Any predictionist that predict bitcoin will bullish run up to 20k$ this year ? Year 2017 bitcoin hits 20k$ but dramatically down at 11k$ ! Looking for advice if it is good to invest in bitcoin or nahh ?

No one knows when bitcoin going to cross $20k, we can't predict. For now its in $11000+, hopefully it will continue to rise until it reaches $20k. But i think not this month.

if the bitcoin will continue to do this performance like now. the rising up. it is impossible that the bitcoin is run up to the 20,000$ in the midyear only. yeah we know that he bitcoin these past few weeks and months was not good the performance but as of last night the bitcoin show a good performance now. and i think this good show have a good impact to the new investor that want to invest the bitcoin.never stop believing in the bitcoin because we know that someday it might be the future money.

Last 30 Days the guy they call THE PROPHET hit the 3 big drops in value 1 or 2 days before they hit. He also hit a few big spikes in other coins.

He says short long term BTC going to $30k and $50k soon.

But his last warning has it dropping to $5k before it regains value.

So, near $5k. That's the buy, ride to $30k or $50k.

Overall, he's negative on Bitcoin and all Crypto since he says the future Google of crypto has yet to be build, it will take over $100 Billion to build it and market it.

He says when you can go into a Starbucks and use a digital currency instantly for a cheap coffee and then go eat at Burger King and use the same wallet, that crypto is real.

Until then, it's all crap he says that all perish when the super crypto coin arrives that the global merchants will run.

So look for a joint project by big merchants as the news that destroys any crypto talking about a global currency.

Big merchants will instantly brand the real crypto that BTC, eth, xrp and ltc can never scale to.

bitcoin investment when the price drops like this is even a great opportunity to do, you can get a lot of profits when bitcoin prices will go up, and the decline in prices after the ride is a normal thing in bitcoin trading, and I think bitcoin has a price rise each that's what I experienced during understanding bitcoin.

If i was you that seeking for invest sites. I must have been promote to invest here in bitcoin rather than invest in anything else. When i look at the scenario bitcoin has fall in more than a half but still i predicyed that it also increases since the past years is it can increases so high. Stated that it has possibilities to increases again. Since all things has an ups and down. I will go with bitcoin investments because the reason why bitcoin price was going down because thier are too many investors lilo and invest small money. So if thier was too many investors it increases.so we encouraging investors to deal with bitcoin.

That's indeed true that Bitcoin's market value amost reached 20000 USD last year. I honestly believe that its markrt value this year maybe on the third quarter, will be more expensive once it overcome the present backdrops. So I think it will be a wise choice to invest now that its market value is still low to earn huge profit once its market price starts to rise. Just trust Bitcoin and it will be all worth it in the end.

yes, the previous year shows things that are not much different from the current situation, that bitcoin prices will drop at the beginning of the year. but I suggest in addition to bitcoin, invest in altcoin it can help more quickly in getting the benefits. because of what I experienced, many altcoins are indeed able to crawl up quickly.

Bitcoin can cross $20k but no one can sure it will cross $20k in 2018 although it crossed $19.5k in December 2017. Now that price is far behind and cheaper. Thats why i am holding everyday my profit in Bitcoin and ETH.

I've red that in some exchanges in asia, the price of bitcoin reached 20k$ at the late part of 2017. The price will surely recover and will start going up in a later time of the year. Usually when the Christmas season is nearing. But we cannot really predict an exact date :D we just know and feel that it will surely get there.

Well, it's because of bad news and rumors circulating among people who have the impact of bitcoin price cuts, investors are starting to withdraw all their money.

