Me and Nutnut got together to start up an PPS pool some time ago.
This was initially to give people an alternative if they wanted to go the easy controlled way.
Now we see more pools adapting to the new safer feathercoin (ACP), more PPS pools pops up allmost daily.

So now we needed to think, what would make Nut2Pools special, how could we evolve further to bring our loyal miners some extra benefits. How could we make Nut2Pools a greater experience for people?

Our idea was, why not have internal gambling, where people could first mine ftc, then if they felt like it. Use it to play some games on the site.

This is where we decided to aquire ftcgames.eu, However this was just the expencive sprincles on top of the cake. The Core goal was to aquire Ukmark, for those who have not been around on the forum alot, he is the guy behind ftcgames, he is also the guy that have made the SMS Wallet!

He is now a solid partner with Nut2Pools.

The future seems bright, Watch this space!

Sir, while there is 0% fee pools and yours are 4%, you can't expect too much miners.

Aha - NONE of them are PPS though. Except coinotron which is 5% (and disabled) :P

No risks to miners you simply get paid what the profit calcs say you will. Takes luck out of the equation.

Given current situation with feathercoin and the implementation of ACP protection we have desided to lower the fee rate to 2%!
We do however encourage miners to add a small donation to the pool beyond the 2% mandatory to help keep the pool alive.

We're still growing and have 100% uptime so far. If you are risk averse and would like to have income regardless of whether the pool finds a block, come and mine with us for 100% of your estimated loot! :D

Just started using it with cudaminer and I have to say it was easy to setup. For some reason I tried a few pools and the stratum would not connect with their information in cudaminer. I also prefer pps since my computer is not on 24/7. So far so good based on initial setup hoping to a long life for this pool!

Doing some maintenance, do not be alarmed its just visuall appearance, your shares are being counted correctly!  ;)

All finished. Was just updating the front end code base to give us some more flexibility for future enhancements. :)

Updating to newest client, which support the coming diff adjustment.
Just wanting to state that we are on top of things ;)

All done - now running the latest daemons ready for the diff retarget fix. :D

Guys - just confirming we are on the correct chain after the hardfork.

There seems to be a large number of pools that have not updated - please check your pools.

And so our planned upgrades are taking shape. New front end is in place, come and check it out....

Not sure if i got the question? what do you mean with 100% pps?
We take the block value and split it against the number of shares expected given diff. and payout 100% of the block (including orphans!). minus 2% fee

So i can count on ~ +/- values from mining calculators as per normal PPS

i.e if my expected results are 700 ftc i should get 700 ftc minus the fees ?

BTW I understand what PPS is I just want to make sure....As I have been waiting for this with FTC for a while :D

Yeah you will get what the calc says (it will be a bit off sometimes, due to difficulty adjustments).
We have been around for quite a while now with PPS, just means we have done a bad job promoting ourself=)

Im aware of the PPLNS information and other small stuff on the site which is wrong.
We recently did a design change to get a better layout/user experience. Havent gotten around doing all the small adjustments yet.
Been hosted on the dev side for checking that everything works smooth (the core itself). And now we are in the process of implementing ftcgames into the site.

We will clean up the site with proper and correct information asap.

I have got another friend who I may be able to get him to come across... He will bring another 50 m =)

Hopefully FTC will stay ahead of the ltc curve for the moment .....LTC is in a coma of Late due to being goxed....FTC definitely has momentum & bushstar & the devs seem to be on it :D

Thanks, however we have moved over to TheSerphaner's layout, we had custom. but his new one just was to slick ;)
Nutnut is also kinda a bugtester for him, so its pretty damn nice to give direct feedback to the creator, and just do a new pull on changes.

We really appriciate miners recruiting others, we need to get the hashrate UP so we even out the up/downs on the block find.
I have high faith in FTC, and which is why we now basiclly focus 100% on our FTC pool.

Ps. Donation above the mandatory 2% fee is much appriciated, we are down 3k ftc from our own pocket since we started the pool ;D

Smaller than 100m and your % get out of whack for teh bad times ..I think with FTC 300m+ Should keep things on an even keel :D

Theres no problem, and yeah those dry runs are killing us. We are spending around 3300ftc pr 24Hours in "hired power" =)

Its not the first time, we crossed 1000% at one point. Then we broke some sweat ;D

Those are the reason why we are down 3000ftc in personal investment (not including the fee %,donations, and server hire). if we counted in those we would be at around 6000ftc down ::)

But im not complaining. Its a part of PPS and its gamble.

Sorry had to take down the slots for a while.
Had a issue with some small bugs, and out of proportion odds.

Really like the proof of work honesty engine :D

Taken down for a while until we figure out the right odds to keep it fair, but still not bleed us dry:)

On a positive note the pool has done alot better lately so if this continus we might reach zero balance soon (we were down around 6k ftc in personal input (not including cost of running server)

We also has allmost 240Mhash now!
This gives us soo much motivation that we are working out some extra tweak for the pool, keep watching this thread for update:)

I live in norway,
with connection through US server i got my rejected down from 1-1.5% to 0.18%
I do recommend people to check which of the servers is fastest for you.

Just use this in cmd: ping ftcpps.nut2pools.com, and then do the same for us.nut2pools.com
choose the server which has less ms.

