Hello Everyone,
I  feel so happy when ethereum price pump! I have some eth,  I don't know is this the right time to sell? or need I hold for more time?

Please suggest me. Thank You everyone

if you need money (urgent) maybe you can sell it, if not.... HODL it.

Depends on what are your future plans . If you plan to make a further crypto investments and work on perspective , you can sell eth and buy good alts for hodl . But if you need fiat money you can wait before eth pump ends and sell it for fiat .

No one for sure when to know what the top price not just of Ethereum but just like other coins. The best thing to do is to look and read news about Ethereum. Bitcoin is going down, and for sure those who are dumping it and moving to Ethereum. That's a good sign for me. However, when you see that there's a lot of FUD surrounding Ethereum, better be prepared to sell it because FUD scares people away.

I still have some Ethereum as well and I was quite surprise that I have like gain 1/3 of my initial invesments. And there another wallet that I have that have dust amounts, like .08 ETH that has gain value overtime as well.

But I would advise to just really hold on it long term. Ethereum is shaping to be the best coins for me so far, not unless bitcoin solves its scalability issues, Ethereum will always a good coin to invest long term.

I would sell ethereum at about 1490$ as i dont see it going over 1,5k and there will be a pullback after it probably and then buy it back at lower prices and have more of eth.Or you can just hodl it for longer period of time because eth will worth way more when it moves to pos stage,if you belive in the project long term

It depends on you. But I'll advice you to hold it first because ETH has future and will continue to increase as time passes by.

invest it on the worthy ico, u can gain more eth by doing that. but be prepared to research the hell out of the ico you are joining, to avoid scam ico that will run your eth.

If I were you I should hold because Ethereum promised it will pump more and might surpass Bitcoin's market capital if Bitcoin will continue to dip everyday.
There's a lot of reasons why Bitcoin is dropping but this year isn't for Bitcoin alone but it's Ethereum's.

I agree, holding your Ethereum is a good option but if you're going to invest it into good coins then it's better because some coins are now spiking up and most top Altcoins are in the good position and earned a lot of investments from young investors.

better to hold it tight. I feel eth will hit 1.5k usd before end of the month of January.

Don't sell or you will regret. ETH is one of my favority coin.

I think best option is to hold. For sure you will see a great profit in ETH till the end of 2018. I don't have much ETH now, planning to buy on correction.

I think ETH deserve its current price consider it's usability but these days are just plain pumps over maybe 1.5k but soon price correction would come like just how BCC, BTC, XRP suffer. Hold tight and be speculative and you should able to profit regardless

As for me, this depends on you who is the holder. If you have somethings to deal with, then you can sell, but if you don't, holding is the best thing to do as the price will continue to rise.

Eth is a good option to hold  . But altcoins can be much more profitable and of course , much more risky . So , it's only your decision sell / hold / or re-invest it .

First it will depend on your strategy, at what value you invested, of the amount you have, for example if you invested when you were $ 400, Why wait?
your goal is greater than 3x of valorization? now if you bought in high is risky to hold, a point we can take into consideration is that Ethereum is among the most unstable currencies on the market.

It's gonna be a best time to sell, not exactly that you should sell all of your holdings maybe you just keep 50% of it if you expecting high price to come. But I believe this incredible increase of eth will not go for long and just like bitcoin it will fall back someday. That's why we should consider this time to sell some of it.

the right time to sell is during pumps like the one we're seeing right now, but sometimes it depends on your goal. Why did you get ETH? was it to gain some profits in the long-term? if so then I'd tell you to sell right now.

To be honest, we don't how long this pump is gonna last, we could see a pullback at any time, so choose carefully what you want to do.

I think you should not sell now if you have a long term view in your investment but selling now and take little profit as soon as possible is not still bad. As an investors you should know the right time to sell especially when you buy at the lowest price. I seriously believe 2018 is a year of booming in the price of cryptocurrencies and this booming is going to affect almost all the coins and not just ethereum!

No for sure. Weak hands will sell it, ethereum is just being pumped to the prices that it deserves. Hold it stronger than any other coin you hold.

I think after this much price rise there are high chances of a correction but personally im still bullish on eth and i think this year will belong to eth.

well for me i dont trade coins i just hold unless I have to liquidate to fiat
but otherwise i dont sell high buy low because i would never be sure when
to actually do that and never had the time to really study the markets.

I have learned from past experiences selling when I think the price is high

It depend on your investment strategy. If you are holding ETH for the long term, then there is no point in selling now.

I think it will go up even higher in the near future.

I think as well as some already wrote here, the etherium will reach $ 1500 and then the correction will be washed, personally I'm going to sell some of my etherium

I guess you do not need to panic first, look at the current rate, it would be very profitable, but soon there will be hardfork and many who predict will reach $ 2,000 per eth

ETH is quite a safe bet, and likely good to hold for a few years. It is very likely to increase substantially over the long-term. Of course some small cap coins will increase much more, but that comes with added risk.

I think you must sell step by step. And Ethereum can touch new "all-time high" price. So You can sell if the price gives you good profit.

ETH will be one of the most worthy altcoins, I have some ETH and I sell it at 0.09 BTC today, but the rest I'll hold it for maybe the next 1 or 2 months, because the ETH charts continue to show positive

Ethereum is the right time to hold. I am also hold this coin. Because it was constant growth in market. It have more potential to any other altcoins. You should wait for one more month to sell. In current scenario is huge pump in market. In future also it will increasing the value. I suggest to hold for hold long-term investment. It will help for your future need.

