There are so many options for Amazon. Would be nice to see them accept Bitcoin, but we are still a bit away. Cryptocurrency is just getting into a more popular phase, we have to be at least 5 years out of the way.

It would be amazing if they were to do something like this in the near future. But I'm not going to hold my breath on it. I think they would possibly wait until there is more regulations on bitcoin from the government before entering the game in such a big way. I think we are not yet ready for day to day usage of cryotocurrency still bitcoin fee is high and if more people may come then again the price will peak out and again ae need to wait for days to transaction get confirmed.

Hype can actually pump the price rather than actual official news, if this will happen than yes crypto market will be more stabilized and we might not see huge dump just because of one single fud in future.

Steam like platform have already stopped accepting bitcoin payments because of high fee, which is actually bad for whole crypto. So still many merchants are postponing their statement regarding bitcoin as payment option.

Just like other news before that says that amazon will consider accepting Bitcoin/cryptocurrencies as mean of payments, we are still not sure if this will really happen really very soon until amazon announce it. But I think there is huge possibilities that they will, because they continue to register new domain related to cryptocurrency but this could also mean something, the securing of those domain can also mean that they just want to protect their name and prevent other people from using it. I would like to hear from amazon on what are they planning to do with does domain names. This will hit the whole cryptocurrency market if this happen.

If this is true and will be realized (as this is barely considered as speculation), this will bring a big impact to cryptocurrencies. This is all we are waiting -  the adaption of cryptocurrencies as we can't fully use it to buy goods/services for now. Amazon is a very good start to it.

One of the richest man in the world is creating a crypto? I mean his net worth will be even bigger than ever. But I should say that Joining the hype is totally worth it. I'm just wondering if they will create a bounty for it.

I do not think it will be such a situation in the next 6 months or 1 year. this may change with new laws that may be made later. but this does not mean that the end is nearing the end. The speed of acceleration slows down. it will not be our life anymore.

For this implementation, you need a crypto currency with low volatility. So far, none of the existing coins is suitable for this, probably because Amazon decided to create its own.

I think that this is just jumping to conclusion. Amazon just bought 3 domains related to crypto but this doesent means that they will get into the boat. Maybe they are are trying to protect theyre name against scams that could use them to convince people to buy thinking they are on a amazon domain.
I now that this would be an amaizing news but they just announced that they have no intention in gheting into crypto because there in no demand. Believe me, when they would announce something like that it would be huge news and not just a speculation.

Amazon accepting bitcoin does not by default translate to people accepting bitcoin neither will Iit mean that the FUD will stop rather it might even give them more way to talk and poke into the affairs of Amazon more than before. Aside that too, the full adoption might not just turn out to be massive because I for an individual would not buy anything on Amazon to pay with bitcoin rather I would convert to fiat then buy.

The end is NOT near yet. Rumours like Amazon joining the cryptocurrency space might  create some hope, but it's just rumours. Bitcoin could decline some more to maybe 8K. That would be the turning point, investors will start buying again and there will be a new price rise. That would be the end of the low prices. It will be quite interesting to see Amazon accepting cryptocurrencies. I can't wait to see which one will be accepted. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Bitcoin (after Lightning Network becomes easier to use) and Ethereum which is also one of the most know cryptocurrencies. If Amazon adapts cryptocurrencies then eBay won't have any other choice. Many people will probably use Amazon mostly to order more mining equipment e.g. PCIe risers, graphics card, PSUs etc.

Of course, this is expected from Amazon. No matter how they try to downplay cryptocurrency , they can't deny the fact that crypto is getting huge adoption and also there are other players who are going to be huge  competition like Storiqa and Cbay

There is always a time for one to buy crypto currency but if what you are speculating come to fulfilment only then there will be no time to buy as low as the current market value of Bitcoin and not the other way the wau you put it.    You are right! But what makes a currency stable? I am a bit old so I searched a bit and I found something
great, that I need to share with you. What makes a currency stable:
-it should be a global reserve currency (that is a strong sign of stability because many countries would need it)
-its liquidity should be high
-it should have a strong demand
-its country (issuer) should have a strong economy
-it should be linked to gold (or something valuable)
   I think that some crypto-currencies can fulfill this demands in the future. Amazon alone
fulfilling more then half, they can make their own alt-coin and they can control the price.

I think more and more renowed companies will get into crypto's. At least to be talked about and profit from the actual hype. Look at Kodak, the annoucement of launching a Coin + the miner raise the shares value almost instantly

I think it is too early to say if Amazon will accept cryptocurrencies. But yes, if it does that, no one is stopping cryptos to become more valuable, more mainstream. Right now some companies accept Bitcoin, but the craze is not enough as Bitcoins are damn slow for transactions. But if Amazon adopts coins like Litecoin, Steem etc. then it can certainly provide quick crypto transactions to its customers.

