Title: Crypto Bloodbath..
Post by: erickkyut on January 16, 2018, 02:49:16 AM
The crypto market are currently all in red. It seems that there is a bloodbath. How long do you think will it take and what do you think is the reason behind it? Is it just a massive price correction or is it the end for the crypto world? Just want to know your opinion about it.

The total market cap(https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/ (https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/)) is higher than it was at the start of the year(just 15 days ago), so imo it's fully normal and okay for something like this to happen

I'm not really experienced with technical analysis so take this with a grain of salt. I personally think it's about time for bitcoin to take a bullish trend, it's just a matter of when; as altcoins have been getting all the attention lately. We're probably going to stay at the $12,000-$15,000 price mark probably until early next month, unless the price drops more. And yes, I personally think that this is indeed a price correction. Though there's no reason to panic as we're still up in price since December.

Unfortunately this type of scenarios are becoming very common in this market, so I think we should get used to it if we are really interested in speculating with altcoins. At the end of the day, after these sharp declines most cryptos tend to resume their bullish momentum, so instead of scaring us we should take advantage of these scenarios to buy wholesale cryptos to take advantage of the unexpected offer.

Nothing to worry if you are a believer, the price will be back up soon.
Weak hands will dump for sure so that is the time to take advantage of their ignorance, we have seen this many times, when the market correct
the next thing will happen is another pump, just stay cool and put that patience in your heart, we will survive this.

This is clearly a price correction. All we need to do is wait and monitor the bitcoin price if it is about to go up again. If i have extra penny ill buy more bitcoins.  ;)

This is not a bloodbath but yeah kind of annoying to wait in patience for things to come back up. Many whales are dumping their coins so people will follow them and they will buy for even lower amount. Everything was calm until the South Korean FUD started spreading around. It is best if you hold the coins and wait for everything to settle instead of panic selling and making the whales even richer. On the positive side NEO is gaining a lot of traction. And if you have some extra cash to spare then thing that coins are at a discounted price and go for the right now.

This bloodbath marks a good buying point for me, there is nothing such as the end of the cryptoworld from the night to the morning... Lots of things need to happen, nonetheless we are on a bubble and after it crashes and the aftermath only the real projects with real teams that are prepared will be there and ready to make a huge amount of money

Yep, it's almost 1 week this bloodbath start and all cryptocurrency are on red, actually i don't know what happen to cryptocurrency right now but i'm sure it will go up again later. It's a good sign to invest though, my money is ready to buy some coins that i predict will go up big like bitcoin.

Majority of the coins are red in the market. But crypto world is not end this price correction. I think some new arrivals are coming in future. So huge amount investors are dropped in the crypto currency investment. This is one kind of problem in the market. Few of the coins are green in market. We don't predict it is maintained in positive. But I am always hold my cryptocurrency. This is the best option for current situation.

That would be good if he shares but by simply looking at the market https://coinmarketcap.com/ almost top coins are good buy at the moment.
Nothing to fear as eventually the price will rise after this hard dump, we should think positive that the trend will happen again as in the past we
have also see some dump but it has recovered.

True that the cryptocurrency market are now experiencing hard fall ($742 billion to $652 billion total market cap), but this is not the end for cryptocurrencies, we have seen this a lot of times and it happens a lot of times before most of us enters cryptocurrency and at the end cryptocurrency market still recovered. I still don't know the reason of the crash right now, maybe it is just another huge price correction because cryptocurrency market cap rapidly increases in just 2 months. And we all know that when there is a rapid rise at will rapidly fall too as there are people will always take their profits.

To be honest you don't even need to have any experience on any kind of markets whatsoever. You can easily know this just simply by seeing the price graph of almost any other decent cryptocurrency out there.

There is no bloodbath. Only a normal correction. Who has just a little experience in forex knows this.

Lack of investment into cryptos, banning of traders, exchangers in Korea, a long holiday gap and and the price value are the reasons for the whole market price being in red. But, they are resuming now as per coinmarketcap.com data.

I am sure the market will boom again soon. As we predicted, we can still expect bitcoin rate and other altcoins rate go up in few days.

It's just to many new traders who don't understand how prices move here, nothing else like bad news I'd say. When you have many people entering and when they see quick buck they are scared to hold their coins as there are a lot of talks about this being a bubble,  which can be true on its own but seeing this like every time we are ignorant on that claim, which has as a result they are selling to take profits. Always goes like this.

