They say its a good time to buy but personally I'm looking forward to getting out of crypto. I might miss out on more gains but at least I already did well during the bull runs.

Can you see that bitcoin will go down even deeper? If you think it will then wait for it. However, you need to understand how volatile the market is, so its 50/50 that it will recover or goes down a little further. If I where in your shoes, I will test and buy bitcoin today and then see what happens, if it goes down, then buy more. If the price suddenly jumps to a level were you can't buy, then wait.

That's why you will only hear people saying that there's no perfect time to buy bitcoin. Of course its better to get while it's cheap, but if you have more money to shop for more bitcoin, don't wait, jump in before this perfect chance will soon closes its door.

Today is a better price than you would have gotten 2-3 days ago but I am not convinced this is the end of the dump. It has dumped 400 million and the end should be near but markets don't give a flying shit what you think therefore it is best to be prepared for both scenarios.

Ofcourse just today I was talking to some people who said that those who despaired that BTC took a flight to 19k without them have a chance to still catch it at 9K. Same goes for alts too. Ether is down by roughly 50% from its All time high and same is teh case with other coins too. So definitely you can try your luck at this time if you are holding fiat. But surely it wouldn't be a wise option to sell any alts at loss to buy others.

Its your money which its your decision on when to jump in but all of us do having the same questions on mind if this is the best time to jump in or buy even more since we are already on the dips. For now on current situation I'm still waiting on the possible bottom price either on bitcoin or on altcoins which I do have some basis on my own seeing charts using technical analysis -I might be wrong but I would still wait a little further before I do get in.

There are a lot of other topics as this topic and in my opinion the current price is reasonable to invest. Prices may continue to fall but not too much so that we can worry. But prices may not drop further. So I think you should invest now.

Very true, never ask for strangers opinion over the internet. If he asks us we will tell him to buy but since we don't know if dip is over, it's hard to predict the market, well we can tell him only to get in and buy now. If he buys he still makes some low buywall which is great for us who have btcs...

Best thing is when on forum or some online chat or whatever when people start to tell you to buy coin that they are holding and to cause hype because they earn out of that if you jump in and maybe tell others. This is all pure speculation at this point you never can be sure.

It's a million dollar question buddy. :) I believe in bitcoin price will go up, may be 70-80k dollars in next summer's end. So I bought a new part about 1 BTC in 12k dollars. And it dropped down. If you are in for the long haul, and if you really believe in the fundamental concept that the world in its present state NEEDS distributed currencies that are not centrally regulated and controlled, but are managed by in a distributed way, and if you believe in the fundamental strength of the technology, then I can't see how this could be a bad time to invest.  Definitely a better time than a few days ago.

People are so caught up in making a quick buck and have so little patience.  What I learned in futures trading was that the professionals bide their time, wait and watch and often buy on the latter part of a downslope. If you believe in the cyclical nature of markets (although it would be nice if the cycles were a bit smoother in this asset class!) then buy some now ... if it goes down a bit more .. buy some more.

I would have loved to increase my holdings today but unfortunately I was stuck waiting for more funds to arrive. Hopefully I can catch another dip.

This was just a manipulation strategy to make the price go down and buy more, how many times have we seen that in here? A lot. I know how this works now, and this was just another opportunity to buy at a cheaper rate,
and of course, to make much more money in a short period of time, of course that it was another chance to jump on it.

as you can clearly see now, everything dropped hard. most altcoins dropped more than 30% and they all recovered but most of them recovered a tiny bit of their price. which means you are in profit ONLY if you bought at the very bottom which is impossible to do! and you are in a loss if you bought on the way down because the recovery for majority of coins were not enough.

with that said there were a couple of coins that had a bigger drop and a bigger recovery like ripple and Tron for example. you could technically buy these and make a bigger profit.

but generally speaking at times like past 2 days where bitcoin is dropping and altcoins are following it hard to the ground, the best choice in my opinion is to buy bitcoin itself because it will have the biggest recovery and also it will surely have "a" recovery in long term back to any price you bought at. but not altcoins.

Of course that it is, and you are still on time to keep buying more to grow your money in a short period of time. But do not buy bitcoin, just buy other cryptos and you will see that you can make much more money fastly than if you invest it all on bitcoins.

Everything would have been in your favour and you could have earned more than 20% by investing into minimum 2-3 coins. This is however is not the end of this coin mania but start of the new era. The year 2018 is already stated as year of alt coins and on top of that year of ETHEREUM. So you may wish to invest into that try your luck this year with ETH .:-)

You can actually wait for some more good dips but you can now invest 50% of your investment shares into the coins and wait more for a good dip and then invest some more into them. For me yes it is best chance and I don't wanna miss it the way I did last year. The current year looks great for the new opportunities and I'm trying to make good portfolio of altcoins by taking notes from my experienced friends and family in the crypto. I had made some huge profit from the appreciation of BTC since the last few months. I had sold some portion of them since then. Starting this year, BTC is seen to go down, probably due to many people want to dispose or take profit from their coins.

My best bet right now is to put all of my available BTC in Forex platform, and do small profitable trades to balance the downtrend of the BTC value. I think BTC will appreciate again in few months once people start buying again.

