I am trying to maintain portfolio by adding different coins to hodl in 2018. There are many good projects, I have Powr, Ven, TRX, Xrp, BCPT right now. What projects are you hodling, do you think its a good time to get as many coins in portfolio as market is bleeding?

This is a tough time when the market is bleeding and you want to invest a lot of coins.
Currently, I holding Eth, XRP and XLM. Although all three are in the trend of bleeding, but I'm sure before end Q1, those will show good profit for hodl.

The most promising coin for 2018 is Cardano (https://coincodex.com/crypto/cardano/) IMO. Amazing project with a great team.

If I were to choose which coins I am going to #HODL for 2018, here are the following:

*Electroneum (will mine a lot of ETNs once the mobile miner is officially launched)
*Tron (will plan to buy more because I feel that the current numbers in my portfolio aren't good enough yet)
*Dogecoin (because I believe it will fly due to the year of the dog despite developers are inactive)
*LoyalCoin (still under ICO but I'm planning to buy more and #HODL them for a long while)
*SiaCoin (haven't bought yet, but I'm having plans to buy and hold them)
*Digitex (they're dubbing this as the next Electroneum, so I'm all in)

I am not sure regarding the others, but I'm mixing the short and long-term coins that I'm going to #HODL for long.

Ethereum is my number one Altcoin for holding in 2018. Ethereum is set to take the center stage of cryptocurrency. Pos is coming and ethereum network is constantly been work on will translate to development which will make ethereum network to scale faster.

I'm a traditionalist. BTC, ETH, STR, XRP, DASH, XMR, ZEC. Strong teams, stable networks.

The most coin I would like to hold is REBL it keeps pumping and pumping.

I am hodling ripple and sonm, I will really hodl them for 2-3 years. I separated some money to invest in ripple and sonm which I will not need it for years. I believe too much in these coins than any other coins because of their focused industries' potential.

Personally, I would not have TRX in the portfolio. Undefined token. But IOTA on your place, I would add. The coin should show good growth in 2018.

All new coins, low market cap, low total supply => easy x5-10 EOY 2018

Of the smaller ones i try to buy/hodl Sonm, Onion and Xspec (spectrecoin).

From the big ones i try to hodl bitcoin, eth, iota, ripple, nem, stellar, ada, litecoin and now i'm also looking for some omg, substratum, golem, stratis, neo and maybe tron if price drops. Oh and yeah wabi is also quite good.

I also buy some bitcoin cash each time that price drops to 2.300 usd because it goes crazy sometimes even if it is not such a popular/potential coin.

Electroneum is indeed very promising, I am waiting for it to be listed on normal exchanges where I could just transfer some money into it. I don't like dealing with new exchanges. Doge is still good, but I think it will inevitably die slowly.
As for me, I am holding blackmoon (already have 3x profit, but I'm not sure whether it's the right time to sell), litecoin, ripple (I bought it rather high and now my investment is down, but I believe eventually ripple will bring me good money) and iota (my favourite coin of all, strongly believe it will show its power to the world).

Though I wish to hodl Bitcoin, which rather seems impossible right now. But least i own ETH, NAGA, DASH, XMR, ZEC and planning to get more by buying them and getting from ICOs.

2018 started with some huge gains as XRP and ETH made some good gains and other low price coins made 10x - 100x over the few months.
A correction will definitely take place when such huge gains are made within a short time. This might be the time for some correction as BTC has gone down now. At present I am holding some BTC and ETH as I believe in them. Also it would be a good time in investing in some potential ICOs as new year is the best time to make new investments.

I see red in the market and just sold most of my BTC and ETH and will wait for a week or so or until prices stabilize before getting in again.

I think that 2018 is going to be the year of the anonymous coins, coins such ZCash,Monero,Digital Cash(DASH), who offer maximum anonymity .

Why would I think that?

The crypto market has been growing up really hard recently, and regulators are starting to put their eyes on the market, we can see how the chinese government threat to cease bitcoin mining at it's country, and we can see how the South Korean regulators, that were considered to be bitcoin friendly, are now threatening to close the exchanges because of money laundaring.