I believe Bitcoin wouldn't run up to the all-time high yet again. not until the mass Segwit Wallet adoption and the implement of the lightning network. Well, I will try to predict it. If we look at the growth bitcoin prices from year to year I'm sure bitcoin prices will be more reaching the price of 20k. For example, bitcoin prices by the end of 2016 cost only $900 but by the end of 2017 bitcoin prices could reach $19000. If using technical analysis I'm sure it will reach over 20k.

if bitcoin price is too high, fee will be the problem. you can see some people always complain about fee in here and actually it is look really high because bitcoin price. about future money i don't think it will really work. but for investment it will be good

It was not bullish trend at all, what had happen was merely a coincidence of many events that caused the bitcoin to drop dramatically down below. The most profound reason for that goes like below:

October 2017            : Up surge for the bitcoin started after two forks and china fall.
November 2017        : Bitcoin stopped at 9-10K USD and led to fire of buying the bitcoin throughout the world. There were thousands of speculations that were coming   true in that month and everyone got the feeling that it will cross the 15K price or so.
November End 2017  : The news came out from the Wall Street that Futures will list the bitcoin as official commodity of their platform. This led to huge buy orders and increased in the market cap leading to higher prices.
December 2017         : Prices reached ATH 20K in two- three weeks.
December End 2017  : The events like Christmas, New Year etc., got people into situation where they wanted to sell BTC for the fiat money and this started the panic chain reaction. The prices went down to 13-15K and moved around there for long.
January 2017.          : Panic Selling at the start of month started and XRP, LTC got dominance over the other coins.

This was the actual drama that happened with the bitcoin and Im pretty sure that we will regain the dominance soon. So go ahead and invest, its just matter of time, few good and bad events that decides the ultimate fate of the bitcoin.

It seems that it will happen because downtrend is usually happen in the beginning of year so I convince myself to hold as long as possible !

You mean the FUD? The fudsters that bitcoin keep on it's down value. There are many users waiting for the price to back to normal because price at this state has been stayed for weeks already. Yes investing in bitcoin is already in good profit when you hold it.

I have heard the same arguments but I can already use my crypto to buy small everyday items in any store that accepts mastercard across the globe. So I would suggest that time is already here. I use XRP to purchase a pizza, I used BTC to shop on ebay, and I used ETH to buy drinks in a night club all with my Centra card.

i think you should really go with your gut feeling and maybe look into it a little deeper. Basically all you're gonna get are peoples opinions, not saying people aren't right, just saying that they nobody knows for sure! i wish it was that easy!

It's better to keep the investment divided into savings and crypto currency. If we are earning on the daily basis then I would suggest that we must divide a portion of this into savings at first. This will make sure that we don't end up loosing our money if something goes wrong in the crypto world.

Rest, we are making sure that, we invest on the daily basis and then make even more profits from it. If by chance bitcoin rises to values like 20k or more then we can get even higher profits this equilibrating the whole thing.

It is most likely going to hit $20,000 this year when the news stabilize. The market is preparing and getting ready for an uptrend thats why you see is not taking a dive but dragging between $11  and $10,000.

I don't know why bitcoin dropped from 19K USD to 11K USD, it is a very unsightly for all of those people who waited for bitcoin's price to hit 20K USD but suddenly it didn't, it is very disappointing to be honest. Right now, we are hoping for bitcoin's price to show us some signs of its resistance so getting back to its track is possible again to happen this month or next month.

There is no reason to panic though, just hold your bitcoins if you don't need fiat and wait for its comeback to have huge profits.

Recently people found that gold and bitcoin is in reverse relation. One rise, while the other drops; and vice versa.
Everyone knows here that Btc is not very functional when you use it as money for transaction as it's current form.
That's why all professionals says: "BTC is an asset, like gold."
So, please look at gold price. BTC will also have similar fluctuations. But will not be $1M something. Just like no one use real gold anymore to do transaction or buy anything in real life.
An altcoin(s) with fast transfer, no transaction fee will be used as money in real life. BTC will be an asset, or investment tool; because its the first one in market. "Baseball card" or "collector item" comment is not reflecting reality.

There are few people who can predict Bitcoin's future. Bitcoin is a crazy mad. No one cauld not be said when Bitcoin  starts the madness. But if the current US economic downturn is over, then Bitcoin prices may increase.

Bitcoin is in a weird situation right now it will go up to twenty thousand dollars or more by end of the year for sure but we cant be sure to say whens that gonna happen, It would be great to see the price staying stable at twenty thousand dollars instead of ten thousand dollars  :).

