The only late time is later. If you are getting in now you are still in the 1% of the population who own ETH. You might be reading many posts lately about new millionaires being made and feel sad/disappointed that you "missed out". Just remember crypto is in its infancies. Could better gains have been made investing early? Sure. But hindsight is 20/20 and you're in now. This might be the only time in our lives we will see returns like this... even if youre buying now for the first time. Just be glad!

I do think that the timing of the current entry is just right, this year investment in cryptographic money obviously can be rich, is still a great bull market.

The more you wait the bigger the market gets and the more chances of making money you lose. There is no right time, the best time is NOW.

I think the rich have made it impossible for the ordinary people to get "rich", so the only possibility of getting rich, or at least earning enough for a relaxed life, is through these kinds of investments. We just have to have a little trust and be smart. 

TL;DR: OP is holding ETH and hopes mistakes he has made with not investing in BTC is not repeated now.

most of the ETH investors are like this these days which is the scary part of it and it is the exact reason why i never get involved with it in long term. i have never had more than a couple of days of investment in ETH.

i always imagine how in a year from now a lot of bugs have surfaced from ethereum and how many millions of dollars have been lost because of it.
i imagine how other platforms which are quite better than it are going to grow bigger and take the market out of the hands of this centralized pump coin.
and finally how side chains on top of bitcoin such as RSK are going to put an end to the ICO hype that has been pumping ETH so far.

This would be the perfect time to get involved with bitcoin. Its not yet too late to have the opportunity to earn big and learn a lot of things on how to earn bigger. We should be prepared once we started to get involved with bitcoin. Since we should invest our full time to it in order to be strategic and smart enough to learn.

You are right. We are still in the early days. 10 years from now, the people who invested today will be see as early adopters.   
Bitcoin is in my opinion still a good investment, and I think every portfolio should contain a percentage of Bitcoin.
Biggest gains however are possible with the low market cap coins. but be aware of the risk and the possibility to loose your investment.

I have big expectations for ETH, Bitcoin is under a lot of scrutiny at the moment but continues to rise regardless - let's see what happens.

The best statement to invest in Crypto would be " Now or Never " :P ;D . The later we think of investing the more chances of making profits we loose. Crypto currencies are more volatile than any other assets in the world. There are equal risks of loosing the money invested in it but the gains are too much and it overcomes the chances of loosing the money. Cryptos have gained more popularity these days and many big whales have entered the market making it bullish overall.

Accumulating ETH now and holding BTC.  I think ETH has a lot of potential, it has reached over $1k now so maybe 2018 will be very good year for ETH.  Just like 2017 for BTC.

You are right and the crypto market is a new market and many opportunities still available.
Wasting your time feeling sorry on lost opportunities will make you lose even more.
Remember that it is always better later than never, you will need a bigger capital to start but you will make a good profit.

Totally agree. I started looking at BTC when it touched 2K last year. Thought it was big jump and will come down. Never realized how much time I was wasting till BTC touched 10 K.

But as most said, I am happy that I got in at least now.

I like the main idea of the author  : it's never too late.  There are a lot of topics here about "I'm so disappointed in myself" or "why the hell I sold this coin". I think  people need some encouragement after they lose:)

That is why i am never going to dump all my erc20 tokens, i have a plenty wallet of them, and a lot of them have already increased by more than x10, and some by more than that.

Guys, just do not lose your hope, you all know that this is just starting, and you need to make as much money as you can before it is too late.

Just to be reading this gets you ahead of a lot of people that dont eve know crypto exist, lots of people lament over 500% profits because if they have waited even more they could have gotten 600%, but even if its 50-100% even 20% gains enjoy them, 20%-30% let alone 100% gains in a couple of days is unheard in stocks, or any other form of investment.

Might be too late to get into Ripple though.   ;)

Glad to see it but i'm including in those still hold over 1 thousand ethereum right now. But remember we will be facing casper network update in this year, before that will be implemented and we are not very late to buy ethereum because we can staking it in the future. What a good sign to buy ethereum this time.

