What algo is this coin?

The algo is Nist5 however based on my research of the code POW was finished a long time ago however I have not tried to mine the coin to verify that.

I'm not saying anything bad, but if the meaning is to revive the past, it may be better to make a new coin with a different name :)

The meaning is not to revive the past.

The meaning is to breathe new life into this coin and that is going to happen just watch and see :D

Hmm it's already happening just go and look at the buy bump in trading for the PWR/DOGE pair at Yobit ;) https://yobit.net/en/trade/PWR/DOGE (https://yobit.net/en/trade/PWR/DOGE)

Yes this has been reported that all coins sent to yobit confirm and are in block explorer but Yobit does not place those coins in your yobit wallet. Please do not send any coins to Yobit I have already paid for a listing at a new exchange so please wait until that listing goes live I don't want you to lose any coins ok.

Also you might find this Twitter post interesting: http://www.fiverr.com/linker?username=designerhamza&view=conversation (http://www.fiverr.com/linker?username=designerhamza&view=conversation)

As you can see in the Twitter post above people are already complaining about this problem...

How about the coins earned with out of control staking, will the coins be reduced or removed after fixing the blockchain issue, like what happened to PIVX months ago?

Hello again, you probably know me from my other screen name on discord RainbowLiteDev, in any case I am super happy to see the progress moving forward with this project. I purchase a few (8M) PWR on CryptoHub and made the rookie mistake of not reading the ANN and sent them to Yobit. I have put a ticket in and will update everyone on the progress, if any. In the meantime Someone had mentioned before from the DEV position if there is anything that can be done? I did notice Yobit support has a Dev option with priority indicators that maybe worth a go when you have a chance, also I referenced the explorer and gave them a link in my ticket, that should be enough to find resolution, I hope. Like I said I will continue to update all on the progress of my ticket and in the meantime I will be stacking PWR in my home wallet!

Many users have indicated that they sent PWR coins to yobit and those transactions are in the block explorer and yet they never do appear in the wallet at Yobit. I can't control what the Yobit exchange does and all I can recommend is that if you are one of the users with this problem you should contact Yobit support to work out some kind of a resolution.

Yes as promised I paid for a new exchange listing so the community can send/receive, buy/sell the coin and you can find that exchange listing here: https://cryptohub.online/market/PWR/ (https://cryptohub.online/market/PWR/)

The official website is at: https://pwr-coin.com (https://pwr-coin.com) and it is currently under development and will be finished soon.

The official Github where you can find the currently available wallets is at: https://github.com/PWRcoin/PWRcoin/releases (https://github.com/PWRcoin/PWRcoin/releases)

Just yesterday I finished working up all new graphics for the wallet. Currently our entire dev team is working up a new wallet release and I will update this thread as soon as it is available.

How about the coins earned with out of control staking, will the coins be reduced or removed after fixing the blockchain issue, like what happened to PIVX months ago?

We are still looking into this issue. While the currently supply is something like 1.9 trillion that can be a bit misleading and the actual supply is less.

Let me explain that... whale users that had staked enormous amounts of coins experienced a huge problem in that once their wallet balance went above 80 billion the balance would go negative. This is stemming from a bit of code where the balance is actually exceeding its limits and then wrapping around negative. What this means is that some of the very biggest holders of the coin have negative balances and cannot stake or send their coins and for all practical purposes their coins are locked in their wallet. The reason I know this is because I have had some of these users submit requests to me for support to correct this issue.

Currently our plan is to continue to analyze the code and the market and if it is necessary to reduce the coin supply we will implement a method to do that in an upcoming wallet release. At the moment the dev team just doesn't have a full picture on this and so we just can't say precisely what will be taking place but rest assured when we do have a better grip on this it will be announced here in this thread.

Ugh so sorry to hear you are on the list of users that sent coins to Yobit and they never showed up in your wallet. Apparently Yobit support must be super busy because I can tell you I have had support tickets there for even 2 months and longer and never did get any response as of yet...

Hopefully Yobit will get these deposited coins fixed soon and my best advice to everyone is do not send coins there but instead use the new exchange listing at https://cryptohub.online/market/PWR/ (https://cryptohub.online/market/PWR/)

@RainbowLiteDev I do know who you are at Discord and it sure is nice to see you here in this PWR tread! BTW I am just loving my RBL coin and very happy watching them stake every day :D

Hello!
How to sync wallet? No active connections.

If you are unable to sync your wallet please make use of the official block explorer at https://blockexplorer.pwr-coin.com/network (https://blockexplorer.pwr-coin.com/network) where you can find tons of nodes that you can add for syncing.

