Somehow I known that every years first month bitcoin falling down, and then finished the January months bitcoin go with his own speed. So, first month (January) end, now 2nd month of the year 2018. Now can be rise as like 2017? or few months ago.
How says expert research!?

Bitcoin definitely increase sharply this month, 

The graphics show that every period after the winter holidays the price went down. I think it takes more than just a month to go up. I would say at least March

We don't know when is the exact date the price of bitcoin will pump again, but one thing is for sure it will pump maybe this month or after this month, if we are just waiting for the right time, for sure we will have a good output for it. Don't mind the price right now, if  you are worried then withdraw what you have.

We all hope for this thing to happen but as I can see the price movements are still dumping. We can’t say yet maybe on the start of 2nd qtr bitcoin will start to pump higher or even on march, no specific time for this one. Lets just believe on the technology of bitcoin for sure something good happen this year.

The pump up of Bitcoin price is imminent but not yet; don't think this month yet. Like I did told a friend last week that wanted to buy into bitcoin. I did advised that the price value has not finished dropping that there's still a surprise deep. So, there isnt a specific month yet.

I agree, January is usually a shitty month for crypto but because of all the FUD and new users to the space running for the hills with the sign of a drop it is looking a lot worse. If you believe in the coins you are holding and have done your research just hold but if your holding shitty coins that you thought might moon you could be in for a long and stressful  ride. There are certain metrics that will determine this. The fact that it rose in February in earlier years is not an automatic guarantee that it will rise again this month. Much depends on the news coming from the media.

There is high potential for the bitcoins to increase its price like in normal stock and share markets or any other financial markets there is a slight dip in the bitcoin market which is best time to buy some bitcoins which can help to earn more profits when the prices shoots up, in any financial market there will always be a bump and dump in the market people tend to buy the bitcoins or cryptos when  there is a dump and wait for the prices to shoot to get profits from their investments. In the near future there are chances for a huge leap in the bitcoin market.

You don't need to be an expert here. .Although we have been in this so called crypto winter, this turmoil will not stay that long as well similar to the price can't go on parabolic rise forever. This is how the market works. Bitcoin history shows that in the last couple of years, January seems to be very bearish. However, what follows is a trend were the price goes on a rally and hit all-time-high. Its just a question of time, and how long can you endure seeing the price going red. Actually we all should buy in this dips, specially if you are a long term investors. Again wee should also think that what follows after this correction is another bull run. And February could be the potential month where the price is going to rise.

Early february and bitcoin is going down again, you know it will bounce so high and reach 20k in 1 or 2 month, and at q3 and q4 of this year , the price will reach new all time high as always

Why bitcoin is falling so hard this time, even hard than the market as a whole?
It has dropped more than 50% since its ATH which is only month ago.

I have been looking forward that bitcoin will really increase in the late month of February. If you look at the graph of the trend of bitcoin these last few years, it is somehow identical. But, even experts can create miscalculations since there is no definite pattern for the trend of bitcoin.

Hopefully it might pump this month of February. Because of the long correction, I believe that bitcoin might be getting a good rebound after the biggest dump in the history. But in this month of Feb I am seeing bitcoin only at 15k USD whenever it recovers.

yes bitcoin is sure to rise again in 2 or 3 months, it's like a mandatory cycle in bitcoin at the beginning of the year is always down and on the 2nd or 3rd month the bitcoin begins to stabilize and will continue to rise.
this cycle can not be explained how bitcoin must experience something like this every year.

No, there won't be any pumps because bitcoin is not a shitcoin that can get pump and dumped by the owners. there are not owners here. there are only whales and dumb dumbs in bitcoin.

Yes, it will pump up again for sure. But base on what we are experiencing now, I think the pump that we are waiting for is not gonna happen this February. Maybe it will take a month or two for the price to fully recover from this sharp dips. But Bitcoin is unpredictably volatile, nobody knows what’s going to happen next. I’m still hoping for the better things to happen sooner.

I think no once can surely tell you about pumping or dumping of bitcoin because bitcoin price is not pumping or dumping by owner. This all things are related to market situation. My opinion for pumping and dumping is demand of bitcoin in market. As demand pump in market then price also start pumping while as demand dump in market then price also start dumping.

Surly, well saying by mate price of bitcoin totally depend on the situation of market. As market demand is directly proportional to price of bitcoin and inversely proportional of supply. Like when demand is increased in market then price also start pumping while when demand decreased then price start decreasing.

you too quickly assess, you should know that the condition of bitcoin and crypto today is different from before. hard shock at the end of 2017 makes bitcoin very weak. and crypto trading market become not normal. so consequently many people choose hodl, until the situation stabilized again.
I judge the condition today will run long, maybe until mid 2018 bitcoin will rise and high again.

