LTC is a safe bet for investment but I don't think it's gonna perform that well. 2018 will be the year for ICOs and new exiting altcurrencies to shine. The year of FOMO no doubt. These new competitors of BTC and LTC will attract investors and divide the community. I myself looking for unique projects those are solving current blockchain, security and mining problems with an easy to use for public solutions.

This is a really good news for me as a holder of couple hundreds of LiteCoin and this is why I'm holding still and I never get it dumped because I still believe it will pump soon and this time is the right time.

Now is the time to invest more LiteCoin because it will soon rise especially when the major news and rumors are coming out. Investors are so much attracted by this since Facebook is a Mega company that will soon support LiteCoin just in case rumors will become reality.

I don't think it will be up to high. litecoin indeed if the early look attractive and seemed to be riding high in price. But if down then the descent will also be very high.

I think it will go higher because investors are willing to invest more when the price is low so I think it will begin to pump in the following days if not today. In my personal opinion, I would invest in LiteCoin better today because rumors are spreading that it will skyrocket soon so I ride myself on board.

Are you sure about that? The facebook companies were looking for various altcoin to be added to their payment and it seems litecoin not included in it. Charlie sold all of his litecoin and what's next? There will be more bitcoin forks as competitors to the litecoin.

Facebook rumor is just a bullshit, and litecoin is already in moon. I think if it manages to stay in moon in 2018, it will be successful. I think it will not rise more.

The dump by the founder did detractors from the ascent LTC was having, but its recovering now.

I do think if it can maintain/improve  the speed and low transaction fees it will become the go to coin.

I expect it around 1500 by 2019.

Indeed, or they're making dirty tactics to get the attention of the crowd by announcing their partnership with big companies so people will invest more and will push their market into the moon.
But anyway, I don't think LiteCoin is weak, It's a good coin also but seems they're not that popular today and they struggle a lot.

I think 2018 will bring several things.

First, we see a continuation of money flowing in.  As I write, Market Cap at an all time high of $800 billion.  Unless something drastic happens, which I doubt, hitting a trillion should be easy by the end of January.  This will benefit all.

Second, the continuation of newbies and FOMO on "penny stocks" continues.  That isn't to say there isn't money to be made here or that a low priced coin isn't backed by good tech.  But there seems to be a common misunderstanding of circulating supply as it relates to price.  It would appear to be human nature to want to have a "whole" coin instead of a portion of one.  There are many people thinking they might be getting in low and see the price go to Bitcoin type value.  I don't know if it happens in 2018, but this could end up leading to a lot of losers who invested in coins just because they had a low price, but who also didn't have any tech behind them.  Even worse, scam coins.  But, where there is high risk, there is also high reward... so I'm not necessarily saying there couldn't be an ICO that becomes a top 10 coin in potentially a multi-trillion dollar market later in 2018.  That would be some serious gain.  Anything is possible.

Third, 2018 has promise for further integration of crypto.  If a few big players start accepting crypto, you may see the market shift considerably.  The "real world" application of crypto will become the focus rather than speculation.  Which coins become winners and which become losers?  If you're holding Litecoin, which already shows a great deal of usage, there would be a good chance you will be handsomely rewarded.

If it’s true then a link would be helpful to determine the validity of this good news if ever.. I need to store some litecoin before it shoots to the moon after this be implemented.. Litecoin is the most stable coin in cryptocurrency and most underrated for many years now and one of the longest existence next to bitcoin in my knowledge.. I hope I’m right because if not then I need to read a lot more crypto history lesson for sure..

I love LTC but it concerns me that Charlie Lee isn't holding it anymore.  Regardless of what he says his reasons are, if the founder does not hold then that does not instill confidence that he believes for a substantial future increase in value.

I think these people are just taking advantage of the recent news that Mark Zuckerburg is studying crypto.  It's all rumors and now that Charlie Lee sold all his litecoins, what else will drive him to make it very successful?

OP is just trying to connect the dots into something - or make a mountain out of a molehill. However, I'll agree that Lee has been very active this past few months. And if there's going to be a major partnership agreement with some big corp, they would probably want him to dump all his LTC to inspire shareholders confidence

I agree. There have been so many news and plans coming straight from its developers regarding their plan to actually boost the coin through pumping its value and increasing its market cap. I think many altcoin developers and holders are just waiting for the right time to actually make moves because they don't want to do it during the time bitcoin was surging, which is generally the main mover and factor that made so many altcoins in the market plummet in value. Since bitcoin is now stabilizing, it's the best time to keep at it and try to regain value. Thus, there is a good chance that LTC would catch fire.

Litecoin has always been in the plans and hopes of investors. And now even more so, when many alts have gone up, I also believe in this coin and I think it's time for her to show her true face and get out of the shadows. But time will tell.

I'm holding LTC for the longterm, but not buying more at current prices.

Litecoin was and is always perfectly safe investment in scenery. But after seeing its devs pump and dump I lost my trust on him. I expect to see nice returns but I wont buy it anymore.

This may indeed be the right moment for litecoin for replacement following the coin to another so that the prices could soar. the right time to invest is now also on the coins.

Litecoin is the most powerful alternative to Bitcoin's projects. A lot of new ICOs are sometimes left behind with the issue. But I think it will come at much better prices.

I like Litecoin a lot but I wish Charlie Lee did not embark on the huge marketing campaign that now seems to be very successful in getting people over to buy LTC. I like the guy, and I like the drama free project but drama seems to be creeping in slowly, and not only because it is a dev that everyone knows, but because of the marketing talk. Still, have high hopes. Do not own many coins but I will be the first to hold until years to come. I wonder if this year can test $500? You never know with Lee's surprise incoming!