Yes bitcoin indeed in a situation that we dont have to be in panic. If price drops it's a normal situation in the market although the currenct price has been stabilized for weeks. Yet, a volatility is always existing and we should wait for the market to rising up. Thus, I believe were in the nearest point to hit $20k.

It is possible but what we dont know is that when and how long it will happen. I predicted that it will happen in the month of june because as of now, its price is still 11 000 USD. Hopefully, there should be no more government related issues with the cryptocurrency market.

Bitcoin reaching $20,000 is the most of people's desire before and after the year 2018 but I think it didn't reach exactly but almost reached the value of $20k. Just like the other people here on the forum, I always dreamed of bitcoin reaching more than $20,000 but the thing is, No one knows when will it happened.

Bitcoin is volatile, that is a given so I think if you will be investing on Bitcoin keep that in mind because that is the risk we had faced for years now and I am still here. We did see price spike to $20k last december though it drops to a low of $10k at the start of 2018. So we can expect the price to rise back again this year and even higher than $20k. Eventhough we cannot see the future, we just have to be hopeful it would hit $20k again.

In 2018-2020 cryptomarket will be more regulatable by the governments and Bitcoin will update its price records. At the moment there is no any clear indication that I can see in the market. All the indicators suggest that there is indecision at the moment. That literally means that if you have some bitcoin already keep it, and if you were planning to buy some just wait bit more to see where the market want to go.

I agree, Bitcoin will like surpass $20k and hit $30k in a massive high acceleration Bull rush, we have seen these prices surges happen in the past. They happen quickly and you cannot predict it. Then there is a correction period where the prices go back down after hitting its peak.

For BTC to stabilise at $20k, it will have to hit $30-40k suddenly, we might see this FOMO happen over a week or so and if the market continues to be bullish, it will even go higher but at a slower rate.

This is all very likely for 2018, and we underestimate the timing, it is likely for this to happen in Q1 of 2018 because the rise in price is not based on the quantity but rather the % change. For example, a 50% rise from $500 is only to $750, the same % change is from $5000 to $7500, and similarly if we had only a 50% change from present prices it will go from $11k to $16.5k. Huge changes quantitatively but the percentage change is the same.

That is what we are likely to see, similar % changes in the past, which will amplify the price swings.

There were many issues that cause the bitcoin prices to go down. And while still at lower price you had the opportunity to buy as this will surely bounce back in 2x or more. We had seen that bullish run last year and this will happen again this year.

No one knows if bitcoin will hit $20k this year. This will be favorable for us investors if this happens. Let us hope and pray that at least it will hit closer to $20k this year.

I am not seeking for invest sites here, what I do is getting any predictions about how bitcoin will rise again and when your right that if many bitcoin investor will put their money in bitcoin the bitcoin price will go high :)

Bitcoin will not just reach 20,000 USD because i think that the price will reach at least triple than that target price. The price of bitcoin right now is low but there will be a bull run based on the last year bitcoin chart's price that in the middle of the month of the February up until may, it will have a run and the price will have another type of rally.

If a month ago I was confidently looking at the future bitcoin, now I do not have such optimism. Bitcoin does not eliminate its shortcomings and this is still its main problem. If its scaling problems are not corrected in the near future, it seems that there may not be a future for bitcoin. In this regard, its growth to 20 000 dollars will be impossible.

It'll prob hit 20k but I expect a sell off if it does. I think if it get between 17 to 20k a lot who bought at twenty k last time will unload to recoup some losses and others will take profit as the 20k is the all time high. We should be talking btc at 50k

How you make statement without any proof or atleast any relevant data . Market is getting corrected now whole crypto market capital reduced to 500 billion dollar . So that mean most of the people took their profit to fiat currency . Once again if the people start to re invest to crypto there will be a huge chance. But my bet would ethereum will take trust of investors this time.

2017 was a remarkable year for bitcoin and cryptocurrency. The bullish run of bitcoin in 2017 has it's good and bad sides. Good in that the world was awakened to the emergence of P2P transactions using blockchain. Bad in the sense that it arouse curiosity of government into the decentralized nature of blockchain transactions and the need for control.

