Title: What is Virtual Money?
Post by: goodpeople222 on January 27, 2018, 10:23:33 PM
About virtual currency, there are 03 different understandings:

Money is unmanageable, no physical shape and is used in electronic environments, it is called virtual money.
The type is not real value, not guaranteed by cash, gold, and valuable assets.
The money is usually used to pay for games in electronic games, each type of game has a different currency and they can not be used to exchange for each other or to bring out the electronic environment to buy. Other service products are.

The concept of virtual money is born, widely used and most often by the third interpretation itself. With this kind of money, the balance can be managed and easily changed by the issuer without affecting the financial or market economy.

Virtual money is almost the same as ordinary paper dollars. But they are in digital form. So much more convenient, because you do not have to wear large sums with you.

Hey, at least they added the new merit system so people like this won't be able to go up in their profile rank at all. it is pretty trash to see the massive influx of even worse posts when the merit system was probably going to reduce the quantity of this garbage, but it's far funnier when people haven't caught on to the fact that it's changed and they're going to be stuck with a newbie account forever, provided they don't make any posts of value on this account. The longer they do that for the better imo. It'll stay as spam but the fewer people shitting up the service forum and farming a billion accounts the better. We just have to tackle everyone one by one.

Virtual currency refers to non-real currency, the popular digital currency, bitcoin, Litecoin, Fuyuan currency. Bitcoin is a kind of electronic money generated by open source P2P software. Some people translate Bitcoin as "Bitkin", which is a kind of network virtual currency. Mainly used for Internet financial investment, but also as a new currency can be used directly in life. Fuyuan currency is the jewelry industry's commercial application points system, is an innovative digital currency encryption.

Banknotes are inherently worthless. Instead, countries give the value of paper currency. Similarly, bitcoin is a cryptographic currency that people value, except that it is in the form of digitally encrypted currency. I think Bitcoin is no different from paper money, the only difference is whether a country can accept Bitcoin legitimately.

virtual currency is different from cash currency, not visible but has value, so it can only transact using internet network. although it has a lot but not difficult, because it is stored in a virtual wallet. so easy to carry anywhere.
if anything assuming  about virtual money, certainly a virtual currency comes to ease our life.

I feel like virtual money is significantly different from crypto currency. Mainly, crypto is usually anoymous and decentralized.

Virtual money, for me, refers to just any form of payments that's done online. I think venmo and PayPal are modes of operating virtual money, so as you can tell, in my definitions, it's pretty clear what the differences are.

In this sense, virtual money has been around for a while, and crypto currency is just a piece of that virtual money pie.

I would have to agree with you on your definition of a virtual money and how it is distinctly different from Cryptocurrency. I believe that people have used the Virtual money system way back during the inception of Online payments/transactions system.  Cryptocurrency, on the otherhand, is just as you said; a part of this Virtual Money System with the added decentralized/anonymous feature.

I think the virtual currency is the electronic currency on the Internet, encrypted currency can be said to be a category of virtual currency, but the encrypted currency is more secure than those used in the game. It is encrypted and the transaction is more secure.

Virtual money is a digital money  that is used and accepted in virtual community. Like the word "virtual" is not physically existing so  virtual money is not physically a money but it can be used.

I think virtual money is a digital currently or what we call cryptocurrency like bitcoins and some other coins. Like in bitcoin it is being controlled by the developer and not by the bank and has it's own founder. I hope this information helps.

I have researched that Virtual Money can be defined as a digital representation of value that is issued and controlled by its developers, and used and accepted among the members of a specific (virtual) community. Unlike regular money, it is relying on a system of trust and not issued by a central bank or other banking authority. Virtual money originally only referred to the currencies that did not live in the real world and were only exchanged online (typically in gaming systems). In a later phase, virtual currencies started to expand to the physical world and blurred the line between virtual and digital money.

The network virtual currency can be divided into three kinds!

The first is the familiar game currency.

The second category is a dedicated currency issued by portal or instant messaging service providers to purchase services within the site.

The third kind of virtual currency on the Internet, such as bitcoin (BTC), the monetary (FTC) Wright currency (LTC), etc.

virtual currency is a digitally-built currency, the entire system is based on chain blocks or blockchain. Starting from the issuance, the way transactions and records are all recorded in the blockchain decentralization network. So everyone can run this block chain server.

In my opinion, bitcoin is non-existent money, it is not physical, it should exist on the Internet and it is an electronic money. But if it is cut off by power failure, it is very difficult to trade. This is also a drawback, so we still have Need to have a national recognition of the presence of banknotes read your explanation, I think I have a more in-depth understanding of the virtual currency, thank you.

