the best thing will probably be to get a lightweight live linux and run the miner through that, or install it on your USB-Stick so it doesnt reset everytime you boot it greetings mate Title: Re: Mining through VMware? Just wondering... Although i have never tried it, I dont see why it wouldnt work with usb hardware (like usb erupters). Even a rasberry Pi is enough to run the mining software. and i must say the performance loss was minimal . we used a i-7 core with virtualisation options Gpu mining in our case was a no no because vmware server does not support more than 32mb of video memory for Ati/Amd cards. I personally think this will lead to a huge performance impact. as virtualisation for videocards is not fully developed/supported yet. Title: Re: Mining through VMware?