This eye of government into bitcoin will prevent the price rise of bitcoin in 2018. We may not see the kind of bullish run of bitcoin as we saw in 2017.

I think $20K at the end of the year is a good number although I see it reach closer to $35K by end of year. I am bullish on Bitcoin and have bought more on this recent major dip.

The price of the bitcoin as of now is 11,500 dollars and I think it will continue to increase again the price of the bitcoin at 20k dollars next month or in the march of february . You can buy bitcoin now if you want and for sure after few weeks or few months of waiting you can earn some profit.  But the price is always depends on the market if the price become high or the price will decrease. But I hope the price of the bitcoin will increase the price.

Bitcoins will definitely make a comeback to $20,000 but it will take a lot of months to do so. I'm making a guess here with the basis of 2017. It took a couple of months for bitcoins to gain $19,000 per bitcoin. So the way I see it, it will take a couple of months as well for bitcoins to go back to $20,000.

Bitcoin is now down nearly 50%.
I think now the best trading strategy is to buy BTC first, when the BTC rose sharply, to sell the BTC, and then buy altcoin, so in general, is likely to be the highest rate of return.

I heard that bitcoin mostly bearish in Jan and Mar of each year so may be will see this in coming months may be till end of Feb as in Jan people draw money for many celebrations like new year celebration

Bitcoin at $20k is possible in 2018. Me and my friends didn't sold our coins when the market was going hard down. We believed that it was because of the panic sellers and from fuds.

I expect that Bitcoin will be even higher than 20k. One of the reason for that is that more people join crypto. Mostly new ones buy Bitcoins.

Yes, I think it's still good time for investments in Bitcoins. It started to rise, but it is still less than 12K. I think at the end of the year it will be about 25K.This is my own opinion.

Bitcoin will really do hit $20K as it was also at its current price now and same day last year. There's no way that it couldn't be at its peak and hype at the end of the year. Soon, Bitcoin price will be the same high every December and at its downfall every January.

I think bitcoin now waiting for another momentum as it regain support in $11k mark for this couple days hope that price wont be broken and i think 2018 will be a good year, its just common sense that since last month booming for all cryptocurrency, people started to take some of their profits, but if we take a better look, there are no cryptocurrencies that rise and back to square one, most of their price range cut by half since the booming in december but still in the upside movement since their ICO started, not to mention lending coins which exactly prone to failed while waiting.

It is a matter of time before Bitcoin gets back to 20 thousand dollars. Its value has dropped a bit due to Christmas and new year. It happens every year so I wouldn't worry about. Bitcoin value might start rapidly growing after a huge company or merchant introduces Lightning Network which is said to lower transaction fees. A lot of people join Bitcoin community even though is isn't as fast as it used to be. It will be interesting to see what will happen in this year.

Now that Bitcoin prices are starting to look increasing, some people say that there is a pumping of Bitcoin prices. This is certainly a poistive news because then the opportunity to increase the price of Bitcoin will get better. although it is still far enough to reach 20,000USD, this development is good for approaching the Bitcoin price tag.

As of my observation this past year bitcoin will reach i think by the last quarter of 2018 like last year. It may hit 20k$ or even more than we could imagine. As of now I overheard that some of the Chinese people are raiding some sort of bitcoin resources so the bitcoin today is stuck to 10k$ -11k$. I'm not sure to that news but i think i have to read more in this forum to gather more information. So i can Distribute some professional advice or news.

Most of the people knew that bitcoins wasn't really going to hover around $11000 forever and that it was just a matter of time before the value starts to rise again and with the issue with the South Korean seemingly over and transaction fees also reduced for the time being, I think we are currently on the path to recovery.

I am no Cryptocurrency expert but I believe that Bitcoin's market value will increase this year. Although  we are having a rough start this year, I am hoping that positive things will come to Bitcoin as months are passing by. Bitcoin is now becoming more popular and it will positively affect uts marjet demand as well as its market price so let's just wait and hold.