This type of currency has been known for a long time in the form of customer incentive programs or loyalty programs.A lot of confusion exists around the terms virtual money and digital money. When we are talking about digital money, this concerns the categories M2 and M3 of the financial system (M1 are the physical notes and coins in circulation). Worldwide, more than 95% of the currencies is digital. Virtual money originally only referred to the currencies that did not live in the real world and were only exchanged online (typically in gaming systems). In my opinion there are a difference between Virtual money and Crypto currencies. Virtual money can be in-game tokens or

some counter party token. It can be electronic food stamps or vouchers. Once Cryptographic algorithms is involved, it should

be labelled as Crypto currencies. {If it is not Bitcoin, then it is a Alt coin} The difference is very important, because not all

digital "money" is the same.  ;)

Fundamentally no currency in this world as its intrinsic value as only government are providing some value to their currency. So, the do not need to confuse about virtual money based on how the currency is getting its value.

I mean to say it virtual money can be defined a money which is not having any physical form but having all the properties of traditional money. A virtual money can be an electronic money and it must be having all the buying power of what is a physical money is having.

This definition may differ for persons. But, a virtual money must be used to for all the purposes what a traditional money is meant for. Otherwise there will be no point of calling it a money.

They can be used as a form of payment if another person is willing to accept them, they are not legal tender. The value of virtual currency can fluctuate significantly, they may not be accepted in many places and they are not guaranteed by any bank or government. Virtual currencies are kept in a digital wallet and the exchange platforms on which you buy and sell virtual currencies are generally not regulated, which means that if the platform fails or is hacked, you are not protected and have no statutory recourse.

Virtual money is money without physical form - electronically recorded, moved, and stored. Since the 1960s most money has been stored in computers. Coin and currency vaults hold a small fraction of a bank's assets. Computer records and transaction flows are most of the money in the country (and most countries). Today, check images are captured and moved at the speed of light from depositing customers, to their banks as virtual deposits, cleared to the banks they are written on, credits and debits moved to record activity. The physical checks no longer need to be moved.............

The next stage of the web, is using programmable money to create and sustain
distributed systems, like the ethereum smart-contract system. Crypto allows us to build
utilities on the web, that can pay for their own continuance through cryptocurrency.

Fixed value currency changes how we use it. There will not be anymore bitcoins
printed, which changes the way they are spent in the marketplace.

We recreated the scarcity of rare gems and metals, while giving them a verifiable limit
that cannot be counterfeited, or inflated by printing more ad infinitum.

Crypto has removed the concept of trust away from authorized people and
organizations to the solid principles of mathematics and decentralized consensus.

This creates a true market.

A market that is not held captive to the borders of physical money and its limitations.
A true market, that allows buyers and sellers to transfer value to whatever is valuable
and whoever provides the best service, in a trustless and secure way.

Incentives can be tied to data-backed metrics and distributed globally on the basis of
performance, instead of personal bias, or nepotism.

Removing money from the sole arbitration of human beings frees us from the
limitations of our own perceptions and projections of other people, cultures, countries
and beliefs.

It is kept in various forms such as in bank accounts protected by security codes or in the form of plastic money. Virtual money could be literally anything that you cannot physically see or hold, in ways FIAT currency is also virtual money as they were more promisory notes to pay the value upon redemption at a banking establishment. Right now we clasify crypto as virtual money but I thin you could also bundle credit cards in the same catergory.

Cryptocurrency is a freak among currencies. It's not just money, it's moving, almost alive, almost intelligent, electrons, beams of electrons that we tokenized. If someone now, in 2018, all I want to say that Bitcoin is intangible, think about electrons. About the light rays, and even about electromagnetic waves. Because gold can not hide in the electron and light beams and waves, and travel through the planet at a speed of 100 Mbit/s And bitcoins you can do. And this is only one of the" wonders", which is sometimes so difficult to tell your friends and it sounds, to put it mildly, slightly absurd.

The virtual currency has been defined since 2012 by the European central Bank as a form of currency without rules or regulations created and supervised by the developer for use by its specialized members of the virtual community.
The US dept. Of treasurypada 2013 states more emphatically that virtual money is a 'tool of exchange that operates like a currency in certain environments, but does not have any attributes as a real currency' '. The key is the virtual currency attribute has no definition as a legal tender status. My language, virtual money has no valid intrinsic value to use as a price submission

Based on the European Central Bank virtual currency defined as "a type of unregulated, digital money, which is issued and usually controlled by its developers, and used and accepted among the members of a specific virtual community".In particular, virtual currency does not have legal tender status in any jurisdiction.

Also virtual currency is "a digital representation of value that is neither issued by a central bank or a public authority, nor necessarily attached to a fiat currency, but is accepted by natural or legal persons as a means of payment and can be transferred, stored or traded electronically".

Virtual currencies is only used in digital transaction. Also it is form of asset to the person who hold on it. Actually the virtual currency have a limited function as like I stated above it is only representation of value through encrypt formulation in digital transaction like stored and transferred.

