What do you think will be the value of bitcoin in the end of 2018?

I was inspired to create this thread because i was amazed when i saw a previous thread that was created around may and were guessing that the value of bitcoin at the end of the year would be around $6,000, i would also agree on that day that it would be just around $5,000 - $6000 in the end of the year and was also surprise that it reached $20,000 before the year end. So what is your guess? BTC

In 2017 it crossed $2000 to $10.000. So what is happning in year 2018 is so intersting. i think it may be $3000 cross if i see the graph ;D

it is like this because you can only speculate about the price to some extent based on the things you know at any present time. for example in 2014-1-1 you could not have possibly known that big names in mainstream such as CME and NASDAQ are going to even start talking about bitcoin let alone add a bitcoin related market! or the same with Japan and a lot of other things.

all you knew was that adoption is growing and it can go from $900ish by that time to $2000-$3000 in a year based on the previous years and the situation at that time.

same with now. you don't know what will happen in the future. maybe US dollar finally collapses this year and bitcoin goes to $1 million by the end of 2018!
it is clear that it will continue to rise with more adoption and it will be at the very least above $40k in my speculation...

The answer to this question will really be very interesting for all of us.
Many people claim the price will reach $ 100K at the end of 2018.

I think Bitcoin will continue to grow but I would not rely on more than $ 35K in December 2018.

Anything that we can say now about the end price of bitcoin in 2018 will be speculation. There seems to be a a correcting price of bitcoin which was also seen in the dump that happened in 2017 December but optimistically speaking, it may soar again just like what happened during the rise in 2017 November.

In 2017, the price of BTC is really amazing. Since its inception, BTC has seen its market value increase too much. In 2018, the price of BTC can not be predicted, but I think it should continue to grow.

I raise the price of bitcoin to $50,000 in 2018, but it may be the arrival of a bubble after arrival.

I'm guestimating also around $35k - $50k by end of 2018

This could be a very interesting thread to come back and check in a year..

Of course, this is purely speculation but I was also thinking around the $35-$50k range..

$30,000 this will be the most close and possible price that I can predict at the end of 2018 for bitcoin's price. Even though there are speculations that are giving us too much number but still I believe that this is the most realistic price at the end of this year.

So many eye looking for this predict and hope the prediction can go through or maybe more than prediction.
Its interesting to know what happen with the price but before that let i predict based on last year moves.
I think bitcoin can reach $30k at least at the end of this year.

I think that by the end of the year bitcoin will reach one hundred thousand dollars! And it's not the most optimistic forecast!

Bitcoin as become so unpreditible, i mean we could predict it will reach 30000$ and it it might reach 40000$ . Some people even said it will be 500000$ by 2020! So we'll wait and see!  ;D

well, this is an hard prediction to make because if we check the 2017 trend, especially last couple of weeks/months, price skyrocketed to the moon but i don't think it will be the same this year.
My prediction is around 30/35k by the end of 2018!

If the bitcoin grows in 2018 as fast as it grew in 2017 then it could reach more than 150k$ at the end of the year.
But for now bitcoin is slowed by congested network and high tx fees. Price will raise significantly once those problems are settled and once bitcoin is able to be used by many more people worldwide.

I think this is an interesting question when the currency quickly developed into many people don't think so, he gave many surprise because in the eyes of many people, is a kind of impossible but it did I think in the New Year of bitcoins will develop better, it's only a matter of time

I agree with you.If the price of bitcoin is raise as like in last year we hope to see the 100-150k$.If the price of bitcoin is raised,the transcation fees of bitcoin will reduce.Many people adapt with bitcoin now.So every one will get happy ,if the price of bitcoin will reach that much.I was holding nearly 0.30 bitcoin for my future.My aim is to save 1 Btc in my wallet,holding for that.

I cant predict how much will it get in the end of 2018 but one is for sure it will increase its price like in the pass year, but im hoping it will go up 50k $ is more enough for me..

A hundred thousand dollars I think if the same as last year of growth of bitcoin. This may be possible because the market are getting more and more attention to it.

As always i said, this is just prediction so not sure value of bitcoin will be in the end of the year.
I have voted that the price of bitcoin at least $30k in the end of the year. I use last move of the price in 2017.

i think it's hard to predict this now , but to the next few months i think will hit 20-30K

in the begining of 2012 the price of the bitcoin as 300 dollar but in the year of 216-17 the price of the bitcoin reached 17000 dollars so i think by the ending of the 2018 it will gaurentee that it will reach atleast 70000dollar

I think that bitcoin will reach around $40k - $50k in end of year 2018.

I see two scenarios:
first is Bitcoin price remained mainly unchanged performing slow grow = $20 000 - $ 35 000 (maybe $ 50 000),
second is the huge grow an the price around $100 000.

