I received a lot of comments from my twitter followers asking which is the best coins to invest. My answer is simple but maybe biased as there might be more out there I have never ever heard of. Please add your points here.

1. Reputation of the team (track records and previous projects if any)
2. Transparent roadmap/whitepaper with firm dates for snapshot, development, fork, main net launch...
3. Good marketing team to convey the message and manage crisis (rumors free....)
4. Chat rooms (telegram, github, discord...)
5. Minerable or not. I personally like the coins that can be mined, that does not mean I dislike tokens, just personal preference :-)
6. Always update on the progress and responsive to the community
7. Total supply of coins/ tokens must be set at the beginning
8. Pre-sale/ICO/Public sale should be setup.
9. Has its own wallet or at least having guide for setup with third party wallets providers (MEW...)
10. Having bounty/ Ref program. This show they have a good marketing mindset :-)

If your a newbie in trading in crypto you can rely in the price like if it's high like the coins price are 0.0004 btc + then the development of that coin is good enough because the price grow in that price then you can search also about the future plan of the coins because it can grow also by that another thing if the currency already trusted like eth and btc.

I think the best way to dtermine which coin to invest is to read the white paper and threads. And also if it is longterm

Must have a strong and active community. Stay away from investing in cryptos which have a large following of community members that are only interested in price, and what exchange they are getting on next. Do your research, and look back through the history of the currency. Think medium to long term when investing. Don't follow hype. Hype is a dumping ground. Follow your gut instinct, but sell when you're excited, and buy when you're worried  ;)

All you need to do is to manage the risk. ICO's are good for investment especially if the project's will materialize once it launch on the exchange. One reason why I love ICO's you can buy cheap and sell it after, without reading whitepaper and roadmap.

i think the first reason we can find is from the famous of the coin, from that case if the community is large enough then determine the group that coin is used, but should not invest in coin that only care about profit without any product for itself, choosing to invest for long term would be much better method to encrease you profit in the future.

yes your research quite well. as per my knowledge the best things are, research on white paper, is this project realistic , team behind the project qualifications and experience . how many telegram members there and shoot about the projects to admins. how many achievements there compare with the roadmap.  i highly recommended the ICODRPOS to see whats there recommendations.  

I like the fisrt to three you listed above.
What you listed may be more suitable for using on icos. I recently invested some ico, although those Icos are recommended by some people and blog, but I still go to investigate point 1-3.

Try to find an independent study of the coin in question. This is key to determining which Crypto currency investment.

There are a few variables that you need to evaluate that are critical to a project's success such as:
1) a strong and well-staffed workforce
2) developers' ability to blockchain
3) a project that solves a problem or can get a good market share in the branch it wants to act
4) an MVP available for evaluation of users, investors and developers
5) a roadmap defined and with clear, achievable and measurable objectives
6) a hardcap that allows the ICO to obtain a high valuation of its tokens
7) a distribution of tokens that is not harmful to investors, keeping a large part of the tokens held by the company or its owners
8 a well-written witepaper that demonstrates that the project is serious, trustworthy and attractive to investors
9) It is advisable that the project maintain an open source in a repository such as github
10) a large social networking community that follows and supports the project

You should have consider a good working product/services that has use in our real world,this is the most important thing to check when you want to have solid coins in your portfolio.

That's also what I usually do but some can't read the whitepaper because of language barriers

Yes, that is what I always think of. A good product must solve the real problems, not just a store of value

How those ICOs went so far? Are they good though?

Good to know other factors like telegram, but qualifications and achievements are something hard to track  :'(

Sound interesting experience but strong and active community is a good point to me, hype is quite attractive to everyone but will dump quickly after hitting exchanges though. I experienced few like that

First of all, before getting indulge in any coin investment plan, do market research on it. Check their business perspective, reviews on third-party platforms as well as be in contact with their sales representative to know the outcome, after all, you are going to invest your valuable money in it so you have to give some time as well to make you understand to invest in it.

I like your number 1 and 6 points are those I liked from your list, the quality of the team is the most importand thing, most of these guys find out later that in theory most of their road could work but in practice it wont, just look at Golem team, raised significant amount of fundbut have been unable to deliver on their roadmap, no working product still

I think searching for the news about the coin which you are thinking of investing might be very benefical. Also I think you can read the posts about the coins and follow the price movements to make a better choice.

It will be very difficult to check all these points and take the decision about the coin (which one is better I mean). However, you will spend much time for yourself — you will be choosing your future profit. I would pick DASH, ETH and NEO.

I pay most of my attention to the the white paper, team members and the promotion plan if it.

the white paper is created by the developers of the project, it is the same as creating their own personal website, in which there will be only that information, which is beneficial both for developers and this project. All information can be like honey, But in fact, the real facts may differ. Thus, anyone who wants to deal with a promising project may well face fraud.