I think this is not now happen in 4 months i involved in trading i always saw like this in ctypto marketcap not only coins having red, all altcoins are really affected on bitcoin dropping that's why many altcoins now also drop in coinsmarketcap. It is normal now i think it takes a months after will recover all dumping coins and also bitcoin.

Yes this is not the end, besides it is now the better opportunity to buy more coin if you have enough funds and just hold atleast 4-5 months.

Drops like this is quite normal in this space the crypto space is really full of swings and that as trader we should know very well. I think this correction is brought up of those who bought during the ATH and got scared lately by the down trend brought up by the south korean government. We just need  to hodl and be warm for there will always be sunshine during this bloodbaths. If this dumps scares you then I advise you to not to trade anymore for it is bad for your health.

It is just part of the correction after reaching all-time high. We are on a bearish trend now that's why it continues to go down. Maybe a whale sold some of his coins and in effect it made the price go down and then others follow suit those who panic sell resulting to a lower price. As what we expected, when bitcoin makes a move like this, other coins are affected as well resulting to a bloodbath. That's why it is important to set a stop-loss at times like this and then buy your favorite coin at a lower price.

Indeed it's not the end of crypto world because we have seen this in the past and surely things will be back on track with he time but the only thing we need to make sure is we don't do oaNic selling unless it's the matter of emergency as panic sell negatively affects the market of that particular coin which is already bleeding let's hope for the best and believe in crypto it has been there from years and it will be there.

The issue with this is greediness of people who are new to bitcoin.

Basically I know half a dozen people locally who bought bitcoin at like $19,000 and since it didn't go to $50,000 they sold it at like $13,000 to buy some alts like Ripple or Tron which doubled everyday.

They bought those at the ATH and even lost more money in terms of dollars compared to the bitcoin loss.

Most likely they will complain even more tomorrow and sell their Ripple, and later on sell their Bitcoin and go back to trading stocks.

This is the opportunity for you to buy bitcoin and altcoin with the cheapest price in 2018, I am sure so. If you're holding a bitcoin or Ethereum, buy low-cost, high-value altcoins, which will be the fastest gaining coin, do not miss this best chance because you will hardly see it again it again.

I did.
But I think there is more room for another leg down.
Especially for Ripple.

And IMO we are witnessing a bit of siphoning of funds from Bitcoin to Ethereum and other Altcoins.

Good luck everyone!

i was hoping that if there was a bubble, and there sure has been one, it would be based on stuff with more fundamentals than the 2013 bubble.

in fact this time around i think it's even emptier than the last one. ridiculous stuff like tron reaching tens of billions, or ripple topping 100 billion, should be enough of a signal to anyone.

it could all iron out after a typical january or there could be a long ass way to go down. it's time newbies got schooled in how harsh this stuff can be.

All the big whales and day traders are bleeding the markets and taking out all their profits, plus the FUD again in China and S.Korean markets is making everything go down again as usual. Unfortunately it always goes down so fast you always get caught out in the process and then lose all your profit and money. I think from now on every time I see one of my coins reach an all time high I will sell and not be emotionally attached to any project because this way I am always losing.

Those who already gained a lot might be cashing out their profits and shake the market, but for us who are inside this industry we are positive that
the market will soon to rise back and we are seeing this as an opportunity for us to buy and hold more of those coins that we are supporting with
we just needed to keep calm and patiently waiting for another big jumped, this bloody days will soon to be over it can be extend but if we really
believes then just keep it on hold.

We had a "bloodbath" already several times. Wait one or a few days and you will see most of cryptocurrencies bouncing back. Before you see the "end for the crypto world" study the history of cryptocurrencies and you will see, where they stood at beginning of last year. Bitcoin was on 800$, Litecoin was in 4$, Etherum on around 20$, Dash on 40$ and so on.

This is all part of the market cycle in cryptoverse. It is a roller coaster ride, and a wild one. The market is being shaken off of those who are weak-handed. For those who sold on their losses, you should learn from your mistake and take this as a lesson from the crypto universe. Cryptocurrency still has a long way to go and development to its full potential could take a lot of years, so, it's not yet the end for crypto.

