Eth looks to be gaining ground on bitcoin very quickly.  I predict in 2 weeks we will see 2k ethereum and in 2 months ethereum marketcap will be bigger than bitcoins.  Thoughts?

The eth also for 2k can pass me it seems. But of course such wild growth as it was in 2017 already can not be expected, then it grew generally good.

I believe that the broadcast should overcome $ 2,000 over the next 2 months.  In addition, the cost of a single Ethereum coin can reach $ 5,000 by the end of 2018.

Ethereum is a project that makes me regret too much. I would have taken 50 pieces and gave it to an edge, but there was no opportunity.

I am buying on the dips and rises to gain more profits and I am starting to build up my position on ETH. I am waiting for a major dip but its more stable than BTC. I think it has to do with all the ICOS and those stupid cats. I think if ETH wasn't around BTC would be above 20K and still growing.

The Ethereum demonstrated an impressive progress at the start of this year. This proves that investors are gradually moving to alt coins. Hopefully, the ETH access will continue until it reaches $ 5k until this year's end.

I don't think we will see ETH at 2k that quickly, seems like it will surely happen within 2018 and potentially it can overtake bitcoin as early as this year but in practice I think it will be too much for ETH to grow so soon. Let's not forget where ETH was just at the beginning of 2017.

I don't agree that BTC is struggling to grow in price because of Ethereum. Bitcoin has its own problems and they have nothing to do with Ethereum. Ethereum has been around for ages so this doesn't make any sense that ETH is holding BTC down. The problem of BTC are slow and expensive transactions. Even during increased number of transactions on Ethereum network, transaction fee is still much lower than Bitcoin's. Even if you have to pay the maximum Gas price (60 or 70 Gwei), the fee is still relatively cheap (3 or 4 USD) so people started using ETH for transfers and also for trading because more and more exchanges are offering ETH trading pairs (one of the fastest growing exchanges KuCoin is offering ETH trading pairs for pretty much all cryptocurrencies).

What I see is resistance at 0.1 ETH/BTC and a possibly failed breakout here. I would definitely be careful adding to an ETH position. If anything, I'm watching for failure and looking to unload for BTC. Long term, it's tempting to draw that mega-bull channel to 0.35-0.4 BTC but I'd rather take this wave by wave.

Altcoiners should be aware: the Bitcoin scaling pump is coming. Both Lightning and Rootstock are on the menu now, and I think they are going to take a lot of hype from the "fast and cheap transaction" altcoins.

Plasma seems to be Q2 goodness. For me, I would expect ETH to jump a bit very soon... with people jumping back in. But that is just me talking.

I dont think its going to be in 2 weeks but I think it will definitely happen this year. I would say probably in 2 months.

I think that Ethereum will be 2000 and 3000, but not in 2 weeks. Right now there are no serious prerequisites or news that will raise bitcoin's price by 400%. I believe that the price will be 2000 in November approximately, maybe we will see even 3000 for 1 Ethereum ..

Although, the price of Ethereum has increased sharply over the past few weeks, but in the current market situation, I think it is highly unlikely that it would hit 2k in such a small period of time. If on Consensys we will heard any great news for ETH than $2k will be no so more. But today such price seems unattainable in close future. Patience is the key to get more. I will wait news from this conference

It is very hard to make future price projections with such a small time frame. While a rally into consensus and afterwards is likely for most cryptos, it is unrealistic to expect such a big rise in Ethereum in just two weeks.

No it's not possible bro because first of all you have to understand about both of BTC & ETH growth.Bitcoin is the king of whole market and after that ETH is queen just simple thinking.Any single coin price never overtake BTC i think.ETH will crossed 2K$ after 2018.In this year ETH highest growth 1K$ this is my complement.ETH growing is main reason is very ICO is involved ETH.

I see no reason for the rapid and strong growth of ETH. This coin develops gradually. But I hope that I will sometime see this price.

It is not very accurate to put a limit on a crypto with the potential like Ethereum for 2 weeks. There are much higher levels he can reach in the long run. The important thing is that we will not wait patiently by taking the right steps for our investments.

My price forecast for Ethereum at the beginning of the year is $2000, it is surprising that we are still at the first half of the year and people are still talking of $2k, for now nothing concrete is coming from Ethereum team to help drive the fundamental analysis, the whole market has been affected by this

How do you predict? this is actually not a prediction because it seems that only based on your wish, not on a objective data. The prediction is also not realistic at all.

Ibthinknyour prediction is not easy as we think that in two weeks ethereum will reach 2k price. But who knows ifvtheres a magic that your prediction will happen it's a good news for us because a lot of people will be happy because there profit will grow.

I think it's very difficult, just now to get through 1k quite a flame, the highest ETH price yesterday at 0.085 BTC / ETH. I think it's very difficult to reach 2k in 2 weeks.

Yes we should not be optimistic so much that ethereum in two weeks time can hit $2k. The ethereum price is fluctuates much and we could'nt say for now it may hit the price. Though ethereum is growing and it has a big potential this year.

eth is back to good growth.  I believe eth will return to the 2k mark and the end of the year will reach 5k

four months later , i saw this post again . the lowest price of ether reached 378 dollars , in April of this years . its market value cannot exceed bitcoin , within ten years

You live in a phantasy man.Eth is following btc same as during a hand holding girl in the park.If to remember eth ATH ,when btc was 20k,it will need to get to around 40,so that you get 2k eth .And if that happens,it wont be in 2 weeka for sure.More chance we will deep even more

What thoughts can be here, by the end of the year this is possible because we see a stable growth in difference even from bitcoin. But for the time being this is not the kind of growth that can convince us that there will not be another collapse, so I think we should not make any hasty decisions at this time.

Currently there are some management debates going on within Ethereum top developers, they still need a structure that is truly decentralized and to vest power away from negative influencers like Buterin, whose "politically correct" ideas are hurting the spirit of cryptocurrencies and the professional credibility of ETH. The naive unicorn boy needs to be educated a lot.

Honestly, this is the time of recovery for all digital assets. None of them is aiming at setting new record. It is even difficult for bitcoin, which has the most potential and volatility to gain an increment of 2k dollars in its present worth within this much limited duration. Ethereum is a way too slow in gaining value. Though it will keep on increasing but I don’t see ETH becoming that expensive.

It's good to optimistic but I don't think that ETH can push at the high. Maybe in the coming years we can reach that price as the marketcap getting bigger.

I agree to the fact that Eth will cross 2000 USD in future but can't predict when it will reach there. It may or may not be there in next 2 months. Price of Eth is still attractive, we saw in last year bullish market run ETH crossing 1000 USD. I dont see much risk in buying ETH at current rate.

I do not think that. ETH still need more time to recover. Most of coins are falling down and ETH is not exeption. In my prediction, ETH will hit 2000$ in 2020. and in the end of 2018, it will reach to 1000$

I think you are predicting too much. Ethereum will not hit 2K dollar in just a short period of time. The trend now is everytime bitcoin drops all altcoins drops too.

Correct mate since January 2018 price of altcoins difficult to predict and analyst specially if you are working in trading hard to find coin become potentially to increase into market cap, i really believe ethereum reach 2k usd value but not in the short or not this year even have an prediction for ethereum become expensive in this year but sometimes the prediction are totally come true is only a prediction so be patience those have ethereum in their wallet.
