Sia coin has achieved a significant pump in the last few weeks.... what will happen at the end of 2018.... will it be the next bitcoin ?

Based on the current price, market cap, # of coins and what I know about the project, my guess is Siacoin will be valued at around $1.00 by this time next year. But I'm way more bullish on Filecoin than Siacoin because of the tie-in with IPFS!

As for me SIACOIN have no change to return in TOP 10. Look at top 10 monsters now. But I agree price can grow to the moon in 2018. But also like another altcoins.

Sia was very well known a few months ago, however the newer coins have ruined it all for Sia. It has not gone up at all considering where rest of the alts are.

This project is really excellent and the team works further. The price of the coin will grow unequivocally (especially at the end of January, a hard fork), but to the cost of bitcoin it is still very far away and I doubt that it will approach it.

Siacoin is an example of usful implementation of blockchain beyond simply for trading.  if the value of cryptocurrency collapsed, Siacoin would be one of those to emerge intact as it has a purpose.  Lets not get silly and compare to Bitcoin, its probably got more longer term application but not likely to be worth so much ever.

This is the link relevant for hardfork. But it has been said that its only improvement of the block time and bug fixing not a special hardfork.

sia coin has a very good prospect for the future. majorly hodl of this coin will give testament to that in about 8-12 months from now.

I feel like siacoin will increase(x3 to x4) by the end of this year primarily due to the bitcoin and altcoin rallies which most likely will happen later this year. The development team seem to update this coin regularly and the community support for this coin is strong at the moment which is why I feel that this coin has good prospects in the future. I would not invest huge amounts into this coin at the moment and I would suggest investing small amounts just to be on the safe side. Don't see it going over x4 by the end of this year unless they come out with a game-changing announcement.

I love SiaCoin but although it drops badly together with Bitcoin and most Altcoins I predict it will go as high as $6 to $8 by end of the year due to it's massive maximum coin circulation.
I have a couple of thousand SiaCoins but I prefer investing into low circulation coins than billions of max coins.

To predict the price one can successfully use marketcap as a good indicator. Considering the huge supply sia has got, 1USD is a far fetched goal.

Comparing SIA with Bitcoin is way off. Don't get me wrong, SIA is a great project, but has nothing to do with Bitcoin, has merits on its own. Plus any price prediction in a market as volatile as crypto, is just a guess without any fundament.

Sia is definitively the best storage coin with no competition.period.

As a long-term investor I have been buying since the price was 0,01$ and I keep investing at 0,05$.It's the only coin that I won't sell under 1$ because unlike many other they have a working product that IS already revolutionising online storage and the developers are visionaries that care more about tech and longterm health rather than retiring on an island.

A year ago, while siacoin was sub .01 cents, I discovered siacoin and was immediately fascinated by it.

Siacoin is legit. It is as good as any project in the crypto-space right now. It's one of the few crypto projects with an actual working product. The lead developer is a smart man with a long-term perspective. He is not in it to make siacoin pump and dump. Hes in it to build a sustainable ecosystem where decentralized storage competes with huge cloud storage companies. How do we know this? Because him and his team are hodlers of "SiaFunds". Siafunds are tokens that give approximately 3.9% of each transaction on the sia blockchain to siafund hodlers (paid out in siacoin). Therefore, him and his team are financially incentivized to grow the project as much as possible - unlike other alts where the only incentive is to increase the price of the coin ( This model gives developers no financial incentive to constantly continue development. SiaCoin is a good coin as it placed as one of the top strongest Cryptocurrency in the market.
They have common project with Oyster Pearl but the only difference is their coin price due to SiaCoin's massive Billion SiaCoin that limits its progress to increase the price.
Oyster Pearl PRL has $1.70 as of this writing and I bought PRL coins last 2 months ago for $0.0005 each.
I think SiaCoin will hit $2 to $3 by the end of the year.

We both have the same appreciation with SiaCoin but due to its massive circulating coin supply that is billions, it limits to increase the price because although many investors are buying it but the bid is to little.
Unlike with other low supply coins that are about only millions they have good price and values.

acording to marketcap.com the circulating supply of sia are 31,396,146,174 SC or 31 bililion sc. Sia need to get 31B USD of market cap to get $1.  for me  31 billion at the end of 2018 is reasonable forecast.

It's simple, the last month of the Sia coin has been growing in price, as have other altcoins. The last 2 days of Sia has grown in price, because Bitmain created an asic miner for Sia, that's all. Of course, this is a good asset, I have it.

But just like what you have said, SiaCoin is a very goof project, indeed. and the developers and the team, too, are well-trusted and doing everything with accordance to their roadmap and plans. I have actually been wanting to invest on SiaCoin but I can't seem to find any good place to buy them since bittrex is no longer accepting new members as of the moment.

Read their white paper. It has very simple and practical goal about storage by using cryptocurrency.

Most likely the price of Siacoin will go to its stable value about 0.006 - 0.007$.
This value was stable for a long period in last year before sharp growth.

SiaCoin is one of the top billion coin supply but I don't think it could hit $1 by the end of the year because their crypto project isn't that impressive.
Unlike Oyster, 1 PRL = at least 64GB per year with free access and download of the files that you stored online.
I could predict SiaCoin to hit $1 but in the next 2 years or in 2020 but I really don't think it will bump a buck this year.

with it's crypto technology offering isn't that good enough because this time every altcoin will be based on the effectiveness and the demand of their crypto product.
SiaCoin had many competitors today, like Storj and Oyster as few to mention and that's why I invested more on Oyster Pearl over SiaCoin because Oyster has only less than hundred million supply so it's price value will increase rapidly.

The project looks decent. The coin have a big potential value. The pro is that the project looks decent. The con is that the mining and difficulty increase exponentially. However, if the projuct is good, it should be able to sustain in the crypto market with good value.