Historically, when Bitcoin has a good sell off, alts go down with it. I always thought that was counter-intuitive since people sell alts to get the bitcoin that is going down, but I suppose it is because the alts are more fragile. They seem to go up faster than bitcoin and down faster with thinner markets, so people like to ride alts as bitcoin rises and return to bitcoin when it falls. Really, though, this is just another day in the crypto market ;)

The crypto market are currently all in red. It seems that there is a bloodbath. How long do you think will it take and what do you think is the reason behind it? Is it just a massive price correction or is it the end for the crypto world? Just want to know your opinion about it.

I've seen a lot of reasons thrown around and guess it's a combination of them all. Firstly as you said a simple correction. Secondly uncertainty around south korea and China's positions in the market and how they're going to regulate crypto. Thirdly the lunar new year coming up and many selling off to fund expenses. Fourthly all US transactions reportedly coming under taxation in future. It's not the end though, the recovery will come in time, crypto has survived much worse than this.

Definitely south Korean and Chinese clamped down and banning of Cryptos is causing more dumping and also a  FUB by mike Bell of Jp Morgan urging all government to ban  Cryptos is also affecting the prices of Cryptos presently the price of bitcoin is down to a support at $11200.

For me this is just a normal big correction. Its normal on Crypto world and this is not yet the end of the cryptocurrencies. As long as there is a price on it, its still have a worth. Don't think that it's the end, too early to think about that.

This bloodbath on market is sign a good to buy on and prepare your the seat for a rocket to the new moon (ATH)

After all these years do have engagement on crpytocurrencies these kind of scenarios isnt already new to us.Bloodbath can happen anytime but knowing the actual reasons then it would be hard but we can assume that this is just simply a sell off for those people who did buy earlier.Profit taking for short which is normal on this trading world but eventually these kind of dumps wont really last long because sooner or later it will recover no matter what.

It just due to SoKor and China banning, both Cpunyry always finds a way to buy at low price and it's quite effective, so we just need to follow them on buying mpre and hold till they goes to the moon again.

This is exactly why it is called a market - there are not only those who buy, there are also whose who sell, and when those who sell happen to be more than those who buy... well, then things like today happen.

For my personal opinion, the "Bloodbath" is normal.

In the crypto market, we usually can see the price go up or down more than 10%, or 20%.

If you think it normal when the price go up 20%, then you should be used to the down 20%.

There are also people saying that another reason for the bearish is because Chinese are selling their coins because they need money in preparation for their upcoming Chinese New Year. Lol. Yes you are right. It is the best time to but more coins. After this bloodbath, expect price increase of your investments.

So let's just go what China and South Korea wants and let's buy more. We all know that when fud is about China it have a really big impact in the market so be used to it as they're always greedy to own more. Surely, they're the big whales in the market so don't get fool and don't give your money to them.

there are many problems currently on bitcoin, some countries seem to follow china's footsteps to ban bitcoin, but i think this mess and chaos will happen transiently, i'm sure some days ahead the market situation will return to normal and many people will re-buy bitcoin and price will recover, I think the current price that is bloody is an opportunity for you to buy bitcoin at a cheap price

Bitcoin has taken a dip in January in 2015, 16 and 17. Look at a chart and January was the low level for each of those years.

If history repeats itself with BTC, this correction will be the low point for 2018. No one really knows where the bottom is, so people scale in if they are going to take a position in an asset. Previous major highs are typically support, same with moving averages like the 50, 100 and 200 dma.

Most of the BTC pullbacks that I've witnessed have been sharp V bottoms.  Check out the 4hr and 1 hr charts.

Looks like correction before next massive pump but who really know
It's most definitely a correction, and a fairly severe one at that.  What remains to be seen is if and how bitcoin is going to rebound.  I'm prepared for this being only one leg down in a massive crash--the end result of all the idiots piling into bitcoin, not knowing exactly what they're buying, but buying it at an all-time high.  You know, just how it happens in every bubble since the dawn of financial markets.

This doesn't bother me at all, since I currently don't have a lot of bitcoin, and I've been expecting this for months now.  Most of me thinks we'll come back to $19,000 within a few months and then go higher.  As they say, the bull market still has legs (I think).