I guess it can't bounce back at least for 2 months. People are afraid of the legality of Bitcoin when criminals using Bitcoin as a way to laundrying money. I heard there is a case in South Korea ( the market of the biggest Bitcoin's holder). They sent a transaction worth 600 millions dollars in Bitcoin to foreigners then send them back in fiat to the guy in South Korea! Can you image that ? Laundrying 600 millions dollars? That's truely unacceptable.

We do not know whats the actual movement would be , its all volume based movement . I see all coins moving at low prices due to major corrections happening all around. I have always observed that after major corrections usually the opposite trend starts and may this may happen with bitcoin as well. Lets wait and watch , thats what is the key to success.

So me myself 75% if analyzing the movements bitcoin price with fundamental analysis. About your question I will answer bitcoin price will go up in this mont if there's any good news or information coming to the world of crypto. For example, microsoft will reuse bitcoin as their payment tool. With the result that bitcoin price in this month will go up, I'm sure for that.

Hope your prediction becomes right and bitcoins gets back on track.I have also observed the same and it has been same from 2016 but one thing that stands out for me is once the dip gets over bitcoin doesn't stable,infect it starts rising immediately but that doesn't happen in this year.Infect their were dip and from that dip bitcoin has still not recovered at all.Soo i am unsure that it will start growing in this month but hope i am wrong.

I don't think past re-occurrences should be used as a yardstick in this situation. My reason is that, bitcoin in the past had never attained the height it did in 2017; and the recognition it had, can also not be compared. Now that it has gone below 10k, a downtrend has been confirmed, and so, i don't think there would be a pump anytime soon.

Yes today bitcoin falling under $10.000, this month bitcoin crashing so much from the end of last year. I believe bitcoin price will increase again in next few weeks or month. So just hold bitcoin for long term trade and wait to the best moment and sell it to get the huge profit from bitcoin.

It seems BTC found good support around 9000. So I'm bullish for BTC. Market cap around 450B and BTC dominance around 34%. I;m expecting 700B market cap before end of February. I'm also expecting BTC rally to 15k during this month.

No one really knows whether it will pump or not, where in at the speculative stage all we can do is conduct some price analysis to make some speculation of the bitcoin price. And most bitcoin pumps come at holidays and right now it is in a dip once again. So this is a good chance to buy more and sell high when the time comes that bitcoin will surge.

Nobody expect this happen but this is crypto and everything can happen so people who decide to invest bitcoin must aware the risk of it's volatile value !
For me as an investor, I keep hold it as long as possible although the current value makes me sad and become more pessimistic for bitcoin.

Actually i kinda expect bitcoin to recovered sooner though, and will be at its price before or even be higher.
But dunno why i look that the price even go lower. I think there are still many factors that decrease bitcoin value, and moreover another coins is being high right now, so it'll take quite some time for bitcoin to pump again.

Actually, there is no solid proof that Bitcoin will increase after the first month of the year. Yes, it has been proven that every January, the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency will decline. I got this picture on the internet :)). I think this downtrend always happen in January few recent year, maybe in this year it'll be the same and in next few weeks price of all cryptocurrency will rise back soon. It's just my prediction so we still to wait to ensure about this case :)

Yes, statistically the beginning of each year there is a drop in the price of BTC.
Most people think that this is also related to the Chinese New Year and their markets.
This year it is on February 16, so after the end of the month we can see an increase in the price of BTC.

Yes, there are chances that it will increase sharply this month because the new year celebrations will be over in china around mid February so the investors will return back and the price will go up again. There is another aspect about legalising the crypto in some parts of Asia, if those countries put a ban, then I think the price will stay like this for a bit longer until the volume of the bitcoin does not cross 20 million.

If we look at the past experiences in bitcoin pricing trends when the same tragedies were happen then according to that charts we can say that this month is enough for the price of bitcoin to recover. Bitcoins once made the high prices and now they are roaming within a certain range of amount. Not coming out of it nor going down. It is resisting in between these two levels but this will not last forever. It is a deep dip before a high jump as per the nature of crypto currencies. They always get down before bowing off. Bitcoin will certainly grow, but I have many doubts about the possibility of its pump. I think it will be going forward, but slowly.

I guess the pump cannot be expected for a pretty long time. I suppose the hugest and the highest jump of BTC is behind.

We're not off to a good start so far with all the reds.

However on the bright side, price is likely going to be reaching the bottom soon and there won't be at least as big crashes as before. In fact the chances are that bitcoin is probably going to start recovering soon, after this massive dump off.

Well let's just hope that what happen last year where February is the start of the rise of bitcoin happens will potentially happen this year so that many holders me like myself would basically sell some of their coins and get to used for important purposes.

