I realize no one knows when the drop will level off. Im wondering though since i just bought a bunch more yesterday and lost a bunch more by today (lol never spend more than you can afford to lose) when do you foresee this leveling off and time to buy other currencies? Or how would you judge when the right time to buy is besides checking the mkt hourly and driving your self nuts? Id buy more today if i see a shift towards a leveling off however when i see 10-40% drops daily id like to mitigate losing hundreds of dollars per coin in a day when I buy more of them to hold onto.

PS what the hell us Nubbits NBT? the only one that seems to be doing well yet i something tells me act with caution when all the main players are dropping like flies and this ones up 25%. Im not qualified to say if its a good buy or not im just curious what it is?

No one knows when will it stop dropping and rise again. but i think now it's quite low enough to buy in. what i do is i buy in some and just hold.

you have to just buy the your low point because no one can tell u when it's gonna stop and start rising.

Yes Now price is dropping continuously and i think that you have the best opportunity to buy some the decent coins now. If you invest now then you will definitely going to have good profit when the prices of altcoins will be high. Just do it.

It is always good to invest in some coins or tokens when they are bleeding very hard. I always try to buy the most stuff when all the people call the end of crypto soon! Buy low and sell high while the people are calling the ultra moon!

Whole crypto market is falling in price last days. Some people see it as a loose of money, but from my point of view I see this as another chance to gain some more. If we focuse at one coin. In this case I will choose @Viberate - VIB.

Now is the time to buy

I am currently buying.  Buy when you feel the price you are paying for the coin/token is a good deal.  It is very difficult to predict the bottoms and tops in the cryptocurrency market.  It could easily reverse the trend immediately and turn green.  Just invest with funds you do not need and you should be ok. 

Yes nobody knows when the market will be normal again. In my opinion time is perfect to buy coins again market already dropped too much. I am not expecting much more drop now market will slowly slowly bounce back soon it seems to me. I think for long term investment its the right time to get in because we never know when market will suddenly move up again.

i think any time under 11k is a good time to buy, if you think about it, most coins have dipped past half their ATH... bitcoin at 10 k is half its all time high, so i dont think it should go lower however we are in crypto so anything can happen!

10-11k for btc is convenient price to buy for me. I wouldn’t doubt. On the other hand i bought good amount of Stratis at 10 $, so i’m happy  :D Idc if it goes down or up from now coz i’ll just wait.

Right time to buy is when bitcoin will be stable, right now btc is not stable its very flexible. Bitcoin will be stable when is gonna reach 20-30k dollar i think, when movemnt will start to 20k all altcoins will be red so this is best time to invest.

Yes, now is a good time to buy, but you can wait a little longer, until everything falls even lower. Although I would not do this, because everything can suddenly start to grow.

Yes it might be the right time to buy altcoins. I would suggest you to wait for a little time and observe the prices of altcoins you want to invest in currently and if it's price drop has slowed/stopped you should invest at that time. Even if it falls it will regain though and I don't think it might fall to much lower value as alot of altcoins have already had a considerable amount of price drop. So I don't think there is much risk currently.

Buy when you start to see signs of recovery. That is when you start seeing green bars very common in the market. But you have to be very observant and ready to take action, else you miss the low. I think that's the only I can say for now.

Im buying now and cant see it being a wrong decision in the long run. The market as started to stabilize and rebound slightly but in many cases in traditional investing, when you think the end of the tunnel is near it take one last turn.. I think the question people really need to ask right now is whether or not you think almost everything will stabilize at half of what they just were, or is it more likely that they will bounce back up to where they were. Thats a good move buying more alts in a bleeding market,i personally does that everytime the market crashes for me thats the best time to buy cheap solid alts.

Every coin is starting going up. We can buy any coin and it will rise.

The downtrend that were seeing in the crypto market today should give an opportunity for investments, in a bearish market, my strategy is to invest in a gradual manner, we really do not know when will the price level, but we do know that a reverse trend is forthcoming, that is why I keep investing no matter the current price, If the value of coin drop after my investment, then that's fine, I invest again. Well, for me in response to the subject creator, this is the right  time to buy bitcoin and altcoin due to it's price in the market that has a very low value when you have a lot of money to invest in this coin. There is nothing more time to buy because this is the perfect season were all of coins are dropping.

Actually this is the right time to buy because after every drop down of some altcoins here or bitcoin it will grow a lot like june to july and august to september or after china ban some exchanger their always a grow so fast also but i don't know the future so i think that base only in history here and if you base in their future plan of any coins still it will grow up in no time.

if you have a lot of capital, just buy it. but you still have to be careful, because the bitcoin value is not necessarily up in the near future, it could be more drop. it is already an investment risk in crypto.

It is really tough to predict when is the best time to buy bitcoin or altcoins in the crypto-currencies trading market, but usually after a few rounds of massive negative news about crypto-currencies starts to appear online or social media, the prices will tend to drop quite a lot and that is the time for some brave traders to pick up some cheap crypto-currencies on the trading market.

All cryptocurrencies has clearly been down for some time but I believe price rates are getting back to normal or even higher a week or month from now. The right timing is when you already afford to buy. Don't wait for a perfect opportunity.

If you are still planning on buying now, you should do it today. The market is already recovering from the big crash of the past few days, do if you invest now you will most likely see a +30% really quickly.