Nothing to worry if you are a believer, the price will be back up soon.
Weak hands will dump for sure so that is the time to take advantage of their ignorance, we have seen this many times, when the market correct
the next thing will happen is another pump, just stay cool and put that patience in your heart, we will survive this.
Very well said, if you are just new to market world wherein things really happens like this and you have no guts to take risk you'll probably thinking to sell everything you are holding but if you are really a true believer of cryptos then this kind of things might not scares you.

Next pump will really happen there are market control behind this dump. So buy dips right now and keep holding that one.

Debit cards like cryptopay and payza are also not going to be working anymore, so ths is also affecting now how many of us peeps can get our money out, they want to make it difficult for people in crypto as much as possible in order to get people to not invest in this technology and not make a better life. I am all behind crypto, even if my bags all die, I am stll behind the technology and the problems it can solve. Maybe this is the end of the short lived bull run and we are going down further or it may rebound much stronger than before, shaking out all the newbies who just went in for a quick buck and those internet marketers pluggng scams.

Cryptotrading is not for emotional people.
When starting cryptotrading you should quit emotion and don't panic sell or panic buy. This phenomenon is normal, it happens that after a HUGE increase (I want to remember that we were at 17 Bn marketcap at early 2017), a correction is going to happen.

Many can say that it's just a correction, other as a beginning of a bearish trend. In my opinion we will recover in weeks/months: This is a fast growing market with a lot of things ahead.
SO I will put some big buy orders on the way down ;)   (I'm not trading with 2 cents, lost a lot of K$ in the previous 48 hours, but I'm still sleeping well and happy).

Yes we need to be patience here because every dump there is a pump that enabled us to earn a profit and we should not join the flow of the market when its going down because it maybe manipulated by some people that are planning to dump but later on they increase the price so that they can earn a big profit and the people who sold their coins in the dump losses their money.

I know one of the reason.

Bitconnect

They were 2 Billion Dollar Crypto and was in Top 10 at a point in time on Coinmarketcap and Today their Price dropped 95%

Beginners who invested in them are crying like a baby now. This was suppose to happen sooner or later, Question was just when and today it did. Let's enjoy that one of the Ponzi is out. There will be more trust in the market.

many analysis from financial advisors predicted this crash since the last pump and this is the usual way of the market and this is what happens always in stock exchange market as in wall street . This crash is just what happens when big investors decide to go for a big speculation on the market and they do it together at the same period so the system is to start a massive selling process when the price is as some point stable so they can get a good price for it . And then with this massive selling process the price will crash down for the minimum possible . At this point the same investors who created this selling process they start a massive buying process and this how the price start rising again and he will reach again his usual price and maybe even more so they get a big profit from this manipulation of the market . I hope you get the idea for what is going on . So don't panic and start selling also now because the price will rise again and very soon also

I am relieved my wife or myself never invested in Bitconnect. I think too many people who got involved with that scam were like newbies in crypto and only got into Bitcoin or altcoins because of this scam. I think many of those people will be totally put off now and will ot re enter the crypto markets. What we need in crypto now is serious investors who see potential in the technology, not people from facebook who used to be internet marketers and want fast cash, who just now became so called crypto gurus with their followers and made a ton off their referrals who got rekt.

1 week more for sure! Buy now while you still can!

Right now the correction is taking its place and all coins are experiencing massive changes in the price. Those patient enough will try to persist in the current state the market is at and they will catch the possible opportunity. This bloodbath how you called it is having the negative impact for the whole crypto world because the investors are backing up from it and transferring their money into centralized currencies.

Now is the right time for the payment of the coins that have the perspective because I am sure that the value of the specific coins, especially Bitcoin will double the price it had on the highest point of 2017. Make the investment if you have reserve bankroll at the side for the coins with the capabilities of improvement.

The red color is just a delusion that the manipulation of the individuals caused and that manipulation wont last forever. One week is the longest term I am predicting for this failure in the market and after that those that were patient and those that have invested will be satisfied with the success they have achieved after the correction ends and uprising starts!

May be, but if you don't buy, you'll never benefit from these lower levels. The main point is that people are focusing on increasing their coin quantity, and as long as you have managed to sell near peak levels, or even around $13,000/$14,000 a few days ago, you have successfully managed to contribute towards your goal. If you don't pull the trigger, you'll either risk having missed out on a great buying opportunity, or you'll see that it was indeed a good move to wait a bit longer. But then again, those who end up waiting longer, always end up waiting longer regardless of how much the price has gone down further, so there is no real benefit for them at all. Strike on the right moment while you can, that's the most important thing.