Very soon syncing will be a mouse click worry free event as I will be adding numerous VPS nodes to support the network and an upcoming wallet release will have code modifications that make synchronizing the wallet a pleasure for all users.

[Chance to stake within an hour:] status is nothing.
(Although it was initially displayed, it disappeared halfway)

Is POS operating normally?

We have had some users report staking is working normally and yet other users have reported staking is not working or even that when the wallet stakes on windows systems there is a hard crash.

The dev team is currently looking at all of these issues :D

Yobit 15000PWR -> CryptoHub = Ok (Fast)
CryptoHub 500PWR -> WindowsWallet = Ok (Very faaaaast!!)
Windows Wallet 500PWR -> CryptoHub = Ok....but 1hour (slooow...)

- Caution -

Please read the message of CryptoHub.

This coin (PWR) has extremely high supply,
but CryptoHub supports on the balance maximum number 99 billions.
If you deposit higher number of coins (doesnt matter in one deposit or partially) it will be lost.
Minimal deposit allowed:200 PWR

Max supply ???

Currently the supply is showing a little above 2 trillion and as staking occurs it is going higher.

That number is actually not completely accurate and here is why. Some users staked huge amounts of coins and when their wallets went somewhere above 80 billion coins the balance went negative. When the balance went negative the wallet breaks and they can't send or stake any coins and literally lose the coins they have. I know this for a fact because I have had users contact me for support on this issue. What this means is each user out there who had 80+ billion coins go negative that amounts to a decent amount of the total coin supply although I can't say exactly how much.

The reason there is so much coin supply is because of an error in the code that has never been fixed. Right now our dev team is analyzing the code and also gathering data on the coins statistics. We will be releasing a new wallet version with a ton of code rework. In the code rework we will fix the out of control staking problem and if we deem necessary we may also take steps that would reduce the coin supply.

No Yobit is a huge problem because users send coins there and Yobit never puts them in the user wallet.

This is an ever bigger problem because they are not answering any support tickets on this issue and so users are losing coins ugh.

Also users have reported that they could not withdraw coins at Yobit.

I recommend you do not use Yobit for PWR coin at all.

You can buy/sell - deposit/withdraw PWR over at https://cryptohub.online/market/PWR/ (https://cryptohub.online/market/PWR/)

Question is if there is a chance to solve issues with Yobit about PWR, meybe give them a while.... ? Do You think that this is possible ?
I dont want to make any unnecessary moves with coins, there is a chance that I/We can lost them, right ?

If you withdraw coins from Yobit be careful and do small amounts and test it out. If there is any chance to solve Yobit that would sure be good for the community but at this point I am skeptical since users report having submitted support tickets even a long time ago and never get any response back from Yobit support.

Yes i get it. I understand from one side that Yobit is overloaded as they mentions few weeks ago in 300-400%. Ok, when community will notice more PWR then meybe will be good time to update Yobit wallet - this is issue right ? They got older version of wallet ?

And it will be good to activate PWR on coinmarketcap https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/powercoin/

You will need a configuration file named powercoin.conf. You will need to add those nodes in that file and then add that file to the same folder that contains your wallet.dat file. After all that just relaunch the wallet and it will connect.

The PWR core is very old and out of date and this is why many critical console commands just simply do not work. These issues are being addressed by the dev team and you will see major improvements with our release of the next wallet version.

Best PWRwallet management method.

1.backup wallet.dat

2.create "pwrcoin" folder.

3.create "data" folder in "pwrcoin" folder.

4.put powercoin-qt-x32.exe in the pwrcoin folder.

5.put wallet.dat in the pwrcoin\data folder.

6.create powercoin.conf in the pwrcoin\data folder.

7.edit powercoin.conf and input..
addnode=47.247.5.132
addnode=67.83.117.139
addnode=73.48.20.121
addnode=88.138.81.6

addnode=2a01:4f8:201:6211::2101
addnode=2a01:4f8:201:6211::2101:4504

8.create start.cmd in the "pwrcoin" folder.

9.edit start.cmd and input..
start powercoin-qt-x32.exe -datadir=./data

10.Execute start.cmd

Forget about Yobit.  Do not hold coins there.  Their wallet go on their on forks and Yobit never fixes them.  There is tons of wallets like that there.

No bother with mining it but rather hold it in your wallet and stake it.

How do i add these to the windows wallet? Tried through the debug console, "addnode=" command isn't recognised

Those who prefer using debug console, try "addnode <ip> add" command and see if it works.

I'm not saying anything bad, but if the meaning is to revive the past, it may be better to make a new coin with a different name :)
I fully support you, why rebuild the old when you can build a new one. And to build a house on the old Foundation is not that.

PWR coin
"Knowledge is PWR!"