With a total anonymous coin such as Monero, they won't be able to do anything like that, and they won't even be able to track the coins that are being sent from and outside the exchange, that's the reason I believe that 2018 is going to be an huge year for the anonymous coins.

its not the right move to sell because you see red color. it is very hard to buy again once you have sold it. if you can not find the right schedule or if you do not think it is, the price of everything you sell will be very high. you can only watch :)

XRP and ETH is what I am holding for 2018.

Yes I am looking at Electroneum also but would like to do it through
Bittrex or Poloniex. it seems a very promising project indeed.

I am also holding [for a long time now] SIA, Such a great project which
is actually working and also some interesting developments coming in
2018 so it could be a good year for SIA.

PAY is another I am holding. I believe in this project and to be honest
other CARD projects as a means of using BITCOIN and possible other

I am holding at least six currently. Am gonna list them and the reasons why i like to hold them a little bit longer. They are as follow;
1. ETH: The growth of this coin in the past few days has been outrageous and fantastic. Its price on coinmarketcap is given to be growing at the rate of at least 6% daily. Currently the coin stands at $1,318.30. It also stands to be one of the most stable coin in the world right now.
2. XRP: This coin also keep surprising people of the cryptos' world. In the last month of 2017 straight into Jan 2018, it has rose through the ranks. In short, Ripple is causing ripples right now.
3. XLM: The Steller coin also has won me over. It's price stands at $0.4 currently. It's bearable for anyone to invest in. Also the tendency for an unbelievable growth in the coming couples of months is very feasible.
4. DASH: This coin is cool too. It stands at $1,048, just like Eth, the coin is gonna bring profits for its holders.
5. XRM: This coin also has won me over. I plan on holding for a very long time.
6. OMG: This coin is number six on my list. I also plan on holding it for a long period.

I can suggest you tree coin. first one is monaco  because they will send monaco card very soon. Second one is dovu. The most reliable project for me. third one is coinlancer beacuse it is the best freelancer and they will fly to moon in short time

I will hold BTC, BTG, and doge coin for this year because I think the future the price of them will high maybe higher than Eth :) I hope it can be real, but I don't know for the future  :D

New year started with lots of promise in most of the coins and there were quite a few coins which shows the upward graph. ETH is one them and probably has the most improved correction in 2018.ETH is one of my top picks.Before few weeks or at the start of 2018 i had consider ripple as my investment and would suggest to everyone blindly.Not that now it is not good but there is the few hiccups in growth.I still believe ripple could prove one of the top gainers.Other than that Dash or IOTA would be my last pick and this is purely on trust that they will do good in future.

I'm hodling ADA, IOTA, and RaiBlocks.

I also have the same coins on my list and holdings, with some exceptions and addition. Eth and Ripple are sure fire at the moment, xlm, I am not too aware of though. I also consider stellar, LTC, sumocoin and waves. I think those coins are promising for invesment and trend. I have been tracking them regularly. Recently, I found daneel (https://daneel.io) an app that provides good information and well-analyzed data with real time updates that could help one decide or at least incline to those coins that have good potential for investment.

I have invested much of my money in ZClassic because more and more people who are interested in the bitcoin Private fork are investing their money in this coin and this coin already have increased to a higher level and two days ago I saw from a news that this coin have once again the chance to double up in price so I am sure that this will increase my money much higher. 2018 will be the year of XSPEC. Its a total anonymous coin. The Max Supply is very low and the market cap too. So it have huge potential to rise to over hundreds of dollars without making any new record in the market.

The bleeding is finally gone. We are now in green color almost all over the charts. This is going to be good. I hope this will continue within the first quarter of this year. And just very recently, a couple of days ago, I bought some Coinlancer (CL) in HitBTC. I hope I made the right choice with these coins.