Absolutely any news is poured into this market. Both good and bad. I do not think that in February Amazon will take some action. I think it's too early to talk about it. What we are waiting for now is the regulation, although a good news with crypto adoption by a large retail even though still in need of regulation role for the Bitcoin transaction self. Currently some countries restricted transactions using bitcoin but they still not close the exchanges, seems they considering it for gaining big tax from it. Yes, whenever big companies deciding to start adopting crypto currency payments then we can expect big leap for crypto currency market levels. But that could not be an end for cheaper crypto currencies because these markets are highly known for fluctuations hence anything may happen in near future for getting us another opportunity to buy for cheaper prices. You probably right. As long Bitcoin keep making slow transactions, Bitcoin will have a hard time getting accepted by the mainstream. That was the main reason why Steem kicked Bitcoin out as a payment plan. Hopefully, the lightening network make a difference in Bitcoin transactions speed.

This may not be possible. There are still lots of opportunities that bitcoin has. And with just a great dump for the two consecutive months of the value of the cryptoccurency may not result the end of the crytocurrencies. Cryptoccurency will reign the world. The crypto market is a newer emerging market and there is often fear that crypto will die because of excessive price increases and declines.  In fact, the market offers opportunities to make more money because it is so risky. Otherwise i would earn less.

Well it's not surprising that amazon is actually into bitcoin or crypto because amazon is an online retailer so it's normal that they support virtual currency and finally if this happens then it will really a blast in crypto community after all those bad news that make all cryptos price falling this news will finally turn the tables.

Amazon would make so much money launching their own, but how many of us would love to see them accept a large number of major cryptos. Just like Visa, Mastercard, American Express doesn't it bode well to give the consumer multiple options? Especially this early in adoption, they could make a killing collecting them now and having them worth XX times in 5 years.

Maybe even launch their own and offer a slight discount on items if paid through AmazonCredits. That way every digital payment consumer wins.

I mostly believe this is the year we are going to be seeing a whole lot of development for bitcoin, and I am sure this is the reason why the big guys tried as much as possible to drag down the market to be able to have a good position in the market as they see the big times coming and would rather prefer to stay on top having a full stake in the market, while waving off the weak hands. I think that the end is not as close as it seems, because there really is no end. After all, the same can be said about the financial system of money. It's also a bubble. But the end does not come. But it can come with crypto-currencies.

I think the main thing that is preventing some of these big companies to accept crypto is the issue of volatility, BTC has lost 50% of its price in 2 months, so that means those accepting BTC would have lost 50% of their revenue to this volatility, when we start having less volatility then more will start accepting it

I don't think you see Amazon picking up domains like amazoneuro.com or amazondollar.com to accept those currencies, it makes more sense for them to add something about it in the payment section of their website...

I think major companies will not launch their own coins until they have analyzed everything very thoroughly, and the market needs to become more stable as well. Why would Amazon accepts cryptocurrencies? If they create and regulate their own currency then it's not a problem but accepting Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies is very risky because of its volatility. Common! If I pay someone with Bitcoin and the next day it gets tanked so how is this beneficial for Amazon.

I believe is much possible for great enterprises like amazon to create its own crypto. Lets me explain: if amazon accepts BTC as payment, for sure it will be to earn money. But, if they created their own crypto and you can buy the “Amazon crypto” with BTC, then the prices should be much more stable inside the shop. For instance: you want to buy some shoes in the Amazon shop, and you want to pay with the amazon crypto, for it has some convenient advantages offered by the Amazon itself. Then, you will have to go to the Amazon exchanger (the only platform that gives you the chance to get some “amazon-crypto”) and buy the amazon crypto with your btc. I honestly respect what Jeff Bezos achieved in his company. I even read a book called "The Power of Starting Something Stupid" by Richie Norton, where the author shared to us about Jeff Bezos' journey in launching Amazon. He started Amazon in his garage, lots of struggles and circumstances, etc. At the end of the day, he is successful like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, etc.

You are in very accurately put everything on the shelves. Why would my business accept payments in a cryptocurrency if the price could fall by 70% tomorrow? If Amazon will in fact adopt with crypto then I suppose that's a good idea when it comes to the graph of crypto market will be raising, not lowering. However, I guess it will still not be enough for crypto to become a great investment system in the future, not unless no company or country will reject or ban crypto. Stop acting like a newbie in this forum and industry because cryptocurrency existed less than a decade and declining of Crypto is usual. I think you were totally wrong because at the moment price of every cryptocurrency on crypto market is still very cheap :). BTC price is $6500 and ETH price is only $300 :). I don't know how long this situation will last but I can ensure that at the end of this year BTC can't rise back to $20k and ETH price will be lower than $1k :).