Virtual Money are not only cryptocurrencies but cryptocurrencies are virtual money.
The word Virtual means something that is not touchable something that can be seen but can not be touched, the opposite of this is the real money that can be touched (cash). Bitcoin is virtual, even though we can print the paper wallet but we can't say that look this is one bitcoin because it isn't it is a paper that contains some keys some information that should be used online (virtually) to spend those money.
The same thing is the money that we have in banks, they are actually real but they show us as virtual like digits, we make online purchases without giving/touching the real money.

In my understanding of virtual money. I think it is backed-up by real money. Not by gold though. As you can see people buy virtual money before they can transact business online. When they have to use their virtual money in the real world they would trade it back with real money as well. So it is backed up by real money as I can see.

Virtual Money for me is something which you cannot physically hold or keep, it is an internet or digital currency which can also be cash out to any kind of currency in any part of the world which has a mobile or internet connectivity so without the said connectivity this currency will never exist also, digital currency is best when you are traveling because it release you the burden of bringing the actual paper bills in which we are very used to.

You are right, the virtual money or currency can be only find in the internet and it will not become possible to be in the physical world because it is called virtual means it is only digital and the best examples for that are the bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin, they are the virtual money but also a technology that will change the world in the future so embracing them and the other cryptocurrencies is a must.

In the first place - it's a very high place. To make the purchase of goods more convenient or to provide payment for any service may be with a masculine secret, but not at the expense of this large amount of money for commerce. This means that if you use an electronic payment system, which in the City is very large, and there are many hotels with every year.
In the second place - access. In the difference between banks, the systems of electronic payments work constantly, in an automatic mode, that is, without going out, alone, and on all the way out, which is very good for a financial client. To this, the same money can be implemented as inside the cov- erage, so also on the ee of the page. First of all, the populary system of the Russian-speaking group of the global community, may, without doubts, allocate WebMoney and Yandek.Dengi, it also does not have any other resources, which are not at all vyshekkazannym.
Thirdly - it's safe. Electronic money is created in such a way that they do not seem to be suggestive, as they have a digitized digital form. The environment of some people uses the idea that you can take the credit card system swiftly. This is an abolutely erroneous idea.

Basically, Virtual money is not touchable and has no physical shape. You can't see it but you can transact it anywhere you go with the help of internet system. I think the real money requires security when you go outside your hope but Virtual money doesn't need like this. I think that's the main difference between these two money criteria.
But Real money is still more popular because of the price stability, But Virtual money is becoming also popular around the world day by day for the purpose of payment and some specific sectors. that's why experts state that virtual money will dominate in the monetary world and it will be the common currency whole around the world in the future.

From its word virtual it means unreal, virtual money is just an electronic codes or digits on your screen with important values. Virtual money is not backed by gold or valuable things even the real money but virtual money can be converted into a cash with the use of some applications. Main example is the bitcoin, its price is dependable and parallel on the demand.

In a later phase, virtual currencies started to expand to the physical world and
blurred the line between virtual and digital money.
Yes, you're right. For me, virtual money is an electronic or digital money that can be use as payment online or for gaming systems in a virtual community. Its just only a representation of money with no physical appearance and is not backed by gold.

Like what you say that virtual money is often used for online game payments. But if you know, the benchmark purchase price of the virtual money itself comes from fiat money. So that virtual money is an invisible form of paper money

To withdraw Virtual Money we must transact with Third Party (Money Exchanger) and usually to cash Virtual Money we also have to have a local bank account to receive our virtual money money from Money Exchanger.

Nowadays, many transactions take place without any physical money, for example via online transfers or payment cards. It is known, however, that the money we see in the bank's online account can be withdrawn in the form of banknotes. This means that even electronic transactions are linked to "traditional" money.

Thats it ,any transaction online is seems to be good explanation for for virtual money and crypto currency is just part of it, its really what you can't have in past. when online transaction was done in terms of currency and prior to that in form of different goods.

What is 'Convertible Virtual Currency/money'
Convertible virtual currency is an unregulated digital currency that can be used as a substitute for real and legally recognized currency. Convertible virtual currency usually has a measurable value in real money, but what makes it convertible lies in its ability to be exchangeable. Not all virtual currency can be exchanged for legal tender though, therefore, not all virtual currency is convertible.

Convertible virtual currency is also called an Open Virtual Currency.

'Convertible Virtual Currency'
Convertible virtual currency is an example of how technology advancements all over the globe are driving disrupting changes in the traditional way of doing things, including the way goods and services are paid for and acquired. The rise of cross-border and e-commerce platforms for shopping has led to a demand for alternative means of making payments. One rapidly evolving payments technology that is making waves in the digital world is virtual currency. Virtual currency is a type of digital money that is used to purchase real-world goods and services, but has no legal tender status in some countries, meaning that it is not recognized as a medium of payment by legal systems such as the Federal Reserve.

