Feature Overview
The following is some general information on the features we are building into AO Blockchain over the coming year.

Business Features

• Asset Tracking
  Track all company and personal assets, including who has them, what their current value is, and what their current depreciation is.
  
• Inventory
  Track current inventory status, update distributors and suppliers with current inventory updates, and assign inventory to smart contracts
  
• Accounting
  Pull all standard asset, transaction, and valuation reports for accounting and regulatory needs. When combined with the Investment features, provide automated updates to Shareholders, including stock valuations and yearly performance.
  
• Smart Contracts
  Simple to use, automatically fulfilling Smart Contracts. Pay Contractors, order supplies, update inventory, and connect to your Customer Management, and Enterprise Resource Planning systems to keep your entire transaction, and financial activities in one place.
  

Banking Features

• Multi-Currency
  The AO Blockchain supports multiple currencies, starting initially with support for BTC, ETH, BCH, and LTC. Fiat currencies will be added over the year following the production release of the AOBlockchain.
  
• Bill Pay
  Built-In Bill pay will be one of the first applications to tie into the AO Blockchain, allowing you to pay your bills in any currency supported by AO Blockchain. Provide the address, and the amount, and your bills will be paid from your wallet funds, based on your currency priorities.
  
• Fiat Exchange
  After initial launch of the AO Blockchain, support for exchanging Cryptocurrencies and Crypto-tokens will be added through the use of a Banking Gateway, provided by either AO Cyber Systems, or a partner.
  
• Multiple Accounts / Sub-Accounts
  Own a business, or have a family, tied to your identity on the AO Blockchain system can be multiple accounts, including sub accounts, to give you an accurate picture of how all of your holdings are doing, and where your family's future is headed.
  

Investment Features

• Full Featured, Decentalized Exchange
  Stop trusting centralized exchanges to manage your funds. Through a combination of Smart Contracts, currency gateways, and direct connections to other blockchains, you can trade any currency, for any other currency supported by the system.
  
• Investment Contracts
  Want to offer shares of your company, or an asset you hold, with some kind of dividend or benefit? Create an Investment contract. Investment contracts are the investment variations of a Smart Contract, geared to the types of deals that investors would make.
  
• IPO / ICO platform
  Full, decentralized IPO and ICO platform. Don't spend the hundreds of thousands of dollars to raise capital from the public. With built in compliance features, and connections to Investment and Smart contracts, you can raise capital for your company, blockchain project, or fundraiser, easily and safely.
  
• Peer-to-Peer Loans
  Give your friends, family, and business partners loans to help them out, under whatever terms you want, without having to pay a third party part of your percentage. Just the cost of the transaction fees.

Pre-Sale starts tomorrow!

We put the finishing touches on the Pre-Sale site today, getting the buyer profiles all linked up to our BTC, ETH, BCH, and LTC accounts so addresses can be auto-generated for each buyer. We also started working on a more concise way to get our feature set across to those interested, both as buyers, and as users.

Today's Update - EdenJS

As part of our goals to reach businesses, we are building a framework for web applications that integrates directly into the AOBlockchain project. Initially, it will be used to build the blockchain itself, and provide an interface for monitoring the blockchain's document collections, as well as test adding individual transactions. It will also be the basis to build private variations of AOBlockchain for internal use at larger who may not want to use our public, permissioned version.

This particular part of our project is based on KeystoneJS, a web application framework that auto-generates a CRUD interface based around MongoDB models. We are busy bringing our fork of the project up to our security and coding standards. We will release EdenJS's initial version in the next couple of days.

It looks like this is a big project, but I see this team has only 2 members. can you support the project very well?

Thank you for the question Lanmao. The short answer is: Yes, we can support this project well. We are starting small, and building in the open so that people can see what we are doing. While the project is big, we are automating as much as we can, with a significant emphasis on automated testing, and auto DevOps, which will help us significantly with maintenance. Development is easily done with a small team, it just takes more time. Once we get to production, we will make sure we have a large enough team to support the delegate servers we are maintaining, until the community takes over all delegation.

That being said, we are looking to hire some entrepreneurial full stack JavaScript engineers to give us the ability to build more quickly.

We met with a few potential Marketing Directors, and have a really interesting candidate for our Full Stack Software Engineering position. If anyone is hired we will disclose the full details.

We are ramping up marketing efforts over this weekend, especially in the area of making sure we have all of the information available for our buyers to make a decision.

Daily Update - Part 2

Now that the new website is up and running, we are going to focus on getting more information out to all of you. We have feature details, use cases, and other tidbits of information that we will be sharing in the coming days, as well as a full project roadmap.

As we have been working on the website, we have found there is a lack of a centralized cryptocurrency API that supports webhooks and any kind of streaming. While this would be a pretty major undertaking, it is something that we, among others, would benefit from greatly, so we are looking into the feasibility in building something along the lines of this in the near-term to power our website and help support the other currencies we will allow on our platform.

Daily Update

Buyers! We have some of our first buyers! We are grateful for the support from those who have bought our token already!

We have added our "About Us" page to the website, and we are working on getting some information about our Partners up on the site as well. We do have a few of them, from a PR firm out of London to a legal team from our home state of Maine, we are starting to build the size team we need to really support this project.

I also have a slew of interviews next week for a Marketing Director, as well as an Engineer. I'm looking forward to spending the time to get to know a few people, and hopefully find a few great people to add to our team.

Developer Update

Hello BCT!

We have been diligently working on various supporting systems to make sure we can support this project fully. AO Blockchain has received support from multiple organizations to help us out in the first couple of years, details on which one, and what their support entails will be forthcoming.