I have a lot of coins holding for this 2018 and next few years. My top 5 coins are TRX, AION, CAPP, UTRUST, and RPX. I know these coins has the potential to boom in the market for the next few months or years. Just trust on the core team of particular coin. Just patience, stay strong and don't panic sell.

still the same as last year, in this year 2018 I still keep to hold etherum. various factors that keep me from getting bitcoin, make me choose to buy and hold etherum. Buying bitcoin is very unlikely to me because its price is expensive, and so far I also do not have the tools for mining bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency is definitely a popular topic these days especially since Bitcoin just reached an all time high of $20,000 per coin. The question is, which cryptocurrency should you invest in 2018? Will there be another coin that peaks as much as Bitcoin? Will we miss the opportunity yet again?

You should just focus in one crypto currency instead of investing your money on to many different things. Just invest your money into 2-3 altcoins that you trust the most that you've background check,  unless if you're really rich then i guess you dont mind losing money.  For me i only invest my money on long term asset that can be profitable and highly valuable in the future.

This year will continue to be the record breaking year, nowadays so many people are involved in which also makes crypto world a lot more stronger than the previous years. - High risk, high return: ico coins, low market cap, low price, low supply
- Low risk, low return: bitcoin, neo , eth...

NEO is my number one Altcoin for holding in 2018. 2018 began with great success for NEO. The main growth is expected this year. The price will reach $ 500  8)

ETH . I think ETH's price will get a big increase in 2018. Most of the icos are asking for ETH , not BTC , and not any other altcoins, there must be a reason.

keeping a well balanced portfolio of alts is the key. On one side I have btc,eth, xrp,  looking to buy some neo. On the other side i have deepbrainchain $dbc, VeChain - $ven, Hiveproject - HVN. Also some minor investments in hedge token hdg and tezos iou.

You'v got a good portfolio already. If you so wish, you can select some few undervalued coins particularly those still going for few cents. I think ETN, DENT, LEND and ADA got great long term potential.

HODLing: BTC, LTC, ETN. XRP I am still unsure on what to do with. ETH is one I am always wanting to HODL but it is my first pick for currency to use when investing in an ICO. Might be investing in OmiseGo for HODLing as well.

They are the two most stable coins in my opinion, may yield less than other cryptocurrencies, but more stable.

I am holding very strongly bitcoin,  ethereum,  spectre (shut,  sxdt)  and couple of other ICO that are relevant to day to day uses in reality  and in market.  2018 will be a year when blockchain base coin and ethereum based token will have to prove themselves in market place.

I've been doing research for some time now. Looks like this is a good time to get into cryptos since the prices are low, a lot of interesting suggestions for coins here I think I'll invest a little bit in February and March and have a plan by the end of Q1.

Yes, BTC and ETH are the most stable coins in the crypto market and they also among the most consistent coin in market when it come to yielding good return. Therefore, they also bring more profit. However, investing into crypto currency excluding ICO is incomplete.

I have big hope in the privacy coins. Thats why i hold Verge XVG, Enigma ENG and DeepOnion. All of those coins are real anonymous, and with this coins its possible to make transaction in countrys where cryptocurrencies are forbidden. So inf future they will play a huge role. And im also holding Peculium tokens, because when they start with the working trading AI, everbody will go crazy and they have a good partnership with google who will support them!

I would agreed on Eth and Xlm but not in xrp Eth is really promising and has a brighter future and possibly Xlm too because there both in maintaining their value though it may got dropped but it can recovered at once.

I am holding btc and eth for long term. i think the price is good enough for us to buy in more coins and we can make more money with wha twe have in the future.

I am planning to hold coins which are for long term and have good track records for the past years. With this you can rely on its performance and its market to flourish.

I have strong positions in some of the coins I like long term, like

SUB.  

Then i've got some fliers out there that I'll watch, I love the ideas, but I'm not in deep on em, such as

I get torn between strengthening positions on the coins I really like long term, or coins/tokens that are already in work.... or taking fliers on others that I love the sound of, but are still more idea phase than usage phase.