And even the bottom will not last as there would be a lot of pending buy orders waiting at that spot, so normally, it would be nice to just have a buy order at this point that we are and load up when getting so close to that point. Around $5500 is a good point to get in and I am looking forward to that position for the long term. Even though it grow slowly but it consider to be an encouraging event in crypto life knowing that still a lot of people are in doubts of its capabilities. Actually,  some members in here are just having a test and they are somewhat to say that they can't risk their money without any assurance if returns. That's why when crypto are falling, they are the first one to move away and keep safe.

It will rise up eventually right now it is at 8500 usd mark which is around 20-25% higher than it was Yesterday. 3rd week of this month we can see the price stabilize and then pump before March approaches. I'm optimistic that it will reach 10k usd soon.

Honestly, I always like bitcoin within this kind of range, no shit, no drained energies from FOMOs, transactions are always fast as some people are already tapped out, and then I have a long chance of loading up more. However, I am not very sure we will be seeing any huge pump at this point in time. The market will consolidate sideways for a while before the start the uptrend.

Pretty long time is more like you are very certain of it. No one can tell exactly when an uptrend will ever start, but I am sure we will have some peace in the market, a lot of chance for long holders to stash up before we eventually start seeing an uptrend in the market. All this can take place for days and even weeks, so it is usually good to just wait for it.

True, bitcoin may be frustratingly volatile and very unpredictable but still many people still believes in it. Looking on the market price and seeing a dump is very annoying but just like what I said in other threads, you just have to get used to. Investing in bitcoin and in other cryptos are all taking risk but many people are still taking that because they can see that they can earn big from it. About those people who are just trying and testing how it feels to earn crypto and then walk away when the situation is not good are those who contributes on panic selling and contributes on the dump. Some people must really think that earning bitcoin somehow easy.

The price started resuming back slowly now. The price now is at $8000 plus. Good news are released on countries adapting bitcoin and blockchain. They have already decided their budget investing in bitcoin. Such moments are going to set the values on top spiking t $15K to $20K by end of March. Hope more whales pitch in investing into these coins to increase the demand and the values

I do not think we should wait for any huge pump of Bitcoin. It will come to the stabilization stage, and after that it will slowly start to go up and up. It will be a very long process as I suppose.

After previous dips we had to wait for the Bitcoin news to get out of the mainstream news channels.
I agree that we will get some rise and then stabilization.

Remember a lot of people got burned and got out or are waiting to get out when the price is at their buying price.

I think bitcoin will be on consolidation period in February.
Then if bitcoin break some resistance then it will be very good sign.

As we can see, Bitcoin is showing good indication of progress and hopefully this will continue even before or after Chinese New Year celebration. We just don't really know what is going to happen next. We will just wait and see.

I will prefer that to not be the case and this is why, bitcoin has been in a state of turmoil for almost a year, every month something important is happening, we had the struggle to activate segwit, the forks, the increase in price and now this crash, it will be better for bitcoin if it remained stable for some time there has been simply too much action in the last months and we all need a rest.

True to my personal predictions, bitcoin will recover (not fully recover), between 18 to 21 February 2018. Where, at that time the market will be re-warmed by the presence of such investors and speculators like the past years, (it's just) not as busy such as mid-December 2017.

Within the end of the ongoing month can experience a good price increase with several universally expected events to take place. One amongst is the valentines day and the next one is the Chinese New Year. With cryptocurrency we've experienced good growth by the days of Chinese new year and the same could happen this year as well.

It's hard to tell whether we will experience a rise even after bitcoin gets out of mainstream media. Although the hype has already started to die down, we are still experiencing a downward trend and this is probably caused by some early investors who exited immediately. Yes, Bitcoin always pump and down all the time. But this time I guess the price of Bitcoin will go up even though it will be a little hard and always experience decreasing of the price. All I hope is that I can collect Bitcoin as much as possible in this situation and condition. I do not care about anything else including price increasing and decreasing at the moment. When the bitcoin price drops to the lowest position as it did some time ago, I'm sure that whales are preparing big scenarios to make prices skyrocket. and I'm sure this will happen soon, hold is a good choice for profit.

From the market point of view it should consolidate before increasing its price otherwise there is a huge drop in the Bitcoin. So the best thing is it should get strong support at one value in order to increase it's price even higher.

Yes when bitcoin has been surviving in the market for almost ten years which is a proof that bitcoin is not a bubble and will be the future and there will be fluctuations in all the markets but crypto will have huge fluctuations which makes it unique and just wait for couple of months for next pump.

Just hold until it hits your desired sell choice, The whales definitely has a plan for getting this bitcoin up and pumping again. The verb in this thread title is used wrong. Bitcoin doesn't pump itself. Something else pumps bitcoin.

It hit about 9100 a few hours back before coming back down to about 8800 . I think it will take about a month to reach the all time highs again

Honestly, a pump soon after bears is not really healthy for Bitcoin. It will make it like SHITCOIN, really.
BTC growing is really organic.
Therefore, recovering in an organic step will be more realistic to stabilize the value of BTC itself. But, sure it will recover and will be rise again.