Initial Announcement Details

Previously, this coin was known as Power coin and has been around since mid 2016. Some time after initial release it became apparent that coding errors were causing this coin to stake out of control. This resulted in a variety of problems and unfortunately nobody ever bothered to fix the coin and so all of these problems have existed until now. This announcement is to let you know that the coin is now under new management and has a very capable and proven development team behind it. Even as I type this ANN work is going on to re-brand, fix and breathe new life back into this otherwise dead cryptocurrency.

Current Status Of This Project

Quick Update: The dev team has updated Github and the readme file now includes a link to Discord as well as a full set of instructions for compiling the Linux daemon and Linux QT wallet using Ubuntu 16.04. We are now working on the compile routines for Windows and Mac and will update Github and release those directions as soon as they are ready.

On Yobit has such a feature InvestBox is called, so there is 100% a month for her promise, thereby promoting their coin. And if it gives way then the use of these 100%... but on the cue ball and more reliable coins give only 6% per month... it's more interesting I think...

Right now there is no mining. However the dev team is looking at turning the mining back on with the next wallet release.

We are considering a degrading mining payout where the payout will be much higher to build excitement and momentum then the mining payout will gradually reduce for a period of 5 years and then level off.

What is the point of this coin?
Does it solve any problems that are not already solved by other coins?
Can it do anything that an existing coin can't already do?
Does it stand out in any way from other scam/pointless/pump&dump coins?

The point of this coin is to be the coin that has the potential of replacing all fiat globally.

The problem it will solve that no other coin has solved is that it will have a large enough supply and meet other criteria which will make it a candidate to be a global currency.

It stands out in my opinion or I would not be pouring a ton of money and time in it.

Please give me a little more time to complete the white paper. When you are able to review the white paper you will see a full presentation of the strategy behind this coin going forward. You may or may not agree and you may or may not like it but at least you will have all the information you will need to decide for yourself.

In your wallet click the receive tab at the top then click New Address button at the bottom - give it a label and click ok - and then click Copy Address button at bottom and use that address...

There will not be any swap of the coin before during or after the upcoming hard fork.

Yes the supply is large but not as large as it seems because the largest whale wallets had their balance go negative when they let the wallets get above 80+ billion coins. At the fork we are reducing the POS from about 1095% per year to 1% per year and this will be a huge help. We are also turning NIST5 POW mining back on and this should help the coin build a larger community. I am hoping to see the coin gain in value and would really like to set it return to 1 sat of BTC and then climb higher but only time will tell.

The dev team is doing a lot of experimenting with a way to "burn" coins to reduce the existing supply. This might be something like a transaction fee where when you send coins a percentage of them get sent to a burn address so they are taken out of circulation. We are also considering other options and will do more testing. Our thinking is to get this next release out and it has a ton of great improvements. With this upcoming release out and stable we will continue working on the next release that will hopefully include a stable way to burn and reduce the supply.

Important Notes

  • The coin is trading at Yobit and community feedback indicates you can buy/sell but you cannot deposit and you may or may not be able to withdraw

So, what must i do to collect my coin from yobit exchange? for this momment i have seen the withdraw button still working. But i don't know it working or not, cause i don't withdraw it yet.

Regards
Hyudien

Many members have reported that they sent coins to Yobit and the coins transacted and show in the block explorer but then the coins never were displayed in the yobit wallet and so the coins were lost. There have also been members who reported they could not withdraw coins from Yobit.

My advice is that if you send or withdraw from Yobit be very very careful and only send a couple of coins to test it...

Is the wallet from the official website still same with yobit wallet or it was updated. If still same, i think it'll working correctly. And i think you should contact the admin of yobit to clarify about PWR coin. And, it'll be better for us to always support this project and got belived from the community.

yobit does not update any wallet ever, yobit does not respond to tickets. try to withdraw a few coins for a test first. a few months back withdraw worked but if you deposit they just steal the coins. Fish

very good news for pwrcoin.

However it's still showing negative balance.  Can this be fixed before the fork?

https://image.prntscr.com/image/YvWKJES9Q6K7g2zZbr4Umg.png

I have seen this negative balance many times now. What happens is once the wallet stakes up to more than 80 billion the balance goes negative. You won't be able to send coins out of the wallet and if you send coins to the wallet the balance will go lower but still be negative. This happens because the code can not handle a number that big.

You won't be able to fix the problem and the coins will be lost. It is aggravating and sad I know but this is simply a limitation of numbers...

There is one positive side to this otherwise annoying issue and that is that I have seen many wallets like this and it adds up to an enormous amount of coins - just your wallet alone is nearly 92 billion pwr coins  :o :o :o. This means that the total coin supply is not nearly as large as you might think. The largest whale wallets out there have negative balances and when you combine all of them it is an astounding amount of coins that are now out of circulation. In some ways you could say this is a form of coin burn...

so let me get this straight, I've spent 3 months of mining 24hrs for nothing?