We have been working really hard on completing the whitepaper, and the roadmap. A draft of the roadmap is available at: https://aocyber.aha.io/publish/notebooks/6516895847266910252

This roadmap is subject to change, of course, as we start getting into the system for development.

Over the weekend, we took our site down for some maintenance. We had some issues with Coinbase, and now that those are sorted out, we are back up and running fully. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Yes! This is what we are going for. It will take a bit of time to get it fully built, but it will be worth it in the end.


Thanks for the compliments on the website! We do not currently have a plan for adding AOCoin to other exchanges, but our platform will launch with an exchange supporting BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC, and AOCoin.

Pre-Sale tokens are reserved immediately, Pre-Sale and ICO tokens will be distributed within 2-3 months of the end of the ICO, as soon as the platform switches from testnet to production.

As we are not an Ethereum based platform, we are not technically an ERC-20 token, however, we are looking at the functions being proposed for ERC-20 and are considering them.

I was the lead dev of RISE Vision. I left that project about a year ago.

Marketing is a difficult point for us. It is not something I am particularly good at. In point of fact, we just returned from an interview for a marketing director. Hopefully we will have someone on board soon to take over the marketing so I can focus on development.

Who is you target audience, business or individuals?

Ideally, Both.

The smart contracts, exchange, identity, and future banking systems are all viable for individuals to use and manage their own financial health / wealth.

Add the assets to it, and an ERP system that connects up to contracts, exchange, identity, and assets, and you have a system that can securely manage a business' transnational history, and facilitate the rapid production of reporting for various compliance and regulatory requires, and/or yearly shareholder reports.

What experience do you have in this field??

2 years ago, we helped successfully launch the RISE project. Quite a bit prior to that, I built mining tools for Litecoin based GPU minors.

We are all from the US. There are a couple of ways to do it, you just need to follow specific guidelines based on what you are trying to achieve.

The biggest part of it in the US is following SEC guidelines, and paying the IRS it's taxes. As a utility token, we pay income tax on all profits after expenses in the first year.

There is a lot of information on the project, still trying to figure it out. But it's very solid! I like the way you want to make a new better version of Blockchain that fits the today's needs!

Of course your project has a universal idea with a wide range of possibilities, but as you can see, there is not enough advertising. To promote your project on the Internet, you need a bounty company.

This project is promissing, although it shows that there's a lot to do before the ICO. Here's an advice: why don't you make a comprehensive video or maybe an interview with the CEO to explain the main idea of the project and it's advantages!

Hi, devs! There's too much planed here. Why don't you announce your initial plan as an ecosystem that is about to come. Then split it in individual projects and do it one at a time. It will be a lot more manageable. It would be beneficial for you in terms of fund raising too!

The Core of the system will be launched in a Pre-Alpha, this is the consensus and delegation portions of the system. Shortly following that will be the currency and asset parts of the system (we operate in 2 week sprints). These two releases will be API only releases, no wallet. Wallet will be released for the ICO Beta.

The target date for the ICO is for the month of May. The systems we have in place for development will help us speed through early stages of development. This is of course a tentative date. If we need more time to build the core of the system, we will take more time.

We do not yet, that will be one of the first things our new marketing director is going to be working on.

User matching is still being researched. When it comes to loans, all loans will have secured and unsecured modes, with the secured mode based on the amount of assets in the person taking out the loan's account.

People asking for funding will be matched to funders by the amount of risk the person asking for funding, and the person providing funding is willing to take, as well as a verification level both parties are willing to work with. More details are forthcoming.

Updates

Hello all!

We are building out some details while we wait to onboard a marketing director. We are looking at the website and trying to find places we can make more clear, and allow our vision to be brought more into focus. If anyone has any recommendations or suggestions, please let us know.

Bounty program is being developed, which will include everything from translations of this ANN, to translations of knowledge base articles once we have them written, to a classic signature campaign.

We are finalizing our work on our subreddit as well, so we have all of our community bases covered. That is available already at /r/AOBlockchain (https://www.reddit.com/r/AOBlockchain/). We have our ANN posted there as of right now.

There are a lot of things in progress, and we will be rolling out new pieces hopefully on a daily basis.

Maybe even a glimpse at the admin interface for blockchain nodes will be coming in the next week...  ;D

We plan on having a beta launched in the next couple of months, for an ICO to launch in May, with a fully functional platform at the end of the ICO.

Significant Update
The white paper is nearly done. We have been working hard to get the white paper entirely finalized so that we can then finalize our roadmap and start marketing properly.

We have successfully brought a Marketing Director on Board, built a marketing plan, and are doing a little rebranding. Apparently our logo needed a bit of work.  ;)

We have a new project management system (Jira and Confluence by Atlassian), and we are moving our git repositories to Github, off of GitLab, to facilitate a more open, and consistent development process.

Bounties are still being worked on, this will happen a bit more quickly as soon as we finalize the white paper.

Once we finish developing some content, we will have a more consistent social media presence. This should be completed in the next few days.

the project is very clear about all the information related to the project plan, such as the distribution of coins 2-3 months after the ICO end, but I do not see the allocation of funds for each item developed, where I can see it

We do not currently have the allocation of funds on a per function developed. That is something we will be working on in the near future.

We are currently testing a couple of different methods for our blockchain, to make sure we have the highest performance system available. We are also developing a more complete investor deck, and have some changes coming to the website to increase the ability of everyone to understand what we are trying to do, since our story is not as clear as it should be.