That is the nature of bitcoin that is why it is important to know what you will do if something happens, by having a plan you will be prepared no matter what bitcoin throws at you, this is why I was not surprised by the dump in the price, I knew it was coming and anyone with experience knew it was coming the only thing I could not predict is the dump will be this big.

It's already risen from $6500 or so back up to $9000+. So this month is looking really good so far.

Plus the CNY celebrations that is going to come up soon, people may start buying bitcoin again. Still a lot of weak hands though that is ready to sell whenever bitcoin drops below $8000, which imo doesn't make any sense.

If everything goes well, we can go even to $11k or beyond just like last year's pump up to $10k+ within the month. It's not guaranteed though, so prepare to hold on for longer if that doesn't work out.

That makes sense because January is the first month of new year. Let's not forget that December has two major events that causes bitcoin's price to fall down which runs until the first week of February.

We are all waiting for that moment again. January is not a good month for bitcoin and altcoins. Bitcoin is growing up again this past few days and i hope it continue to grow.

It is too early to think we are going to see any kind of pump action, we should wait to see if there is a low recovery of the price and see if we can pierce the barrier of 10k once again once that is done and everything looks stable for some time then we may begin to think of a pump again and that will take us a few months at best if we have luck in our side.

This year's start is not really a good one although we are all happy when bitcoin reached almost $19,000 and we have no complain except with the fees. This is fine to see it at $8,000 as the fees weren't that high and I can transfer $5 for a fee of $0.1 and even lower unlike when the price was on ATH, the fees were on the same level too.

Indeed this would happen in the event of changes happened bitcoin price in value of bitcoin then we don't need to worry about this. it is possible that at the end of February, bitcoin will show on a bright spot because now bitcoin already rise again by slowly pumping again until it reaches the number 15 k at the end of this month, I was expecting this to happen

I'm very confident that bitcoin will rise this month it could be 15,000usd and hopin to reach all time high very soon as the price goes up alts will follow also. If lightning network will release the price actually will skyrocket!

Yeah it is obvious the weak hands have finally leaved the building that is why the price is not longer going down, however without new people pouring money in bitcoin we do not have too much of an increase in price, so it think it is possible we are stagnant for sometime before we see an increment in the price, I do not know when that is going to happen but it will happen.

It seems the pump is just starting but we can't really make sure if this is for real. We need to wait and see the result of the trend finding move from bitcoin. Its trend is unknown now. Not an upwards or downwards type.

Just compare this year with the same timeframe in 2017 and maybe you will have your answer. (Hint: Yes.).

We already reached 10k and we are only at mid February but even if the price is slowly recovering I'm not that positive we are going to end with a price that much higher at the end of the month, the market is still shaken but with all what happened in the past month many are still no ready to invest even more money in bitcoin when they are still losing money.

The Chinese New Year has gives us a good vibes as the price climbs to $10k mark. Is this a sign of a bull run in this Heart month? We will see it in a few days, as I'm optimistic that at the end of this month we will witness a bull run.

yes of course the bitcoin will go back up how not the chinese new year event is over and the chinese will buy back the bitcoin which will definitely trigger the bitcoin price increase again it will at the pump all-out. just waiting time.

Not far from the truth. In a normal case scenario, this should happen. We will have the sideways movement, testing of supports and resistance for a while, and then one day, the bulls can decide to pick momentum and then we see the price all back and ready to rock and roll. This February though is one I am not really looking at as the possibilities aren’t there yet but if it happens, good and fine.

Well i'm quite contented already for now with side movements since it's been one hell of a roller coaster ride the last 2 months. The correction is most likely done so this movement of btc is quite healthy for the entire market if it goes sideways

Bitcoin almost doubled from its lowest point which was only two weeks ago.
I am sure we are heading ATH.

Nothing is impossible in bitcoin,as of now it would increase a little bit and I am glad that it was recovering again.Its going to pump slowly but no matter how far I believe that stability of crypto will continue.

It is really doubtful this is going to happen in February since the month is close to end and we are not even close to 20k, while it may have seemed like 20k was reached very rapidly that price was the result of a perfect storm that was in the making for years, so those that think it is something that can be reached whenever we want are mistaken, it may take all the rest of the year or even more time before we that price again, but I'm in no rush since I know I will hold until that day.

Selective quoting of statistics really won’t help. Bitcoin might have doubled in price in the last couple of weeks, but we are still far, far away from the ATH. Most assets don’t double in a couple of weeks, but they don’t lose 70% of their value in a month’s time as well.

At the time of February, the whole of the crypto-currency market has risen more than 10% from January, but once again the exchange rate of the entire market is falling due to the impact by the negative news. But surely the exchange rate will pump in mid-2018.