Currently i am holding STK AND GBX FOR 2018, I will HODL these tokens through their Roadmap and see great increases as we go forward.Its important to see the long picture in these long HOLDS as why would you take a 9x profit when you can take a 200 x waiting a few months... makes no sense... as long as you can find other incomes whilst you wait

Definitely when the market falls so much it is good to buy new coins.
As far as the portfolio for 2018 is concerned, I prefer: Stellar, Monero, Ethereum and IOTA.

I have some Vechain, bought recently when price dump.The collaborations are stunning and in the next months it will get the appreciation it deserves. My plan is to hold in long therm!

I have many but the most promising one that I have is Ethereum. I always read the news about Eth and I'm happy that finally they will lay down their plans for 2018. Great!  :D

My friend, how do you find the time and excitement to deal with all of these coins? Why have you chosen such a long list of altcoins? I chose NEO, Monero, Cardano, ARK, Ethereum and sure, Bitcoin.

I will buy icon in these dips and holding neo, etherium and Dragonchain. I had bought bluzelle at initial listing and its doing quite good now. Bought some thekey and waiting for the chinapex (CPX). I will buy major volume of wanchain once it got listed at trading platform as well and i will hold it for a long time. I just hope the market goes back to normal soon and the fud news will be lessen.

I'm currently holding deep onion, and i might buy some prl or decent  ;D

I heard a news that IOTA can not be used for "Internet of things" project. If this is true, it will become a worthless coin.

As of now im hodling bitcoin for my long-term holding and altcoins like ethereum, neo, ripple, cardano and iota. Im planning also to invest at monero, gas and waves. Im not familiar to other altcoins, so i will just stick at my cryptos now. What i have now for me is the best of all crytocurrency, i know i will earn higher at my choice and im just waiting at my profits to come.😎

Im hodlin kucoinshares,eos and steem, i think this 3 will make me rich in 2018 so im hodling them for long term for sure, plus two of them give me small dividends.

the coins to hold in 2018, in my oppinion, they are ripple, ethereum, staller..split the budget to invest in 3 coins and hold for long enough to reach your profit target

I am holding couple of cryoto which are really promising and has good impressions on the market.ETH,LTC,Bitcoin Cash I am holding for 2018.I think these coins are comes after bitcoin.And I think I will get good amount of profit this year by holding these coins.I am really confident about ETH because last year it gave me so much profits and I think it has a brighter future than any other crypto.I like LTC too because it's old in market and also it's price is reasonable for me.

My two biggest assets for year 2018.

1) CREDITS
2) TBAR

Both are quite new and low  on price but with huge potential , I suggest you take a look at them.
From big alternative currencies , my biggest asset is NEO , thinking that it is not worth selling below 200$ mark.

I am now holding bitcoin and ETH today, it seems that these two has a big potential in the future. I will take the risk of holding these two because I predicted that these two will make become rich and successful.

Bitcoin and Ethereum these are my holding coins for this year 2018. More people speculate that price may climb this year even speculations only I believe the demands on this coin would increase.

IOTA (MIOTA)
Internet of Things Applications Token has a core value in its role as an IOT driver. Tokens are not built on Bitcoin's "bubble". This is the reason to expect that after this volatility this altcoyin will become a worthy investment.

Credits, a very good coin that will give us more than x10 during this year, the same for Dragonchain, i am holding it since it was $0,50 each one of them.

I, m holding BAX,VERGE,ADA,TRX and QTUM for 2018. I hope it will give me huge profit.

Dinastycoin ( DCY )  is my main one to hold but have some TurtleCoin (TRTL) too

i am 100000000% going to hold THUG Coin, because they habe a well organised team and a very detailed whitepaper, they are reliable as they deliver airdrop coins within 7 day and are alos available on the market, so dont waste ur time with other coins and invest in THUG

I recommend to take a closer look at EOS and TRON. I believe these two assets will be top this year.
Why? It's simple. Firstly, they quickly filled up the volume, but the price had not yet reacted. Secondly EOS detaches its branch of the blockade from the ether, and this is very strong.

I keep my belief in XRP and ETH, there are some potential coin but I think both of them is good enough to me.