Also all the exchange wallets that show negative balances will just go poof?  surely most exchanges that handle powercoin would have negative balances by now.

It doesn't seem fair nor good for public relations to just burn peoples' hard earned coins because of a simple coding error.

I'm sorry you don't feel it's fair and I can definitely understand why you would be frustrated but I have zero control if a user stakes the wallet beyond its capacity.

I can't speak for any exchanges as I have not been contacted by them. Also the coin is only tradeable at one exchange which is CryptoHub. Every exchange that ever traded the coin like Yobit and Bleutrade have either de-listed the coin or the wallet is offline and you can't deposit or withdraw coins.

What I have recently observed is that if a user or an exchange allowed a wallet balance to go beyond the capacity of the code the wallet balance will be negative and those coins will be lost. In the last few months I have seen numerous wallets such as yours with a negative balance. I have spent hours giving community support because of this issue and the dev team has spent substantial time and labor in a futile attempt to solve the problem.

The reason this got people such as yourself and others is that it was not common knowledge that this would happen and people had no idea it was coming. Then to make matters worse one day your wallet has 80 billion coins and is ok and the next day you look at it and it has exceeded the capacity and is now negative.

The current development team did not cause this problem and for sure we can't possibly replace the coins as we don't even have the coins to do that if we wanted to.

There is no public relations issue for the current dev team simply because we did not cause this problem.. we did not burn anybody's coins that is for sure.

Hello, can you send me some powercoins? Or it's not possible since balance is not usable. At least we can try. I have only 11 million powercoins. I got it from yobit free coins. I'm trying to increase my staking power.  :)

Quick update:

PWR Coin is in the top 10 for BTC trading volume at CryptoHub Exchange! https://cryptohub.online/market/PWR/

We have also seen a huge price gain going from .01 sat of waves now up to .01 sat of BTC

I anticipate the volume will be good as I think there will be investors that buy at .01 BTC and then restack the coin higher up the sell wall to profit on the rise in price as we come into and through the fork!

Title: Re: [ANN] PWR coin | Re-branding | New Dev Team | An Old Coin Is Getting A New Life

ATTENTION!

If you doubted that PWR coin could get better you may want to re-think your conclusion :D. The new dev team is doing amazing things and the community is very strong. In the last 2 weeks the price has gone from .01 sat of waves to .01 sat of bitcoin and you might want to do the math on how big of a gain that is. As of today our BTC trading volume is in the top 10 at CryptoHub Exchange actually number 7 to be exact at the time I am typing this.

There is a hard fork coming in a few days and you MUST update your wallet which you can download here: https://github.com/PWRcoin/PWRcoin/releases To be precise the hardfork will occur at block 823000 and you can keep track of that by using our official block explorer at https://blockexplorer.pwr-coin.com/

The new wallet has a TON of great improvements and features to help this coin and you should read all of the release notes at the link above.

A lot of big things are on the horizon that are going to matter. A white paper is being worked on and will be released soon, the website is being completely reworked and will be done soon, we are working on an e-commerce plugin that will allow websites to accept PWR coin for payments and the list goes on.

Also, the community is very active so you should join in on the fun over at Discord: https://discord.gg/MgkaJYP

Almost time dont miss  out guys.

guys we will see the price of pwr 10 satosi after 2018.so guys don't miss .buy and hodl it long time.you will get very good profit from it.

Thanks for your outlook. However, I beg to differ from your views for the following reasons although I know the new team is working hard behind scenes to bring this coin back to life.
1. Would you consider at close to 2.5 Trillion in supply at 10 sat it would make this coin worth $2.25B at current BTC price at $9000. I seriously doubt that it could ever be so.
2. When the coin supply is in the Trillions, there can't be any possibility of a huge price movement.
3. Unless the coin enters some major exchanges it would be hard to get exposure.
4. Whales have been complaining about their wallets with negative balances. This could be bad to the image of the coin.

Correct me if I am wrong with my concerns above. I am willing to learn always and am open to such conversation.

fork in a few days if your not on the new wallet your coins wont work, supply far less because we forking away. jump on now or standby and see. we will have a coin count after the fork and see what is necessary. But all those Whales stuck with negative balance will stay on old power chain and remain. all the people who dont update to the new wallet will remain. Coins in cir will be a nice number far far less. Fish

Anybody know current circulating supply and total supply of PWR coin?

It's hard to nail down but my best guess is that the circulating supply is a bit below 1 trillion coins.