Most people I know don't believe in crypto and say it's a scam, I bought my few fractions of bitcoin few months ago and just got into alts few weeks ago. Let's see what the future has for us :)

Yeah its a bull market, but some coins look very overpriced.
i had some coins bought for 50 or 80 usd (don't remember exactly) in summer. 2 weeks ago remembered about my small experiment. Now these coins worth 1500 usd. For me secondary crypto market is in a bubble, thus i started to keep tracking icos. i follow only good icos (in which i beleive and support).

To late comers, all you have to do is jump right in, do some sight seeing, and get those profits! Remember, any profit, even how little is still profit. Don't be too greedy...

Probably were not too late to get involved in investment in crypto currency, if you want to be rich someday right now is your chance to make an investment after 5 years you will notice that your very rich people.

This is the right way of thinking, if you think you are late you are not as we know bitcoin and crypto has hardly touched the surface when it comes to awareness, although the end of last year it seems that awareness is growing at a rapid rate so although now might not be too late certainly in 2019 it might be late and even then it still might not be too late.

Well not just begin but I don't think we are past 25% done and in the grand scheme of things this is still quite early in the adoption phase leaning towards mainstream currently. To those who think they are getting in late that is what most people thought in August at 4-5k bitcoin. The same thing will be said early next year and that process will repeat itself until it eventually is too late.

For sure it's not late to enter the cryptocurrencies market. ETH is a good example which people can invest in.
Even if Bitcoin price does not rise any more. There are many other altcoins that will rise very much. New coins and tokens can be also good investments. So It's not late and every one can enter this market at any time.

It is never too late to start the successful trades and to invest into favorable coin you are attracted too. Crypto market is getting bigger each day. Many new investors are being attracted to the specific coin they hope will get them the nice amount of the money when the time passes. There are many fluctuations and that is the opportunity for good traders to gain the desired amount of money in a short time. People before a couple of years also thought they were late for the part of the "cake". Every moment is the right one it just takes the will to consider joining the crypto world and to start investing and accumulating your financial stability for the future.

People shouldn't really think they are getting in late since everyone is actually getting in quite soon. I wont talk about profits, but even in that territory you are still getting a good price for all the potencial in crypto. I will actually talk about the current crypto problems. It doesn't scale well, it's slow compared to other payments methods, like visa and paypal, it's fees are quite high and regulators still don't really know what to do with it.
Given all this, it's fair obvious that crypto is stil in "beta" phase, and it has a long road ahead. So yes, if crypto is going to succeed, everyone that enters now, even with all these problems, is still getting into it quite soon. I believe in crypto and in it's potencial so I will buy this "beta" product every time I can. I will do it with caution of course, but I will still do it.

There is nothing be in late in altcoins investment. Coins keep going up each and every day so I believe to buy now or never. If you are even late, by few days to months, you will also be in the 1% of people making profit on crypto currencies.

Is never too late, is too late to be a millionaire already but if you choose wisely a good ICO you can be soon.
Bitcoin, Ethereum and all these are already overpriced and they can double their price easy.
What you can do is to join an ICO in PRE ICO Whitelist state, PRE ICO ! You get it very cheap and you can sell it if you want when it enters a platform or hold it for longer.
Personally I joined DIWtoken whitelist and I will hold it, this ICO will make me a fortune

I agree with you people who thinks i haven't invested in it at initial stage so i will get less profit to once who invested and early but the answer is their in your own question,atleast you will get some profit.Rather than thinking of others and getting jealous think of your own.If you will think positive,your results would be positive and if you think negative your results will be negative.Take pride on what you do and back your self,there is always a right time to succeed.

If things are another development, there may be a lot of people regretting why they should not sell the coins.