All of the whitepapers that I have read through are promising and attractive and it seems a marketing strategy to convince investors to jump in and no sand there at all.

Your checklist are valid and I  believe cryptocurrency is moving to real life uses. If any coin you are investing in does not have a niche where it could be use to solve real life challenges and uses,  those coin may end up dead eventually.  Msny Altcoin these days are looking to be relevant in real life.

Its hard to tell of which coin is the best to invest since almost all coins have its value and its advantages and disadvantages. Since you are going investments its good to invest on those coins that are with great value and with stable nature. Refrain from investing on new and sprouting coins.

I think, those list are enough to you to determine good coins/tokens. If i can add, you should try to looking project which have a good vision about their technology. Their tech must be new, and original. That is the most harder point to search at current markets. Most ICO or airdorp project are depends on current platform (ETH/NEO).

All of these points are important.

But I think that no matter how good a technical team is, it needs a qualified marketing team to promote their products, otherwise this token will be useless.

If u want to make money in a short term. Look at the marketing team while they could lap the price very high then u could sell it and invest another one.
If u tend to invest in a long term. Checking the reputation of the team the transparency of the roadmap, if there are app launched.
Now the chat rooms is not believable as before as many bots in the telegram group for the free airdrop.

The whitepaper is the first thing to use to determine if the coin is best to invest in. The whitepaper contains roadmap, team, and what the coins intend to do. If you are convince all this is good, then is best to invest in the coins.

I have just invested in CopyTrack, RentBerry and thinking about Shping and CryptoBnB

You are right, airdrop in telegram is so spammy and I don't know what is good and wats bad

ETH is good though and its scalability and serving as a platform for many projects. What do you think about NEO?

I can see your point and few of them have done great with marketing including bounties and referral for example

Defining its values based on roadmap is a challenge for newbies as most of them use Ethereum as platform with a fancy website and well written whitepaper

Excellent set of golden rules that you have got there. The only thing I saw missing was that you do not suggest your followers to buy blood. I like buying coin when there is a lot of fud around it and when nobody wants to touch them, TA does helps a lot in picking such coins.

one of the major reason for new coin investment is coin development whitepaper and roadmap and future goals are they attending any blockchain conference and advisor board twitter telegram and Reddit slack updates are major for coin future project estimation

Everything OP mentioned in 1st post i look for but i also look for coins with a low supply, low supply SHOULD/not always = higher price per coin/more valuable with a lower supply

One point I missed in the list is that all coins/tokens should be set with total/max supply. Never invest in coins/tokens unlimited supply. The lower the supply is, the higher price it can be in the long run.

But I think do not need to rush to invest into a particular crypto, the most important is to learn well, recognize the developer, the system, and also the technology, will be risky if we invest into something that we have not really know. So digging as much information as possible and as accurately as possible is the most important key. Openness to new information will be helpful, do not be fanatical of a single crypto, because in the early phases of the development of this crypto there will be many things that change rapidly, all can be reversed direction - the crypto, which was once very expensive because it is very good in technology can be easily overrun by newcomers who bring in more new technology, all still in the early stages of development so always open to new information about the development of cryptocurrencies.

Good point indeed, we must learn how the existing project works and what will be the usage, I think if the developers really have something to provide and the project itself will be usable in the long run not just a copy of another coin then you can buy and hold it, and also regarding to investment when
you are a serious investor you must focus in a long term journey, it is much bigger profits when holding a good and quality coin for certain years allowing the project to grow naturally.

This decision varies over time. Right now the market is in a bleeding situation which means that any coin that you invest is has a chance of decreasing in value in the short term you may not want to invest in any coin as of now and restrict your investments if you have invested in bitcoin or Ethereum.

Yes, I agree with your thought. Coins can't survive without two things, the team and the community.
That's why I see a lot of new projects lately, build their community first before delivering their products.

All the coins that have a low market cap technically have a low 24-hour trading volume and since they have a less demand that indicates that if the market continues to bleed they may not be able to sustain itself and if that happens then most probably they will go bankrupt.

A good decision of the best coin to best it depends on whether you are a long-term investor or a short-term investor, if you are investing for the long term then the bleeding of the market should not be a concern to you because the variable of your judgement is based upon the fact of the technology of the coin.

If you are investing for the short term then you should invest in coins that have a high fluctuating value on a daily bases these are coins that do not lie in the top 100 coins sure these coins fluctuates too but the more down the list it is ranked the more uncertainty of the value of the coin the more it fluctuates

Well, if it's about long term investing - I believe the best choice is to invest in a project rather than simply  buy their coins for trading later on. Find the sphere, field that you personally believe and like, review several projects there (there are lots of factors to consider - product, team, the market, communication & marketimg) and make your own choice

If you want to invest you have too look for the prices of the couns in the coinmarketcap the choose the coin that has a low calue and hold the coin for the long time or wait for the price of the coin to get high so that if you sell it or trade you will earn big with the coin that you invest.