I think for this year it will reach to $100,000 because the graph shows an exponential function and as we see it more and more people are becoming aware of bitcoin, its features and what it can do for them.

$ 30000 will be the highest price for a bitcoin to hit in 2018. There will be price adjustments but the support price is still $ 15,000 for a bitcoin.

My guess about the prize of bitcoin in the end of the year will raise up to 300,000 to 500,000 dollars because as you can see the prize or value of bitcoin is continues to increase each week or month.  And a lot of people think that it will hit in 2018 because it's now being popular , many country are consider it's as virtual currency and a lot of people are investing and trusted in bitcoin

I was asking myself the same question and everytime i look into the graph of bitcoin's price history last year, i can't help myself from being too excited on how much it will reached this 2018. And im hoping it would reach $30k-$50k by the end of the year. Let us all be positive and continue holding on our bitcoins.

If you look at the growth charts of many currencies over the past year, you will be very surprised. Bitcoin made x14 in 2017, he can quite repeat his result for the next year.

IMHO I will extremely satisfied if the price will remain at least the same of today.

I think 30,000 - 50,000 USD. Or maybe even 20,000 - 30,000 USD. Ethereum will grow faster this year I gues then Bitcoin

Why not the price of bitcoin will increase??
If we focused upon the previous year price which was started with 800$ then ended up with 1600$ so it's obvious for us to hope that this year while starting with 1600$ it may rise up to 2500$ or may be more than that.
On the other hand bitcoin is becoming famous among the normal people. As a result the investment is increasing. So the more the investment the more the increasement in value.
In total I think that the value of bitcoin increase and if I am not wrong then this increasement will astonish us again like this year

2017 was a great year for bitcoin and almost most of them had increased just this december. A lot of forks and clogs on the server of each exchange sites. It was a year where most bitcoin millionaires appeared on tv exclaming how they got huge profit for the bitcoin. Next year can become unpredictable but i think their might be some legal suits against or with bitcoin depends on how your country sees bitcoin.

Well, I don't have too much to say about the bitcoin price prediction but I think the bitcoin price will reach up to $60k by the end of the year.

I think the value of bitcoin at the end of 2018 is 70k$ each, this was actually base on the projection by the bitcoin experts or bitcoin specialist. Because bitcoin massively get more whale investors to this business industry.

I don't know what will happen later. but I believe bitcoin will pump in mid 2018. yes the future of bitcoin is always wide open

Probably $30k-50k before the year ends,we shouldnt make any assumptions when it is too far from reality,lets set some short term goals.

Indeed. No can predict what would be the price of bitcoin but there are lot of people who says that the price of bitcoin will become totally expensive like it will reached $30000-$50000. I guess in the end of this year the price of bitcoin will have chance to reached $50000 and I hope it would happen.

Hard to say, I think the price development might slow down a bit, but BTC will not go down unless massive regulation appears.

Maybe 25-35k by the end of the year.

Bitcoin price will remain in increasing trend and hope it will cross 50000 USD in 2018 but some great surges will also comes time to time and some aftershocks so don't hesitate and hold the Bitcoin tight.

Bullish patterns as early as january makes me believe that BTC price might go to as high as $50k in year 2019.

I think bitcoin will reach $100,000 before the end of the year that is my prediction.

I think the price is going to rise relatively fast to 20000 to 30000 within the next weeks (or month). After that a lot of long time hodler will sell their BTC due to the fact that BTC became obsolete (time and transaction fees). It is possible that after a certain price level between 20k and 30k is reached a massive correction will come.
Then ether the price keeps low for a very long time (or forever) or enough investors use the low price to invest and the price will go up again.
So my prediction --> BTC <30k at the end of 2018 but it is going to be exciting

Bitcoin has risen sharply in 2017. I believe that bitcoin will increase in 2018. I hope it will increase to 25000$

I think the price is going to be relatively stable until the middle of 2018, maybe minor increases at best. After that, we might see another push similar to last year, which according to my speculation will have us end up somewhere around $25K-$30K.

I agree with you that in 2018 , that bitcoin will be stable and it will allow it to appreciate in Price and value which will cause it to rise between $15k - $50k. Bitcoin may seem unpredictable but for sure it will surely appreciate to the surprise of many people towards the middle of the year 2018.

My guess is 30-50k by the end of 2018 due to last year performance. BTC price prediction was 10k for last year and closed at 13,5K. I believe 2018 is the year of FOMO. We will see extreme cash-flow into cryptocurrencies. More big player join the ride to take blockchain industry to the next level. I have no doubt.  