I couldnt disagree to what you have said,cryptocurrencies are still a baby to most of the people in the world,actually 1% is too big if you are talking about people who has knowledge about crypto over 7billion people around the world,its never too late for us because we are still in developing era of cryptocurrencies,investing now is never too late but investing 10years from now wont give you much gains as what are gaining today.

This is like a premonition from the past year when bitcoin dominate the crypto world. this is why you do what you did not do from the past year. do not do the same mistake again.

Its better late than never... Everybody has a fair chance in altcoins even your late. Just believe in what your doing, be passionate, and enjoy what are you doing and success will be assured to you.

No one will be late with crypto, just invest smart and you will have good result back. I think this is good time to move some fund to crypto and wait for the market to recover and grow in 2018.

I just missed out buying ETH when it was less than $800 two nights ago and I feel bad for it. In crypto, if you feel like going in you need to trust your instinct and don't wait for a dip if its already dipping because you'll never know the next dip you expect would be the time that the coin's value is going up so you'll definitely lose the chance. If you are a holder, I think buying even at ATH would not really matter.

I agree with the opinion of many. Bitcoin and its entire ecosystem (coins and tokens) are in an early stage and now it will be very stormy. Regulators will put pressure on market manipulators and will try to avoid the truth of bitcoin, its decentralization. Many coins are now under the control of several people, and this is not correct. Even bitcoin with its full decentralization can be raised up or down by a few dozen people who have large reserves of it. I think 2018-2019 will be crucial for this whole world. If you want to invest, it's not too late, it will still grow and fall down))

I had this discussion with a friend earlier tonight.  He said its too risky there is not enough regulation, too volatile.  I told him to take a look around put a few hundred dollars in and see what happens to start.  I told him to think of it as diversifying his portfolio into a fourth ream so he would have stocks, bonds, cash and crypto.  Crypto could be looked at currently like a high risk or high growth mutual fund that he would add to his 401 or IRA.

The best time to invest was a few years ago.  But there will not be a better time than now.

Agree, cryptocurrencies have gained a big first stage movement at the late of 2017 and its gain a popularity attention, I'm sure many cryptocurrencies is the same. I believe it will be interesting to watch how the market dance after it started the first movement. Neither I think the price is still pretty cheap.

I member buying NEM top 2 years ago, that's like 100sats and sell it for losses. Now the price like 9k sats.

Nobody is late. And I also believe that Ethereum will grow a LOT by 2019. I am not yet sure it can reach 5 thousand dollars as you say, but I am sure it will cost much more than now. The same thing will happen to Ripple and DASH, NEO and Cardano ( I mean they will grow more and sufficiently).

I think that nobody knows that he will be for 100% tomorrow therefore to say that now too late it is wrong. I consider that not late. It is very easy to speak about the past knowing result. Very few people could assume that coins will have such indicators 5 years ago, is true?

To all those just getting in now, I would say, "You are not late!" Yes, it is true that there are already millionaires because of bitcoins and altcoins because they started way ahead but think of them as just being there at the right time and right place.  They also made it happen for them.  Similarly, you can make it happen for yourself too!  You just have to do a lot of research on how the market behaves and also get smart opinion and feedback on projects to invest in.  Join signature and bounty campaigns, promote via all known forms of social media, and earn coins.  Simultaneously, trade and invest as these are means to earn more ata faster rate, although more risky of course!  Whatever way, you will have to make it happen for yourself.  If you have the means, go and trade as much as you can so that the return may also be as much but again, be very careful and practice sound judgment all the time!

If you are late, watch carefully before getting inside crypto. It is very risky now as some coins did increase too much. You can be late on some coins but on new ICO you are not late.

I really don't know how to pick a good ICO. Many times is just a lot of marketing to sell nothing...