If you are holding BTC then you can buy good altcoins whole they are so cheap and available at discounted rates. Once, Bitcoin rises to 12-13k region altcoins will start pumping and then you will have huge returns. Bitcoin is almost done falling and so altcoins should also rise with rise of Bitcoin.

Agreed being on a panic state right now is really not a good idea as you will only experience losing money whoch is really a wrong move. Buying or adding more cryptocurrencies mow to your portfolio is a good move. So the bottom line is you eother hold or add more as selling at a loss is never an option. Obviously people are right now staying away from crypto that is why the prices are going down after it calmed up then prices will start to recover.

I think it's the perfect time for buying altcoins , this is the time when every tokens reach their lowest price so if you want to get profit from this opportunity just start buying the coins that you already picked for investment days before because with no doubt they will rise again at their level before crash and maybe it rise much more than ever . For me I was just waiting for this moment from quit a period now and I just started investing my money since yesterday . But just a reminder do your research before investing in some coins , get to their website see their white paper  , their road map and you will find your best investment . You already saw the bitconnect big scam so be careful where you are investing your money . And good luck

Tell me about it. All this people acting shock of what is happening are either haters or amateurs. These newbies don't know what is happening that is why they are telling that its the end of the cryptocurrency market, they won't even be in that state of mind if they only have a back up plan which they don't. As trader you must remain calm as bad decisions are made when you are in a state of panic.  This bloodbath is nothing as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies can survive it and hopefully re-test the all time high.

Too far from thinking this is the end of crypto world. Still they have values that can consider as decent one. Just let the bloodbath happened to see how far the support for crypto is. In term of bitcoin, $10,000 is just a dream price back then so even after we came back at that level today, still it's a decent value. For how far it will goes down, then let's just watch.

I will hodl all my hold coins since it's not a wise way for me to dump coins during the red days. Well part of the risks so chances of getting more low value instead is possible but hey this is how crypto holding works so definitely I will take the risks as it is worth to give this a shot.

They say that the best deals are done buying when there is blood in the streets... Moreover, there is not only blood in the streets now, but also a lot of flying red dildos with a GPS tracker for the investors' backdoors, making the whole process even more painful. In such situations you don't need only strong hands, but also a tight and well protected buttock.

A lot of people here believed that it was normal a 2000% growth in a year without any fall, and that this growth never stopped...
Well, they was wrong: like it or not, currencies have cycles.
And don't forget, on yearly base bitcoin price is ten times more the one year ago.

Happy to see the rebound on Cryptos. Hopefully it will continue and break the down trend of the past few days.

In the mean time, I grabbed 200 shares of BLOK the new ETF of blockchain companies, that began on Nasdaq today. On first day more that 1 million shares volume.
There is another one that also started today and its ticker is BLCN
Long term low volatility investment, to complement investments on blockchain technology.
BLOK is actively traded, BLCN track an index of stocks.

Good luck everyone!

This is a sign of that we have to be aware for that this is possible that might happen yes of course that we see that this is are on red for but as soon as possible everything may comeback very soon.
Coming to an end of cryptoworld is possible but not would be happening on these young years of it. Theres soo much space to develop even more further and talking on ending is not possible as of these days. Price corrections, dip of prices are normal which we should really be aware of in the very first place. For now instead of worrying too much its much better to do shopping into those alts which do have potential even on bitcoin.

My altcoins are now moving and turning into green. Bitcoin is also slowly recovering. Do you think it is now the end of the current bloodbath or we should expect another dip? I hope that there's no more FUD about crypto currencies in the meantime so that we can see a green portfolio again.

It should not take longer to recover the market but it has created panic in investors and traders. The traders know how to control emotions, only can survive in Crypto Bloodbath scenario. BTC is like King of Crypto. Even King is injured now a days.

When bitcoin market value hit 17000$ mark I already decided to withdraw all the bitcoin I have, and luckily that was a good decision. I already expected this to happen, for every sudden pump there will be sudden dump. And I see that coming, I dont feel bother to what happening now. I still have my trust with bitcoin in fact, I bought big volume yesterday (which  actually the lowest price hit.) , this time bitcoin is niw having a rebound.