Total supply will be 2-3 trillion unless the dev team decides to do a burn but we hope to avoid that and would prefer to keep the supply how it is...

I sthis one of many reason  that the price of the bitcoin is decreasing lately. I'm still hoping that the price of Bitcoin will be always available for everone.

Does the old development team come in the dreams of the potential new team and give them all the necessary tools and access to the project etc?

PWR coin has forked at block 82300... to fix it please follow closely the  steps that are provided below:

Step 1: Determine if your wallet is ok. In the lower corner of your wallet HOVER your mouse over the green check mark and see what the block height is and then compare it to the block explorer at https://blockexplorer.pwr-coin.com/ IF you match do nothing if you DO NOT match proceed like this...

Step 2: Create a backup copy of your wallet.dat and then shut down your wallet

Step 3: Open your wallet datadirectory and delete >>> folder named txleveldb, folder named database, file named blk0001.dat, file named peers.dat and file named pwrcoin.conf.... if you do not have a file named pwrcoin.conf ignore that deletion

Step 4: Download the blockchain and unzip it from:  https://github.com/PWRcoin/PWRcoin/releases/download/v2.0.1.0/blkindex-postfork-05122018.zip

Step 5: AFTER you unzip that you must copy folder named txleveldb, folder named database, file named blk0001.dat INSIDE of your datadirectory

Step 6: start your wallet and let it synch and then MAKE sure it matches the block explorer

NOTE: coins at cryptohub exchange are fine and are not affected do not worry about them

How does a new team take over an abandoned project though?
Does the old development team come in the dreams of the potential new team and give them all the necessary tools and access to the project etc?

Hi,

That's a good question. In this instance it was completely abandoned, members of the old community pointed us at
some of the source code on github.
So it starts by forking the source on github.

Rebranding of the wallet.
Figure out the build process for linux and windows ( often documentation is out of date or simply does not work ).
We got some help from Mystere.
For PWRcoin we needed 2 weeks to design a new windows built system using MXE, so that we could finally
build a 64 bit version of the wallet.
When we were able to compile our own wallets, we started on building the block explorer and first seed vps.
We then worked on getting testnet online. ( another 2 vps's ).

At this point we decided which bugs to fix and which new features to add to the codebase.
We spend about a month testing it on testnet and released it all mid april.

Meanwhile we found amazing ppl to help re-connect with the awesome community on discord.
A talented developer provided a tipbot, and slowly things started to move again...
DisasterFaster got us on a new cryptohub.online exchange , rebuilt the website from scratch etc...

So TLDR, in a nutshell,
It takes money, time and resources to pull something like that of.
it grows slowly organically over time...

Yobit is on the old chain. when you have a problem with a exchange you need to send a ticket to them, our developer is working and does not control the exchanges.

If I understand correctly, after the fork the total supply has decreased to 1 trillion?
Is the old chain still present in the exchanges?

Is the old chain still present in the exchanges?

Way less than 1 trillion... 500,029,387,140 as of the time of this post.... so just say 1/2 a trillion

As far as I know the old chain is still present at Yobit and CoinExchange and Bleutrade. The new chain is running smooth at CryptoHub Exchange.

The coins pre-fork are all safe at those old chain exchanges or at least they should be however any POS coins post-fork at those exchanges will not be valid if and when they update the wallet.

At the moment we are not excited to take those exchange listings live because CryptoHub has us listed at sub-satoshi and so if those exchanges go live they would likely pair us with Doge and this would not be desirable as it could drive the price lower and honestly .01 sat of btc is to low already...

Our goal is to get the coin up to at least 1 sat of BTC and cryptohub and THEN take it back live at the other exchanges paired with BTC

When you start comparing taking over an existing coin vs. launching a new coin the amount of work required for either one is not vastly different.

Yes it's very cool!

For days and days now PWR coin has been dominating 24 hour trading volume at Cryptohub... many times first place other times always in top 1-2 or top 1-3...

Has anybody bothered to take a look at the exchange  ???

PWR Coin volume has grown and we are by far the number one coin at CryptoHub for trading volume.

We have also seen some very helpful price increases.

The community is growing rapidly at Telegram, Discord and Twitter and are very excited about the project.

We will be releasing the white paper any day now and the website should be rebuilt and ready to go by the middle of June which would be about 2 weeks before the road map deadline.

The E-commerce plugin is in progress and will also be done before the deadline.

We are working very hard trying to get CoinMarketCap to correct their information as every single item they are displaying on the coin is all incorrect at the moment. If you do a Google search please disregard the CoinMarket listing for now until such time as we can get the information corrected. We don't want the community bent sent to unauthorized websites or binary downloads or source code :)

Looking forward to seeing how this coin performs moving forward. Just grabbed a good sized bag of it and was eager to start staking, but having an issue - the first lot of 99000000 I tried to withdraw got flagged as unsuccessful - just tried a much smaller amount of 10 coins to see if it was a 1 off, or if there is an actual issue. Sent a ticket to Cryptohub, and will report back if anything.

