdelta??

Even if it's safe, the platform is excruciatingly slow right now. But that's mainly because of the overloaded Ethereum network too I think.

The network works very slow because you don't set more gas,watch out on https://ethgasstation.info/ the price of gas right now, also i think EtherDelta is safe right now, i used it and I didn't had any problem.

Etherdelta is safe now and i think it is much better to use it with caution we never knew what problem will come next and also i prefer to use metamask to know if the site is having some fishy pishing and metamask can detect it and also be always cautious

No, I'm talking about both the EtherDelta website itself as well as the transactions. Both are extremely slow regardless of the amount of gas. When the recommended gas was 21 I set 45 and it still took 3 hours to come through. That's because there was a backlog.

I suggest you stay away from etherdelta. Its awful because it always has delay problems and transfer problems. My ethereum stucked there for 3 days. they make me lose money. You can try binance or bittrex. I just want to leave etherdelta.