Just like what happened before, Im still hopeful and expecting that its price will double and surpass the highest price. There is no denying that Im worried and scared to the current situation. But I have to risk thus time, I can afford to lose this time but still hopeful that bitcoin will really regain it growth.

It's so normal. Bitcoin needs some correction to its price. Also because the market is down because of FUD. There are many news about bitcoin, that's why some weak hands are selling their bitcoin. And buying in the top of price. So very sad about that.

the price is completing ascending correction $11 800 and stands at a crossroads. Steady signal up with a breakdown of $12, 000 gives hope for a raise to $15 000. But the script with one more push down to $8 600 more likely: the major players need to make sure that everyone who wanted to get rid of the cue, it did, and for that we need another wave of panic.

The crypto market is now 90% in the green which is a good sign that crypto users have regained their confidence after a scare of a possible crash which was driven by regulation fears in the Asian market but i dont think it has recovered fully hoping we can go over 15000 before the end of the month

At least you admit that you are worried in this last 2 days of crypto bloodbath  ;D. And congratulations for making a bold move not to sell but hold on your bitcoin like is your only savior. The rumors came from South Korean government. I'm sure that you also learn some valuable points here. There are a lot of FUD that will be coming our way, there will be a lot of panic selling. However, you should hold because in the long run, bitcoin will recover.

And since both markets are green, you can tap yourself at the back in making the correction decision this time. There are lot of newcomers who is the opposite of what you shown, then see the price going down, they panic and then they sold everything. And then the market has rebounded, I'm sure they regretting to sold their coins at a cheap price.

It's interesting how reactive is the cryptomarkets: almost every one here is a newbie, and it's very sensible to manipulative rumors.
This was a planned bloodbath: whales start rumors, weak hands panic and sell, whales buy cheap, weak hands lose money, whales make big profit.
Nothing new.

Of course such a radical bloodbath can not be sustained for so long, however I believe that the consequences of this "massacre" will be resented for quite some time before the distrust that has been generated by the high volatility of this market. For which I believe that the market will remain in a bearish trend for several days, although with less intensity.

Yes. The newbies thought that once they invested in Bitcoin or crypto currencies, it will make them rich after a few days or weeks. The worst part of it is that they invested during the hype. Once they saw some losses on their portfolio, they will accuse Bitcoin as scam.

This happening has been predicted by many analyst because of the very short span bitcoin price sky-rocketed,that a major price correction is inevitable. Analyst predicted a range of 7k-8k bitcoin price or lower, so let's hope it's the real deal and not a prep for the big one anyway,a correction like this is healthy for the market in the long run.At the moment, market is bouncing back, almost all coins in green marks, a good sign indeed.Let's hope that the bloodbsth is over, and lesson learn from those who panic sell and for those who hodl....keep hodling.

For first it's seems so strange for me, but read some trader prediction for Bitcoin is always happen every year on January and february the price down and will recovery on next month and get next all time high.
Get used to it , crypto market is full of risk . Which means the possibility to get super huge profit is there.
People don't want to sacrifice to have a bad moment before they could receive a sweet unexpected winning.
That's crypto where patience, waiting on the drop is really being  tested , try to relax!
The point is you need to have some estimations on how the market run whether it will stay crashing for long or just for a while to move up back.
At least when you have a prediction , you will know what to do next and you won't regret it.
For now it looks like a temporary crash , once people feel confident to buy back what they have lost the recovery could be run faster.

Now is the best time for buy back, bitcoin price reaches below $10000 is a good time to collect more and hold till ot reach 20k again, as well in top alts, there are plenty of alts now especially 2 days ago that almost hit their bottom, when we do see potential for such project or cpin, buying it now is a great opportunity.

It looks bullish but actually it will remain the same get stuck at the level of $11k to $12k to get drop again untill 28th of january.