Just a notice, the second one had an issue too - might need to have them take a look at the issue.

Before the rebranding and fork the coin was previously listed at Yobit, BleuTrade and CoinExchange. Currently the plan is once we have good trading volume and the price is stable at or above 1 satoshi of BTC we will take steps to turn those exchanges back on.

great! even CE is more than enough.  ;D the bottleneck is the trading volume in cryptohub. i don't know many people using that exchange. so that's one thing that might hinder in getting another exchange. but at least, this is still alive!  ;D

You can synch the wallet in just a few minutes. We always keep an updated copy of the blockchain on the download page.

Download this: https://github.com/PWRcoin/PWRcoin/releases/download/v2.0.1.0/blkindex-postfork-05272018.zip

Unzip it and copy/paste this inside of your data directory and boot the wallet.

You will be synched in a few minutes :)

Seems this coin is very alive and well,,, plenty..

Quote
If you allow your wallet balance to go higher than 80 billion coins your balance can go negative and you may lose your coins! If you are a mega-whale we highly recommend you do NOT allow your wallet balance to exceed 50 billion coins but rather create more than one wallet so that you can control your balance and keep it well below the danger zone. If you allow your wallet to go above the maximum amount and lose your coins we will attempt to help you recover them but in the event they can't be recovered it will not be our responsibility to replace them.

Nice term mega-whale.
By the way, 80 billion PWR is 104 BTC.

other coin market makers including myself are very happy with this progress for cryptohub, it is a well managed exchange on par or better than many $500k+ exchanges that charge 1btc or more for listing. If you want to list with cryptohub then do it as soon as they enable listings again. I stocked up on Crocs because I suspected this scenario in favorable circumstances.

I suspect this was the old chain of PWR coins. Since the fork, the old chain doesn't work. Thus, the faucet will not work either.

No it was definately working until last night ive been using it. It was on Cryptohub now replaced with the new one last night.  The thing is since they disabled it  i have two transactions that have conflicts and has caused errors and slow syncing to my wallet.

has the pwr coin faucet been discontinued http://mn4free.com/pwr/ keeps saying faucet disabled??

I suspect this was the old chain of PWR coins. Since the fork, the old chain doesn't work. Thus, the faucet will not work either.

Ignore the quoted text above it was my fault....have installed the post fork files from the zip on github and PWRcoin wallet is running smooth ..panic over  :D :D :D ;D ;D ;D

Ah, I don't think it has something to do with this specific project. All the coins are going down for a while now with the exception of a few bull traps we've been through this year. Hope this will end soon btw. I personally think this is an interesting project.

Cheers.

Yes but I think you cannot withdraw from there. The coin has forked so its a different chain now. You can buy but never withdraw.

My understanding is that you should not use Yobit for PWR - different chain. There was a fork, and Yobit is still on the old one.

Correct Yobit is on the old chain. We hard forked on 12 May 2018 with v2.0.1.0
Anyone who upgrades now will need to re-sync the blockchain and forfeit their staking rewards since 12 May.

Is there a MAC based wallet available for PWR?

Not at this time. NIST5 coins contain very very old code base with a super outdated QT PRO build routine.

Our dev team spent an enormous amount of time to correct that and we did produce a cross-platform build routine for the code base and to my knowledge no other NIST5 dev team has ever pulled that off.

With all that being said the labor required to do this for MAC is huge and I am not saying it will never happen but I can say don't expect it right away. In the meantime please consider using a VM with the linux wallets.. other users have used this approach and so far it is working for them.

Quick Update: New Wallet Version Released

# PWRcoin Release Notes for v2.0.2

This release is named "Inveniam viam", based on the latin phrase "Aut inveniam viam aut faciam" which means "I shall either find a way or make one" . The phrase has been attributed to Hannibal; when his generals told him it was impossible to cross the Alps by elephant.

This is a minor release with important bug fixes and some new features.