Look at projects who are realistic. And also look at what they are going to do and if you think that it can work or not. If you see that there is a lot of comments/questions/answers in the announcement thread of this project, it may be good to invest.
Also read carefully the whitepaper and look at the team members and advisors. If you think they have the good ressources to finish the project it can be ok.
Also look at the partners of the company. If they have big and well known partners it is also a good sign.
Sometimes a project can take a long time to take off. You need to be patient on investing in thoses projects, but they may be successful it you took the good one.
Sometimes, the team members are anonymous. It does not mean that it is a bad project, but it is more risky.
In some ICO if you have the coins, you can receive dividends if the company made profits.
You can also watch the invested amount currently on a not finished ICO on their website. If they already received a lot of funds, it may means that it could be a good investment. As there is a lot of investors in the ICO. But you may not have a big bonus compare to the first investors as they took more risk.
It takes time to choose an ICO, but it is worth to do it.

I don't think all populations are able to or need to buy these coins. It is very hard for even all of us to keep our coins safe. I think those getting them now may be not late but not early as well.

For me its better late than never,because everythings have a chances,to become rich or the next millionare if your lucky in your life and you can find a good investment trading or maybe you join the Good ICO project  that can make your life being fortunate in one single whip of cryptocurrency.for me all have a chances  in digital currency either you are newbie or not in this kind of bussiness as long you have  a perseverance to overcome your future dreams.

I'm holding Ethereum but my intention is I'm saving it as my stash so that I can buy or invest my favorite coins when they drop.
Owning Ethereum coins is a blessing that not everyone is lucky having it.
I'm using Etherdelta so I need standby Ethereum to gas up my transactions on trading and withdrawals.

Yeah you need to stay calm than to do a panic selling, sell your coin in low price make you lose your money so you need to stay calm and wait for the high price again to get profit.

Its better late than never. I'm also later comer in cryptocurrencies but from the start I taken it seriously I have found that crypts are the future currencies. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple are good crypts that have certain uses on our daily lives. But We also need to be careful in investing even the good crypts can give you headache. You still need to study your investment.

I would not rush myself in these types of investments. I would rather do my best in accumulating as many alt coins as possible in ICOs. These investments requires a lot of capital and patience which I do not have yet as for this moment.

I sold 13 BTC in 2013 for a profit. I sold 2.4MM doge in 2016 for a profit. Do I wish I had them both now.. yeah, it would pay for a house, but I have kept reinvesting in other coins and mining gear and it keeps going up, we are in the mid gold rush phase, there is still a lot of money to be made. When grandma can balance her  401k in crypto from her iphone then all the good money to have been made will be over and we will have a NASDAQ scenario...but thats still a ways off. Get in now, risk what you can afford, and whatever you do...dont panic.

Im thinking 5 Trillion total market cap by 2019 so if your guessing ETH to 5k....we are both on the same page.

As for ICO's they are a crap shoot. I'm all in on EOS right now so when that ICO finishes in June we will see if Larimer delivers...but to take a year raise over a billion dollars and already have 2 establised coins plus have your new place holder coin the the top 10-15 market cap for the past 6 months while still in ICO is new territory for sure. Ive done well with some ICOs, Ive barely broken even on others, and Ive lost on things that looked stellar (like Ziber) and never transpired. So ICOs can be good or can be junk and its hard to weed them out. A great webpage and whitepaper can fool a lot of people. Do your due dilligence and even then, be ready to roll the dice.

With the market so low right now...its a great time to get in. It looks like the sky is falling, but thats normal in this world, buy some pepto, and buy as much as you can afford.

Yes , everyone in the world wants to earn without limitations and if you are a late investors don't worry about it how much ivest in it will return back double with good earnings in each and every month . Since the price of most of the coin is low now in comparison to earlier, so it is the right time to invest to earn huge profit in crypto but before investing you should be careful and learn about project. Crpytocurreny is a future currency and the best place to double your capital fast.

This is the best time to buy bitcoin and also to buy altcoins. Bitcoin price is decreased almost 50 percent from all time high and these prices seem good entry point. For altcoins, they have some more way to go indeed.