Thats what makes crypto market is to unpredictable but somehow those fundamentals can really help us to make such decisions and its much better than on making orders on random basis. For now bitcoin had break the resistance for now we can assume that this is the beginning of bullish trend but well chances of pullbacks would be always there but we wont really even see those 9k price which we have been seeing on last few weeks. Forum account rank doesn't mean anything nowadays. Acounts get bought and sold every day, and it's a damn shame (not saying OP's account fits in that category). I have seen legendary members talking pure nonsense for quite a while now, so I'm not shocked to see high ranked members not being very knowledgeable. On the other hand, we have to take into consideration that not everyone is a trader following the market. In that way, OP's question seems fairly relevant given what has happened, except for the fact that he's talking about it potentially being the end of the crypto world. If I read that, it directly shows that he doesn't know what crypto really is....

not new, we all see bloodbath every now and then almost crypto currencies are dependent or connected to bitcoin price, as bitcoin price decrease expect a correction to almost Alts , though some good coin remain strong and steady but the volatility really is high in this league. Nothing to worry though, as this kind of scenario can be encountered any time of the year.

TOO much fud in mainstream media and the U.S markets are buying into that FUD of crypto doom and gloom. 20 billion just got wiped off CMC when the U.S peeps woke up today so that's not really very good when they are helping to tank everything. Problem is they all just short everythign for Tether and want to tank all the coins and Bitcoin right down but they are doing damage to the confidence in the markets and if it crashes hard, it might just not bring the confidence level back to what it was before this mass dumping started a week or so ago.

Well, many people choose to see the black side, but I think they are losing their point. Let’s see the bright side: a year ago the price of Bitcoin was $900, Ethereum cost $10, and Bitcoin Cash didn’t even exist…

Look at the present: now, BTC is around $10,000, and Ether more or less $1,000, we now have Bitcoin Cash, which price goes around $1,600!!!
Yes, Crypto has been falling a bit from the last weeks, but just analyze where they are now!!
I think this is wise to stay on earth and do not lose the point: the cryptocurrencies are just babies, recently born, and they have a bright way ahead.

Not so sure about that. Analysts expect one more dive of BTC towards the 8000$ area, which would most likely trigger another selloff of altcoins. I guess we will find out this week, not later.

Yes, there're some 'experts' saying that bitcoin could dive further south, in the range of $7500-$8K. I guess, only time can tell, prepare ourselves for the worst, either you bail out early or stick to the market as long as you can. Your call.

The crypto market are currently all in red. It seems that there is a bloodbath. How long do you think will it take and what do you think is the reason behind it? Is it just a massive price correction or is it the end for the crypto world? Just want to know your opinion about it.

Best time to buy when its all in red. Never forget, do the opposite of what your emotions tell you.

Never panic, taks every opportunity to hold and to buy more, it's nice seeing red when we are targetting some alts and it seems luck is with us when we can buy it at red. Do vuy now, since alts may arise anytime soon.

It seems that bloodbath is already at its end, even if you can see a lot of weak hands bodies on the battlefield.
It was just a result of a deliberate manipulation, made by big players, just to push out of the market small investors and to buy at low price.

Or it can go to the moon tomorrow. The market is so volatile right now that we can't say where the price could go. I don't have any problem with it going to 8K, another good time to buy at that low price. However, I can't what factors will make the price to go that low because we all know that everyone is waiting to get their hands once the price goes below $10K.

I wouldn't consider them experts. They are bankers trying to discredit what bitcoin has established. And they are not just stupid but very fearful because they are afraid that they will become obsolete when bitcoin takes over.

Bloodbaths suck but also give you the opportunity to buy cheaper. Bitcoin needs to settle back to 15k and consolidate there in order to remain bullish.

It's certain that, this is not the end. Reasons behind are always speculations. A lot of experienced people says that, these rise & falls happened many times previously. So there is no need to be pessimistic.
The key is hold & sell when you're not making loss. Buy more when price is low to minimise your risk.

That January for you and am certain it will surely bounce back....

My eye on Arcblock which was born for blockchain. A new technology we all needed at the moment and already partners with etherdelta

Ignore self claimed analysts. Their opinion means absolutely nothing since they are justing riding the waves of this market. The far majority of them are just playing a guessing game, and that's really it.

If the price moves down, they expect it to go down further, and if the price moves up, they expect a further increase. What is that for logic? I can come up with that same nonsense. Does that make me an analyst as well?

Do your own market research, and don't look at what others are saying. This market is so unpredictable, that even long time traders face difficulties with opening and closing their positions at the right moment.

Some analysts also speak about the 4000-5000$ level, a dive which would match the price pattern of 2014... THAT would be the worst scenario - let's hope it would stop in the 8000$ area though.