I dont think now is low price of litecoin becuse its pumping recently. But i am sure the price will pump again if litecoin have relation with facebook. As we know facebook is the big giant company so it will be interesting to invest in it.

Working with Facebook is a good thing for any crypto as a positve move towards conquering big giants as a starting step. However, Litecoin working with Facebook alone wont have this much pump from $90 to $230 in a month. There should be other matters involved since litecoin working with Facebook is not officially announced until no. What ever be the reason, Litecoin would skyrocket to at least $1000 before this year end.

Hi everybody, I'm onboard since price was at 50!, not that long ago...

I love several things about lite:

It is super fast... I would say the fastest coin I have checked.
It has cheaper fees than other cryptos... including eth which i also have.
It is starting with marketing campaigns and that is good.
It is in the top 10-20 of cryptos and will be there in the long term.

Howver, i dont like the recent exit from satoshilite. I think the founder should be involve in different ways, developing, getting new deals but also promoting the coin aligned with his own interests. This recent sell off smells bad to me. What prices are you expecting for late 2018. I think it will fluctuate between 100 and 1000 easily. haha

Honestly, I dont think the FB rumour is real. And perhaps I'm wrong but I would say that bitcoin is the one who is going to benefit from lighting network the most. Am i wrong?

Litecoin price was going deep and deep, I think this coin are not like the other that fight to survive in the future. I sight to this coin it was contented with their current value.

I think developer of this coin are quite regarding price of litecoin in the market, I cannot see any improvement regarding their value in the market. So I cannot hold my amount last I invest in this coin, because I'm scared to lost my investment.

I dont think that LTC price will ever be more expensive than ETH price. But LTC will become more expensive definitelly, one of the reason that many stores in DarkNet accept or are going to accept LTC because BTC comission is awful high for buyers.

Litecoin is a good alternative to bitcoin because the transaction fee is lower and the transaction speed is a lot faster, the price is also cheaper so it's a good investment maybe it will rise a lot who knows

First time i heard that facebook is planing and cooperating with some cryptocurrency about its implementation into facebook on my national television. And now i read about same thing here. I must say that if Litecoin deliver all that, it will be great move for it. If they really implement Litecoin into facebook, price of it will go high. Who can say what will happen for certain in the future.

Sincerely litecoin is still undervalued,it will sure moon but this will take more time . Litecoin should at least 500$ dollar today being one of early coin but it still moving with 200- 290$. It worth holding litecoin because when it moves ,it can do 4x with 3 days .

He is involving himself to another project that's why he sold all his Litecoin and he even confirmed that its not a big chunk of Litecoin. He is moving to another project that will conflict with Litecoin, another reason for his departure. Although its really hard not to speculate that the price of Litecoin will go down when he exited, which is what we are seeing right now.

I also bought Litecoin around $40, I just had a hunched that its going to be pump but I have also exited at the top price and didn't bother to invest on it again because of the Lee departure.

But yeah, its really very fast based on my experience, it bitcoin could be like that, the price of it could be beyond $20K but today. Anyways, let's see how it goes for Litecoin. it has huge potential, its just a matter of time again before it will be pump and push the price to new all time highs.

Now LTC does not fly to the Moon yet, but it seems that soon it will happen. The coin hasn't move for a while and there is a high probability that soon there will be another growth. Investments in this coin are still relevant imo.

In 2018 there will be a good opportunity for many coins to grow as more and more users are interested in crypto currency. But I do not think that Litecoin will fly to the moon, it's just rumors for the PR of a coin.

Feeling like selling all my bitcoin and buying more Litecoin with it. I've been about 60/40 LTC/BTC for the past 30 days, seen some gains, but the way BTC is ticking by I'm feeling like I'd make more even if LTC only went up to $400 anyway...

I don't think so, For the sake of truth, the assertion that Steam will begin to use Litecoin over Bitcoin may not be true at all. If you try googling it, there's really no primary source of information that confirms this. Also the links in the article don't give any reference. I wish it were true, but I'm skeptical of these potentially game-changing news.

Litecoin will always be one of the most cheapest altcoins, and for me, it is one of the best ones after ethereum. You can send payments for less than $0,50 worth of fees, that is the first thing that really amazes me, and it is funny to use it for speculation too.

It's not only one of the cheapest, but it's one of the fastest.

I think litecoin deserve more spot light, litecoin is one of the great coin but lack of support, the price has gone up gradually but for investment the price still moving too slow, even with a big rumour last year it can't help the price to go up, hopefully there will be some company adapt LTC, I think LTC is a bit undervalued and a little bit being underestimated

It does seem as though litecoin is starting to get a good push, it has been on the sidelines for a long time even though it's price is as high as it's every been.

I did recommend to a few people to buy some litecoin which they did and then the price dropped a fair bit but they are sticking with it for the long run which is good as it's never nice to suggest someone buys something and then they lose lots of money.

I was doubting that it will go up continuously and didn't buy when the price is at the middle and now here I am hating myself for what happens.

Litecoin is undervalued.  Even more so now that it is introducing the Litecoin pay which will be enticing to merchants.  Merchants won't have to worry about exchange fees and exchange rates as it states they will be paid in Fiat.  Also will be accepted anywhere Visa is accepted.

Litecoin is just a bitcoin clone.  Its pretty useless since we already have bitcoin.

Probably it will even skyrocket that much when the fork will be done on the block it will be. If the devs works hard too on the coin for the development I will say it will even up more.

Litecoin have potential to increase the price in the future.  Like today the price become very high.