Now for those claiming that bitcoin reached around 20 times its current price from start of 2017 to end of 2017 going from ~1k to 19k and expect the same to happen in 2018, there are a few things to keep in mind..
*For the price of bitcoin to increase there needs to be demand (There needs to be "New/Fresh" money coming in)
Now the growth of crypto in general in 2017 is obviously a great thing but can we expect the same amounts of fresh money to come in this year?
Also the mining difficulty is slightly increasing requiring more hash and miners don't want to mine at a loss so they do tend to pump the price of bitcoin
In my opinion I feel like 50 000 is a reasonable bet, however I would definitely do more research.

expecting bitcoin value before end of 2018 i think ranging from 40,000usd to 50,000usd or up, yes your correct mate bitcoin price in the marketcap hard to predict because suprising the price continue to increasing even if hard more and more trial came from bitcoin the year have many many fork and country want to ban the bitcoin but look at now bitcoin are very strong as digital currency so that amount are not impossible to reach.

I think bitcoin is going to reach $60,000 by the end of the year 2018. There is still high demand of bitcoin about three times over the past which I think may lead bitcoin to double it value at least three times over. 

For me bitcoin price prediction for 2018 is extremely difficult. Any entity that increases nearly 20-fold in value in less than 12 months can reasonably be described as being in a bubble. And Bitcoin could encounter several problems in the near future.

While I remain optimistic for long term, I think two consecutive years of 10x growth (that means 100x in 2 years) are extremely unlikely. And the start is certainly not positive. I can only hope that bitcoin remains above $10k and returns to ATH of $20k during 2018. Now even $30k seems to be very difficult to achieve. A solution of scaling problem in the nearest future can change a lot, but in reality it may take a lot of time.

Bitcoin are really strong over the years, and as of now bitcoin are quiet stable and I am still positive that bitcoin can go further. I see bitcoin on its high note and I think it can really hit $50k this year. Be more patient, hold more bitcoin so you can make big profit.

I was expecting that bitcoin value reach $20,000 to $50,000 before end of 2018, I think its hard for bitcoin to touch this value but I know and believe that bitcoin value have a capacity to reach that account. Because due to good fluctuation of bitcoin in the market more users are attracted to invest in this coins.

It's very difficult to predict the value of bitcoin for this year, after all 2018 has just started and we still have more than 11 months and still a long way to go for bitcoin. But maybe by the end of 2018 price value will reach $30,000 but we still don't know yet what's gonna happen. Let us just wait and see.

Yeah, it's quite hard to predict the value of bitcoin right now as we are just started with this year and still have 11 months in 2018. But in the past few years, bitcoin had emerged as the most powerful cryptocurrency making it at the top of everyone so I believe in this year it would make up to 30000$ positively and making it more prominent than ever before...

Yes, in accurate, we are having 11.5 months remaining with this year and we may experience lots of surprises in between days for sure. Definitely it is early call to go for speculating for this year end of price for bitcoins. Still anyone can answer based on what we have seen in 2017.

As per what we have experienced in 2017, I'm very much sure we may see bitcoin prices to go beyond 0.1 million levels too. Because in last year we have seen 20x growth with bitcoin and we can expect at least 5x growth in this year.

The predictions and speculations by the expert financial traders give an estimation of the prices to be near $50000 by the year end if everything goes right and price manipulation is not there so we hope for the price to cross every landmark.Hope for the best so just hodl.

It's quite high honestly. But we can't say this won't happen. Last year, I said the same thing for $10.000 target as well. Then bitcoin made $20.000 instead of $10.000 clearly.

Bitcoin valued in year end maybe it will drop to 20k cause for sure after the valued jump again to the all time high value the valued will drop like what happened before.  So much better to monitor the bitcoin time on time when it goes up or when the value rocketed again.  cause there will be a fall dip again after that.

I think we will see a price around about 40k-50k, I don't think bitcoin can experience the same growth as last year, it wouldn't surprise me if the price was even lower than the one I predicted.

Though it will be very difficult for one to actually predict bitcoin price in the future but I think we can actually speculate it range and were it will be in future. Bitcoin has been doing very well and I think by December 2018 bitcoin could be above  $60,000. What this means is that now provides the best opportunities for one to invest in bitcoin as you might have over 600% return on your investments. I think this year might be far better than last year.

Majority if the support from users show that the predicted end price for the ongoing year to be from $30000 -  $50000. Things might change and grow bigger if more adoption as well marketplace accepting cryptocurrency increase same as that took place in the last year once after the adoption from Japan.

I was kinda hoping that it will reach 50,000 USD I mean if Mark Zuckerberg the founder and CEO of Facebook invest on bitcoin which he actually say that he is looking into bitcoin if it is worth investing for, I mean that would be a huge boost for the bitcoin community because it will help some of the doubters came into their mind that bitcoin is not what they think it is.