I think you should go for it! Bitcoin dumps are not something we’ve never heard of and I’m pretty sure it will make its recovery or even double the previous ATH sooner than what we expect. I am still waiting for it to hit rock bottom, I might be wrong though.

In my own opinion I think yes it is. I think it would be the very best chance to dive in by now because there are really so many great coins out there that might increase in couple of weeks or months during this dip. Opportunity will really knock just once so if you have money right now for investing then it would be good to buy some dips especially to altcoins that under a single or double digit dollar price. But if for longer term then go to bitcoin there are many events that might happen in couple of days we may not know that would skyrocket the price again. Bitcoin will always be the King.

It is always better to move forward always, yes go and get a chance to know other coins, but still prioritize bitcoin as it will make our life easier and profitable, there are coins that are just profitable at the beginning only, so it is okay to explore for as long as you will monitor your investement.

I would say yes, now could be a great time to "Ride the wave". You know how trading work. The idea is to buy cheap and sell after get profit.

True. That statement of yours about being greedy is so true. I, myself, had been very greedy to the point that I want to invest my all to it especially when it reached its peak last year. I am glad, though, that I cash out every so often this time around even if after cashing out, I see its value slightly or significantly increasing. It was a great time to enter when it was all dumped in red , I base my winnings on the bitc value, I tend to get more btc value and then I sell of, so to do so , I find a coin that is down in usd and btc together relatively, and buy in that coin, the time to go in is just relative to the time you want to go out of and percentage you're looking for.

Technically and on the daily chart of BTC, it still has not produced higher highs yet. The 1hr and 4hr charts are in an uptrend with higher highs and lows.

Yes, the market is trending down but I don't think there is any strong bullish confirmation candlestick pattern seen so that we can plan our buy trades according to that. Even though the market is down I will wait for a bullish pattern to appear by this week so that I can take the pattern as a confirmation signal to enter on my positions. I think it will rise by midyear.

Right now things seem to be looking good for bitcoin. The $10.000 level didn't break, and we finally broke the $12.000 resistance. We can easily see that on the 4h time frame. Bitcoin kept touching that level, and kept getting rejected, but we are finally close to $13.000. We will have a lot of resistance of course, and this will probably take a few days, but if we manage to get to $14.000 again, I think we will then be on full recovery and probably heading to ath again.

Cheap coin ( down market ) not always become good indicator to buy, sometimes we need to hold or sell it ( replace it become another coin ). What I'm try to say is, what your analyze say when this situation happen, meaning you should have stop loss. Most people say will say to buy but we need to analyze again where the price will go in long time period ( week - month - year ). From there we can decides the best action to keep get profit but also protection asset from loss. Think again and see you next time bro.

i think its time to buy now while the price is fluctuating to not caught in buying cause sometimes it pumping gradually maybe it will continue to surge after this fluctuation. And i think it will never collapse on this time.

I agree. It pays to enter when the market is down. By doing so, you can get more bang for your buck, especially if you have a big capital to use. The more coins you can get, the better capacity you have to get good trades and the more value and profit you can have for a return. However, since the market has not recuperated yet, some would even say that it would be better to wait a bit until the lowest value may be reached, so that the investment would be more gainful. It's up to you, in the end.

Last year was different so we don't know if we can replicate all the madness of 2017 specially December. Right now we can't even more a inch higher that $11K so its a tough one for this year. Be on the sideline and observe how bad this crypto can get and have experience how it works before jumping into it. Agreed! even the dip we ended up having early this year is far more expensive than what we had early last year. So, at the end, it shows that the market is always good to buy when it is at dip and ready for a good time ahead. We cannot always time the market or expect it to give us exactly what we need, but one thing is that the market will always recover and end up giving better than what was available even before.

Just think of it this way, every time the price falls, it is time to get in. BUT do not think you necessarily earn profits out of it. In my years with Bitcoin, good price to me takes time. Sometimes I get lucky I get return on investment in just about two weeks. However, you have to bear in mind that there are varying circumstances to which we should act on differently. Just make sure you have a record of your investments, taking into utmost consideration the inflation rate of the country you are in. This way, you are able to assess if you are really earning, just break even, or losing. The 'chance' you are saying here gives you 50-50 chance of winning or losing. It is not a guarantee that you earn outright. 

But by waiting he might miss the right moment to buy, as the price can rise really fast. I think it depends if he's more into HODLing or trading. If he wants to HODL more, then it doesn't really matter if he will buy at 9000$ or 10000$, while if he wants to trade that he should risk and wait for even lower price to buy.

it's better late than never so if we have a good chance to buy then we should buy and don't think too much about the risk because if we buy at any price, we still have the same risk. just analyze first before you buy and then make an order buy and don't buy instant because it could help you if the price is down again. but if after you buy, the price could jump higher then don't wait for the price to increase more because the chance is not too big and the price can get down again to make a good decision to sell the bitcoin.

Now is the time to jump in it is still relatively below the price. The actual price for bitcoin if we do the calcullation with its difficulty and power consumption for mining. Btc price will be arround $9k and ethereum price is arround $900. Its now financial advice its just my calculation. Blockchain is the futures so we need time to be mass adopted but now is not too late to inveat in it.