## Changes in 2.0.2

* NEW social menu with links to all our social channels
* NEW tools menu
* NEW open wallet config file direct from tools menu
* NEW The active wallet dat file shows up in the debug window
* NEW Network Traffic widget graph
* NEW Network Peer view table
* FIX #18 #15 wallet no longer crashes when selecting too many inputs
* FIX #2 negative balance issue fixed, max is now 184B but it will accept more , just not display it.
* FIX #11 network handling bug causing wallet crash was fixed.
* NEW introduction of the -zapwallettxes flag to help clean and rescan transactions from blockchain

PWRcoin core v2.0.2 is now available at:
https://github.com/PWRcoin/PWRcoin/releases/

Please report bugs using the issue tracker at github, we will not use bitcointalk forum for handling bug reports.
https://github.com/PWRcoin/PWRcoin/issues

## Upgrading

### Upgrade from v2.0.1.0

If you are upgrading from version 2.0.1.0 , shut it down. Wait until it has completely stopped (which might take a few minutes).
Backup your wallet.dat file ( which you should always do regardless of an upgrade event )
then copy over PWRcoin-qt.exe (on Windows) or just copy over PWRcoin-qt (on Linux).

### First time installers

If you are using this wallet for the first time, you can chose between the following 2 methods:
  * (Recommended for beginners) Let it sync with the network, which will happen automatically.
  * (Faster but requires Windows skills) Use the provided blkindex-xxxx.zip file. Simply unzip this file in your %APPDATA%/Roaming/pwrcoin folder and on the next restart of the wallet , it will automatically use it to sync the blockchain.

You can reach us on discord if you need any help. https://discord.gg/nrETr8G

Just to clarify this is not a soft or hard fork , PWR is not staying on the same chain, they are swapping to a new chain.
So lets stop using the word "fork" its confusing people.

Yes you will need to send all your coins to the Cryptohub exchange during the Swap period which expires on 30 July 2018.
The exact swap ratio / inflation and circulating supply will depend on the final count of coins after the swap period expires.

Holmes-Kuki this is not an ICO.

a coin swap document has been shared on social media, you can find it on Discord channel https://discord.gg/Pgw2RNS
The Dev team is working hard on the new wallet , as well as technical preparations for the coin swap.

Hi,

Unfortunately, we have to delist PWR on LycheeBit.
Last days, we had problems with chain splits.

We paid miners in the right chain blocks found which became orphans after these payouts, even after many confirmations.

There seems to be a problem of difficulty adjustment. Sometimes, we could find blocks each second. Therefore chain could easily.

Nevertheless, we wish good luck for the future fork.

Got it.

TL:DR - Coin swap ratio depends on final count on coins by Cryptohub. Point is to reduce coin supply.

I'll support the project until I am dead.

You will be able to use the PWR PAY payment gateway on your website as long as it is one of the platforms that we integrate with.

2) What algorithm are you using/plan on using?
3) What is the supply here?

Heads up folks!

We have an issue where if you reboot your wallet after block 1 million on the blockchain the wallet will not load and will error out.

We have diagnosed the problem, fixed the code and are compiling and testing the binaries.

As soon as testing shows no problems we will update you and release the wallets...

GreenStreet Mining Pool

PWRcoin has been added to our mining pool!

visit us on https://coinminingpool.org (https://coinminingpool.org)

Code:
-a nist5 -o stratum+tcp://coinminingpool.org:6600 -u <PWR_WALLET_ADDRESS> -p c=PWR

0.42% Mining Fee / Payout every 15 minutes

In this mining pool, does it have a minimum value to be able to make the withdrawal, or will the withdrawal be automatic when it reaches a certain value?

It is not possible to send coins from 2.0.1.0 to 3.0.0.0 this is two different blockchains.

There was a coinswap and the deadline has already passed so you will not be able to swap the old coins for the new ones.

My best advice is to hold onto them and hope that a new dev team will pick up the old coin in the future. Also, they are trading now at Yobit (the old coin) but the wallet is in maintenance. Keep an eye on the Yobit wallet and if it goes active you can trade the coins there.

It was never in the roadmap. It was announced many places like Bitcointalk, Website, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Google Plus, Telegram, Discord, Exchange Troll Box, etc. Over 1 trillion coins were turned in. If you did not participate in the swap my best recommendation is to hold on to those old coins and wait and see if a new dev team will pick that old coin up. It is trading at Yobit but the wallet is in maintenance so keep an eye on that exchange in case they take the wallet out of maintenance.

in the road map and white paper it is clearly said about the wallet version 2 and the wallet enchanesent, but neither what about the purse version 3 and the swap, it's the key event, the money invested in the coin 2 remained unsupported by the developers, make the transfer from purse 2 to purse 3 with normal instructions and place on the official website

It is not possible to transfer coins from 2.0.1.0 to the new wallet version 3.0.0.0.

A manual swap was done at CryptoHub.online exchange and the deadline has passed.

At this point all you can do is hang on to your old coins and wait and see if Yobit enables the wallet or if a new dev team picks up that old coin.