It's too early to think about the price of bitcoin at the end of the year, I think it will be easier to guess a little where in the middle of the year

I think there is a big chance that bitcoin will reach a price of 30k to 40k, right now bitcoin is not doing well, but as soon as the lightning network activates and the people begin to see that it works then we are going to get a huge pump and new investors will come our way.

Bitcoin price cross $20,000 in end of 2017. I think bitcoin price cross $40,000 end of the year 2018.

I estimate a price between $ 15-000 - $ 30,000 dollars. I estimate that Bitcoin will enter $ 26,670 at the end of 2018. I guess my estimate is not correct. Nobody knows if I'm Shatoshi Nakamato :) :)

We need to stand by our words if you think that bitcoin can reach those high prices then today the market is giving you a great opportunity to make a lot of money, bitcoin was sub 10k a few hours ago it seems to have recovered somehow but you can buy cheap bitcoin to hold for a long time.

every people have different estimation for the price of bitcoin . From my views the price of bitcoin at the end of 2018 is approx $20000 because now a days the price of bitcoin is approx $8000 so that it  may only double from the currency price of bitcoin because the demand of the bitcoin is countinously increase by the people thats affect the price of the bitcoin . But it only estimate the price I am also not sure that the price will increase or decrease.

There's no people can predict that but your assumptions is to much since how could dollar collapse? while it was backed up by the wealthiest country and bitcoins is way to far to reach for 1m$ per piece. But as I can see every year we can see that the price of bitcoins became double and maybe we can see it more doubled by the end of year 2018 but who knows if adoption came well unto it maybe we can see a x3 breakdown on it.

Just showing strong movements as of today, seems that bitcoin will try now to have some comeback and find another level of support, I think if bitcoin can go up to 15k$ then will see more big investors back again and begin to hype, for me bitcoin can go up to 25k$ for this year or more than that, as time passed by and the market already showed bright future to those who believes then it will go up to thee level that most of us desired.

As those speculations and predictions by people and experts, they were saying that in the year 2018 we could still incur a bitcoin price crashed, but after that price would still regain and will become double, before the year end it was predicted that price will be $45-60k depending on the law of supply and demand. We have gone so far, so I am in no doubt that it can really happen.

Very hard to predict how things will turn in the crypto universe. I expect bitcoin to take off if it can do something to speed up the transactions at reduced cost. This can increase the adoption and give a nice price boost. Any gains without these improvements may not be sustainable and may bring the price crashing down.

There is no doubt about than but there bottom line will be if bitcoin can repeat the same crazy achievement which it did last year which is surging it's value to an unimaginable level or this year will be more of fluctuations ? I believe 39k will be the decent mark if we can reach that by the end of 2018 without any further dumps.

What kind of analysis? What kind of research? What is the value of bitcoin today and why is the price so huge today? Any coin is assigned to a certain type of service or product, but Bitcoin does not have anything. What then are its values?

How you say bitcoin does not have anything ? Bitcoin has big technology backing up and all new concepts for entire human race. The services and products are yet to be tied up with bitcoins as so far value and popularity are just the reward for the innovation of such a all new momentary system.

Gold is basically a metal and similarly diamonds are old stones. Still we are ready to pay for them given that we can sell for some value in future. Does gold and diamond has been assigned to any product or services ? If so, why not bitcoin may replace or join with them. ?

At bottom line, back to topic that I am expect bitcoin prices to test $100k to $250k price levels by end of this year and we can expect one million dollar levels by end of 2019.

I would say we are looking at $50000 - $100000.

I predict it will reach 50,000-60,000 easily but when will happen? if bitcoin will release Lightning network the transaction will get speed and the transaction will minimize as well. i think bitcoin price will continue to soar high but i don't know what will happen at the end of this year.

Nothing seemed to be impossible as all have seen drastic rise, but as per current scenario and recent events of restriction, I doubt the huge rise as everybody mentioned here. I believe 40000-70000 would be still possible with the restrictions.

Today price of the bitcoin is down and now is 11,350 dollars and we don't know if it's decrease more or it will increase again.  But I hope it will recover again from dumping.  For me the possible price of the bitcoin become 30-50k dollars before end of this year 2018 . I bekive in that amount why? Because last month december 2017 price of the bitcoin increased at 20k dollars so for sure it will increase again that price in the next few weeks or months of waiting so possible price of the bitcoin more than that amount so that's why I choose 30-50k dollars each bitcoin.  That's only prediction or possible to happen that's not really happen 100percent because they have possibility the price will decrease.

I'm guessing $50k to $100k. Because of its fluctuating price, it is really hard to predict. But I'm very positive that it will rise again. Hopefully, it will reach last years mark or at least doubled.
