Some of them are for long term and some of them are for short term. And i have two coins for holding very very long term. I invested in them and forget about all. I hope one day they will surprise me. In addition to this ı have bitcoin for sure.

I am doing exactly the same right now, but the only problem is that most part of those altcoins are just shit coins, i think that i really need to clean up my entire portfolio, since it is a huge mess. My portfolio: -VEN -GVT -ICX Wanchain is also a very good project and on the moment it hits on exchanges less than $3 is a very good buy. As allways please do your own research. Therefore, there should not be more than 15-20 different coins in the portfolio.

Some of them are for longterm and others is for short term. Most of my altcoin that I have If I sell it I'll make a good profit but I decided to hold it more so I can get more profit and that's my favorite coin also. For my shorterm if I see I gain profit I sold it now to earn money so I can earn everyweek. For sure brcause they have a lot of coins upcoming in the market my collection of altcoin will increase because for sure if I see the potential I will buy that. For sure other trader have 50 altcoins plus so that's why they earn a lot of profit.

I hold little over 10 and it still seems too much and it's little difficult to keep up with all of them. I had little over 15 but I'm slowly cutting back as some of them offer same thing. Personally, I just have 3 alts like eth, pillar and monaco and of course bitcoin which a must in every traders portfolio. Yes, I am a long term holder (1-3 years). I will decide when to sell based on how my coins perform and if predictions show the coin increasing more in value. i use cointracker.info to keep track of my coins. The reason for many coins is I got into many of them at low cost, so all profit right now. I expect 5x-10x profit overall by end of 2018. Title: Re: How many altcoins do you hold? But i have one very strict rule - when the coin from the portfolio hits the 200-300% , i fix the 40-50% percent of holdings, so i get my investment and profit back and other part is like a prize, i can keep that very long already without the risks. I admit that my goal for BTC is a bit lower (20%) and frankly I haven't been able to maintain it...the temptation to buy alts recently is too much for me to resist. It will be easier once I reached my goal $$$$$$. :D As a testament to your wisdom, I've missed many good buying opportunities recently because I depleted my BTC holdings (as low as 2% :-[ ). Ultimate plan is to be around; 60% long term HODL, 25% mid-term and 15% short term (flip/play coins). |