I am sure that there a lot of members  in this forum who are waiting for the price 20 000 usd, I am one of them))) it is very dificult to  predict the value. 

And now, bitcoin is 8k$ in value, are you saying that if it hits below 5k$, we should buy bitcoins and wait for it to skyrocket up to 30k$? I'm with you there! Since we can see from the charts that it repeats the same process - go down, and go higher!

It is possible to even exceed the 20k mark. Action and reaction are equal but opposite. The forces that pushed the price down would turn around to spring it up. Welcome to the new world.

            The experts has already predicted that bitcoins market value can reach up to USD 50,000 In the year 2018 itself. If it is like that within the coming two or three months time it can reach again such a  level of 20,000. It is possible since the market is highly volatile.

20k$ bitcoin at the end of 2017 bitcoin raise from 5k$ to 19k$ how about 2018 end of the year maybe it will surpass his 19k to 30k$ soon wait and patient :)

It is  hard to predict on what bitcoin can be price, no one knows if can reach again in $ 20,000. Because right now the  bitcoin price is in the $8k I don't think it can be reach $50k by the end of the year.

As the price of present market is very much unpredicted for the investor. I hope it will recover and cross the history and touch $30K.

That's what most people want, it could happen if there were less coins being traded on the markets.

This time the reasons are different though because it is depending more or less on the external factors such as stock exchange of America which has hit itself a lot this time. I agree that we can see the same drops in previous years but this time the things are completely different. Slowly the crypto world has taken the turns over political interface and global summits asking for the questions like, what next about the about crypto? Hopefully, these factors will renovate the bitcoin working nature and wont affect in negative ways. However, it can be seen that we are proceeding in the direction after the jans fall and might just see greater prices soon.

As of now,bitcoin has already dropped a staggering price at 8,000$ and still continues to drop. Still I believe that it can still be able to get up at a good price since the year 2018 was a great year for the bitcoin to start. Bitcoin has been already widely advertised in different social media these past few days. Though the effect of it is not still seen,I still believe that soon enough bitcoin will get up soon. Let us just think of this drop as an oppprtunity for us to invest if we have the risk to do it. Though there is no 100% sureness,still we might be really able to earn from this low price if the bitcoin gets up again.

Yes, although if Bitcoin was going to be obsoleted (yes, a real word Grin) there would be a greater chance of radical changes being implemented in the bitcoin protocol.  So it might continue but in a changed form.

I dont think Bitcoin will hit 20K this month but will surely hit in 2-3 months because Bitcoin has suffered very good amount of loss so its time for bitcoin to make a comeback by hitting 20K. :D

Bitcoin is rising after falling sharply. . Now we can not predict anything. That is just the beginning of 2018, and we have plenty of time. There may be strong growth by the end of 2018 and the value may be up to 20,000 dollars. Again.

Bitcoin at this time the price again less support. But many people say that bitcoin in this year will reach about $ 30,000. It's just a prediction that no one can be sure what happened next. We must believe that bitcoin is a good asset for us to invest in the long run. 8)

It'll spike. Based on the graphs before, it will most likely spike back to $20,000 or even greater since a lot would be buying with today's pricing, I assume. However, this will definitely take a lot of time like what happened last year. It took bitcoin to reach $20,000 for about 8 months to do so.

Bitcoin has reached to this much of value in the past and that it not a big deal for bitcoin to reach up to this much of the market value once again. In fact, there are likely chances that the market value of the bitcoin will go even beyond than that of 20k $ in the next few months and that this will definitely help the investors in making of some huge amount of money at that time as they will be having a huge profit.

i think a lot of whales already get cheap price and they will pump it in this year, even it is soon or must wait i will do it. because it already happen every year. in mid year or end of the year bitcoin price always climb

It is possible to reach on 20k since its almost hit last year. Bitcoin is facing a challenge right now that slowly breaking the barriers to gain up again. Waiting for the time bitcoin will comeback and break the preventing walls that blocks bitcoin. Surely, it is good to go.