Hold on tight if you are a long term investor(Like me). I bought mine in the summer(June) in full FOMO fever and it turend out to be a good bet. I only regret I didn't buy more when it dropped to 160$. In conclusion, always be rational and evaluate your own risk/benefit ratio.

Better hold it because I think ethereum will undergo fork. So there is a possibility for it to grow before and after the fork. Better hold it because it has a potential to skyrocket this month.

I don't understand why people always wonder about selling their coins. Every coin goes up unless it's a really shitty one.

It is encredible, first Ripple and now Eth, the price is just pumped by all the noobs entering the market. Look at the mainstream finanscial news, when they talk crypto Alts its Ripple and Eth. It will fall again like Ripple.

Ethereum is a very good protect because it has smart contract. i thinkthe ether can go through bitcoin in the future. in this reason i think you should holddd.

eth value will continue to grow in this year, you need not be afraid to keep it. I personally still hold some eth in the wallet and in exchange. yes i guess the eth value will continue to be pumped

I think this will be a great year for Ethereum, so I'm holding. But it's really up to you. If you are happy with your gains and life like moving into something new that's ok as well.

You need to predict where the mob is heading. So far Bitcoin->Ripple->Ethereum. What's next? I think BCH is next simply because it's cheap and fast to move funds around. So far it's trending that way.

Etheruem is the best crypto currency after bitcoin and has quite a demand in market so i would recommend to hild them as this year i do think that etheruem will pump just like bitcoins did in 2017.Etheruem is great for long term investment so just hold them and don't panic sell if there is drop.

Safe bet is to sell for BTC right now.

Just hodl it if you dont need fiat desperately,  2018 will be the year of crypto and i am sure ETH will rise in value even more by the end of the year. It also depends how much you have in ETH, you might withdraw a part of your tokens just to feel more calm.

I would hold if I were you. I panic sold my ethereum when the price was a on a lower side and it's price was decreasing further, just don't do what I did! If I would have held my ethereum till now it would have been doubled, but sadly I panic sold it and now I am realising that I did a huge mistake by doing it. Just don't try to cash out your ethereum now as it is a pretty good altcoin and I think it is going to reach even greater heights. So, keep holding.

Holding is the best option but currently buy few Bitcoins with that and then when Bitcoin rises back up again like reaches 16k or something which will happen like in a day or so then buy ETH with the same amount. This way you can just make few profits

Put your money in good ICO and you will earn ether very easily. Good ICO will give you at least four times of what you put in and if you can even wait up to 6 to 7 months, you might end up with 10 times increase.

I think eth is still undervalued most of the tokens in the market are based on eth not BTC. Eth deserve to have a market cap near the BTC         

I still believe in the potential ethereum, so I'm not afraid to hold for a few more weeks. I think ethereum will still be growing ::)

Well its hard to decide when you should sell or hold,but first you should look at your situation,if you in urgent need of money,you should sell it without having a regret later and if don't,hold it for like 1 year.There's a big chance that in the future crypto will dominate the online payment,so you should hold it and hope for the future profit.In trading,no one can be sure if some coin will dominate the market or not,so it's depend on you really.

Some coins have now fallen in price due to price adjustments. Well, because of bitcoin's price drop, too. However, Ethereum shows not only price growth, but also stability. Stability in my opinion is even better than constant growth. I would not be selling Ethereum now, as it will grow more.

I prefer holding. Ethereum got really popular this days because of the altcoins that are going out.
It is seen more as one of the biggest invested crypto currency because of them.
It is not just Ethereum that should be hodl but more of those who are on top. This is not over yet and it could grow more.

I don't think it will go much higher, there is goana be a sharp price decrease very soon.

It depends on you. If you feel that ETH is crashing then sell and if you seeing ETH is going to the moon then hold it and buy ethereum but if i were you, just hold your ethereum instead just like your have done to bitcoin since Ethereum is offering you a stability of price due to its infinite supply of coins and it will not fluctuate bad as bitcoin's volatility so, you will easily know the price of ether will crash or other way around

I just hold for the current eth, not for trading because I think the eth will continue to grow slowly with time to time. so I guess it's best to hold on as much as you can.

Since the author make this thread yesterday, the best bet was to sell! But it was in a court term vision, actually bet on eth is a good move for the next 6 month if you don't need this money now. Hold tight your eth dude.  ;)

All depends on your target profit and at the rate you bought your ethereum as to whether you have made profit or not. Although in as much as am concern i will still continue to hold me ethereum despite the fact that i have made significant profit from my investment in ethereum i still have a strong believe ethereum will continue to increase in value. 

The decision is yours, but if I was you, I would hold on tight, because I expect Ethereum to grow a lot more throughout 2018. I wouldnt be surprised if we hit around $1500 by the end of this month and prices like $2500+ by the end of the year. But nobody can tell, thats just my gut feelings.

Continued holding may be due to the right choice, because the ICO market is still very hot, so all the ICO projects are expected to be raised through ETH, which will lead to the rise of ETH price.

Ethereum has the potential to rise up and grow more. So holding it tighter and for long will be advisable. Due to the increase in the (time taking) transaction fee of bitcoin, Ethereum comes in the picture, with very low transaction fees and instant transfers. So it's demand will be increasing in the coming days if nothing is done about bitcoins transaction. And thereby increasing it's price which will ultimately make you more profit.