Ive been buying the last 2-3 days since the drop. i was just curious what everyone else was going after or interested in besides the somewhat obvious answer of ETH/BTC. I bought XLM, ETH, LTC. I dumped off a little ripple because i had a bunch of them and didn't really care the price drop since they were so cheap when i bought and it was maybe $150 worth to buy some really cheap others. im just trying to remember what else. I put the bulk of my purchases into the ones listed above right now while leaving the other ones i own alone. i wasn't worried, its not going away. Similar to fighting the war on drugs. Thats working real well. People want what they cant have and dont like being told what they can and can not do to them selves or with their possessions....at least thats my feelings toward prohibition of anything. sorry, end rant.

There ain't a definition of "when to buy" whatever the price is , the strategy tho is the same for whether bitcoin is at a high or a low value and you'll be looking for how much can it rise after i buy it to make profit in the shortest time possible , and this os much easier to know than when will bitcoin fall .
When you hear about some market, company or country legalizing bitcoin you should know that it'll certainly get a huge amount pumped in it so id you buy instantly you'll see an increase shortly after , only then you can sell and wait for it to endure another dip to repeat the process .
This isn't a 100% winning strategy since everything could go the opposite of what you expect , but with a bit of luck you'll be making money easily and regularly due to the continuous fluctuations .

There's no need to looking time when they buy bitcoin or altcoins, because anytime is the perfect time to buy. Especially now if you can't notice value of bitcoin are starting to fall down and going into deep, so just grab the chance to buy a lot of stocks of this coin. Because if this coin are starting to grow up, I'm sure no one can stopped them. I believe that when bitcoin wake up it was increasing up to the moon. I know it is hard to believe but as basis last year after 1st quarter bitcoin was starting to make noise.

Who can predict that their value are reach the $20,000, it was too close I'm sure this year they reach it or else above that amount. Hopefully no can withdraw instead hold it until it happen.

It hard to determine when is best to buy. We often hear 'buy the deep' how do you identify the deep, when sometimes where you think is the deep goes deeper. Too many manipulations in the market. How i wish manupulaions can be curb but it is so unfortunate i dont think it can be curb.

Your post is confusing. I could hardly find your main point. But of course the right time to buy is the time when the prices are low, that means if there is a drop in prices. Now, the situation may either be interpreted as a good or a bad sign. If you want to buy your favorite coins at a cheap price and yet you are easily getting emotional every time you see red all over, then perhaps you need to make up your mind first if this thing called crypto investment is really for you.

The best time to buy was a few days ago, when bitcoin fell to 9000, it was better than the moment! Now the market is stabilizing and will go up.

I had already done what everyone said and bought up a bunch of different ones to diversify a little and put more into the ones that appeaer to be safest for the long term. im not looking to day trade. I guess i should have asked when do you (the members) feel its the right time to buy? I was just curious everyone's position on the best time to buy though i know its near impossible to predict such a thing as the right time to buy.

I'm sure this time is the right time to buy, bitcoin price will never fall again under $10k, and I believe after bitcoin reach ATH in the range of $18k in the year of 2017, chances are bitcoin price to back rise higher in the year of 2018 was very big.
 

Investing in coins doesn't mean that you just put money into it then wait to make money. Not all coins are the same, you have to research the price history before investing into it -there is no correct time.

I'd also like to say that now would be the time to purchase the coin because the price is beginning to prep for the pump.

You never know when the price stops falling.
You can buy the coins you want with your available money at once, or (as I do) divide your money in 3 - 4 parts and start buying using every time one part of them. I think it is called dollar-cost averaging.
This strategy is a way to avoid the volatility of the market because you are averaging prices over time.
You took a good desision buying at the dips, you'll never make money just sitting on the sidelines

The best time to buy again is when the reversal of trend start. As of the moment We don't know when the drop is going to stop. By the key thing here is 1 week of bullish market maybe We can say it safe to start to reinvest in crypto.

Recently, ETH comes down and goes up again and again. My personal suggestions are to buy ETH when its price is below 1.1k and sell it when it is up to 1.4k. Do this again and again, meanwhile, if you see the price increases. Please add 100 dollars on your low end and high end and then do the same way.

Indeed. At the moment there is not a clear signla. It can increase to 13k but also fall to 8k. Stabilizaion will only occur if BTC rises again to 12k and stays above this level. ATM people are nervous.

I think when bitcoin dropped on 10k, you have to buy altcoins. I always see that %90 of altcoins move together with bitcoin. There are a lot of people who gave me their money to buy btc or eth. When i see the coins start to bleeding and dropped 20% i will buy some for them.

The simple answer is on the bottom))) I have a pretty good experience in trading but sometimes it doesn't help to determine the exact time to get in. All I can say is that now is a very good entry point. But still there is a chance that BTC will drop to 7.5-8.5k.

I think now is the right time to buy more bitcoin to get more profit in holding it and sell it when it reaches it again its highest price that you can earn double of what you buy that's also what I'm doing right now buying more bitcoin while it has a low price then holding it and I think also in investing you must trust your campaign you invest with your bitcoin maybe you can also earn there a big amount of bitcoin.

I'd probably wait a few more days before buying. Whales are gonna have a second round of dumping to suppress prices, since the next set of btc futures contracts expires this week. A second wave is definitely coming.

All alts especially bitcoin right now is up for buying. It is really dipping so hard right now and I can say that this would be the last time we could see these prices, especially for bitcoin and eth. Right now, it is very recommendable to buy strong alts such as NEO, Eth, XVG and many more and that is dependent on your choice. I tend to chose sometimes my favorite alts.

Wait and see is the right decision if you want to buy when the price is dropping but it still hard to buy at the exact bottom so as long as the price is quite cheap i don't mind buying it as it will recover and i will already in profit. I always set stop losses so if the price go down i have the opportunity to buy back the coin cheaper.