We will continue to look for more nodes to benefit the miners!

Nut2pool is proud to announce that we have put up a third node for our pool, this time in Japan.
Now you can access the pool from ftcpps.nut2pools.com and direct your miners to stratum+tcp://jp.nut2pools.com:5565

This offers better resiliensy (set up failover), and better performance regarding reject/stale
Especially for Japan since the delay is much higher for them to access US/UK servers!

Please use the adress most suited for you as the main pool address!

I love the new Japan POP site ....Has reduced my ping times from 350ms+ to 160-175ms

So all Australian guys I recomend giving the Japan POP a go :D

FTC taking a hammering at the moment but BTC is rising as well ..I think we are in for a ride as BTC hits 200+ in the next 2 weeks

Hopefully FTC can disconnect to a certain degree as it has in the past =)

Can i check that you have also configured your failovers to our other stratum nodes (US maybe if you are in Oz?) as i will need to restart the services on that node to disable debug once i'm happy that it's all well (feel like i'm in the matrix watching 200MH/s of shares flying in to the servers  :o )? It will only be offline for about 30 seconds but none-the-less... ;)

Please keep spreading the word - we now have the capacity to handle considerably more miners! I know you have brought over a large chunk of hash to us so genuine thanks for that! :)

As for prices, i see it as an opportunity to mine more whilst the diff is low irrespective of what coinschoose/coinwarz says about profitability. I'm a longer term holder so just want as many coins as possible as soon as possible. For now, price doesn't bother me as I believe in a 6 months to a year .00060 will be ancient history... Finger crossed  :-[

I assumed since you had them integrated into the site and owned them that if I set the payout address to one of the games and I won that I would receive my winnings apparently this is not the case.

I'm assuming that mean you set your payout address on the pool to be one of the games addresses. If so then your winnings would have gone straight into the central pool wallet and not to your account. It has to be said, it was a heck of a leap of faith if that's what you tried?

As for the contact page - that's my bad. I thought i had disabled it as it has some issues but with all of the work we're doing, i must have missed it. I any case we can be reached here or at our thread on the Feathercoin forum (http://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php/topic,3409.0.html). I will try to sort the contact page over the w/e.

I've mulled over this quite a bit and the problem with this is what i call the fame factor. Everyone want's to be top of the list and obviously for someone like your self, you'll be well and truly planted at the top. :)  But for the little guys that donate 5% but are only hashing at 500khs, their donations are a larger chunk of their earnings but will always be much lower down on the list. As a result we decided to run the lists alphabetically and allow people to sort by clicking the top of the column. Seemed the only fair way.... (nut2pools braces for an influx of miners called a, aa, aaa, aaaa, aaaaa,,, ;D)

All goods ....i feel "A Yip Yip" alias coming on :D

That was my bad, i broke the stratum server whilst changing the code (managed to make it ignore the difficulty so it used a diff setting of 1 rather than 256). Really sorry to all of our JP miners. :'(

The good news is that despite the fact that it seems like a shed load of wasted time and a high percentage of stales, most of those rejects happened within ~15 minutes. You alone actually managed to push out the equivalent of over 900Mh/s worth of rejects. :o

That said, if you feel that you are significantly down on your overall daily earnings or are still having issues, please feel free to let me know and i'll reimburse you.

Can you check that your current invalids are about what you would expect?

Once again - Please accept my apologies (I should have gone to bed rather than make that last change!  :-[ )

FYI BTC is going to hit ~$500 b4 a correction....  FTC will hit ~ .0002+ when BTC is about 250 or just after its previous high  and then FTC will rally like a champ so if u have spare btc's lying around we are in for some oppurtunity times that happen about once a year :D

Last years bubble/crash I was looking at btc for 60....had no moneys as had just bought 20 rigs...lolz ...but this year its time to get some sweet sweet cheap FTC

We have been taking a major kicking this last period. To keep the pool floating we need to
adjust the pool fee from 2% to 3%. We are not happy with this but see it as a last resort.
To give everyone a heads up on this we will wait 24hours before we adjust the fee.

If the bad luck continues we will be forced to go prop instead of pps.

On my Dashboard, have these numbers:

They either are wrong or I dont know what they are estimating :)

hmm. that estimate dont make any sence at all!
checked my own and mine is as out of wack as yours.
may be something got broken during an update (its pure cosmetic and payouts are correct)
will look into it!

 ftcpps.nut2pools.com stratum is now shutdown permanently.
Make sure you point your miner to one of the UK/EU/JP servers!, and please have failover set to one of the others in case of maintenance etc.

They are completely wrong and you don't know what they are estimating coz even I don't know what they were estimating!! As with all things though - we eventually get round to fixing them... ;)

Also, I'm looking to deploy another US stratum server but cant decide East or West (NY or CA)... any preferences guys?

We now have full DDoS protection, SSL across the entire site and 5 redundant stratum servers spread around the globe. All in all that makes us pretty resilient!

Next on the list is the CA and NY stratum stratum servers.

Now added uptime/status page so you can see if we really do have 100% uptime. The stats are not simply a ping to the server, they actually connect to our stratum ports to check that stratum is running. The same for the web front end. In short, if it's green, were open for business!