I am not sure the minimum wallet balance as there are variables such as how you have your inputs distributed and what the network weight is which changes. You could ask around in our telegram or discord and see if some people in the community can share their staking info compared to different balances that they have :)

The POS annually will be 1% or less.

As far as mining the coin you can solo mine or pool mine but most likely you will need to pool mine. We have a couple of mining pools running now: https://hashpool.eu/ | https://coinminingpool.org/ Also, Ethano is working on a mining tutorial video which will be ready any day now...

EDIT:  Here is a Youtube tutorial video on how to mine PWR coin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0GX-j5mjEs&list=PLmbqZKutIBXzugIwtk4yp3wV6UR1fdTxs

Good evening, I would like to know what is the minimum currency "PWR" to start receiving the rewards of the POS system, and what is the percentage (%) of annual average profit?

I am not sure the minimum wallet balance as there are variables such as how you have your inputs distributed and what the network weight is which changes. You could ask around in our telegram or discord and see if some people in the community can share their staking info compared to different balances that they have :)

The POS annually will be 1% or less.
Good afternoon, why am I not making withdrawals with "PWR"? my balance is in "yobit" for why I can not perform looting, is your blockchain still working normally?

Yobit is on a different chain and also the wallet at Yobit is in maintenance so you can't deposit or withdraw coins. The blockchain at Yobit is moving along fine as far as I know and the new blockchain we are using for PWR coin is also moving just fine.
Good afternoon, Drugs and YoBit do not respond to my ticket ... what other exchanges do you play? taking "CryptoHub" and "YoBit"? and how do I mine the "PWR" with an Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor and an Nvidia GT630M Video Card?

The coin at Yobit is a different name Powercoin and a different logo and different blockchain. It can't interact on our blockchain.

Our coin is PWR Coin and right now it is only listed and trading at CryptoHub.

Good afternoon, sorry for the mistake so I found it to be the same because the coin tag was also "PWR" and I did the programming to mine for "Hashpool.eu" and it is mining both the CPU and the GPU correctly sometimes the mining file of my GPU closes without reporting error or anything, what could be happening? I am using the "ccminer 2.0 64bits" since my card is from Nvidia
Here is the ".bat"

ccminer-x64 -a nist5 -o stratum + tcp: //pool.hashpool.eu: 2502 -u PJBthhcXKVwJcStXp1wWPWBkuapTZGWiQY -p c = PWR

Hi guys;

I have an issue, I bought 26018188.40515002PWR. Due to the reality that I was going to be busy and not be able to access my accounts, in addition to, PWR Swap was announced, hence, I transferred the said account to Cryptohub exchange. I have just tried to check Cryptohub and the site is no longer or being rebranded.

I have yet to upgrade my wallet too. [PWR v2.0.3.0]

If you did not retrieve your coins from CryptoHub before they went offline you have very few options. Supposedly somebody bought the old exchange and is bringing it back online someday. You could wait and see if that happens and go from there.

Yes it will just as long as you import your wallet.dat file from your previous wallet.

Be sure to make a backup copy of your wallet.dat BEFORE you upgrade just to be safe!

Thanks.

If you missed the swap deadline I do not know of anyway to recover those coins. The old chain is still trading at Yobit but the wallet is in maintenance there so as far as I know you can't send the coins there for trading.

Quick update: we had some issues with seed nodes that was likely causing these various syncing issues. Gary Hobson teamed up with me to sort it all out. I am now doing testing to verify that all is cleared up. If that goes well I will ask the mac users with sync issues to verify our fix so I can close that issue and get ready to release our pwr pay plugin. Don't want to release it with any major issues in play....

It means that you mined an orphan block. When 2 or more people mine the same block at almost exactly the same time only 1 person is allowed to have it and so when this happens the winner is the one with the least amount of network latency...

This is a phenomenon that is common to cryptocurrency in general.

Hello, I've got pwr coins stuck at YOBIT exchange, as I understand they no longer trade them, been holding them since 2018. So I assume, no swap is possible right now? They are just numbers on screen now there?

Have got same problem. I think just the developer team can contact yobit to give access for swap old coin to the new one. Hope this issue will get answer asap by power team. Anyway, i have sent tikect to yobit team, but still didn't get any reply.

Any PWR coins stuck at Yobit are from the old dev team and from the old pre-swap chain.

Quick Update: We have been off a few weeks to celebrate the holidays and have an unfortunate update... Gary Hobson has made the announcement that he will be exiting our dev team in the next 90 days. PlainKoin and myself will continue on and we are now looking to add a new developer if we can find a qualified and interested person...

If you have any pwr coins in the discord tipbot OR if you have any pwr coins in the online wallet you need to get those removed. The deadline will be the last day of February 2020. Any coins left will be lost because the tip bot and online wallets are going off line for the swap.