The most popular form of virtual currency is known as Bitcoin. Bitcoin runs on a decentralized peer-to-peer currency network. It is decentralized because it bypasses the regulatory operations of central banks and central clearing houses which exist to monitor, verify, and approve transactions in legal tender. It is a peer-to-peer exchange tool because it is a currency created by the people for the people. Bitcoin is a convertible virtual currency because it can be exchanged for real money based on its determinable value in the market. The value of a Bitcoin in dollars has been exchanged from as low as $13 sometime in 2012 to as high as $17,900 in December 2017. According to CNBC, Bitcoin is expected to rise in value to reach $50,000 in 2018.

Virtual currency can be converted for cash through online exchanges who act as brokers. Exchanges such as Coinbase and Bitstamp enable users to exchange their Bitcoins for their local currency. The Bitcoin holder makes a sell order like s/he would if making a trade with a securities broker. The sell order includes the number of Bitcoins and price per coin. The user’s account is credited in the local currency when his/her order is matched to a corresponding buy order.

Convertible virtual currencies can also be exchanged for real currency using Bitcoin ATMs which are only available in select countries. While the online exchanges may take a couple of days for the euro or dollar to be transferred to a user’s account, Bitcoin ATMs take only seconds to complete the transaction.

I think there's a lot of definition about virtual money or currency. And this is one of the example of this article.

BTC, the all time favorite among all the cryptocurrency, is a huge virtual currency. Actually the virtual currency is a mode of online currency, it's concept is entirely different from that of physical currency, here you need not to manage it and neither there is risk of being stolen by anyone and moreover it provides user anonymity and does not involve any third party seizure. So in summary, virtual currency  is very innovative and impressive thought.

Indeed, virtual money is also kind of electronic money like paper money that can be used in different kind of transactions. It is more convenient because if you want to pay bills you can pay it in some easy and fastest way. Lastly, I think virtual money will become our future money in the near future.

Understanding what virtual is should really give us an idea what virtual money is. As far as i know virtual is something that does not physically exists, or intangible in nature. Therefore virtual money is made
For the purpose of purchasing items in virtual world. Moneys on online games are examples of virtual money like zenny, bellies, golds and etc. Used in purchasing equipments to make your character strong. Yeah it does have value but it depends on the popularity of the game. Some players bought virtual moneys in exchange of cash to be strong in their respective games. Just like money in real world, moneys in virtual world are being monitored as to prevent the economy from going down. It maybe similar in cryptocurrency as to they are both intangible. They still differ from how they were made and the purpose of creating such.

What is virtual money
Virtual money is called conventional units, which are represented as records in different electronic systems. All transactions usually occur using the power of the Internet, but sometimes you can dispose of electronic money using a mobile phone. Each user can exchange electronic money for cashless or cash at any time. This service also involves opening your own electronic account in a few minutes and absolutely free.
No one will say exactly when the electronic money appeared! This happened unnoticed, as there was a need to pay for services without leaving home. And, undoubtedly, in the near future, electronic money will acquire a single world-wide character.
Payment for services with virtual money is a bit like a method of calculating a regular check, but you do not need to sign by ink, but with an electronic code and a password. This method of payment is very convenient, since virtual money is instantly transferred to anywhere in the world, and almost all financial transactions can be made without contacting the bank. The relevant software controls the correctness of the transaction and pays for the purchase within a few seconds.

theres a lot of definition of virtual currency or what we called virtual money.. some says it is a unseen currency but can legally be used in payment method some says it is future currency etc. and yes every opinion and own definition and understanding are all true. virtual currency is unregulated digital money BUT still not the same as a digital money itself. because virtual currency is controlled by its  developer and not by the government while digital money is what we all have in our bank ( by using our debit and credit acct.our money becomes digital and paypal as well is considereds as digital money as we all know that ofcourse.) so that is why virtual money most of the time people think that it is illegal and can be easily used by criminals because it is not under government not even release in central bank..but still people whp knows what virtual money is.. still using this as a LEGAL payment method.

Fiat and virtual money are same in some aspects and it is upon trust who doesn't have confidence in virtual nearness can't utilize virtual money. Something else is that fiat is upheld by commodities though virtual money is totally subject to technology which makes it not quite the same as normal fiat.

Virtual money means it is a currency which does not have the physical appearance and which exists in digital form and transacted only through the internet connections. And bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies are in this virtual form. And one more thing, because of thus virtual nature crypto doesn't have any stability on its value(which always fluctuates its value as per the crypto market demand).

Virtual money for me is another form of currency which is pretty different to the paper bill currency in which we are very much used to, virtual money is another form of currency in which it don't have any physical form at all but just a digital signature or a monetary value. With the use of virtual currency we are able to implement the cashless payment method in which we don't need anymore to bring the actual paper bill currency.
